My heart broke into pieces with the last arc/movie that was filmed. This story was wonderful.

The beginning was a little slow for me, but once the ML was introduced and the relationship between then started developing, I was completely hooked.

Re-read this, and after having read many more entertainment stories, I have to say that this really is one of the better ones in the genre! MC isn't ridiculously OP and he doesn't act with the ML in every role he's in. I know the standards are a bit low here,... more>> but hear me out. MC has trauma from his past life and he runs into actual challenges that he works hard to overcome. He's truly dedicated to acting, and he doesn't rely on his pretty face, because he's lived so many years without that being an option for him. I really do love the MC, he's really just out here trying his best to live well and do what he loves.

ML truly is one of the greenest flags out there, he's respectful of MC and doesn't pressure him at all. Rather than your typical cold and distant ML, he's friendly and a social butterfly, and you can really see how hard he works. He's a solid person that MC can rely on, and he provides just the right amount of support, without being overbearing. I love how he would check in on MC's boundaries and never once crossed them. He's so sweet and the way he's always thinking how cute MC is!! He's literally the heart eyes emoji around MC haha

Also not really a spoiler because it's revealed quite early on, but on MC's feelings about ML,

MC used to have feelings for ML even in his past life, and the way that he was hesitant to act on his feelings because of his past trauma was well written! It was an added bonus to the second chance plot that he also got to have his second chance with his unfulfilled love of his first life :')

Also it was cute that MC is apparently ML's first love from childhood, but my brain was running so many mental gymnastics trying to figure out their ages because they're 4 or 5 years apart in age and there's really no way to make that work as a childhood crush right??? Like a 14 year old can't have a crush on a 9 year old right??? I just have to suspend disbelief.

The relationship between ML and MC really was my favorite part about this story, as the two of them were just film nerds together who love acting and each other. Truly some soulmate type shit!!

Also shoutout to the author for writing female characters that I actually liked. Especially the lesbian bestie, can I date her please?? Where's my transmigration story into being her terrible ex and managing to redeem myself from the original villainess plot lol <<less

This... it feels like forever since I felt like I genuinely liked a novel (honestly, must have only been a few weeks, but you feel me?)

While reading this, I have cried and smiled, genuinely felt sad, moved, worried and angry along with the characters. This is probably because the plot and characters were more realistic than what I am used to from the last few novels I have read.

The main leads were so likeable and so were also a lot of the side characters. There were few characters that... more>> did not show how multi-dimensional they were and if they were one-dimensional, then it was due to them being minor characters and lacking of screen time. Most characters also had distinct personalities that made them memorable and more relatable/realistic.

One such character is Yang Yu, the MC's agent. At first, I was not sure whether he was a good guy due to his distant and managerial way of interacting with Zhou Yuhe (MC), but he soon grew on me as it was clear that he only acted out his role as agent based on his experience as an idol agent which may not always be the best choice as an agent of an actor. But he and Yuhe are both adapting to each other and their relationship also grows to form trust between them.

The ML as often is basically perfect. Xie Yifeng is op as an actor based on years and years of experience so it's not like his skills are unfounded. He is supportive and smart in his own way with high EQ as he knows when to push and when to give space.

Zhou Yuhe (mc) is also pretty op as an actor, but not unrealistically so as he also runs into hurdles and troubles. Aside from his superb acting, other traits of his are a high IQ and EQ which he displays in various ways. But again, he is no genius as he is also easily tricked at times. Basically, he is a well-rounded character.

My personal highlight, however, were the various drama and movie plots that Yuhe acted in. The descriptions of the scenes and plots made it easy to immerse oneself in them. The plots were also pretty thought-out which distinguishes this novel from other showbiz novels I have read.

I felt my inner fangirl squeal like a dying pig when Yuhe manhandled Ji Chen and domineeringly said "Here, I am your faith." f*cking handsome. 666

The cat movie and gay movie plots made my heart ache and my eyes become a freaking mountain spring.

I can already tell that I will come back to reread this novel someday just for the movie plots and Zhou Yuhe's handsome acting. <<less

this novel is very good.

plotline: although MC and ML seems op. very few face slapping... what I enjoyed the most were the stories on every tv series/movie that they act on. the plots can stand alone on itself. I love the last movie the most. if there will be a movie for it in real life I'd definitely watch it.

romance: its like boiling a frog. slow but lovely which is understandable since MC has been through a lot. thats why its ok for me that after rebirth his life is... more>> smooth sailing. come on he deserves it after what he'd gone through. ML is like a breath of fresh air after climbing the top of a mountain, a warm cup of cocoa in a winter night that gives you joy and warmth and a sense of fullness.. ML is not the domineering president type but the decent ideal husband type.

