The cousin that Jing Huan has been closest to since he was a child was labelled as “the other woman” in a certain popular online game: only after devoting herself did she know that the other party was a jerk with a girlfriend.

After several days of being bullied online by people in the game, his cousin went abroad in a fit of anger and sorrow.

Jing Huan couldn’t take this lying down; he decided to take revenge for his cousin using the same method as that guy – buy a character in game and kill that slag guy thousands of times online.

With his strength and skill as the Great God when the game was first launched, wouldn’t he be able to kill that guy and force him to quit the server in minutes?!

He went online, eager to fight, but made a discovery after conducting a round of investigations — this slag guy was the number one DPS server-wide, number one on the expert ranking list, number one on the wealth ranking list, number one on the popularity ranking list, and number one on the fame ranking list.

Conclusion: Can’t screw him over.

Jing Huan felt despondent. He was just about to give up when he personally witnessed his dormmate’s online relationship end right after meeting each other in real life. The other party had sent fake photos and changed their voice, and had even cheated him of his money, triggering his dormmate so much that he was almost admitted to a hospital.

Jing Huan felt enlightened as a sudden realisation dawned on him. After comforting his roommate, he moved the high-priced voice changer back to his rented house overnight.

Have you ever been fed so much dog food from a novel that you legit feel like a goddamn 3rd wheel and question your dating life?

Usually, I just fangirl and support the couple, but omfg this novel made me feel single af!! Where to find me a lover like Xiang Huaizhi?!?!

Although I know my personality type will never catch a man like Xiang Huaizhi, one can hope...

... more>> Anyway, love the story. I haven't been this entertained in a long while, so it was a refreshing read.

Lowkey, I don't really like loud MC who acts shameless, act like they are the boss of their friend group, act like they can say whatever they want/threatened whoever they want, but when it comes down to the serious parts, they suddenly can't say anything. It isn't even due to pride. You can say it was due to nervousness and guilt, but, in my opinion, that just makes him more annoying than likeable. You could say he acts tough because he was with friends, but that only makes me dislike him more because the way he talks to them is super rude, condescending, insulting, and full of mockery. Honestly, if MC was an average/below average looking dude like his friend, he wouldn't have caught ML's attention. ML wasn't straight to begin with. Maybe it was poor writing, but when ML first met MC in RL, he was automatically checking MC out. He didn't even care about MC in game as a female until he found out they were the same person.

Anyway, as much as I didn't really like MC, I also like him just as much. Good story. 10/10 recommend! <<less

Firstly, thank you for the amazing translation! 5/5

The title basically gives away the entire plot. I wouldn't necessarily say it's cliche but the plot was predictable and I stayed till the end for the fluff and tearjerkers.

he claimed himself to be straight but fell in love easily with the s*um online guy who cheated on his sister, and I thought the s*um ML would say sorry for cheating on his sister but it's himself who apologized to s*um ML for lying and falling in love hard for him, what a shameless MC, he has brain of teenage girl

Too many things about the game, but for me, it's just a waste of chapters also the names are very confusing and, I don't think I will re-read this novel! There are plenty of good novels that have low ratings just because of drama, omegaverse, and r*pe but the stories are far better than this novel <<less

The way I actual felt my soul leaving my body with MC multiple times in this story was visceral and hilarious. Highly recommend, every story written by this author is gold.

out of 117 chapter and 4 extra. I skip some of 3 to 4 chapter paragraphs. I got bored before ending. At first I find it interesting, it makes me laugh too but suddenly it leave a bitter taste. For me the MC act sissy after using female accounts. I got expectations when the author tells that MC played the game in the past and called a Vanguard Prince. I got expectations that he's gonna be strong coz he's a gamer in the past but nah it's always ML save... more>> the day moment and ML wiping his ass. <<less

5/5 gosh! 12:11am and still craving after finishing it! Don't hesitate once you see this gem.

It's an absolute masterpiece. So full of fluff. It's funny to read too and there is not a single boring chapter in it. The way they develop their feelings is perfectly written and expressed. I was fed with dog food but mostly with happiness due to the comedic parts haha.

I recommended this to my sister... Until I reached the toot toot scene. Dang, rip to me... I won't withdraw my recommendations to her tho *wicked... more>> grin* the b. scene is not that explicit and is pretty rare so it's okay.

It's worth reading! *stars shinning* (I still have Xiao Tianjings' influence in me so I'll keep on typing this way) *smile*

I don't think I even need to say anything! Isn't it already so obvious that this novel is hella good? As always, Jiang Zi Bei writes masterpieces!

I really want to strangle my past self for avoiding it for 2 years straight thinking that I might not like a novel In which the in-game interactions covered the most part than real life. Basically I had made my own assumptions towards it, thinking that the ML might be too cold or there will be too much second hand embarrassment, even tho I... more>> have read and loved all other novels by this author.i thought it might not be fun since I already read the spoilers and so. But I'm so glad I finally read it... its a masterpiece! A comedic gold! And if anyone has the same apprehensions as me, then please take a lesson from my story and don't avoid it! Go read it! Its worth your time!

