∥[Notification] Minjun’s first believer is praying.

After eight years in the other world, what greeted S-class hunter Minjun was the side effects of dimensional travel and an incomprehensible notification. However, he only pays attention to it for a moment before deciding to hide his identity and live a lazy retirement life.

“Have you ever heard anyone say that you look like hunter Minjun, who went missing eight years ago?”

“But I don’t look like him.”

Yoon Soohyuk, an S-class hunter who admires him, keeps approaching him.

And then,

∥Name: No. 749 Bond Of Fate B

∥Description: When a pair of rings is worn by two people, they have a chance to permanently increase their stats by 10%.

∥How to use: The owners of the item must physically bond with each other once every 9 days for a total of 9 times.

∥For every 9 days that passes without physical bonding, the item owner’s overall stats are permanently reduced by 10% from the point of wearing.

They become entangled in a bonded item that cannot be disengaged…

“Just close our eyes and do it.”

“… Why are you so fearless? Do you know what that means?”

Another one of my fav. Novel & also couple. The premise is good, the tropes from this genre is there but its done good. Minjun (MC) might seems like so robotic, lack of emotions/personality, I disagree with that, his personality is good & cute to me, the way he voice out what he thinks, the way he loves eating... more>>
Spoiler

(there is a time he got sad when he thought he can't use the guild cafeteria anymore)

[collapse]
, the sometimes cluelessness (which you can understand since he's a hunter for decades or more so that's what he knows more & since he just came back from earth & he is a 1st gen. Hunter, he doesn't know about the present changes), his straight forwardness that sometimes shock other people, he's smart even though sometimes he can be dumb (especially his information for his cover up identity), I love his powers & skills too (love the galaxy/universe theme of it)

Soohyuk (ML) is a greenflag, I thought he will be like crazy & yandere but he's not (except towards the Government). He knows his boundaries, he have morals (surprising since he's an S Class Esper, some trope in genre like this they have problems with that), he really just want Minjun skills and to protect him. I like his relationship with his guild members and other S class Espers (they're not at each others throat), of course he's smart & strong.

Love the world building, the differences in earth & the planet where Minjun came back from, the skills & item explanation, the guilds, the characters, the relationship progress of the MC & ML
Spoiler

(though I kinda dislike the way it leads up to it, bound by an item from a dungeon and to get the benefits you must perform physical contact or else you'll get the penalty, its a bit force to just establish the connection of the two, I think Soohyuk liking Minjun buff skills is enough to form that connection)

[collapse]
thankfully, it got saved and their relationship is better and it flows more naturally outside of that task from the item. <<less

God, I love this sm. The story is similar to The Hunter's Gonna Lay Low, but both the MC and ML are less one-sidedly guarded against each other? They just go on their own pace and they have mutual trust and mutual respect too. None of those rivalry-hostile sh*t that's the norm these days.

ML is crushing hard on MC but when MC says no, he backs off obediently. He's a rare green flag in a hardcore KR BL Novel I've read in a while. He's also very 3D too-- he... more>> has likes, dislikes, drives his employees to overwork lovingly much to his employees' vocal ire (although to be fair, he overworks along with them). He's always thirsty for the MC although at first he was really guilty due to the age difference (although the MC is older than him, not that he knows). He definitely feels real for me lol, like I could imagine meeting a guy like him irl

MC is also very likeable. He's blunt af to the point of making ML speechless
Spoiler

As in he literally asked the ML if the size of his c*ck is proportional to his s*xual drive in the morning after they went at it for many rounds last night. ML laughed for a good while and so did I

[collapse]

The supporting characters are nice too, full of personality. The plot is also something to look forward to since there's still some mysteries unsolved. Anyways, the s*x is nice (after the first one, since MC's first time had hurt which is realistic) and very consensual.

It's very refreshing, 10/10 would reread again in later days. <<less

I’m really liking how it’s going so far! I think one cliche of KR bl Hunter novels is that the mls are always yandere and a little unhinged. I’m not saying that this ML isn’t (it’s a little too early for that) but I like how he respects the mc’s boundaries and is sincere in his intentions to recruit the MC into his guild. He’s the kind of guy who does whatever he wants, but not when it hurts others, which is more than what I can say about some... more>> other mls out there. I’m really liking the progression of the story, as well as the personality of the MC so far! Fighting! <<less

....I honestly didn't expect this from the genre. (aka. yaoi hunterverse).

ML is actually NOT a madman, and is actually Reasonable??!?!?!

.. And the S-classes are not at each others throat?!?!?!

.... but to be a little more specific:

-MC is a realistically thinking hunter, who's hiding that he is actually an experienced veteran. And this shows in the story as well, the author keeps his independent hidden-powerhouse image up relatively well.

-ML is kind of a simp for him, and lets him decide his things for himself And is a green flag. Yes, ... more>>
Spoiler

he does have a times when he snaps, but it's mostly towards the tr*sh government managment, and related stuff.

[collapse]

Spoiler

(It's actually funny how they come together to tr*sh talk the National Security Agency :p)

[collapse]

-There was always some action and stuff that kept me reading and kept the reader entertained, so I'm basically satisfied. Also, they're not the most complexly layered characters I've read about, but are on the upper levels.