I've read almost all transmigration, rebirth or reincarnation bl novels (exclude QT since I don't like it). I don't know why but I remember reading the first chapter and dropping it. And now, after a long time, I decided to pick it up again. I don't have much hope for bl novels and my standards is quite low. But this sure passed my standards. Go read it if you have free time. Its a good novel nonetheless even if it quite generic and doesn't have any striking points.

It was so good and worth to read, I swear <3 dang I actually cried in the extra chapters T^T the first life is so pitiful uck, I love the ML here, he isn't your typically ML where they were bossy and arrogant or something, he's a hard working actor, he struggle first in order to achieve what he is right now. he is also so cute and caring, ahh he's an ideal husbando T^T he will stay by your side even in you darkness time, he'll give you a... more>> new light and hope, a life where you will crawl back to the top again... ahhh <3 the MC is cool too, he is not your typically MC where they were only pitiful or something after meeting the ML, he used his own abilities in order to shine~ I also like this because it also focused on acting <<less

This is really good and cute. We all know how the trope goes but here it's pretty well written. It leaves you a light, warm and fluffy feeling while at the same time keeping you engaged with just enough drama. Sure, some things are a bit exaggerated but all in all it can be overlooked.

  • The protagonist, although somewhat OP, still experiences growth, while the acting depiction itself it's pretty interesting.
  • The relationship with the ML is sweet but still engaging enough (and although it may seem like he fell in love at random or a bit too early to some, it's really not like that). Most importantly for me, although the ML does help the MC and looks after him, it's still in the acceptable levels and the MC

    doesn't depend completely on him

    like in many similar stories I've read. On the contrary, the MC also helps and looks after the ML (although there is

    a bit of an imbalance at the beginning, due to obvious reasons). This is really how I'd like all pairings to be. Or to become, at least.

  • Moreover, although the MC changes his destiny and frees himself from the presence of some poisonous people, face slapping is not really the focus of this story and mostly even happens due to circumstances, in the end.
In short, this... more>> is really a mainly cute and engaging story about taking your life in your hands, appreciating life and people and striving towards what you like. <<less

I would actually give this 4.5. First of all I'm never a big fan of entertainment story but this novel is surprisingly pretty good. The story tells about the journey of how the MC is after rebirth. And since MC is an actor the author actually explains the roles MC plays in detail. So it has a feeling of QT with many story arcs. This is really an interesting take of entertainment novel in my opinion. Usually rebirth actor story only talks abt how MC faceslaps things through but never... more>> brushes on the acting or roles the MC plays.

Warning is there's a slight angst but it's bitter sweet so no worries.I don't know why lately a lot of novels I read didn't have this angst tag when they def can mk u cry. So prepare ur tissues! <<less

I'm not good at making review so I will just say it shotly here.

THIS STORY IS REAAAALLLYY GOOOOD, well altough it is not the best danmei novel i've ever read but it certainly has a good plot, story, and characters. I'm new at making review but I decided to make a review this time because some of the last chapter had make me cried.

Overall I really like the story, and the interaction between the MC and ML are cute and heartwarming. If your really curious then just go out and check the story now. And please, do not mind my review because I review it clearly from my prespective and people have different prespective.

The story started off just like other rebirth novels but it developed nicely. I thought the MC was just like any rebirth character who is blinded but revenge but I was proven wrong.

The later parts of the story makes me feel emotional.

There's not much of face-slapping and revenge. At the start, the MC really hated the people who harmed him in his last life but then he let it go. But although the MC didn't actively cause damage to them, they still had a bad end. Their bad ends are... more>> caused by their own actions.

The romance is good. I feel really sorry for the MC and the ML but all is good now. They're already living good lives :')

I like the relationship of the MC and ml. So sweet.

I like how the MC and ML are both actors. Since they're both actors, they can help each other also they meet often and even have movies together which is really nice.

The ML is nice and gentle to the MC. The ML actually liked the MC way way before.

The story in the movies are pretty good. Especially the last one.

The MC isn't op. He encountered troubles that he put effort to overcome. Although he is good at acting, he still has something to improve on and the novel shows this improvement. <<less

I really loved it❤️

It wasn't rush like most rebirth novels. It had it's own pace which fits perfectly. The step by step scenes were appropriate and unique. All in all, I really enjoyed it.

Damnx3! I just wanted to casually read this but I actually found another treasure!! Its sometimes calming but it also somehow stir up my heart. Love it when the MC is so cool yet so warm~ My heart usually throb when I encounter a good story. I 100% believe in my intuition when it comes it! This web novel was stellar. I enjoyed the plots of the movie our MC acted in as well as the pairing. The two meet quickly but they don’t get together too fast. The villain of the story were obviously the bad guys but they felt three dimensional. Even though I can acknowledge their wrongdoings, I also sympathize with them for their own struggles. The novel is also fully English translated allowing for a seamless reading experience.

