So far so good, read till chapter 100.1 and still on reading.

I honestly can't comprehend anything, ANYTHING below 4 stars (even that seems... well.. lacking?)

Here are some really obvious things about why u should read the novel:

*Amazing story building

*unpredictable story line (the GOOD KIND)

*Amazing twists (the ones that make u feel just right)

*funny misunderstandings... not the annoying kind

*Vivid and "alive" characters

*Kim soleum (roe deer) our one and only main character... seriously one of the best MCs of all time (my dudes personality is JUST so My taste) My man is UNIQUE and also handsome, haha

*Braun (a friendly? And sus Bunny shaped Doll, sometimes my dude gives me creeps but that makes HIM all the more likable... and he's also our MC's DEAR FRIEND)

*Lee jaheon (squad leader) a.k.a lizzard man (well only our MC Sees him as such. to others he is a really handsome and reliable superior ofc he is to our MC as well)

*Baek saheon a.k.a viper (the times where he and MC meet are seriously one of the best parts in the whole story (debatable). My dude has a... peculiar personality to say the least.......... uhm, anyways I like how he thinks the MC is a crazy psycho and how the MC thinks of him as a crazy basta*d. they don't like each other (as in: hate) but they surely vibe)

Eun haje (she is a such vibe haha sadly she is not there much but I believe she will have a big influence in the story later on..'just a speculation')

I love how none of the stories are scary for the reader. Like, yeah it would be scary to be in a classic mu*der cabin, but not scary to read about, you know? I love the horror esthetic, but I don't really like to be scared, you know? Like, as a comparason, Mother of Insects is actually scary for the reader. I read the first 20 chapters awhile ago and I'm kind of scared to continue it lol.

I really enjoy the characters. The main character is actually a really nice... more>> normal guy. I also like most of the side characters; with Bunny-Doll, Lizard, and Viper being my favorites. They have good synergy with the main character and their interations add quite a bit to the story.

  • I love it whenever we see Viper cuz the main character absolutely terrorizes that man (for good reason of cource, Viper 100% deserves it).
  • I love Bunny-Doll cuz hes such a good Yandere BFF. The MC handles that crazy creature masterfully so nothing anoying has happend so far (which is pretty common with Yanderes).
  • Lizard, of cource, is so far a saint. Best boss you could have. Who woudn't want a kick ass lizzard man to come to your rescue by karate-choping the monsters.
The story itself is a fun action, with us cheering on the main character to either A) Solve this issue as fast as possible before he faints, or B) Make sure someone doesn't die right in front of him, tramatizing him for life.

The games here are similar to the games from The Earth Is Online but with glitches and cheets avaible for the MC like Omnicient Readers View Point <<less

Fantastic novel with fast pacing and good world building. Each ghost story presents a fun adventure while the larger scope of the universe keeps on growing with every incident. I'm not a fan of ghost story novels but this was a great read.

This novel is pretty well written and I was originally attracted due to the cover and high ratings. This exceeded my expectations and actually had horror/thriller elements with psychological aspects. The world building is thorough, and the arcs are creative. The MC is pretty interesting too because while he's extremely frightened by his surroundings, somehow with his skills and smarts, he gets out of all kinds of crazy situations. He's a coward but he definitely has a screw loose somewhere in his head when he's trying to keep his morality... more>> composure in fatal situations. <<less

I'm not good with reviews, but I need to review this BECAUSE I LOVED IT. I love Braun so much. And the protagonist is such a good person. Even though he is a coward, he always thinks about others and how to get out of that situation

It has terrifying moments, but also funny and distressing (or is that I'm a crybaby)

The only thing I didn't like so much was that I felt that human relationships with the protagonist hardly deepen. As a D team, which is very close, but... more>> I saw them interacting too rarely to form a bond. It was only mentioned that he talked a lot with his team and that's it and it was like:/ Although in the end that works out and they show more interactions, but I still resent 😔

The friendship he has with Braun is very nice (I'm ignoring the amount of toxicity) and I love his dynamic... I also like Braun 🤭 <<less

This is a really good story. No romance at all, which was also honestly a benefit in its own way, even though I am not against it. Having partially read the author’s other work, debut or die, I can definitely say I found this one more interesting. The different little worlds are interesting, the character dynamics are too. I love lizard guy, conflicting thoughts on Braun. It’s still ongoing apparently, so I’m hoping I manage to get back into it when the time is right,

Probably the best or at least one of the best novel's I think I've ever read on this site. At leasta 4.8 or 4.9 out of 5

This novel takes a lot of inspiration from SCP, as in the premise is very similar of "ghost stories" (which are basically SCPs but as gates). However, it diverges significantly insofar that the world is similar, but almost everything else, on how the the ghost stories are managed by a company, and that the ghost stories are more like gates are different.

