It's more of the same if you read "Evil Emperor's Wild Consort".

The world is filled with braindead people, jealous girls, and incompetent rulers. Clans, empires, sects, organizations that lived through hundreds of years with elders just as old, that still easily believe lies without any supporting evidence or investigation.

There's a bit of improvement in terms of character development when compared to the author previous work, with an attempt to give side characters their own circle of friends, lover, and stories. This is my second C-novel that I've read and as of today I've completed many of it as I've spent half a year reading only. GEWW is one of my favorite novels, as well as other Xiao Qi Ye's novels. It is good, and if you're only starting to read wuxia novels I strongly recommend you to read it first as it was like this story is the basic of the genre. Started off the same as Genius Doctor black belly miss, the beginning of their stories totally similar, with a grandpa and a crippled uncle. I read them at the same time while comparing which one has better developments and more interesting.

I dropped GDBBM because the MC in this 1 is waaayyyyyyyy better. And the development in the beginning is also better.

The MC is quite flirtatious which is kinda rare for this kind of novels, the MC and the ML characters' developments are in the right pace. They're ruthless, decisive, but... more>> I found it okay because for those villains, you just need to cut them off the root. Delaying to kill them to get more headache in the future is definitely unnecessary. Their romance is great.

and above all, kudossss to the translators and the editor of this novel. Their constant and fast updates, and great translations. Very thankful for their hard work. <<less

Ahhhh just finished MTL'ing the whole book. It's a fun ride. In the beginning, I was like, what tr*sh is this? But I found it a guilty pleasure read so I continued (hehe). But then, as the story went on, I found it more and more interesting - more like, I liked how ruthless and lazy Yun Luofeng was. Sure, there is the endless round of cannon fodder name calling, spreading rumors, trying to steal people's man/woman etc but there's usually retribution in return. The ending was rushed but I... more>> guess the author was tired? The HuaXia bits were fun and the last few chapters giving us the story of YLF and YX child (ren) was fun as well. I like Evil Emperor's Wild Consort more as a whole as I find the storyline, characters, and pacing superior to this novel but this one certainly has lots of knee slapping laugh out loud moments for me. :D <<less

Has a lot of similarities with gdbbm novel, however if you are the type to dislike regular plot holes/- perhaps this novel is not for you. On the other hand all those holes in the story sort of make it more fast paced- hence for those who are familiar with this genre and enjoy it - this novel could be a right one for you.

I've started reading a dozen Chinese language web novels but always discarded them as too slowly paced to be of much interest. I got 30 chapters into one novel before realising not even three days had passed in the stories timeline and the plot hadn't moved an inch.

This is the first novel I've read to break that trend and I was surprised how refreshing I found that. It has timeskips! You don't know you'd miss them until they're not there anymore and you're reading a novel about a super powered... more>> Mary Sue taking revenge on the cruel and corrupt and have to wade through 50 chapters of petty household intrigue before you even meet half the main characters

I recommend it for that alone but the story is pretty good by itself. The humour isn't forced but springs naturally from the general ridiculousness of of the people and events that transpire. The tone doesn't try to make you feel self conscious for enjoying this blatant power and revenge fantasy. The basic premise (transmigration/fantasy historical setting/cheat powers/medicine) may be the same as many other web novels but since I never read the later results of that setting (usually because nothing much happens in the first 200 chapters and by that point who even cares anyway?) so I'm eager to see where this story will lead me. <<less

As some have said in previous comments, it does have a striking resemblance to the Black Belly Miss Novel. Although I feel like the MC and the ML's personalities are switched in this novel. As opposed to the MC in BBM who is cold, ruthless, and yet naive, the ML in this novel takes on those traits. Vice versa with the MC in this novel being rather shameless and taking liberties with the other character. But since I enjoyed BBM, I really don't mind these similarities and actually enjoy this... more>> novel as it is thus far. I've obviously been reading the raws since no one has translated the rest yet. I don't want to rate the Novel since I'm not really in depth to the storyline at chapter 55. Hopefully this novel keeps my interest though. <<less

I am sad. I tried to open the chapter translated by Radiant but could not open them. I am enjoying the story despite the cliche sypnosis and looking forward to her first movements against the royalty, but sadly, it seemed that they took it off from their list? If there is an alternative translation website where I can continue reading this, please tell me.

