This is mostly an average read. The plot is superficial and the rules of the supernatural within the story are not consistent. But the thing is I actually had fun reading this. I know that this is a supernatural fantasy so you know that you have to suspend your disbelief on a lot of things but on this one, you really should not take anything about this seriously. This novel is bonkers.

I just enjoyed how silly and goofy this is. I couldn't give this a higher rating though... more>> because as much as I laughed a couple of times while reading this, this is really on a shallow side. There's also nothing remarkable about this, just enough for quick entertainment.

If you want something more meticulous and in depth, plot-wise and character-wise, this is not for you. If you just want a fun, s*upid ride without using so much brain power, pick this up. <<less

If you're looking for something that is light hearted and no major conflict then this is for you! Just don't forget to leave half of your brain outside the door while reading this one. Lmao!

It's not too bad, but there's really nothing here. The ML and MC are both likeable characters but there's nothing special, no "wow" factor! MC is nice and there's a lot of funny moments with him while the ML is naive and dotes on his "wife" a lot.

The other side characters are just okay, nothing special... more>> too. BUT maybe unpopular opinion, I like Yang Ze's character, my heart hurts for him actually. I guess his character made more impact on me than any other character in this story. I hope he gets his happy ending too, although his story is open ended.

Overall, this is not something that I'd remember for a very long time or something that I would read again. But for those who's new to BL, maybe you can give this one a try. ? <<less

If you want a fluffy, fairly light novel that encourages not using your brain very much, this is actually a pretty good choice. My low opinion is entirely based on the MC. He's shallow, self-centered, and extraordinarily s*upid throughout the novel. The ML is much more relatable. While he's extremely shy and somewhat oblivious, it makes sense given his history of seclusion from society. A lot of his reactions are what I would expect of someone who stopped having any real social interactions when he was six and has suffered... more>> extensive ostracization from everyone around him. A large portion of the 'time gaps' in the novel seem to simply be two people sitting in a house doing nothing and not communicating with each other for days to weeks at a time, as though they were machines that were turned off until needed again, with no effort at individual or mutual advancement. There's also a kitten who apparently never matures at all, and endlessly remains extremely small and young without anyone noticing anything wrong with that or commenting on it. The cat doesn't act much like a cat. Fair warning, though... the first sixty-five chapters aren't badly translated. Not great, but not bad. After that, straight MTL would probably be no worse than the 'translated' chapters. They're horrible. <<less

I don't know why I'm so late in finishing this short story. It really took me days.

Genre wuxia, ghost fantasy is almost 80% of this story with 20% sweet romance. But really it doesn't feel heavy, not a light and refreshing story, but this story is also fun.

Like one of the comments you read earlier, our ML King of Hell Ye is absolutely the WORST ML I've ever read 😭😭 He's really very chaste 😭😭 Really, he's very sweet in his own way 😭😭😭

Our MC is also adorable, he has... more>> a sad past, but the story is explained in a simple way, so there is no annoying conflict. They got together quite late, but it was worth it! They got together without any sudden coercion, and spread shameless sugar.

They look OP but in a non-OP way 😂 their world is built in a magical way, and their world works in a ridiculous way. Really, a lot of money has no value in their world...

It's not a perfect piece, but it's one sweet candy for your daily mood. <<less

It's alright, but it's not very interesting and some parts are quite dull. I don't think I'll remember this novel later, though the premise is set up very well. The pace is very very slow, lots of repeating and there's occasional nonsense monologue that keeps repeating the obvious. The CP dynamic is ? Interesting at least. But it's not so much that I'm in love with them. Overall, it's an alright novel to spend your time. But I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a good story.

Such a very good read, as expected of the author! I really like her writing style! And romance + comedy + supernatural - like!

As per stated in the tags, this is a slow romance, if you are looking for it at the early chapters of the novel. Even if the romance is slow, but the interactions are there, and I like how the romance is building up unlike the other novels where MC and ML would meet and then bam, love at first sight without any explanation - just that... more>> the love is there. Not that I discriminate with this kind of stories, but I prefer slow romance more. Just my opionion.

