Ughh! (ノಠ益ಠ) ノ彡┻━┻ I can't believe I still read this with only one chapter left to update!! But I don't regret it (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)

I was also close to dropping this story because of the first arc but it got increasingly better as I pressed onwards, especially the final arc. Yes, there's dog blood ofc BUT it also blew my mind and it's not often I get that feeling. (◕ᴗ◕✿) (｡ŏ﹏ŏ) And now I shall force myself to wait

To me this novel is so-so.. not that bad and not that good.. but if you want something easy to read then you can try and read this... as what other people said yes this novel is quite similar to FOD.. the plot is similar.. but FOD is way details while this the author just cut things short..

Some arc are good but some are just a little bit boring.. what I hate the most is the ending of each arc I feel the author are rushing each arc ending like... more>> MC finished task and it over.. not showing other people ending just sumerize everything and MC went back to his space..

The arc that I dislike the most is the zombies apocalypse.. where the ML disappear and the author didn't show other people reaction about it.. MC being calm about ML disappear is okay because he already guessed why ML disappear but what about other people.. ML character is a powerful person and have a lot of people following him.. so if he suddenly disappear won't people be panic?! But all the author show us is the MC finish his task and went back to his space.. like I said before.. the ending is very rushed..

In the end I think this story deserve 3 stars that the highest I could give...

Btw the translation group did a very good job with this novel and their other novel... totally recommend other people to read translation from chrysanthemum garden ;) <<less

THAT WAS SOOO GOOD! omfg I couldn't stop from reading the next chapter and I didn't even notice I was done!! The ending was so satisfying ahhh ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ The last world arc basically ab*sed us readers with all the dog food 🤣 so much dog food.

Like some have mentioned if you like QWTFOTD then you might like this one. I'm not gonna say which is better because ahh damn I'm in love with both.

The MC is in no way merciful or weak. Yes he doesn't show mercy he is cold... more>> and smart. I love how he hates it when the task is "make this person never forget about me or fall in love with me" I can feel him rolling his eyes like "Not this sh*t again" HAHAHAHA. He does feel sorry for the souls in each world and was curious if their souls are destroyed or went somewhere. The answer is revealed at the end it's all good. Also he's incredibly sticky to his hubby once he finally started loving him, he's like a sticky rice cake 🤣 the ML is the same person in every world and will lose all memory everytime. ML is so damn possessive but he hates forcing the one he loves. He is patient, I mean dude waited for him for thousands of years hahahaha.!

SO ABOUT THEIR IDENTITY

ML is the demon God of War (not sure but MTL says he is) He is the strongest in the devil/demon world and is feared by everyone. MC is not human... he is a puppet made by an emperor (who by the way is obsessively inlove with him as well) and for some reason he has a soul. He is the only puppet in the whole world realm whatever, to have a soul. He met the ML when he secretly went to the underworld to obtain a flower petal that was said to give him a real human body. That is where everything started for them. The tragic love story between two fated lovers 💔 but don't worry the tragic was just the beginning. In the end everything was fixed and it was satisfying.

Very happy ending. I wish it was longer I could read even the most irrelevant part of their lives like just chillin by the shore or making... making love all night longbjsnusbuuvsuvs (//∇//)

My favorite arc was the Slag Gong Arc 💔 I have to admit I cried... not for the MC but for the original host.

It's so tragic. They clearly loved each other but one did not trust the other. Reading that arc I felt like someone was squeezing my heart. The only one I couldn't forget even after finishing the story I kept thinking pls give them a happy ending but at the same time I just want the protagonist to suffer forever life after life, always remembering what he did and never again getting the love he once had because the only person who can give him that was already gone forever, never reincarnating. That was really sad 😭💔

To be honest, as much as I like it, I must admit this novel is not that extraordinarily great compare to other quick transmigration novels I've read so far. Yes, it's a fun read, and the MC is cute, but it's kinda similar to other novels. Both MC and ML are typical and there is barely anything unique in the storyline at all. I honestly have higher hope for the main storyline than the plots in the transmigrated worlds.

