The translator is good, but the story is very much in the vein of 'long-suffering woman lets man with anger issues ab*se, borderline r*pe, and insult her until he realizes she's not an evil sl*t and starts treating her like a human being.' I'm assuming that last bit, BTW, because the story is still in the 'long-suffering' part.

And, yes, I do get that the setting is one where she has no choice and is simply trying to have a better life. This makes it seem less a romance and more... more>> an instruction manual on how to live abusive marriage in a culture without equal rights. <<less

rapes his wife, the MC, over a mild understanding. Using a whip, dog collar, corporeal punishment, and shaming.

She is crying the entire time and asking him to stop, and he pulls all of that "your body is reacting, so you must secretly like this" abusive BS.

He has already proven she was a virg*n the ONE previous time they had s*x, literally the day before this (during which she bled an alarming amount), yet he is convinced she is a raging wh*re he must punish.

If she were not a reborn MC, this would be her second time having s*x, ever, and he is treating her this way.

He does not follow any safe BD*M practices and his goal is to hurt her and he feels good and justified in himself for hurting her.

I am no longer interested and he's just gross and brutal in a not-fun or sexy way. It's also exhausting and pitiful to watch the MC do all of the heavy lifting of having to "understand" this poor man-baby, who doesn't try at all. Most of the effort to bridge the gap is on her side, and nearly all of the misunderstanding and abusive behavior are on his.

This is going to become one of those where the only reason our MC doesn't end up being a beaten wife of an abusive rage monster is because she now has a special "power"

Did you notice that most of the one star reviews complaining about the ML being so bad barely read this? Yeah ignore them, especially Khalydor.

The story has the FL travel back to the past with her marriage. Not wanting to go through the same crap with her husband and her family she does her own thing. It's a story filled with layers and misunderstandings as to the FL and the readers find out more. FL isn't weak mentally but sickly. Despite this, she's still a good woman but there's a... more>> lot of misunderstandings. Not as bad as Under the Oak Tree.

Now for the ML, there's a lot of misunderstanding with him too.

Guy never ab*sed his wife. They used to argue but he never hit her. In fact, he took care of her when she was dying. Such ab*se! If you want to say it was psychological/mental ab*se yeah go ahead, but the FL took what she got (she would argue with him too,) so it was bad on both their ends.

ML has PTSD. He has anger issues and problems because he's an illegitimate child. His brother is a spoiled brat He's not going to be fixed overnight, FL finds out and helps him. He has obvious problems that he needs to work on.

ML isn't good I'm not defending him 100%. Almost forces himself on the FL and punches walls. Gets embarrassed because of his complex. But compared to other ML he's working on it so far and it's not just a random excuse.

So far the story is ok but something tells me it's not perfect. If you can handle it go ahead and read it.

I am quite engrossed in this novel.

Pros of the novel

    • The premise of the plot is quite interesting.
    • I started reading for smut, and heck, yeah I am quite satisfied. (* )
    • Translator-san is doing a really great job with their translation.
Can't really find any cons for now. ( )

I really hope my expectations doesn't get ruined later with the plot going really bad.

So far I Love It.

This story is just plain garbage, it's driven by misunderstandings, which in and of itself is not yet too bad if it would be done in moderation. Some enjoy those kind of stories and some don't. But then we get a reincarnated FL that goes and does things which OBVIOUSLY cause misunderstandings again, even though she knows better!

Though I'm sorry for the translator, because the translation is high quality and he does a very good job.

It's just too bad that IMO this story isn't worth your time.

- great translation

- very hot and reading in the summer doesn't help lol

- intriguing

Can't wait to find out how the relationship will develope.

I'll give it a rate after more chapters come out, it updates quite frequently so probably soon enough which adds another good point.

Translator is good. Doesn't hesitate to use the right words to potray what is hapening. (You know what words I meant when its smut)

It starts off with smut. Good smut. The ML has endless stamina lol, but it seems like he is willing to stop if the MC asks to stop the right way. So yes consent for those who are wondering.

Not much about the MC and ML just yet. MC used to be an evil lady and changed for the better in her second life. She is proactive... more>> in changing her life for her better future, so that there is lesser misunderstanding between ML and MC. ML is cold prickly. He uses rough words to MC. The kind that is all bark and no bite. ML has a bit of a self esteem issue hopefully MC will handle that.

So far 5/5, hopefully the story can mantain this rating. <<less

Such a good story, I really love it so far. The translation is perfect, very clear and well writen, I am so thankfull for it.

the ML is a bit extreme but I feel like he will improove a lot once the misunderstanding between him and the FL is resolved, so I can't wait for it. Also he cares for the FL...

The FL on the other side is trying her best to avoid making the same mistakes from her past life and to have a better relationship with the ML. Things... more>> can only improve I guess.

I highly recommend this novel. I really hope the story will maintain this level <<less

I LOVED THIS SERIES SO MUCH YOU DONT KNOWW,

It's quite similar to Lucia actually but without the ML being a playboy. In fact ML was VERY I MEAN VERYY LOYAL to her despite his hatred towards FL's bloodline and her family. It also got some Pride & Prejudice vibess which I also enjoyed. I get that some of you just cant take the frustration reading ML stubbornness and high ego and his character development is a slow burn throughout the story. But trust me, reading this till the end... more>> of the story is WORTH IT ! (Iliterallycriedreadingthiswtf) The story isnt fully translated yet (Thank you so much translator nim <3 Really appreciate it) but you can read summary for ch58 and above at the spoiler section (ALSO BIG THANKS to those who summarizes the story in spoiler section <3)

Came for the smut but stayed and cried for the story.

