Almost over with this work of art.

I’ve never written a review before, but I have considered that this novel was worthy enough for me to try my best.

Honestly, I do not reckon which one of you said that Renato was a weak character, I have never read someone as strong as him.

... more>> Usually, in this kind of reincarnation novels, when the MC goes back in time, there isn’t a single problem that they cannot overcome, in contrast, Renato suffers from PTSD, from which he slowly gets better as the novel progresses.

It is so uplifting to see someone, who is obviously suffering not only from the PTSD, but also all the unjustified hate that has come to their way since birth, a hate that had no reason whatsoever, seeing Renato trying to stand up and face a whole life of hunting ghosts... *sighs*

It was simply magnificent, moving and lovely.

I adore Renato’s relationship with Khalid, before and after regression, they are a perfect pair meant to be in each other's embrace.

So everyone wondering if they should read this novel, I certainly loved it, you may think the novel has a simple argument, maybe it is not everyone’s cup of tea, but give it a try, it’s nice and sweet.

Hidden Gem 💎... Really a good story with lovely MC & Supportive Ml💚Author did a very good job, I love how the story goes with MC's courageous development and how he did everything for his loved ones and Ml, 😍🤩 ohh my godd Khalid... Such a Green Planet he is✨...I love how he helps MC in treating his trauma and gave his support in whatever MC wants to do🩷... Thank you for the Amazing story and Good translation🤝👍

I really wanted to like this. Interesting premise, alpha x beta, the MC is the one who proposes a contract marriage, ptsd that doesn't get cured just from "love, " and a total green flag alpha ml. But there's just so many plot points that feel obviously forced. The main villains are ridiculously lacking in tact. MC is so easy to put in dangerous situations like he breathes damsel in distress. Dialogue is awkward sometimes too.

The author seems confused in writing a western fantasy x omegaverse x palace/political drama. It's... more>> one of those situations where you chase too many rabbits and get none right.

As just a romance it's decent, but a lot of the novel is centered around palace drama. It's supposed to be a western (ie european) royal family drama too but the author seems to have very shallow knowledge of royalty in western civilizations. It reads like an ancient china, convoluted palace drama with no concubines. The only concubine died right away.

As a western fantasy there were mentions of elves and a dwarf but they hardly exist in the entire story. Like why even put these elements in?? Just to give justification for fairy blood in the MC so he can have silver hair and purple eyes cause that looks cool? Very juvenile writing.

Even the whole omegaverse part is not well done. MC is a beta so he's super hated, tortured and ab*sed despite being the first born prince, just because alphas are the best, but the Empire's army is so weak they need ml's kingdom to essentially be their army against other nations??? Then why do you need alphas if your army sucks anyway? I mean it's refreshing to see a novel where omegas aren't bottom rung, but then to try to put betas as replacements for the more typical omega treatment is just weak writing.

The author tried to explain that male betas x male alphas can't give birth, and male beta x omega can't birth alphas so male betas are useless. But there's female alphas so what's the problem? Why can't the male beta just get with a female alpha and have potential alpha kids? Author didn't think it through.

Anyway I was very unsatisfied when reading this novel. It was also quite tiresome to read. One of my pet peeves is when important side characters have no life outside MC or ml. Like they only exist for the mc/ML and have no development otherwise. This novel is full of that. <<less

Green Flag ML. Moderately smart MC. MC isn't super smart or anything, but he learned from his past mistakes and tried his best to change his future and save people who are important to him, instead of waiting like he did in previous life. I like how MC isn't somewhat suddenly could change his demeanor just because he was killed. He is still scaredycat but he tries his best to change as better person. He also has this PTSD from being killed. I actually hope this story is getting a... more>> mahwa adaptation instead the other novel. <<less

very mixed feelings after getting to side story ch57... MC basically manifests as an omega as in he magically grows a womb and has a scent. after the entire story based on the discrimination he faced because he was born a beta it feels so pointless that he can apparently only be truly happy after miraculously becoming an omega. it kinda feels like confirmation that he was inferior as a beta after all. and yay now he can get pregnant thanks to the fairy king's miracle wish granting.. it kinda ruined the whole story for me. s**ked even more reading to the end and seeing MC feel disappointed at the thought of one of his twins being a beta.

i like the characters and find the plot engaging but it's increasingly difficult to keep enjoying it when every s*x scene has MC resisting, saying "it hurts" and "please stop". despite the fact that it's supposedly just because sensitive and not actually in pain or opposed to what they're doing, ML also always apologises for losing control and taking things too far yet the next time it's the exact same scenario.

idk what's wrong with wrong with so many bl authors that there's such an epidemic of dub/noncon vibes in s*x scenes, is it a crime for s*x to be mutually enjoyable and actually written that way? ML in this is great in pretty much every other way then it comes to s*x and he's a cliche bl top which I hate more and more as it happens again and again.

what frustrates me the most is in the most recent s*x scene (which is a rinse and repeat of this tired bl cliche) the author briefly mentions that MC was actually actively participating, saying he "sometimes clung to the man first or climbed onto his body and whined for more embraces". yet the focus of the scene was just the same old resisting, crying MC and ML saying things like "tonight I won't stop even if you cry or say it hurts"

i feel all my enjoyment of everything else about the story getting sapped away whenever a new s*x scene comes up

sidenote: ML in the novel illustrations is so much uglier than the manhwa, glad I formed my mental image by reading the manhwa first <<less

The novel started off fine at first but it got annoying with "Arc VIII. The Prince's Agony". It has 27 chapters, I'm 10 chapters in and finding the melodrama annoying.