FRUSTATED: so I was really enjoying this story enough so that when the chapters ran out here I went to Amazon and bought the books so I could finish the story. Not only are there missing chapters here and there, the last 5 or 6 chapters were a repeat of a chapter from the earlier part of the story!!! I never got to finish. I'm so disappointed. Note- the main story was completed and there were two follow up stories that I was also enjoying but I can't FINISH... more>> THE LAST ONE!!!! AAARGH!!! <<less

I hate dropping novels once I've decided to read them, that's why I rarely read ones this long. Unfortunately, the storyline got a little bit boring for me by now. MC is an OP character and all the villains are one-dimensional characters which bring shame to being a "villain". The revenge arc is concluded by around Ch300, so if that's what you're only after and you're nearing it, that storyline is soon to conclude.

It must be because I've read EEWC first that I somewhat felt GEWW is a bit lacking in some aspects? Although both novels had a lot of similarities like the transmigration of another soul into an ab*sed-regarded-as-tr*sh-girl body then miraculously become op af with the medical skills and exraordinary talent in every possible aspect (ofc, the unwordly psysical beauty too). Along with the numerous fortuitous encounters to shortcut her level up to become the peak of power and such, I think what differs the two novels are probably the the... more>> characters and the plot quality.

For GEWW, I think there were too many parts that were too 'jumpy' (simply skipped over) which I think could've explored more and explained with more detail by the author. I mean I love it when the MC achieves thing and wins but it bothers me when they just simply get it, you know what I mean? Yeah. There were alot of that events here. Another thing is there were also a lot of questions that were left unanswered for me,

like what happened to Longxiao Continent/Land of No Return when all that fiasco happened? Her Steel/Flame troops did she just keep them in that little realm of let them free? Qingyan her loyal maid? The other spirit-energy rich continent of Fengyuan? Her Yun/Jun/Ye family members? How did all those dragons ended up locked underground & their origins? Medical God Code's origin story (who is Cang Li), helloooo? these are just some that I want answers to but forgotten along the and even the ending felt a short & rushed (heck, wasn't she even pregnant with her 2nd child when she went back to Huaxia? What happend to that???)

there's also too much dumbass one dimensional character who falls for either one if our main leads, with the mentalitythem'i deserve her/him more, kill their partner' when it was so EXPLICIT that they got no interest, it annoyed me so much because there's one like, , in every arc. Its too unnecessary! ! There's also not much schemes here, but more fighting and action.

Now for the characters. I've gotta say that Yun Xiao is probably one of my favorite male leads now, I love how he's so docile & indulging to her and just lets our MC grow on her own until the time comes when she's in a pinch and our man comes on clutch lol I think one of the things I liked in GEWW & probably its strong point, is its strong romance line, the progress development is early and stable and our leads don't act like naive teens so we get much action *winkwink*. As for our MC Yun Luofeng, I'll be honest too say she's not probably for all, even for me, she got some qualities that perturbed me (she's too violent, sometimes she goes too far in her punishment compared to the wrong she received). If you'd compare her with Gu Ruyun from EEWC, i'd go with GRY, they are pretty similar except GRY is smarter & more prudent, a much more developed character than YLF, tbh. Well I couldn't really blame the author since I knew this was one of their earlier works (i didn't read EAA because the reviews were terrible, i'd rather not waste effort) , I guess I'll just see if they improve in their new works instead. <<less

Let me start off saying I read the whole thing and it was only because I have a weak spot for these transmigration stories. If I had to say anything, I'd say the story's non-sensical and repetitive. I understand seeking revenge for her parents but even after all that, she picks fights with others for NO REASON. Her reasoning is "The whole continent knows I'm an unreasonable dandy who picks fights." She seeks revenge for the smallest grievances and her go-to action is to exterminate the whole family, clan, or... more>> continent.

There's not much explanation for the cultivation either. She's so OP because of the God's Code World but there's no real explanation on why it chose her. All the fights she engages in are ended by her being saved by Yun Xiao or someone else because she's not strong enough yet she preaches about never needing protection. Her family's in danger most of the time because of all the enemies she has and it's pretty infuriating. If her mans didn't save her a majority of the time or she didn't rely on his strength, she'd get her ass beat so quick. The romance between the couple is cute though, ngl. It's very endearing how he shows everyone he only needs her and refuses to look at other women.

