This was a light-hearted read. I love how they are an ordinary couple even though ML is very capable but still, the novel is pretty funny. It's difficult to find satisfying novel like this. So give it a try and you will not regret it. C:

A fluffy novel. It is definitely made to be a fantasy because of how perfect Wei Chu is. I personally find not much complaints. Su Le is just being herself. I like how honest and blunt she is on the get-go about Wei Chu's affections. I think that she is not cruel to the main lead; she was only being, yes, honest. I like that quality. She is just very steadfast on her philosophies in life, and like how she created barriers for Wei Chu's... more>> romantic feelings, it is her decision to make. We have to consider also that she literally got dumped in her relationship of two years not so long ago. It is completely realistic for her to do what she has done, so Wei Chu's work is natural.

This is definitely a power fantasy. Strong female lead who is admired? Check. Strong male lead who has been in love with said lead for years and is like a god? Check. Faceslapping? Check. I loved it for what it is. I catch myself squealing at Wei Chu's actions and adoring every minute of it. The steady pace of the two sparring with each other (with Wei Chu getting all weak points from Su Le's constant blocks) is lovely. It is an average novel, but it is a worthwhile read to keep your mind off of things. <<less

Like the other works of the author, I think this story is also a mindset changing type of a story.

I am one of the people who witnessed people chasing after someone who's not worth it so this story greatly affected me and I hope to share it with others. I admire the FL's strong personality but some parts don't get realistic (the ML also received the end of the stick because of the strong personality of FL :<). I also admire the ML who did everything to pursue the girl.... more>> Also no drama, no 3rd party (between the leads) and overly heavy atmosphere (it's actually very light). It'll be great if you want a breather from the heavy drama and intense stories.

I like novels that's not long so I appreciate it but because of it, the development of romance and relationship between the leads are lacking. I think it became more focused on the ideals of the story so the romantic phase of the leads are left out.

This story is good if you're looking for some light novels to read but I gave it a 4 because of the flaws I pointed out.

To be honest I had high expectations but was disappointed throughout the story and had to stop.

I like ML and the way he pursues her and how much he cares and likes her.

But boy, he does all the work and FL doesn’t even care and has zero response, I’m almost halfway and it’s so frustrating.

FL is strong and independent, but she’s lacking something to love about her apart from that.

Great and enjoyable. First novel where I got to see a calm romance without constructed misunderstanding or crazy girl/boy going after one of the two MCs.

The novel is short, there is no long flasback and the end is rushed. I don't advice a quick reading like some long novels, it's better to take it slowly.

A fluff light hearted romance novel thats good for light reading. As someone who is a fan of TBAVW and ETT, I'd say this falls in line with the author's type of heroine. A strong, independent and rational woman who has full control of her emotions. Paired with a strong, domineering, competent and intelligent man who is loyal & submissive only to the FL. To have a female protagonist who is independent and rational but still likeable and has attractive charms, its what most women of today wants to be. While some might say she was too indifferent or boring even, I actually liked Su Le's character, especially during the scandal confrontation, she was level headed and she knew her worth. The other person's heart clearly wasn't loyal to her anymore so why bother? Even if it was just a "plaything". It was already indicated that Su Le was someone who isn't easily moved, Zhuang Wei also knew that and yet he betrayed her trust. It was fate I guess, our FL got someone who deserved her and saw her worth much better. <<less

Binge read it in one day because it is so good. Both the FL and ML are just too good. I loved the character of the FL most; it reminded me of the FL from Tyrant Wang. This is a clean romance, quite fluffy, and perfect for those who love strong female characters.

Wei Chu is one of the most likable characters on planet. He is doting yet blackbellied and thick skinned when needed. Su Le was so lucky to have someone love her unconditionally, even with her somewhat less lovable personality. She is not hateful or annoying, but as a reader, except for her poise and indifference with wealth, there was nothing else that is lovable or outstanding about her. Perhaps it is because I am comparing her with Yu Dong of "Rebirth on the Doors to the Civil Affairs Bureau" that... more>> I feel she falls a bit short.

But since Su Le is the love of Wei Chu's life and that whatever WC likes I like also so I reluctantly accept Su Le. <<less

4/5 rating. Sweet short story. Different from all the ongoing stories. Recently all the stories I have read is just related to entertainment industry, fighting for name, fame and same thing. This is quite different. Especially strong character of female lead where she is independent, brainy and can handle her own matters. Male lead is equally strong and compatible to the female lead. Cute 7 hour read...

a bit bland, but considering it is short, it is okay... a very light read and nothing serious, a typical love story... we don't get to see the characters from a lot of angles so there is no depth and are more 2D characters and the stuff they say needs to be taken at face value even though there is no basis... also the ending is also typical...

I give this 3.5 stars. It's an average novel and it's quite cliche so far. If you read enough romantic Asian novels, the plot lines are predictable except the FL doesn't have the typical reaction because of her personality. The canon fodders tho haha. I don't want to spoil too much but really? What the odds they met? At least, the author didn't dragged the cliche moves.