As it turns out, after I decide to stall my read for... more>> a while, not continuously reading the whole story in one go. I find the story is actually very pleasant. It's better to read an arc once in a while, and read anything else in between, so that you won't get bored by the same golden finger acts or interactions between the protagonists. I feel like I can appreciate the story more. <<less

First time to review, but I just have to note that its a sibling to 'Quickly face the devil'.

Unlike the MC in Quickly, this MC is in the more neutral and down to earth kind attitude. But he's not too neutral that's classified as cold hearted. He has clear mind and straight forward goals. From "Right. Let me just finish this and I'll get back to you, kay?" to "Oh? Oh! Okay, I see where this is going, and I like it, don't mind if I do"

ML's possessive-ness, multiple... more>> words, transmigration is similar to Quickly that's why I dubbed it as a sibling. Not twins. Sibling.

Well I am just on Ch 16 so I can't say if this has revenge on MC's part, or perhaps grown to have a revengeful side but he's attitude is super refreshing, like a spring breeze. From the synopsis, I betting he'd be the type of MC who grows to be CRYING over spilled milk (holding the golden thigh) after transferring multiple worlds like

" ; w ; huhu what have I done!? Is there no hope in finishing, ML please let me do my job in peace #sendHelp# #needWalkthrough# " then gets eaten throughly by ML.

Too good!! This novel is too good!! At first you will think that this is similar to FOD, but it is not! Definitely not.

Well anyways just read it. You will not regret it.

Not bad. Not as bad as what the other poor reviews say. It might not be a 5 star for me but definitely a 4 star. Firstly, the MC is pretty cute! He might seem a little heartless and apathetic (which u will find out why later) at times but to be honest I dont think its that bad..? Maybe my moral standards are a little off but I find him pretty okay though hahahaha. I love how he live daringly. Like once he spots his man he will just... more>> go for his man. Also, I really love the ML and his love for the MC. No matter in which world, his love will never change. He only has eyes for the MC, which is my favourite part. He might be a little overbearing and possesive but he is also someone that cannot stand seeing his lover sad or crying. Super cute.

Recommended if you just want some brainless fluff to kill time. If you're looking for great and deep plots and etc then maybe this is not for u :") <<less

This is my second time reading this novel and It's still 5 stars to me. Sometimes after reading a story the 2nd time around you may or may not be a little disappointed in what you thought it was about from a perspective from the time you read it; however this is still a cathartic and beautiful tale of love and world-hopping. So worth the read and this stays on my reading list: "Good to read again".

It's an alright QT is about all I can say. While writing this review I've already forgotten most of it, even going back to re read sections doesn't remind me of much which shows how generic and forgettable it is. It's okay as something to read to fill the time.

Oh wow! What a pleasant surprise, this has been rotting on my reading list since time immemorial. MC is good and has mature and smart thinking, ML is your same 'ol powerful, possessive figure (but I eat it up everytime). This is on the same level as QWFOD for me. It's an enjoyable read.

The arcs were good and cute to read! After the first arc (which was a kinda eh read), it was good! Though the interstellar arc (last arc) also fell short, the romance was slapped in your face... more>> instantly that it was kinda cringey and the mini antagonist was just there. I feel like they rushed it in order to write the main world.

The main world was quite good though, kept me tense and on my toes. The QT then was explained so beautifully. I recommend it! <<less

In every chapters and arcs, I didn't get bored even a millisecond while reading this! It was one of the unique and awesome qt novel that I've read. I like the plot, the mysteries, and the twist! Gaah love the twist so muuch! I'm one of those readers who didn't reread stories much because I easily remembered the flow of a novel and will soon become bored, but boy!! I really think that I'll reread this novel a lot in the future.