The FL is too OP and the MC is got no apparent value. The author keep highlighting how beautiful and handsome the FL & MC. One of the cringiest phrase was the FL was painted as " The most beautiful girl in the world", and I was like huh ?. Its definitely a cringy pharase. The plot keep repeating (new place-offend people- face slapping) all the time. Everyone who met FL either hating her or falling in love with her just in a second. Both lead was not very likeable.... more>> The cultivation stage is very confusing and the world background is poor. Cliche plot, the translation is just so-so. Just typical low rate novel. I think I almost got my brain fried by forcing myself reading this novel. This was one of the novel where I couldnt finish no matter how many times I tried to read it.

The one likeable character in this novel are General Yun luo and Godly doctor Tian yi. I only gave 2 star due to these 2 character. <<less

1. (FL) her soul not originly related with anyone in that new world.. so Why should she care, wasting time running around and get her self some enemies.

2. Also... those relatives and friends also such troublesome... FL have to run around saving one after another.

3. TYPICAL FL!!Where ever she goes.. always get into typical-faceslapping-plot.. Also.. she always let her enemy goes after some beating, which.. they ALWAYS come back with more faceslapping..

That was long, it was a bit tedious by end but thankfully I managed to push through. Don't get me wrong, the first hundred chapter got me hooked. I don't know when exactly it started to deteriorate. Truthfully, I don't remember much or there was no particular thing that stuck to me aside from the male lead's one track mind dedication.",)

P.S. I wanted to give it 3 stars but clicked the wrong button. No chances of changing that?

It is one of the tr*shiest story, I have ever read. It is actually so bad that I registered @ NU so that I can share my views and others can be spared from making same mistake like me by picking this story. It is not worthy to be a 4 star. I have given it a 1 star because we can't give zero star here.

The biggest turn off of this story is MC herself. She is way too shameless. Frankly, her character doesn't make much sense.

She was just a medical student in her previous life but here she is suddenly an expert in everything. She is godly doctor. She is traininga army but pray tell me who trained them?! Her grandfather had no knowledge about it. His uncle was recuperating in the time frame the army was raised. She herself had no knowledge but an army was raised which is full of superior beings. ?

The author has tried to portray her as some super cool lady but they have failed miserably.

Another turnoff for story is her attitude towards ML. Again, author has tried to portray that MC doesn't need to be dependent on ML but the way it is done is disgusting. I love the stories where MC and ML are on equal standings.

Here is an honest review of the story, with mostly the cons.

Honestly for the first few chapters I was VERY confused, because I felt like I've definitely read this novel before, but I haven't rated this novel or made a review. I don't remember having read the title before either. However, I really felt like I know the plot to this novel. The introduction / first few chapters is almost EXACTLY the same as Genius Doctor: Black Belly Miss (about her grandfather and uncle), except this talks about sorcerers and... more>> her being a medical student/doctor. Then regarding her space and herbs, I also feel that this idea came from another novel which at the moment I cannot recall. This novel feels like a lot of parts were taken from many different novels and mushed together...

The story is not bad, but FL is a bit too much. Although she just wants to decline men, she says something along the line that her man must be a virg*n and stay loyal to her forever. The latter I can understand, but to only accept a partner who has not had relations with another is asking a bit too much imo.

Also, I don't understand why in the most important moment the author would make the FL lie about their identities. She has never done that before or never needed to. Just a plain s*upid idea for the story to get longer. On another note, FL's grandfather gets really annoying as the story goes on. Even though at the start he was supposed to be a powerful general and whatnot, he's been pretty useless in the story. He does literally nothing except insert himself to say some pretty thick-skinned things.

The translation is not bad, but they ask 'what's up'? Which feels so off. It's better if they used "what's wrong?" instead.

On another note, the story is honestly not bad. However, I found FL to be a bit too much later on. <<less

I like the story because MC is a villain xDDD I really read this novel along with others so it does not bother me when the MC sends others to fly because in the other novels MC sends them to fly with words and the villains keep doing same, or MC is silent and let others humiliate her XD therefore when here MC sends her to fly I say give a little of your courage to the protagonist of my other novel XDDDDD