Worldbuilding: Ghost stories... more>> are as it says, basically a SCP like gate where you enter a story and need to clear it. Punishment for failure is pretty intuitive.

Power and power scaling: I think this novel does it excellently, the MC is in no way overpowered with the gear that he is given, and the entire reason he is powerful is also a flaw

The MC's power is basically just being a transmigrater, but this relies on his memory, so he uses a memory item which fails at one point.

Dialogue: Pretty readable and realistic. A lot of novels have terrible dialogue but this isn't one

Love: None

Misc stuff: The people in the story act like people and don't act like idiots. I like this a lot. The MC is also powerful but isn't overpowered and has clear flaws.

Overall this is probably the best novel I've ever read on this site. I has some of the best writing I've seen with a very interesting premise. <<less

Amazing descriptions and hair rising moments every arc!

Honestly im usually pretty resistant to horror and this type of stuff but the way this author uses the web novel format to induce fear really made me feel like I was right there with our MC...

Our MC is the shining star obviously, his interactions with side characters didn't feel forced and their motivations were excellently mixed in conversations.

The story starts off a bit rushed but I feel for this novel it works! really well too!! when longer arcs start the pace does... more>> slow down and it meshes smoothly. Honestly this novel has it all, I love the characters, their interactions and the stories.

Honestly my only complaint is I wish we get more info on our MC... hes so #mysterious

Like a lot of other people I started this because I am a fan of the author (and also because of the fanart of braun and other scenes from the novel were too amazing I had to start it). I have never read a horror novel besides maybe two horror/comedy manhwa, and have watched 2 horror movies in my 20+ years of life, in summary I dislike horror and it's not something I like to touch. However, this novel for someone who dislikes horror is probably one of the best... more>> novels and one of my favorites I have read yet. It is so beyond enjoyable every chapter (and I actually don't find it too scary more anxiety inducing and thrilling, with a side of humor). There is so much depth to the world and each ghost story that our MC finds himself in 90% of the time you end up shocked by how creatively the MC makes his way through it all and also shocked at how the author even came up with all of this.

If you enjoy trying to solve puzzles along side an MC, diverse and complex (and attractive) characters, MCs with little side kicks and a dash of "historians will say they were just besties", a bit of gore, mystery, etc then read this!!! On my knees begging actually because I need a manhwa and english print of this stat or I'll perish.

Every chapter manages to leave you on the edge of you seat not necessarily because things are scary but more in anticipation for what the main character will do next and how he will handle the fear he faces and tough situations that get thrown at him by the ghosts and monsters or by his own bosses and coworkers. The author so masterfully maps out everything, that something will be revealed to have been important and you will find it chapters back staring at you in the face and you didn't even know.

Doesn't matter if you like horror or not this authors writing and characters is so masterful it draws you in regardless. The main character is also super intelligent and interesting so I never found myself frustrated by his choices which I often find myself doing in other stories.

my first review and I kind of just spat words out so I hope this is helpful for someone looking to read this :)

10/10 across the board!

The novel is paced quite nicely with characters having distinct personalities and ways of speaking. Each of them are driven by their own goals and mindset which makes it interesting to see how they clash together and survive in such outlandish settings. The story setting is quite original with a comedic undertone that I enjoy a lot, which is probably what drawn me into this book despite being so afraid of horror. The MC is deathly afraid of anything horror related yet somehow always finds a way to escape the... more>> situation, it is entertaining to see him think up a plan. I've read the author's previous book Debut or Die which is also another masterpiece itself, I recommended it a lot! Overall it's a great read for a pass time, I look forward to the rest of the story. <<less

Enjoyable story, I guess?

It is decent but the ratings make it seem some sort of masterpiece. Truthfully there are quite a lot of problems but the glaring one is - lack of fear. The settings and the environment tries its best to make it seem like a horror, but soon you will realize that no one, and I mean literally no one ever dies who is even slightly interesting side character. There are deaths here and there but all of them were cruel or evil people. And that number too... more>> is hardly 3 or 4.