The only thing that'd make me place this immediately on my masterpiece list is a little more mystery and conspiracies, but this doesn't mean that the novel does need it. It's a well-written stuff with good pacing and understandable explanations so far.

(So basically, the mindbreaking conspiracies with action and romance are just my personal preference, don't take it so seriously c:)

Ps - I may update when I finish the MTL, but it's been like 150 chs so far, so....

Ps-... if this does turn into a manhwa, it'd be a hit <<less

It's all the tropes done... meh. Didn't get a good sense of personality from MC or ML. I don't know what I expected, but could never get over how dumb the premise was.

MC wants to keep his identity secret so he... has the same appearance, name, lives in the same region, same powers, same job etc etc. Like dude you're obviously the same person, the ML is not a genius for identifying that. And the beautiful boy trope... idk I get it you're all models in the hot model hunter... more>> agency. Maybe it gets better but I just couldn't... <<less

It's and ok story I felt like the MC has a lack of emotion and I hate how the author makes him out to be so clueless I feel for ML. That, bring up another point I felt like the ML has way more personality to him than the MC and he brings the overall interest. I think the only reason why I kept on reading tbh was because I hate leaving things unfinished and I wanted to see ppls reaction to finding out his identity. It's not so bad... more>> you should definitely give it a try but it's just not everyone's cup a tea. ESPECIALLY if your here bcs you read "the hunters gonna lay low" and this was recommended lol, it's not the same relationship wise ig.

I also didn't like that they were basically forced to sleep with each other since the beginning because of the bond. ALSO what was the point on making him so young lol they could have just kept it at the fact that his appearance change. <<less

Kinda disappointing tbh. The premise is interesting sure, but 32 chapters in and the MC feels like a cardboard cutout. His moods only ever seem to range from mild annoyance (when thinking about how his life is kinda in danger) to calm. The ML starts simping for him at first sight, which would be fine if it resulted in some sort of emotional or dramatic tension but like with most of everything else in this novel it falls flat because it's again treated as with just mild annoyance by the... more>> MC.

Even though the MC is
Spoiler

severely weakened and in danger of dying to a curse

[collapse]
he doesn't struggle against anything at all.

Although humour is often a matter of personal preference I also feel like the author didn't try for it all, which in combination with the aforementioned lacking characterisation and tension made 32 chapters hard to slog through.

Maybe it gets better later on but to have the first 32 chapters be this boring with such an interesting premise doesn't give me much hope. <<less

Main story is completed at 235 chapters. The comments I saw on ridi said there might be a part 2 with 60 chapters (but I don't know if it was a joke).

Great novel. Very packed with plot and the romance is quite sweet. A lot of character development with MC, though I didn't really get too much from ML.

Translations so far are also great--flowed very well, easy to read, and edited/proofread. (I MTL'd from official site after c53 cause I was impatient)

Both ML and MC are evenly matched. Neither... more>> one of them are damsels in distress. One is self-sacrificing, the other is extremely responsible. And ML is protective but extremely respectful of MC. Pretty rare for the genre.

Although its a dungeon-diving novel, not much about the dungeons are explained. A lot of the plot happens outside of the dungeons. There are several concurrent plot points happening at once that the main characters have to deal and solve, but there's a lot of sweetness between the leads and between the extended cast to make the story fun and engaging. Some of the plot points ("mysteries") do get resolved pretty early so I don't want to give too much details away. But luckily how/when they get together isn't too dragged out.

Only gripe is that there was waaayy too many things going on with the ending. I won't say it's rushed, it's just really really fast. I'm hoping that part 2 (if it exists) will even it out.

Overall, I recommend the read. It's a fun adventure with great cast of characters. <<less

Eagerly waiting for more chapters, please!

I like Minjun's character. Cool, apathetic, and yet kind and good. Not a little white faced white lotus fragile MC 😑👌

My overall opinion is that this isn't a bad read.

If you enjoy BL Hunter verse novels and don't want to put a lot of thought into what you're reading, this is great. It's an easygoing novel in the sense that it follows the genre tropes and cliches diligently, and the straightforward writing doesn't leave you guessing about much for very long. The characters are also likable, and the plot points are interesting enough to keep me going.

The quality of the translation is good, and very easy to read. That said,... more>> the author's writing often falls flat due to the very straightforward writing style. The characters are also very much presented as is with everything about their stories often spelled out right away, especially our MC who has his entire past and situation info dumped within 3 chapters. I don't see this as ever being a story I get emotionally invested in like some of the others I read with how straightforward it is, but it's by no means bad. <<less

The start was pretty good but the ending felt kinda rushed towards the end. The pacing was good when they were trying to accomplish the requirements of the quest but the plot kind of fell off towards the end that some scenes were described in 2-3 paragraphs.

Spoiler

There was also a third catastrophe arc, which from the name itself sounds like a big thing but was just resolved in more or less 5 chapters.

[collapse]

Still worth the read tho.

I like that the ML actually had issues with the age difference at first. While he can be a bit manipulative and overprotective, he respects MC's boundaries and doesn't force himself to him. The smut scenes were really good. I found it funny that their s*x scenes during the s*x quest were hotter and more descriptive than when they got together. <<less