MC realizes that he's in love with ML and is filled with angst. He's unsure how to face ML cause he doesn't know how ML feels about him. Then MC meets ML's female subordinate that ML was rumored to have a romantic relationship with in his past life. But in the past life, ML didn't even get with her. ML had become king of his country and sent a letter to MC's country to ask to marry MC. The new emperor of MC's country (who was obsessed with MC) became unhinged by the proposal and killed MC.

I can understand having doubt and anxiety about certain things but feeling guilty about a rumored relationship that didn't even develop in the past life is just finding something to make yourself suffer unreasonably. It's too senseless for me to relate.

I like that MC is trying to change and become stronger to protect his people and I agree that it's okay to cry when you're feeling sad or hurt. However, this MC cries a lot. He even cries when ML kisses him. MC's inner turmoil is too tiresome/unappealing to continue reading.

As of Chapter 136, MC and ML agree on a three year marriage contract. ML will protect MC's younger brother and in return ML will get a port for shipping, land for food growth, and help with the awkward relationship with his sister. ML's sister is now ruler of a country but she has become suspicious of ML. This has hurt ML's feelings, so MC said he could offer ML a position/way to fix it.

MC and ML had gone to ML's country to be engaged. They are about to head back to MC's country.

It's not perfect but it's a nice story, I would honestly rate it 4.5? One thing I have to say it that I love the character sm, definitely our cutie and pitiful Renato and our very much lusty Khalid lol. BUT the pacing is actually a bit slow for me (i had to just skim near the end cause things weren't really 'giving' anymore and I still got to understand the gist of it)

First of all, idk if this is a spoiler but ---the prologue didnt happen until 200+... more>> chapter so it would literally take a while also for mpreg tag

also, I read from the TL's note that there won't be 18+ scenes in main story but there are actually many scenes of them being like *that* but just not too detailed but still more detailed than the others and I was actually surprised by how long and how many there were lol, I got a bit tired of it cause like I said it isnt really very detailed but it's still very long haahhah

I'm annoyed with the MC. I know he's traumatized and all this sh*t but damn get a grip boy!

He always have this trait to be stricken when faced with traumatic stimulus! Find someone who hurt him from the past and he become a weakling who'll be close to passing out, he'd shake and incapable of helping himself. It happened a lot!

What I hate is when they are attacked by enemies and his single guard was fighting for their lives, all he did was stood there, struck and getting traumatized. I... more>> know it's hard but boy you're risking not just your life but the life you promised now to protect. If not for the ML coming to save him, then he'll probably be dead.

His growth is so slow. He had died once and once was tortured. He lived ostracized and hurt all his life but he never learned from it!!! Even the death of his loved ones only made him more have courage, he was still so very weak in character. His growth was crawling in a tiny pace that I can't expect him to held up his fate in his hand confidently.

I don't hate his character design. It was fleshed out. It was just a character that does not bring faith from the readers, or at least from me.

Maybe it was because I also experienced traumatic experience before but damn how much I crawled out from that and didn't cower. It was a case of hating the steel for not being iron. If I can do that, why can't you!?

I know everyone is different, but it's really hard to like someone who could not stand for themselves when the situation needs it to. In this world, there's no one who will help you more more than yourself. If you can't be that for yourself, then you're a lost cause.

I'm still going to read it, but this is a strike one for me, if ever he didn't reflect or grow out from this event, then I'm gonna drop it and minus a star. It's hard to root for a character, especially for an MC, who you look down to.

Update Chapter 100:

The MC is still weak but at least they addressed his PTSD well so I kinda understand more his reactions, but he is still weak.

I realize why I don't like the MC despite how I don't have problem with reading weak MC. I have read MC's before that is sickly, unable to walk, disabled and could die just from the blow of the wind, but I never have problems with them.

They are weak in body just like the MC in this story, but unlike them, the MC here is also weak inside and psychologically. Those MC despite how weak their bodies are, they were not weak-willed, they have independent personality, and able to fight using their brains. This one was not.

He was really weak. It was annoying already how he's so weak in his body, he was also not that strong willed. Despite his convictions, it took him one lifetime where every year and then someone from his life was mu*dered, to learn how to fight.

If he had even have a little fighting will in his past life, then I felt all those tregedies he experienced would be avoided.