The plot also gets convoluted in the later half. And the comments below the chapters were... something. All that shipping between the protagonist and the male side characters did make me a bit sick and my ptsd from ORV rang again.

Anyway, give it a try ig but don't go in with super high expectations like me.

This novel deserves 3.7-3.8 stars imo. <<less

First review, haishd. Caught my attention because of all of the fanart and the fact that it was written by the author of DoD, love that novel, and even though this novel was definitely a genre change- I fell in love with this one too!

At first, it feels like MC's fear is downplayed and used as a gag, but as you read through the novel, we can see as the novel progresses that this isn't the case.

The reason he isn't 'fall down on his knees and cry' scared is because... more>> a multitude of reasons, but I'll sum it up to him being a 'use my damn knees to run and cry inside/later' character. He's scared, a lot, but the main point is that he understands the monsters like no other and has background information about the scenarios from his lengthy history of reading the site like a nerd everyday, and the fact that his phone literally has the wiki; and most importantly, MC is a character where when faced with the chance to save himself because he's scared or save others even if it means being scared, he will always choose the latter. That isn't his flaw being overseen for plot armor- theres moments where we see how this fear affects him and we see how he deals with this fear because ultimately, he refuses to let his flaws shackle him down.

He's a coward and he's scared, but his humanity and will to live outweighs that, so yeah he'll probably scream inside while doing it, but he'll persist. Which is a character I really fw.

Also I love the side characters. Villains or allies; they're all interesting personalities and they all get developed and they aren't just plot machines that bow down to the MC's will; they feel like real people with backgrounds, personal goals, flaws and quirks which made me fall in love with them so freaking much. <<less

genuinely scary and the MC is realistic, author did a great job with the characters. Plot is very interesting, but one thing, anyone that's a ghost is ruthless. Non-human= be scared for your life. I feel bad for Soleum having to deal with all this, his only motivator is to go home. With at least a dozen traumatic experiences

I like the dynamic of Braun and Soleum, even though it's scary. The story really knows how to show that Braun's quite evil and I say that Braun maintains the friendship just cause of the scary experiences Soleum goes through. Like entertainment, and that's so dangerous to the main character cause he just wants to be entertained so it's not a perfect friendship feeling more like, toying around. Although Braun is attached, just by not harming Soleum personally, he still a ghost and that's what we need to remember. These non humans, except the aliens, all have an agenda.

My fellow traumatized girlies... have you ever been so terrified that your entire being goes into survival mode?

That is the entire plot of this novel. A scaredy-cat trying his hardest to survive a world filled with ghost stories. It feels very episodic because of the different ghost stories he's tossed into, the stories being pretty simple at first getting more complicated in the later chapters.

Personally I really love clever and caring main characters so I really enjoyed this!

This is a horror/thriller + psychological novel that's basically based off the concept of SCP foundation/creepy pasta stories. It's one of those novels that really hooks you in and makes you wanna binge-read it all to then anxiously wait for new chapters every day. It's got insanely good fanart on twitter too!!

Our MC is an unreliable narrator that swears up and down that he's a coward, but he honestly does things that require a lot of courage even if he's scared shitless, and is all around very altruistic despite his... more>> denial.

His "cowardice" is actually a main driving factor in how this novel still manages to be outstanding despite its overdone premise of "MC is transmigrated and is the only one who knows everything about this world". This personality trait leads him to solve problems in an unorthodox way that is not always the easiest/most efficient way to overcome them, which are always super entertaining to figure out as he goes through the motions.

However he's not perfect as he does exhibit human flaws/error especially later in the story. So rest assured MC is not OP to the degree of trivializing every stake. It's just a slight edge over everyone else. Things esepcially get harder for him as the story progresses and he has less information on more dangerous ghost stories he has to clear. Eventually he can only really rely on his own problem solving skills based on the few hints he has.

But most importantly.. THE SUSPENSE!! Author writes in a way that really makes you FEEL the terror and uncertainty the cast faces in every ghost story... They do a very good job at keeping you on your toes too, because a lot of unexpected things happen even if the MC believes he's got everything down!

The novel has no lack of comedy either, as the situations our MC is thrust into are always absurd in some way. His internal monologue is a highlight too. You'll see him act out many facades in order to survive in the crazy company he works at, which is always funny to watch how different he actually is on the inside. I love seeing him interact with all the characters of the cast.

