This may be one of the most disjointed, difficult-to-read novels I've ever read. Not difficult to read because it's doing anything complicated. In truth it's a very trite and generic story. No, it's difficult to read because the author does not know how to write. There is no flow, no setting the scene, random details are constantly being introduced in little asides after the fact. Forget about foreshadowing, I would settle for just being able to make it through a scene without one of the author's constant "oh yeah I... more>> forgot to mention an important detail so here it is now" moments.

Story aside (and really it's nothing special) I am baffled that anyone who enjoys reading novels could like this mess. <<less

The MC seems like a humble, hard-working girl, but she'll also stand up for herself when need be. I really like her personality so far.

A basic unfavored child story with some flaws. Fiara is used as a s*ave by her family breaks away the never looks back.

Depending on your preferences the characters and plot may or may not leave you flat. Fiara has about zero personality. Nothing affects her. She doesn't cope with trauma, nor does she appreciate her good fortune. Just a flat character.

The plot is predictable. If you can't guess what's going on from the synopsis, you aren't trying.

The high point is the writing. The author manages to communicate well. The reader... more>> isn't left wondering, where they are, who is speaking, or what is happening. While they aren't Shakespeare the writer does manage a competent job of assembling prose.

I won't rehash what other people have already written, but add that this story feels poorly written in that usually, non-main characters have two sort of endings; either their screen time is sort and closure quickly occurs, or they represent an alternative view of the story....

because of the above point, you may as well also view the side stories (or "other stories") as the author's attempt to cover up a lack of firm plot line - hard to score this anything but below average...

PS, I might add that there is a manga version of this hanging around on one or more manga sites, but I honestly feel whichever manga author took up the project got the raw end of the deal, let's hope his version of this LN/WN doesn't cause a huge hit to his future career in the manga industry.... <<less

It is a bit all over the place, but overall not bad - just get used to random pov shifts and change of subject out of the blue. MC is cute and hardworking, ML is also obvious from the start - a bit of angst and drama, but episodic. I liked it!
