I hated the way they handled the issue with Xiao Bao. It's like the authors just wanted to quickly tie up all the plot ends before hitting c66. The way Su Yi reacted to his death as well is really telling. Either the author is a good writer who doesn't care much about her works as long as they meet the deadlines. Or the MC is a shitty disingenuous person. The backstory being Chu Ying saving Su Yi is also not expanded upon despite some foreshadowing. All the side characters, even the ones with the most screen time like the FL's agent/bestie are bland characters written in only to tick a box in CN novel checklist (she's so unmemorable that it's been ten minutes since I finished reading this and I've already forgotten her name.)

Additionally, you really can't see any love between the Main couple. Yes they met eachother a few years back and then they meet again and immediately FL starts hitting on ML and the ML likes it so they start dating and having s*x and then eventually they get married. The end.

what happened to the ML he did buy a ring right? Why not propose? I mtl-ed the remaining chaps and couldn't figure it out.

I feel sad for the MC's nephew what an irresponsible parents he have. R.I.P. May your soul be blessed and have a better and loving family in your next life.

Especially when we learn later in the story that this was not their first meeting. In fact, the ML rescued her during a mudslide when she was in her mid-teens and he was in his early twenties.

An example was when she stood up for a bullied salesperson who just happened to work in the ML's mall. A customer wanted to return something (that was worn and then washed) and then proceeded to slap the salesperson when they refused. The MC jumped in and the ML happened to arrive and was told everything that happened.

The actor got a lot of faceslaps and pretty much lost all of his credibility.

The "childhood friend" was someone the ML had completely forgotten about (I laughed so hard when he literally asked who she was when she showed up in front of him) and was trying to push for the marriage because it was the only way to save her family. It failed completely as the ML had zero interest in her and was already regularly pounding the MC.

I just want to ask the author tho, what's the point of create xiao bao character. I'm a HE loving gal. If you don't bother to give the little nephew a character development and/or HE, you don't need to create it just for the sake of remove/kill yhe character. I throw away so many tissue for the little nephew. This is also why I deduct 1 star from full star.