Then in this new life, he could not do anything without the help of others. He was weak in character. He had a lot of growth to experienced but I just can't care. Because the story was also very SLOW!

It's chapter 100 now and almost half of the book, but damn just got engaged. Like wtf, will I only read the prologue part when I reached the later part of the story.

I know it was a healing story, but it was so slow. It was not interesting to me. And maybe because I'm in the psychology field, and have faced a lot of people with mental problems, that the MC's case did not illicit enough compassion for me. It was tough what he experienced, but sometimes, it's not just the problem of the environment, its also a me problem.

The healing part hardly interest me, there techniques felt lacking to me. I would have to suspend my belief in some areas to continue reading it, and I did, just to ignore how they treated PTSD. It wasn't bad, it was decent at least. But some of it were illogical and in my head I can come up with various treatments for it. Thus is did not interest me.

The romance too. The MC and ML, especially their lines were similar in vibes. They did not feel like distinct characters. The romance journey would have been effective to me if it was a little faster.

I expected them to be married already by chapter 10 at the latest, as it was what was written in the blurb. I thought it was already a done deal and the story would be when they are already married, but I waited chapter 100 and they were just engage, it would take another arc for it to get to wedding arc. I just can't continue going on with the pace. Every other minor plots lodge in the middle of it felt like a drag, I was forcefully forcing myself to read it, until I can't take it anymore.

None of what I expected from the book where in here. Though I don't mind the path the author taken, babe I love 'Lucia', she was a weak woman but a strong willed person, and I thought with the atleast similar genre between the two, I would enjoy this, but I only kept forcing myself not to sleep.

Thus it was still a three star, and that itself was me being generous.

PS. Bdw I don't read reviews before reading a book when their ratings are high cause I don't want to be spoiled. So don't blame me if I was not aware of what this book really is. The author did not warned me and the TL also did not. I remember the TL put a link to the character guide, but who reads character guide? I don't, cause that's a sure way to be spoiled. IT WAS ALSO NOT IN THE TAGS. Anyway, I rate books base on how they are enjoyable to me and no excuse about 'because this is not this.../ You should not read this if you're looking for...' could stop me from rating this in my way. <<less

I admit this novel is good. The MC and ML relationship is chef kiss.. Love how the author keep the MC as a beta in the whole story, no second differentiate.

And love how they bring down the bad guys little by little.

Just when the rut episode come it's too rough for me, the ML being poison by catalyst rut so hes rut is violent at that time, and MC being the descendents of fairy king so he won't have so much damage after having interc**rse with the ML. MC are willing btw.

Finally another story I absolutely love! Omegaverse and historical well written!

Thank you so much for the translation!

The characters development is my favourite part. Renato's will, to protect no matter what his precious ones the second time, made me want to hug and support him, you feel he is trying his best. When he does one of his speeches, you want to follow him, such a pure soul, you can picture him sitting there with a strong resolute aura around him.

Khalid is the perfect companion for Renato, caring, protective, supportive and... more>> an incredible knight. Noone can touch his man. They will do everything to make the other one happy and safe. I love the way they talk and finally communicate, opening their hearts, reassuring their companion, such a fresh air.

The past is sad and drammatic but this new opportunity will show the true potential of them as a single and a couple.

You can't miss the story of Renato and Khalid! <<less

I wasn't expecting too much while I read all reviews. I was looking for a revenge story and the review were more about the fluffy relationship and the character development, so I start expecting something a bit sappy maybe...

Well, it was anything except sappy.

First of all the translation was top tier. It was a joy to find.

Second, yes the story is really about character development and healing from heavy trauma. I really appreciated how Renato who went back in time to avoid the "future" he lived, have to change and... more>> also receive help of people around him to heal himself. Because shit, he suffered a lot. And we don't avoid this, we don't avoid the need to have professional help, we talk about PTSD and all this. And it's sad, and touching. So for me it's more of a healing story than a revenge story... even if the bad guys are punished for their mayhem.

Third, it's a looong and slow romance. But it's cute. And well balanced. Full of green forest.

I'm currently on the side stories, and sadly I'm getting a bit bored with the smut and all. It's not because it's bad, it's more that the plot is not really driven by anything else than the fluffyness (I'm not yet to the child part) so I have a hard time focusing for now.

The love between him and Khalid and the love between Khalid and Rénato is incredibly strong. It's a story that moved me and made me go through various emotions. And damn it, Khalid and Rénato deserved this happy ending! <<less

Omg this is a masterpiece.

The story is super sweet and heartbreaking at times. I love the MC and ml. The plot and overall story flowed super well and was enjoyable. It is literally perfect but it was a bit simple and basic. Side characters were cute and the villains were terrible but I pitied some of them.

One of the things are really enjoyed was that the MC mental health was considered and taken seriously. He grows as a character and a person, learning from his past and mistakes. I loved... more>> all the healing and emotional parts. Also the ML was such a green flag. <<less