It was so freakin hilarious right from the start that there wasn't even one moment when I wasn't laughing or smiling goofily reading it! The in game interactions were so funny! It wasn't the type of comedy which doesn't even hit its mark, but rather the puns, the reactions, the comedic dialogues! Everything was done right and hit the nail and oh boi I just totally fell in love with huanhuan in the process! The contrast between his in game actions and words and his real thoughts and actions was just perfect. Idk how many times I just wanted to screenshot the whole novel lol. Every part was so funny! I'm in awe of the author for writing this so well! She kept the comedy going from the first chapter to the end, without ever making me bored or tired (I literally pulled an all nighter because I couldn't stop reading and this rarely happens!)

While I loved the in-game parts, I still felt that there should have been more irl interactions and so glad that the author fulfilled my wish! The latter half of the novel was just that! Lots of irl interactions, dog food being scattered everywhere! Me blushing like a tomato while fangirling, laughing and totally melting at how good the romance was! The author perfectly balanced it with both the halves then! So no worries, there's so much fluff and romance! Enough to make you melt into a puddle of goo!

I've always loved the characters written by Jiang Zi Bei and there's no exception in this novel too!Her MCs are always unique in each novel! Yanyan was a precious cinnamon roll, Jian Rong was a badass yet adorable baby while Huanhuan is totally hilarious, proactive, coquettish and flirtatious! He was digging pits for himself through out the novel lol but when it was time to chase the one he loved, he was super flirty and proactive in showing his affections, a quality of MCs written by Jiang Zi Bei that I always love! He was resolute in admitting his mistake and apologising!I love how he pursued the ML and was totally shameless in the process because yess if you love someone, you have to pursue them and express your affections!His confession!!! I love that confession so much!!!Huanhuan really kept winning my heart the more I read on ahead!And I think this is my third time saying this in a review (of JZB's novels) but damn boi The MLs written by JZB are always so damn hot, gentle and loving that they always manage to make me melt into a puddle and Xiang Huaizhi, our ML was just that. He was so loving, gentle and pateint, always trying his best to love and take care of Huanhuan in his own way. Boi do I even need to say more?? The romance was super good with such leads!

How can we forget the side characters, always adding more hilarity and spice to the story lol. Lu Wenhao was the best boi lol without him the novel wouldn't have been this good! I loved all the interactions between huanhuan and his roommates! I need such bros too! And the best wingman award goes to Lu Hang! The ML's roommate! He was always out helping the ML figure out his feelings and tipping off the MC about ML's actions lol! The in-game guild character just added more to it and I really liked them all too! Seriously this novel wouldn't have been this good, if even one of then was missing lol.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel! Having read a lot of novels at this point, its rare for me to enjoy myself this much while reading anything, but this novel managed to do just that! I highly recommend you guys to read it and do check out JZB's 'I can do it' and 'Pubg online romance of the century'!Both of these are as good as this one!She's such an awesome author and needs more recognition! 🙌🙌 <<less

4.5 stars. I would absolutely buy this in paperback if it was ever officially translated. I have read this novel 3 times now. It is really my cup of tea. MC is great, ML is even better and the story line is complete, but leaves you wanting more.

Would absolutely be a solid 5 star for me but I dislike the anti feminine undertones. As a gamer I didn't like the parts that said girl gamers are bad or that the only girls guys like are lolita cutesy types. I know... more>> weird thing to be so picky about, especially since it's not nearly as bad as some other Chinese novels, but those parts really bugged me.

I also would have liked 1 extra with them coming out to their families. As it was left I have a hard time seeing a happy ending for them, I know it's implied they are trying to slowly get their parents used to them but.....I didn't like that there was no closure. <<less

The first half of the story is frustrating. 🤨 Although I only vaguely remember the storyline since I shelved it half way a long time ago, this impression remains quite strong.

This doesn't mean the story is bad. In fact, it is actually a very good novel. It's just that I couldn't stand the main character's illogical thinking, so I dropped it half way. Seriously, which straight man would seduce another man for the sake of revenge just because his cousin had an in-game conflict? 🤦‍♀️ He's already gay at that... more>> point.

to be honest, I didn't really like the main character at first, but I changed my mind at around the time of Christmas events (which is after I came back to resume the read). He's very cute and (thank god) unexpectedly straightforward, which really helps with all the problematic misunderstandings and saves them from wasting too much times. This is good, I appreciate it.

in the meantime, the male lead's character is great, I wish he also exists in real life. He's very kind, gentle and understanding. He's no doubt a very good boyfriend.

This is really a very good read!!!

I really liked ML Xiang Huaizhi. He is such a good character I would say. Though the story is of MC Jing Huan point of view, some places we could sense ML's feelings strong. He was tricked by MC then he know the truth but went along with it, fall in love with MC in both game and real life, but all this time MC was only playing him. But when ML got angry with MC, the tables turned.