What I really love the most is how they... more>> love each other. They will do anything they can to see and get revenge for each other. And of course I especially love the twist (I know I've this a lot of times but I just love love love iiit~!!) The twist is so out of this world and mind blowing 🤯 and this is the reason why I considered this as unique. 💖 <<less

All of the arc have someone who is s*upid! It really made me think if their decision is subconscious or they are really s*upid. Well, their s*upidity has a reason so it's fine. If their not s*upid the story won't progress after all.

The QT looked like it haven't any purpose for the story but the reason of QT is to save/collect the soul of ML that was split into multiple worlds.

ML is the system. He was weak because his soul was split that was why MC entered the worlds to... more>> save/collect it. The twist was, MC and ML knew each other way back before. Their story is full of love but painful road.

It's really great but for me the last part was quite a mess. It's base on my view okay. <<less

Okay, this novel is great, I love it. It was like the title said a golden thigh holding story. Where the MC relied on the ML (not entirely) to complete his mission. Later on it became just an excuse the MC is also smart. The back story of the couple was really surprising. There are some flaw but I don't like to dwell on such thing as long as there not so obviously affecting my enjoyment. I highly recommend this novel.

A good read! It’s a Single-dog torture novel LOLOL I just finished reading FOD and wanted to try out another quick transmigration novel. This one ended up being a pretty good choice! It’s similar, but more romance focused.

CHARACTERS: 8/10

To me, the characters were likable but average! I think there could have been more complexity in them, especially because of the main plot... but in the end, I found the main CP charming enough and the MC at least has a pretty interesting development~

The apathetic MC who has been invited by a “Master” that willingly gives him another chance at life in exchange for completing tasks in other worlds. He’s plenty cold at first and appears perfectly uncaring. However, that changes as he travels from world to world.

ML

The ML’s name is a bit of a spoiler so I’ll hold off on that! Basic details is that the ML is a soul that the MC consistently runs into while completing tasks in those other worlds. He doesn’t retain the memory of their trips but his soul resonates strongly with the MC’s!

ROMANCE: 8/10

I like this romance because it starts off cold but ends off extremely warm. This is a shameless CP through and through and I can’t help but find them hilarious 😂 The dynamics are pretty average (Shou!MC and Gong!ML) and the pacing fast (as is expected from a QT novel), but it ends up being a pretty fun ride!

SETTING: 8.5/10

As a QT novel, the setting for this novel is quite broad. The worldbuilding is pretty good in the different arcs, with plenty of fun elements thrown in to make the transmigration more interesting than your average QT. Anyway, I think that it’s worth reading this novel for the setting alone!

PLOT: 8/10

The main plot is MC taking on tasks from a mysterious “Master” that allows him to directly transfer into the bodies of other people. As for the tasks themselves, they all have to do with fulfilling the wishes of the original hosts. In the midst of the different arcs, there’s the expiration of the romance subplot and the usual face-slapping drama! After which, the mysterious identity of everyone is revealed.

RATING: 4/5

Although not my favorite, I like this story because it had a strict endpoint and was relatively short besides. Because of this, I didn’t have the urge to stop reading till near the end (which is pretty good! Since I tend to not finish QT novels). I recommend reading it if you’re looking for something relatively simple. It’s a pretty straightforward feel-good story most of the time with hints of mystery because of the hidden backgrounds of everyone.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:

  • Personal Enjoyment: Pretty good! It’s not the most engaging novel out there, but it’s still pretty fun to read (4/5).
  • Literary Level: I think it’s a bit clumsy at times. Especially when it came to the plot development in certain arcs and the character settings. However, in my opinion, the length was perfect and it ended well (4/5)
  • Heat Level: This is a clean novel! No smut at all. The most the characters do on screen is kiss (with some heavy petting), everything else is slipped. Oh but, there are some pretty questionable s*xual themes here! So be careful. (1/5)

The characters are cardboard cut-outs, especially every villain who the main protagonist is the target of revenge.

