I don’t leave the corner of my room, yet I fell into a novel while reading it, saying it was no fun.
I became Flotty Bevenia, an extra villain who is killed by Grand Duke Noctis, the main character in the novel!
I’ve made up my mind to survive without a hitch.

“Did you sleep well, wife?”
“How long are you going to try to intimidate me?”
I’m so upset that I can’t hold it in.

The Grand Duke who tried to kill me is a little weird?
I just want to get out of this boring novel!
A special survival story of a woman who is not special.

***

“You should be careful. I wonder what’s wrong, but she’s very angry.”
“W, what are you talking about?”
“Oh, you didn’t know. The daughter, who died unfairly because of madam, is aiming for madam.”
At my cold words, the laughter of the ladies, who had mocked me and laughed, stopped.
“Oh, was this a secret?”
I smiled as if I didn’t know anything.
In a cheerful manner.

I don't understand the other reviewers, at all.

There isn't a proper deux machina nor plot holes. What's here is a god protecting the MC, directly, when there's no other way for her to survive in a situation. That said, once the last reveal happens, it makes total sense that she does things this way.

I think it's fine to explain the reality she was in before. Otherwise, her decision to not come back there wouldn't be as plausible as it is knowing all that.

The plot is built well, and, to be... more>> a rofan, it has an interesting amount of action. Fortunately, it's well balanced between romance and that so it doesn't get tiresome.

In terms of characterization, the extras don't amount to much, they just help when needed, which is common so I don't care.

The antagonists are annoying, personality-wise, so it's satisfying when they get defeated.

Although I like the MC as a person, she's too impulsive. Some things would be avoided or mitigated if only she used her brain a bit more before reacting. It isn't to a point where it's annoying though.

As for the ml... he's cold to everyone and uses his brain more than the MC. However, he overreacts emotionally when it's about her, which brings another set of avoidable issues to the table.

I don't consider him a red flag because ultimately, she doesn't care about him being overprotective nor he actually oversteps when she says a firm no. Red flag, to me, most importantly is about consent, we do get that here.

He may act forceful to people as an emperor (which by the way considering the setting is actually fine by those standards), but he doesn't go beyond stubborn with the MC, nor the citizens suffer because of the decisions he takes as a leader.

About the matter of her reputation and so forth affecting some situations in the plot... I guess the reviewer has no experience about what rumours do to people so I rather explain it.

They make a difference even on an individual and a little group of people. They get exponentially more dangerous when they're about a public figure.

Being a noble or an empresss, is worse than being a president or a prime minister in our reality in terms of the effect of public opinion.

That's because the amount of power they wield is directly proportional to people's satisfaction, as they're the face for everything, unlike contemporary times when the power is a bit more divided (at least on the surface...).

Just look at history, the effect of rebellions on those ruling classes is immense. All starts with the masses knowing about something they don't want/like being done to them. Masses don't care if it's a rumour or not before they rise.

History is crystal clear about that. Even if the truth is learned later, the damage is already done.

So, going back to the plot here, it's not irrational that public opinion affected things like that. Nor it's weird how information and rumours get silenced later because that's how power works.

The romance takes a while to blossom, although he realizes pretty early, she doesn't. I believe it's because she's clueless about romance and bad at managing her own emotions. That said, it's mostly fun to read.

The translation is good and I appreciate the notes explaining about why some terms were chosen.

I think I would re-read this at some point.

I like the artwork too, it's kind of funny considering the last arc. <<less

Cannot recommend this to anyone, the plotholes and deus ex machina plothole generator ruins the start.

If you do start this, I recommend starting from ch6 onward to avoid frustrating plotpoints that completely tear apart the story at least for me.

Spoiler

we start, as always with annoying ghost grandma/grandpa who is total bastard, who for some reason acts as if the MC kills puppies just by existing, yet forcibly entangles with the MC.

They generate so many plotholes at the start that I was decided to drop this and never look back, including:

1. I need to bind with you or you die you lazy bastard tr*sh

2. I who needs you as my vessel put you in body of someone who does if you don't bind with me, time to go ogle pretty boys :------Ddd

3. *MC about to be executed by the ML who clearly hates her just because* suddenly changes to "I will marry her" in span of one paragraph because MC decides to call the ghost, who she hates to death btw, and she hates it for a reason too.

4. The forcibly started romance continues as if the ML didn't just try to execute the MC. (If you skip the first 6 chapters and imagine your own prologue, this might be more believable.)

Go read it.

Quite interesting, it has an actual balanced between romance and action. Frankly I don't know how the author did it, but it's very impressive. It's still very early on, but it looks promising since the characters are constant, interesting worldbuilding, and somewhat acceptable/decent plot. In that regard, it does seem remarkably average, but it does everything correctly, which is a first for me. Tbh, I am kinda scared that the author will fail with the characterization, and it will soon become characters who are their traits/titles, and that... more>> usually happens around chapter 40. I hope not

The chapters are also very easy to read, and the translation is very well done. <<less

Super boring, fast paced story. Premise is great. Details are lacking. So many plot holes, and things just aren't explained properly. ML is a red flag at first, then turns green. FL is like those whiny "I didn't ask for this" heroines and is an interesting mix of crybaby and Mary Sue. It's like Wattpad but far less world building.

Story was "okay" at first, got a bit interesting and suspenseful when the real villains were introduced. And then became annoying.

Story dragged on so much. It's like the villains kept attacking them so they have to fix each crisis at a time. And sometimes the crisis dont even make sense? Or the fix isnt even realistic?

Spoiler

once she was labeled in the oracle as the bane of mankind and the fix was to break her out of prison, kill the head priest and then tell everyone that the priest was a follower of the evil god. It was true but ???? Her reputation was so bad that everyone just believed that??

[collapse]

each crisis was solved okay but they dont do anything about the actual problem so it was getting annoying

then the last act ALSO doesnt make sense then she suddenly has amnesia and forgets about the whole story. Dfuq <<less