Anyway, this novel is about Xi Jia's adventure in the supernatural world starting from when he was young due to his special physique that not only attracts ghosts, but a body of extreme Yin. Then, he met Ye Jingzhi, a Celestial Master

and one of the few reliable ones, lol (this is a running joke in the entire novel). Anyway, he is also XJ's fiance, though XJ is unaware and YJZ is also unaware... unaware that XJ is unaware that he is his fiance hahahahaha

the title is the alternative title of 'Xi Jia's Adventure - 'Ghosts Know What I (Xi Jia) Experienced'. I mtl-ed and it is really a sweet chapter when XJ said this. Though in mtl, it is 'Ghosts Know What I Have Been Through'. Still same sense.

or CPs? Hu Die and Fang Moting are one, I already guessed this and confirmed in one of the chapters when the Ghosts Know posted it. As for the other CP, if they really are one, which I think they are, since Yang Ze's disciple told Nan Yi that Yang Ze likes Nan Yi the most. Well, I bet it is only Nan Yi he likes hahahahahaha well, others might find Nan Yi as boring of how serious he is, but be honest. Nan Yi is second only to Ye Jingzhi! So, when I saw that Yang Ze and Nan Yi gathered, I then guessed that they would be an item. Since author wouldn't write the two's interaction for nothing. In fact, I actually doubted my guess, that was until Yang Ze's disciple said that he liked Nan Yi. I really guessed right! Nan Yi's ears also became red, so the feelings are mutual! I was really going to be heartbroken since Yang Ze died, but then I revived since Yang Ze became a ghost! The ship sailed! Although Yang Ze's first appearance as a ghost was to deny what his disciple said lol who would believe you!

So good.

Both MC and ML have great personalities. The power couple.

MC is a smart and strong person. He compliments ML. Pretty self dependent.

ML is a cinnamon roll. So awkwardly cute. Fully devoted to MC. Whatever MC says is right. Pure personality.

Chemistry between the couple is really good.

Comedy : 10/5

All the side characters are so funny.

The novel is not scary at all.

I am really waiting for its full translation. MTL doesn't give the feel.

The setting and feel resembles Cultivation Chat Group, except with BL romance. There's the same sort of moe gap cutesiness and humor with supposedly reverent and powerful figures.

It could be due to the way the translation is done, I find the novel very tedious and hard to read. I really commend the translator for trying to keep the translation as close as possible to the original language, but it makes the translation not flowing smoothly. English language is not as expressive as Chinese language, and it's causing the translation to be very hard to read. It makes the reading experience to be very unpleasant, at least to me.

The story is not very original. It's the same as... more>> other novel. The difference is the MC, Xi Jia, actually very powerful while the ML, Ye Jingzhi, is also powerful but more obedient and less dominant. It makes the pairing interesting and I think it's the biggest attraction for this novel. Other than that, the ghosts not that memorable, except for the Emperor one. The other daoists also serve as the funny people rather than powerful figure.

In overall, it's not too bad. Though I have to say that the translation makes me feel dizzy most of the times. The relationship between MC and ML very good and fun, though it feels one-sided on the ML part. <<less

I love this novel very much and since it was also translated by the same author who wrote Earth Is Online, I knew it was a gem and was of course not disappointed. However, from chapter 70 onwards, for some reason the other translator who picked it up has obviously used straight direct translations which was absolute garbage gibberish to read. I greatly admired the previous translators translations and the effort to bridge the gaps when translating Chinese to English. I do not know whether it’s because chapter 70 onwards,... more>> the previous translator made their translations private under their membership but I would be more than happy to pay if that’s the case. <<less

Very cute and funny. I especially love how innocent our ML Ye Jingzhi is throughout the novel. Brings a different experience to the readers because usually when I read novels, the 'innocent' one will mostly be the MC.