There's chemistry to the MC and ML, but their interactions are told through the author's words instead of being shown through the characters, making their personalities bland and stereotypical.

The story's pacing and execution aren't well done and the dynamic of the main cast towards each world they go through, feels static and boxed.

What I mean by this, is that the beginning is fine, but the in-betweens have fillers and the ending is rushed. It... more>> is safe to say this isn't a serious plot.

What really annoyed me to the point of making the rating a 2 star was, I repeat from my previous statement, how the author only tells us about the characters interactions instead of showing it. This is very obvious when it comes to the interactions of the protagonists.

There were also remarks that threw me off guard, like how every female character were described to be weak or they're not supposed to like a certain hobby or profession cause it's not girly enough. It also sounded like it's the author's own point of view (from reading the raws). My first review of this was really emotional for me so I had to edit that part out.

But in regards to whether the author is being sexist isn't something I'll comment on further. (Just talking about it might make me annoyed again)

All I have to say to the author is please don't force your views on the characters, if your'e going to write a story. Make the character have their own perspective. Show us how you write that perspective instead of telling us what they wouldn't like or dislike. <<less

It's a nice read I'm rating it 5/5 stars.

Plot Development – 10/5!! I like the flow and pace it has. Starting from the arcs and to ending, it's simply magnificent and smooth.

Character Design – 5/5. It's nice, the main character really developed well. Fortunately the scene was not fully detailed because it's painful to read how much he'd gone thru.

World Background – 5/5. It's okay since the focus of the novel is clearing out the grievances of the original host. But don't worry the settings was clearly said every time... more>> the arcs' begin.

Translation Quality – 8/5, they're nice!! The two translation site did a good job! Thank you, Peony Novel TL and Chrysanthemum Garden!! ♡ Wring Quality – 7/5, I quite liked how the Author did the pacing and flow of the novel.

The novel was like QWTFOTD and if you like that novel, you'll also like this one.

I've completed it and IT'S SO FREAKING GOODDDD! One of the best QT out there! If you're looking for quality QT look no further! This is the one for you.

The main premise of each world is to help the original host fulfill their dying wish. It's not some nonsense where the romance is the main focus. There is face slapping and quick thinking in each world which is SO FREAKING GOOD! Some of the arcs are tear jerking too so very prepared!

There is one big thingy thingy about hidden identities... more>> and blablala that sort of thingy which is also good

I enjoyed this BL world-hopping story.

It's not the best one I've read, but I enjoyed the main character and his growth as he continued traveling.

The only reason why it's not a 5 star is because I felt the story ended too quickly--the last arc (an interstellar one) too conveniently timed to bring about the end of his travels.

Also, as in some of these "quick-wear" novels, there were a few things that could've been expanded on:

    1. What force, e.g., destiny? Was behind the ML accidently choosing one of the MC's incarnations to help him?
    1. What exactly was the ML's plan?
      How was he able to escape his prison enough to do it?
    1. What was the ML's reaction to the first few times his incarnation fell in love with the MC?
    1. As a puppet, why didn't the MC have a soul?
      (Maybe this is something I don't know/can't understand, because of cultural reasons/cosmology issues?)
    1. How, when, why did the MC's "creator" fall in love w/ him?
    1. How did the MC's version of the Phoenix spell cast by his "creator" differ from it's intended use?
      (This could be something I missed in the last few chapters.)

      Also, who sealed off the Interstellar World--was it the MC's creator once he figured out his plan or an accident?

    1. What is the ML's 7th realm like and/or how is their life together now that the conflict is resolved?
      (Do they have/adopt any children?

      Will the Demon Realm rise again?)

Essentially, I wanted a bit more depth at the end to tie all the narrative threads together.

This is a common problem in the genre.

"Holding Onto My Man" has a more complete ending/overarching plot than other such stories, yet I still wanted a little more explanation.

Sorry, not sorry, I love long, thorough denouements.
