Even though he lived in America, Tang Cu had been deemed the “godly author” since his debut 8 years ago on a famous Chinese online novel website. However, many people did not know he had a severe social anxiety disorder which caused him to be considered “cold.” After being invited to do an interview for the company’s 10 year anniversary celebration in China, he finally gathered his courage to meet with his #1 fan, Pian Yu.

Pian Yu had been following Tang Cu’s novels for his entire career and, after noticing the lack of romance in Tang Cu’s popular novels, they wrote fanfiction for his novels to include the ‘romance’ Tang Cu left out.

However, Pian Yu turned out to be a male college student named Lu LianGuang.

Very nice read!!! Also be mindful of the tags please, if you're not into timid protagonist then this is definitely not for you, so just skip this and don't leave low rating just because of that.

Our MC is so adorable and sweet but because of his past trauma he developed a severe social anxiety. He's really pitiful. The ML is adorbale too, he's very patient and accepting, he loves the MC so much and tries his best to protect him and gradually let the MC open up slowly to the... more>> world.

The side cp is also cute, but not sure where to find the extra chapters.

The translation is really good and I really want to thank the translators for their hardwork and giving non-chinese speaking a chance to read these beautiful novels.

Highly recommend this short but really satisfying novel! The couple dynamics are cute and story is straightforward. The MC is a shy and repressed but famous web author who meets up with his #1 fan when he returns to the country to attend a web literature conference.

There is some heavy content in this story including major family conflict, emotional ab*se and childhood trauma. However, the MC learns to overcome this past and finds happiness with his new partner.

I would give this 4.5/5.0 stars because there are some parts with long... more>> explanations that drag down the plot - taking away half a star for that. But rounding it up to 5 for ratings.

As of this posting, the main story is completely translated but the extras have not been. The translator does an excellent job! Hopefully they will find time later to finish translating the extras. *Fingers crossed* <<less

More like 3.5 but the beginning really hooked me so I rounded up. This is the type of story that makes you ache for the MC and root for his happy ending.

I loved the MC and ML, their interactions are so sweet. Where this novel fell a bit flat for me is the evil novel website and the side couple.

There was enough drama with MC family and MC overcoming his past trauma, it made the novel website drama feel forced. I think if the author took out the website bits... more>> and focused on MC coming out of the darkness it would have been better.

the ML's roommate and the one that was supposed to be MC's roommate was out of left field and not really properly explained. ML's roommate was very much straight but he randomly hooks up with the other guy?

There was just too much shoved into this short story. Usually side couples are for longer stories to keep readers from getting bored.

Honestly by chapter 53 my attention was fading so I just skipped the last few chapters. Translation was good, thank you translator. Also worst parents ever 😡 <<less

after reading a heavy novel, I definitely needed something like this one.

there's not much to say tbh. It's such a wholesome novel about 2 webnovel authors falling in love. Definitely the kind of novel you should read if you are in need of some fresh air. The main cp was so likeable— they made me question my love life a lot. Sigh :")

you really should give this one a shot!

If you're looking for a "light" read with lots of fluff, second-hand embarassment, and some ocassional angst, this would be it for you! There's a considerable amount of character development for the main protagonists and I like that. I also like that there is also a clear reason between why the protagonists fall for each other. There are lots of stories out there in where the love interests just SUDDENLY fall in love with the protagonist and we aren't given a clear reason as to how or why. I did... more>> wish the author made another story for the side couple (lu liangyuan's friend Hou Miao x CEO) since that was also interesting and funny to read. Would definitely read again! <<less

Great translation, great story. It did exactly what it aimed to do and did not get bogged down by unnecessary dog blood. Extras are not yet translated but the main story is done.

I checked the author's other translated works and it's the author for No Money To Divorce! I loved that too and I do see the similarities in CP dynamics. But I feel this story was written better or maybe the translation was better? The narrative feels tighter here.

MC Tang Cu x ML Pian Yu This is a satisfying, straightforward, short novel. The dynamics between the main CP are cute. There is past trauma that the MC grapples with overcoming, which makes him tentative. The ML is a ray of sunshine providing healing. There was just enough angst to keep the plot moving forward. A good in-between read with a HE

I like the story very much, MC and ML they both are perfect for each other. I always like a plot of some kind of online dating where MC and ML met online first then in real life. In this story MC and ML both are writers.i feel bad for Tangcu his parents I hate both of they.

If anyone have recommendations for this plot please recommendations them for me

I love both the main couple and the side couple of this story so much!!! I really liked the way the author wrote the characters and their relationship, they felt very realistic and their interactions were very touching. I like the mix of angst and sweetness! I love how the ML is able to make the MC feel comfortable and open up and how the misunderstandings are very silly and resolved easily. I will definitely return to this one! I'm writing this review after my second read :)

The greenest flag ML, a very sweet story about healing. Definitely some angst and traumatic events are mentioned. Highly recommend, I loved the characters and writing!
