in the first arc, the female lead (aka cannon fodder) was a nurse and praised for her competence while the ml's wife was painted as the typical wife from the contryside. At first the author sticked to this description, made the ML teach his wife to write and read and praised her that she will be able to finish the primary school program. HOWEVER just a few months later, because the author wanted her to forcibly shine compared to the female lead, they made her a DOCTOR in formation (you heard right a DOCTOR). Not only that, there was an actual doctor who fainted in the hallway and whose situation was deemed dangerous and all the nurses and medical team around let someone without any concrete medical formation to interfere with the patient's health. The author then told us that her father always asked her to pick herbs from the mountains, hence she has medical knowledge... (excuse me, wut?).

I love this novel so much. It's hilarious while satisfying at the same time. I find the arcs to be a good length as the author ends them when the mission is over regardless if it's only a 4 chapter arc or a 20 chapter arc.

I highly recommend reading this if you like quick wear novels where the male!MC focuses solely on completing the wisher's desire. (You don't even know the MC's name. He assumes the name of the body he assumes in every arc and changes his personality accordingly.... more>> You can feel that he likes tricking and bullying/ teasing others though haha.)

There isn't romance in every arc. It depends on what body he is in. Sometimes he is a husband whose mission is to give his wife a good life, other times he is a father hellbent on reforming his useless son into a proper husband. It's all straight pairings for MC though.

I didn't like reading the first arc but another review said that it gets better at the second, so I skipped the first one.

It really does get better.

Even though MC is supposed to be whitewashing villains, he himself is a very competent scam artist. He plots his paybacks well in advance and uses the misunderstandings other people have about him to his advantage. It's a very fun read, and I hope that author plays up the "scam artist" aspect of MC's character even more as the story goes on.

There is a very good reason people say to skip the first story. The first story is a 2 star story if you're being generous. It isn't entirely consistent, it's too long for what it is, and it's very illogical. To my surprise, none of the following story had this issue, they averaged 4 stars with some fantastic 5 star ones too. I have no idea what the author was thinking when he made that first story the introduction to this novel, it's best to skip it and go back... more>> to it later if you're curious. There isn't an overarching plot so they don't need to be read in order.

The second story starts at the end of Chapter 20.2 with the words:

[Ding! Task completed. Please host choose 1. Vacation 2. Continue the mission.]

Okay, so.. Where do I begin?

The identity of the transmigrator is Lin Shiheng, he seems like a seasoned transmigrator as he solves one by one the trouble of the ori!MC of the story/world he went into. He handled many of the obstacles neatly and didn't break character its just..

The other characters are so 2D, the luck of things happening too are beyond what could be achieved by 'planning'. Its basically a story waiting for an epilogue once the transmigrator messed up a bit of the story.

It is also a shame... more>> that there is no dip into the backstory of Lin Shiheng, besides the bit vague ending. Its quite enjoyable to read, I rate it 8/10. <<less

At first I thought that this novel was decent enough, but I quickly changed my mind. Please read at least up to the second arc before rating it because the author improves really quickly! The beginning of the first arc was meh, but it gets better towards the end. The second arc onwards are all really, really good! During the second and fourth arc (if I'm remembering correctly), I actually thought that the novel would turn into a BL heheh.. Still good tho :3

This novel is amazing, the male lead is so nice to his wife and the interaction between them warms my heart. Hopefully this novel will be carried on until it is fully translated.

The plot for the arcs is well-planned and MC is a clever man. The reason why I don't give this a 5-star rating is because MC is so smart that he can scheme his way through each world without much challenge - everything just falls into place. In addition, it was never explained why MC has this brilliance. Nothing is known about him, at least from the chapters I've read so far. He's just a skilled and smart transmigrator.

You can't expect much from the romance too. He's a great husband... more>> and father, but the focus of the story is not on the romance, and he does not retain the sentiment with his family once his journey in a world is over.