AND NO HE DIDNT R8 FL, READ THE TAGS FFS. He actually stayed loyal to her till the end both in the previous life and the current. I FREAKING CRIED MY EYES OUT AFTER READING HIS POV CUZ IT WAS SO HEART WRENCHING AF

This novel inspires me to stay single forever. The translation is very good they have done a very clever job, it's just the story is full of sh*t.

The ML has misunderstanding that can be desolved by 5 minutes thinking. And he holds on to them for years for gods sake.

It was a mistake to read it, I was depressed because the novel I was reading had no more chapters and went scavenging for novels that had more than 100 chaps. I knew about this and because I knew the trend... more>> of such smut novels I was reluctant. I just momentarily forgot.

It honestly got boring and tedious to me, I just skipped all over the place so if you want you can read it I guess.

It's just I'm not going to make my poor a** suffer like that.

Oh there's marital r*pe 😐. I wish, being a pretty h**ny individual with taste that there were more smut novels with healthy couples. They are hot I tell u. So breathtakingly hot.

Of course I also enjoy passionate love with a little bit of torture on the side but not when it's s*upid. Jesus the ML gave me trauma. Honestly I started loosing interest in him pretty quickly then I lost interest in MC. I'm done y'all.

honestly even the smut was pretty dry, I am not very impressed. Oh also the MC doesn't even know the concept of a personal boundary or need for consent ML too, especially him (oh god😮‍💨). At this rate I'm going to start writing a novel my self. Even if it flops it won't give me a headache this big. <<less

So far misunderstanding is the main souce of conflict of this story. It's kind of intriguing and made me want to read more. The FL is a kindhearted person and the ML, altough has a difficult personality but I think he is just a tsundere. Some spoilers also indicated that ML is not a bad person.

These kind of stories where misunderstanding happened always demand a lot of patience from readers. It takes time for the characters to resolve their problem, so please don't make judgement and assumptions when you're barely... more>> even reach chapter 10 in the story.

Some already updated chapters already gives us some kind of background why the misunderstanding happened in the first place.

My rating may changed as the story progessed. So far so good. <<less

The smut itself is WOW. Amazing. Some of the hottest writing I've ever had to luck to find. Beast is definitely the proper word for the ML and... I'd move mountains to get my hands on him. Personal preference.

The ML in the beginning is like the most extreme version of tsundere, confused about his feelings and pouring out hatred in spite of his unexplainable attraction. There's no noncon, but it can give those vibes at first. He hides his concern like some kinda ninja. He has zero communication skills and... more>> it bites him hard after he starts to put everything together. Definitely heavy regret and yandere vibes while he tries to cling to the FL. He's angry and ignorant and emotionally immature at first, but not evil.

The FL starts off acting like she's some kind of sacrificial lamb and doesn't try as hard as she should to clarify the real situation. The ML doesn't make it easy, but she had her own hand in it. She also has trouble understanding, communicating, and absolutely has a part in things being misunderstood. She throws a constant pity party for herself and understands why the ML feels the way he does... and has minimal intention to go "hey, by the way, let's turn our brains on and speak for a few minutes".

The plot is decent enough to keep a reader's interest, but the primary romance and smut is what makes the story. <<less

Highly recommended novel.

By far, I love the character development of Rafael. You might not like his character at the beginning but trust me, his redemption arc will be so satisfying. The process might be a slow burn but it was appropriate to how he was raised. On the other hand, Annette is an interesting character. She is ready to speak what's on her mind and once she loves something or someone, she devotes her whole self to it while still reserving her self-worth and self-respect. She knows what she deserves... more>> and take action to achieve it.

The conflicts are well-supported by their back stories, although majority is because of miscommunication and misunderstandings. <<less

The plot is about misunderstandings they have between each other, but instead of the usual just don't care to even talk about it or try to clear it up type of misunderstanding, it has more backing to why the misunderstand each other. MC actively tries to make the ML understand that what happened wasn't true and ML at least acknowledge the fact that some of what happened might not be true.

ML dislikes the the MC at first because her family did something to him. MC disliked ML in the past because she thought it wasn't fair how he treated her, in her 2nd life she realizes it was her family's fault and that they had given up on her.

the character's are good. The translation is good. ML may seem a bit terrible at first but he has his own reasons, and would stop if the MC actually asked him to. Kinda tsundere. Has PTSD from the war.

MC is just someone who didn't realize how bad her family was in her first life. Tries to make sure that they can clear there misunderstandings up.

the way the MC has handled the misunderstandings makes it clear that she understands it can't all be cleared at once by what she says or even does. She tries to steadily clear up misunderstandings that happen between them and is considerate to how the ML feels. <<less

I like the story. The whole plot is based on misunderstandings, but it's not like it started because they didn't get the obvious. The misunderstandings look reasonable, but could have been avoided through conversations.

The characters are nice as well and I'm looking forward to their relationship.