I really like this novel for many reasons. First, it’s more about the MCs adventure from the beginning to his end goal. He was distracted in the middle sure with all the uncontrollable events beyond him but he had always journeyed with his firm belief to his goal which was acting. It’s really hard to portray an OP MC to not take advantage of his ‘rebirth’ foreknowledge. It’s a double sided sword but I feel the author controlled the plot well even with this factor in mind. Second, the ultimate... more>> ‘villian’ in this story isn’t one person perse. I feel like the author was able to portray both the ‘pure villian’ cliche well (the female antagonist) and the ‘realistic villian’ (the male antagonist). Pure villian cliche meaning the typical villian was just couldnt stop himself for doing shitty things and just seems pure evil with absolutely no logic. Whilst the opposite is the reason driven villian where they are almost whitewashed and sorta feel sympathy towards them. So I feel this point contributed a lot to my 5 star rating. Third, the ML here was neither one sidedly a foil nor a golden finger of MC. I feel the author was able to wittily make it seem like the ML and MC had their own strengths which radiates a strong sense of power-couple. In the story- ML was the source of MC’s courage in a way as well as comfort, his senior brother in acting his ‘bro’ in personal life struggle. But in the extra- I felt ML wasn’t really perfect.. Sure he assisted MC all the way from last life to the new life but he was really very passive and not courageous enough. ML was too OP for me in the actual story, he was just that good and that dedicated and with unblemished reputation but he was so perfect and looked unreal. But from the extra it explicitly told that

ML was a genuis in acting from young and had an acting background too both parents were in acting. He was just that good in acting but he was beaten down by reality and had to work even harder for his acting career. Along the way he loved and work as actor as his number 1 priority so that even though he had some special feelings for MC in the last life, he wasn’t courageous enough to really fight for him. He was always in the wrong time. When he met the MC at youth audition MC was with 1st bf then next time they met MC was with male antagonist. Even when MC got his face burned and ML somehow accompanied MC throughout his healing and recovery of both his body and career, their relationship never went into fruition because he always felt ist was not time. Until after MC and male antagonist died in the fire, he never got his chance again in that previous life. It was bland ending for him

so in love aspect, I really give ML a 3 which I can barely treat as his moe gap. He isn’t losing out to have MC in love with him. I still feel MC is a bit in the losing side. And the last point for the rating, the scripts summary in the story. For many acting genres this is one of the biggest hurdle. How to make the movie the MC starred in make it believable for the reader to rationalize it as a hit. The author was able to make the script though summarized interesting enough. It’s not mind boggling, not really that innovative but the case in point is the excerpt has potential to be thought provoking which is already good enough for a web novel.

All in all a well deserve 5 for my short read. Thanks the author. <<less

Now that's an entertainment danmei!!! This was a ride to read! It isn't light nor is it heavy, it definitely has the sort of dark vibes though. The showbiz part is showbiz-ing! Really love to read the acting part and I have to say those are really well done ang not or of place to read unlike other novels that has the same "actors pov".

MC is a cold, dare to hate dare to love kind of person and I love these kinda MC. Theres so much growth in them and... more>> the golden finger is an icing on top! If you love face slapping then this is for you. ML is cute, but definitely none the wiser on MC. He's another one great character, loved MC from his lowest to his highest. The antagonists have a semi realistic ending which I love.

I have to say though, I absolutely love the last acting part arc Boying. I teared up on that one. Really so good.

Greatly enjoyed the process of MC going from traffic star to established actor in the entertainment industry. He wasn’t super op because he was reborn but it did give him a lot of advantages but he did have periods were he suffered and had to work hard. I enjoyed that the outcome for the two “villains” was also realistic. People that powerful could be taken down a notch but usually they stay in power (although not as prestigious as before). I didn’t get a chance to read the extras this... more>> story was very sweet and I hope we get a future where ML wins another best actor’s award. Also, ML was really clever and supportive of MC. He didn’t solve all his problems but was always there to help him if he needed it. <<less

Read it for a second time and still love it!

I recommend it if you like the second chance at life or redo life type of story.

The MC and ML are both talented actors.

... more>> The MC doesn't specifically go for revenge himself which is refreshing. It's more like all the s*um naturally get what they deserve.

The extra about the MLs last life after MC passed away is so sad it made me cry. The story of the gay movie at the end also got me in tears.

I'm glad the MC has such happiness in his second life he deserves it. And so does the ML. He silently guarded the MC for so long... <<less