About the cast: They all have unique personalities which makes you want to learn more about them and their circumstances, even if it's an annoying pain in the ass that makes MC's life harder. There's a lot of mystery and intrigue surrounding important characters too... Not gonna delve too deep into it because it's spoilers but things aren't as straightforward as they seem.

Overall, I definitely recommend this novel!! It's gotta be one of my favorites so far and I read quite a lot! <<less

I LOVE this Novel! MC is funny with his tries to look crazy! I love th dynamics between workers and Kim Soleum! And the horror! Very interesting! More original than other isekai. (Well im not so sure if this is isekai 100% yet) Read it if you into mystery and trailers! (Also it feels a bit Lovecrafty!)

This is such an amazing horror novel that I binge read and absolutely fell in love with. Highly recommend.

Our MC, Kim Soleum, is a scaredy cat, but a capable one. He reminds me of Kim Dokja in the way he solves things out of the box. (They both come in with lots of info, but it's how they use it that's important, and this info also isn't omnipotent). He is able to work past his fears and overcome them when needed, which is such a funny part of the story... more>> when he acts stoic but is inwardly shaking. And to that one reviewer, no, I don't think he has to end up passed out from fear of his situation. Humans are adaptable beings capable of adaptation and overcoming limits. Our MC is one example. He's also kind (but hides it a bit like Cale).

Yes, MC does have an ability to research and gain information about the horror he finds himself in. He starts off being able to use them. But eventually, pretty quickly on, you'll see him in cases where this information does not give him the ability to breeze past the story. He still has to make deductions on his own. For example

The tuesday show he nearly died in did not have any clear hints because no one, according to that wiki, had cleared it before. Soleum had to get out of that situation through quick thinking and communicating with teammates.

The hang man game had NO SOLUTION (according to the wiki "cheat") to saving the hanged man. Our clever MC risked his life and did that on his own.

When his teammate got unexpectedly comtaminated, MC was the one with quick thinking who saved him, no wiki cheats used.

I could list so many more cases where the "cheats" a reviewer names end up giving him little to no help with escaping horror stories. MC's brain and quick thinking are what is to thank for that. Yes, the wiki does help him in the knowledge department, but MC is the one capable of actually employing this knowledge, deducing solutions, and physically carrying the out to the end.

On another aspect, this isn't just solving horror stories. The world building of this story is amazing. Not only is the government involved, but MC also works at a company. He has coworkers, bosses, and higher ups engaging in power struggles. He has friends. He has a team. And soon, you'll find that the wiki he has (bigger spoiler warning)

is NOT omnipotent. As in, the higher ups of the world control and doctor information, so certain things don't even show up in the wiki, which will end up as a later plot point and I bet will be even more important later in the story.

. This is a plot driven and character driven story, and I bet there's even more surprises set for the future.

Side characters are also stunning. Women are given a more significant role in this story (lot of prominent female company employees who are intelligent and capable).

So, if you like horror and world builiding, amazing characters, a capable MC, etc. What are you waiting for? This is fantastic story and one of my favorites. READ THIS. I'm so sad that I can't find more chapters and that this is ongoing. I can't wait to read more. <<less

Genuinely such an amazing novel. It pretty heart warming from the start. I love how the protagonist interacts with people but he never forgets his original goal of going home. He crazy smart and reading these scene gives you a sense of exhilaration. This novel is actually scary, and my heart's literally thumping wondering how the MC will get through his next trial. He made so many friends along the way of his journey and this story was also kinda funny even though it was a horror story. Don't let... more>> what I'm saying though fool you. I though this would be a cute story but after chapter 208, I was left bawling for an hour. I feel so bad for our Kim soluem 😞. I hope he'll be able to get what he wants because he really deserves it. I wish I could give him a hug. Anyways, its a great novel and I'm sure you won't regret reading it. <<less

Honestly from the start after reading the first few reviews, I had really high expectations for this and it delivered exactly that. This is so good I am really looking forward to more.

The unlimited flow genre is one of my favourite genre specifically when paired with a good writer chief kiss. That means I would read it even if the writing was not good. But this one not only is the writing good even the translator is doing such an awesome job. The way the translator is making the scene... more>> more engaging for the readers makes me get chills.