I like this. Its funny and interesting. ML is super sweet, MC will give u second hand embarrassment. Hahaha.

I like that it was written in a realistic way - like the way they reacted felt really natural and made sense.

Highly recommended. Liked this book so much that I went to read the other book but I still prefer this one.

Misunderstanding that leads to hilarity then love.

As what the synopsis said, MC is posing as a girl to avenged his cousin who was conned by a slag man in an online game. He finally founnd the guy and decided to seduced him, little did he know that all of his antics will backfire at him soon. Good thing that the "slag man" is very sweet and understanding. This where everything starts.

Overall I can only rate it as ok. The characters were nice, the game they played was interesting, the couple was very cute, the misunderstanding wasn't that cringy or overdramatic. The plot was very predictable and had a lot of clichés but you know what? That's what I was expecting when I picked up the novel so it didn't really bother me. The whole premise lowkey reminded me of A Slight Smile is Very Charming (the way they knew each other in the game but not irl and the whole... more>> one of them discovers before the other).

The one thing I want to complain about is

Why is MC barely interacting with his cousin who he supposedly likes enough to seduce a guy for months ? I know they probably texted off screen but how am I supposed to believe that they're so close and he loves her so much but they only interacted when she asked about his birthday present and then when she showed up for like two days? I would've liked it if she was more involved or his relationship with her was more believable and she wasn't just a plot device to create the conflict in the last few chapters. He loves his cousin so much that he decided to seduce a guy to get her revenge but forgot that she's going to come during Christmas? I don't buy it.

If this single detail was handled better I would've given it 5 stars because despite being simple and very predictable, it was a nice read and had a very sweet couple and MCs personality didn't change once they got together (and once he accepted his feelings) which I really appreciate. Not groundbreaking but enjoyable if you're into a simple romance with misunderstandings. <<less

Absolutely my favorite gaming-related novels. So fluffy and adorable. Full of misunderstandings and hilarity. I was more of a fan of the real life scenes rather than the gaming scenes, sometimes I have a hard time resonating with gaming concepts because I'm not much of a gamer myself. Either way, I enjoyed every minute of this novel. Honestly a top-tier danmei, one of my all-time favorites in general.

After reading the novel, I had to double take every 10 chapters to make sure I haven't read it before. The plot is the exact same as "waiting for you online" and some other MMO based BL webtoons I've read before. It's so unoriginal that I got déjà vu at least once per chapter. On the other hand, it's probably the best executed out of the ones I did read. The MC is far more likeable and the side cast of characters gives the story additional charm.

If you're looking for... more>> some fluff to fill the time, this is as good of a novel as any other. Good translation work is another plus here. <<less

This was actually very enjoyable. The second-hand embarrassment..... with comedy.... I was smiling and laughing in every chapter.

Really enjoy the dog food. I love how this time it was actually Shou pursuing Gong.... that too both time, unlike most other bl where it's Gong pursuing Shou. It was kinda refreshing and sweet.

Usually I don't re-read novel (coz have a long list of novels to read) but I still read this because I miss it so much. It's hard to find... more>> another novel with similar story like this, that excite me as much as this one (I did find 1 or 2 good one, but no more). So back here again for out catfish romance.

it's a so-so novel with great translation team. I think it's passable but it's really not my cup of tea. Too bad.

the story focus on Jing Huan, a colleague student, who want to scam the s*um who broke his sister's heart. While in the process of wooing Yerning For, in game. He also get to know handsome senior in real life. And the fate just play its trick to bend 2 single good looking men to get together :)

I hate how their relationship begin with LIE with no sincerity at all. Like how ML first fall for MC because he think MC is sincere with what he said in the game and we all know MC is not. ML cuaght who MC is in real life real quick so I thought we will get ton of loveydovey but each time MC inner feeling just kill all the mood. He said one thing and actually mean nothing. I feel so bad for ML who try to understand MC.

and I also don't think MC took anything seriously. He seems to think he good at gaming he even once a best player with big guild (?) but sometime he look like he doesn't know what's going on in the game (?) he want to scam ML money but when ML threw things at him he didn't take it (?)

and to think MC didn't play game for years but still play it better than his friends who never leave the game :) why is that (?)

and where is the comedy people talking about I think I missed every punch line (?)

but it's fluffy enough though if you can forget how MC actually didn't mean anything in those fluffy moment :)

This was so good. The MC and ML are so sweet and it was funny how they MC was trying so hard to be cute and ML was just eating it all up XD. The pacing is great and plot is 10/10. One of the best bl gaming novels ever.

This was a pretty mediocre read. The plot was all sweet and fluffy. There weren't any heartbreaking scenes or moments and even when the ML found out the truth about why the MC approached him their wasn't really much drama and it was resolved pretty fast.

This was a satisfying read about how the MC wins over the MLs love. Satisfying but boring by the time I was half way done. This is actually the first gaming novel I've started and finished so I don't think it was all that bad.... more>> I might just start reading more gaming novels now.

Well, the lack of drama made me like and not like this novel at the same time. <<less