One of the sweetest ML I ever read! There was alot of dog food and funny dialogue. One of the most entertaining read for me. But the only thing is quarter way the the 1 st translation stops and later part becomes mtl. Which is very tragic... but overall the story really really good for me. As said, there is alot of sweet and touching moments. There’s also alot of funny moments, but there’s also alot of touching and tragic moments (as expected because there’s alot of malicious ghosts.)... more>> I really wanted to give 5 stars. Hopefully there’s a new translation for the later parts. Good read for something light hearted and not too heavy. Thank you <<less

Has very good potential to be a horror novel, but it turns out to be a modern xuanxue comedy novel so don't get your hopes up on horror. While reading it, I was annoyed many times because MC and ML often missed hints, and ML, who has many years of experience in the Xuanxue world, when facing cases when being with MC seemed to be s*upid didn't match the initial impression of his appearance. Truly Wonderful and Fun Novel Beyond expectation!

The summary was slightly being sarcastic for comedic purpose. The Celestial Masters in this novel all truly a Celestial Masters. No Fake whatsoever. But they're bunch of funny likable (mostly old) people!

ML is a Badass Celestial Master, has a Reputation of being a King of Hell, and yet also has a Reputation of being the one with the Best Moral figure. A Honest and Simple person.

ML is the Sweetest and most Pure Gong ML I have ever know so far. Because he lack of 'some' knowledge. But truly a Lovely Doting Devoted Lover! ♡♡♡♡♡

MC himself also a Badass in other Supernatural part. But he and ML are no OP!

Anyway no Heavy stuff going on so far. The Comedy, Drama, and Emotional moments are well placed and well played.

The romance is slow, but not dragged, and played in Cute and Endearing way! ᰔ

When MC and ML finally get together, they both are so Shy. When they want to do and doing Intimate stuff, their Awkwardness makes me smile. Their first time of many things doing together was Truly Endearing and Cute!!! All the Blushing and Wants truly Sweet!

This Novel was Truly Enjoyable, Lovable, and Worth my Time!

I really hope someone continue the translation!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I currently haven't finish this, but I'd like to say that this novel is worth the read. It might seem dull at some, but it does have interesting side plots and side characters.

I'll read until the end of the translation later but I don't think I want to mtl the remaining chapters. This might only lower my evaluation on this novel, and since I am already satisfied as of now, I'll come back when I think about this again.

On another note, what I like most about this story is actually... more>> the MC and the ML. The shou isn't overly dense and the gong isn't overly embarrassing. I like that, despite the slow burn tag, only 40 chapters in and we already have MC realizing his own feelings for ML. The thing that absolutely makes me crazy about slow burn tags is where it takes a long time for one or two of the protag to realize their existing feelings. I can wait for a long time as long as both of the protagonists are aware and acknowledge their own feelings.

ML, I just want to add, is an absolute cinnamon roll. Yes both MC and ML are pitiful and have sad pasts but ML is just so obedient and innocent that it hurts.

The plot and the premise might sound cliche but I think what made the story progress and interesting are the little stories and instances that both leads are going through, and the absolutely funny side characters with varied personalities.

Overall, I'd rate this as 9/10 (4.5/5) -note that this is from someone who loves reading romance and is more favorable towards the characters of the story. (^^) <<less

It's December and there's no updates yet!!!😩😩😩 I am patient but my love for this story makes me a bit antsy 🥺

From what I told my friend when I recommended this was that this story is more about the experiences that the ghosts and the main characters went through so there isn't a lot of scare nor gore elements.

I had to hold back on gushing about Baby Mirror though and it was HARD because I love him so much!!! Yes, the MC and the other pitiful characters needed hugs too... more>> much but Xiao Mirror is one of the very few MLs that made me want to love and spoil to the skies and beyond😭 He is the bestest boi and no one can tell me otherwiseᕕ (˵•̀෴•́˵) ᕗ

However, there were a few things that irritated me but happy after all since that aspect wasn't in depth. Maybe it's because I've read a good amount of Showbiz tagged novels but the gossip tabloids were really intrusive and it's very true that unless you have greater power and connections, you can't stop them posting; especially if the said posters are from the very top positions within that community. 😪

I accidentally clicked in 2.. Yes it's cliche, yes the plot is over used who cares in a monotonous world where it's all lockdown here lockdown there.. Death toll rising.. (Don't ger me wrong im concerned) but everyone needs a feel good and fluff in there life ans this one gives it.. Thanks translator sama for continuing to translate this