The MC is very clever and sweet. He's calm and even funny sometimes, as for his attitude towards the target, he's very respectful and gentle, but sometimes I feel his emotions for the capture targets are neutral, sometimes when reading his thoughts I feel no love and hate, just pure respect and care for the target of the mission. Of course, this could also be just my delusions.

Idk, if it's just me, but I see a lot of people saying how could the MC possibly sleep and say 'I love you' with their targets without any problem. I mean, isn't it just the same as how FL's of QT or system novels sleep with several men for their mission? I read several novels where FL's scheme and seduce the ML's deliberately and play innocent to capture their target's and say they love their capture targets to please them and get the benefits. I don't want to make people think much, but I'm not even sure if their love is genuine cause these creepy females are on the same level of several manipulative and possessive ML's. Sometimes, they're even worse cause they use a lot of scheme and pull out the emotional torture card. Anyways, they just have to do it, a mission is a mission.

You will not regret it, it is the best reading with a male protagonist. I was never encouraged to read the male version. And I am very happy that I made this decision. Very tired of the same stories with female protagonists since almost most of them I saw. I leave satisfied with this divine reading.

I wanted to give this a try because the synopsis sounded interesting and I haven't come across this type of story before, it was always in female protagonist's POV.

The grammar was okay, but sometimes I get distracted with some mistakes. It was enough to understand the story though. A big thank you to the translator/s for giving the effort.

As for the story itself, it felt a bit bland and not as exciting as it's given premise. I decided to drop reading this though. This type of story is far from... more>> being realistic, I know that, but the some character's logic were not to my taste. I even encountered Ch13.3,

How can a military hospital be like that? How can you operate properly and with enough credentials to even be considered as one?! And it happened just to give the female lead a time to shine... *facepalm*

At this point, everything was too cringey for me to continue reading. I normally turn my brain off when I read some novels and just enjoy them for the sake of reading... But if those things don't bother you at all, you can give this a go, maybe it'll surprise you and it might be to your taste. <<less

Gotta say at first I just thought this was a worse version of the Boss Face Slapping Specialist. Multiple of these stories have FL that talks like less than 5 sentences and has practically no seen personality because this story is has way to much focus on people acting 'filial' and gentle all the time. It reads like a dull josei.

But after awhile the story started picking up and there were some really great stories. The entertainment circle one was especially the funniest thing I've read in a while.

The MC is crafty and cunning as hell, I actually grinned so widely when I realized what he was planning and saw his scheme working so beautifully. His payback is so subtle that it doesn't look like a scheme at all. I want to give a standing ovation when the 'villains' were finally caught in his trap. Bravo.

The side characters are a bit dull and one-dimension, they served more like the MC's foil to make him shine brighter, but that's usually the case in QT novels so if you're bothered... more>> by that, this novel might not be for you.

Other than that, I liked that he actually cares about the FL in each worlds and pampers them as fitting as what his role in that world could do. I liked every arc, they were done so masterfully with a good balance of utter hilarity and brilliant, brilliant scheming.

My final rating is 4.5 stars because this novel could be breaking the wall of logic at times *wince* <<less

oh this one per chapter like 3-5cgapter of common novel (1000--2000 word/chapter so don't be afraid of low chapter will bad.

oh and from this thing I feel like if I marry china girl and I am not the richest man on earth, my mother-in-law or grandmother-in-law will disdain me every second. <<less

Totally recommend this book.

MC is totally refreshing and the Arcs have good stories, and because of this I can't choose a favorite Arc because I loved them all.

Some Arcs are totally hilarious and really give you a good laugh.I recommend it to people who like quick transmigration novels. There is not much of system role in this book and all is MC's doing. He has a teasing but smart character and it shows in Arcs.

Overall I totally enjoyed the time when I read this. It was a really enjoyable read.

I like that not every arc is about romance and for the MC to get together with a love interest. Another reviewer mentioned that it's just about a powerful ML pampering a previously discarded FL; I don't think they read many arcs because that's definitely not the case. The MC is tasked with fixing the last regrets of the original owners, so there may be romance on the way but romance is not always the end goal which I found interesting. MC doesn't have much personality though because there's no... more>> system and he basically takes on the role and perspectives of the original owner without the reader really knowing what he actually thinks or feels. I think I would have enjoyed seeing that at certain points. <<less

I'm a bit a sad that this novel has ended. I didn't have enough of it. But the ending was quite suitable with the character settings. So I am also satisfied.

It's a quick transmigration novel with a male MC. There's plenty of drama, comedy and face slapping with romantic elements here and there.

But bear in mind, despite the romance tag in novelupdates, there is no love internet for our main character.

I LOVED the main character, Lin Shiheng. He was totally giving daddy vibes. He was op, sure. But the way... more>> the author gave him the main lead halo didn't become boring but made you look forward to his next adventure instead. He is the king of black belly. He made me want to sing,

Mama, I am in love with a criminal 🎶🎶🎶

Or should I say the devil?😩😩😩🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻

The novel is just like the title states. It is how the scums get retribution and LS takes care of the victims who truly deserved to live a good life instead of those lowlives. There were so many face slapping moments that it made the plot entertaining throughout. And after every arc finished, it left me satisfied.

Honestly, it's been awhile that I read a Chinese web novel with a MMC. So I was a bit skeptical. Surprisingly, except a bit patriotism in two arcs, there wasn't any type of chauvinism or misogyny in this novel. The main character even seemed a feminist in his own right. There weren't any type of infidelity or lecherous harem tendencies in LS. Instead, he punished those scums.

That's why, I like this character so much. He may not have a female lead in the novel but he is my book boyfriend. It is evident from the type of people he replaced in his transmigrations throughout all the arcs,

●Cheating s*um (Abondoned Military Wife)

●The petty mu*derer (The Devil of the Entertainment Circle) [This one made my belly ache with laughter🤣🤣🤣]

●Potential rapist and s*umbag (Ruffian)

●Didn't harm anyone but a coward (The Princess's Young Third Scholar)

●A good for nothing who only knows to cry (My Heavenly Emperor Father) [My eyes were sweating during this arc😭😭😭]

●Crazy psycho (The Method Actor) [And this was pure comedy, like, bro, seriously?!😆😆😆😆]

●s*upid and blind old man (Angry and Rebellious Father)

●A tragic traitor (How to Get Rid of the Republic Era Scum)

●The cold-blooded grandfather (The Villain's Father)

●The pitiful twisted villain (The Great Demon in the Holographic Game)

●The cold workaholic (The Untouchable Flower in the Criminal Investigation Unit)

●The naive billionaire (Good Food)

●The workaholic scientist (The Research Fanatic Who Lost His Child)

●Lascivious Emperor (Rebirth of the Black Lotus)

●The greedy older brother (The Scummy Brother)

●Sickly young master Lin (Holy Monk)

●The lowlife scholar (Ancient Farmer's Son)

●The timid and sensitive cat (Apocalypse- Zombie Era)

The variety of genres is evident from the names of the arcs. There were the 70s military, showbiz, rags to riches, historical, xianxia, republic era, modern CEO, gaming sports, mystery, paranormal, food, family bonding, found family, jianghu, conspiracy, zombie apocalypse and many more.

The translator was also great. It was so easy to understand. There were even explanations for idioms and sayings that we may not be familiar with. She also properly titled all the arcs (abovementioned). And I wholeheartedly agree with all her comments about the characters.

I couldn't eat or sleep properly and had to finish reading this first. Yeah, it was that addicting. It is that type of novel where I would've given it more than 5 🌟, only if I could. Definitely worth it! <<less

This novel is great 10/10. I like that every arc is different not the same s*um husband becoming a good man in other other novels. In other arcs hes the MC or canon fodder or villain. Other novels always make the MC become a canon fodder so its pretty great
