This was a short, sweet, fluffy novel

The main couple actually communicated! It was so refreshing when the ML and FL asking each other how they felt about each other and then having an actual conversation about it

No dog blood, few misunderstandings, and a satisfying ending

Translations are very well done.

Cute story for a one time quick read. There's no dramatic tension or twists.

The FL is honest up front. She freely admits she falls for the ML's body, looks, & wealth first. This seems reasonably realistic. I did like this characteristic about her. In addition, it's also understandable that she has trust issues in the ML because she knows she is not the real female heroine in the novel she's transmigrated into. She's an unknown character in the plot. Shouldn't she leave the ML to the... more>> main heroine? Can she love the ML on borrowed time? When will the ML hook up with the novel's true heroine? It's an interesting topic.

The ML's grandfather is probably the best character in the story. What he says is also on point. Why hand over the one you love to someone else? How do you trust they are the best for them? Shouldn't you trust yourself the most and believe you are the best for that person?

The overall story is kept light, even the smut, so it doesn't leave much of a long lasting impression. The romance is between 2 mature adults that act like kids, which is amusing but doesn't really capture me as a reader that much. <<less

Its actually very light, very sweet but is so predictable and the. But the feelings between main cp was too abrupt that it felt a bit fake. MC was too white lotus and ML is too, eh. He's actually pretty mediocre. Literally so abrupt, but maybe its bc it only has a few chapters but still... Literal no brain, head empty, a bit too much no brain though.

So, I ran into this novel out of boredom. When reading the description, it looks to me that it would be a fluffy romance so I read it. And it didn't disappoint me although it doesn't have many fluffy scene it wasn't too much angst. Of course the smut was a bonus.

So, what I like about this novel is that it's not the kind of transmigration story wherein MC transmigrate in this certain character but the MC, herself, transmigrate and became a part in that world.

Also, I was happy for... more>> the villainess in the novel where the MC transmigrated in. The villainess really suffer in the story and I feel like her whole life was meant for her to suffer just so the OG FL could have someone to be comepare with. Anyways, so happy for her that she didn't have to suffer so much difficulty as in the novel.

And I feel like the ML really love the MC especially when the MC tells us that the ML in the novel was different to our ML. That's why when the author shows what happens to the ML (in parallel universe) wherein the OG FL and him divorced it confirmed my theory.

And now, I'm curious how would the love story of the First world ML and MC would go. <<less

2.5 nothing overly offensive except that the ML didn't wear a cond*m the first two times or shoot outside. A little rude to say the least.

Compared to other typical bg smut novels, the MC and ML are technically good people. I agree w the person who said it's a naive story. Honestly, the depth is not here but the intention is overall better than other moralless smut bg novels. Tbh the smut is just ok too. I find the plot although not offensive, a half assed typical reincarnation in book... more>> with characters as "actors" that you never see acting, it's kinda boring. So dnf. <<less

***2.5 Fast & Furious Stars***

Rounded up because it's a feel-good, fluffy slice-of-life. But to be honest it's hard for me to like this kind of story because of how superficial it is. There's not much explained in the background outside of the main couple's love story, and even their romance is rather shallow. At 66 super short chapters, it took me a couple of hours to finish this fast and furious cliche love story between a beautiful actress and handsome CEO.

TRANSLATION

Great translation quality, as expected of Foxaholic staff, and it... more>> seems like this is the same translator as another slice-of-life transmigrator contemporary romance, The Female Supporting Character Just Wants a Good Life. Both stories have FLs that transmigrated into a female support character and pursue romances with the original ML. Anywho, there were very few spelling/grammar mistakes and translation flow was pretty good. Special thanks for translating the smut scenes, haha.

GET READY TO GET TOSSED INTO THE STORYLINE

The first chapter already is an info-dump of the FL's situation. She had a previous life (which was not detailed) and then transmigrated into some random no-name character in this novel. Instead of the ogVillainess becoming the ML's lover, the FL takes on that role. He gives her a check to become her lover and she accepts because he's good-looking. Like I said, the story is ratherrr superficial. However, the latter chapters have good conversations about fighting for the ML instead of giving him up to the ogFL which I appreciated.

EXPECT CLICHES EVERYWHERE

There's not an original thought in this novel. The CEO falls in love at first sight when he saw the FL because she was so beautiful. The FL says yes to his offer because he's so handsome. Honestly the FL acted like the typical shoujo-story lead, whining in one paragraph and giggling in the next. She's rather emotional and gives off simultaneous "shy" and "coy" vibes. I wouldn't say she's the best-written, but she's not unlikable. When she remembers how sad the ogVillainess is in the ogNovel, she helps the villainess become a big-star actress. Like I said, the FL also fights for her relationship with the ML and communicates well with him.

The ML is the puppy type who's infatuated with the FL. Love at first sight -> wanting to have s*x with her -> lots of dog food between them. Smut scenes were quick and dirty, and honestly it was hard for me to be invested just because I didn't feel an emotional connection with the main leads. But, your mileage may vary.

Of course, the FL has a golden finger and is not only a talented actress, but good scriptwriter even though she doesn't believe it herself. She's good-looking, well-liked, etc etc. There's not much conflict in this story (seeing as it's so short too lol) and the only thing I can think of is the ogFL being annoying at times. Fear not, the ML never wavers and is a puppy throughout the story.

The bonus chapters made me round this story up to 3 stars:

For a day, the ogML from the ogNovel transmigrated into the body of the ML in this novel. Basically they're the same guy but in parallel universes. The FL is sharp and could tell at first hug, lol. Anyway, we find out that the ogML from the ogNovel only married the ogFL as a contract and never fell in love with her. They're about to sign the divorce papers when he transmigrated. He falls in love with our FL before transmigrating back to his story. At the end his life seems pretty lonely/despondent until he finds out his new secretary, from abroad, has the FL's name. So, yay happy ending for him!

Also the FL and ML have a son, and later on a daughter.

OVERALL

I believe it's absolutely possible to write an in-depth love story within a short novel, but this one traded the romantic line's depth with page time for superficial dog food and smut. It's fine if that's what you're looking for (as all the high ratings suggest). But personally as a reader I expect more nuances with my characters and, although I enjoy a good cliche here and there, thought this story couldn't escape them.

TL;DR Read this if you're into:

  • Super quick romantic story with insta-love and flawless characters
  • Sweet CEO personality and supportive family (on the ML's side)
  • Shallow entertainment industry plot (honestly boring at times but at least it's there)
  • Quick smut scenes that, while emotionally lacking, are pretty fire
  • A happily ever after!

It's chill and good read to past time.

The story is typical MC who realized that she's a cannon-fodder of a novel. But I rated this high bc the smut scenes were HOT (LMAO)... Nowadays, it's becoming rare to find BxG smut novel with decent plot.

ML (Fu Ran) was also a cute. He treated FL (Yu Shu) good and dotes on her.

I also liked that female characters didn't try to scheme with each other. MC even helped OG 2nd FL... while OG FL might be annoying but straightforward in her confession.

I think this book was just made by the author in passing and was made probably within few days, so I should not take this seriously. I know that. I entered this book thinking it was one of those books where you just have to turn your brain off but even with that filter, it was still not a pleasant read.

One because it was really an unrealistic book. A lot of the fact inside it would not happen in real world. It was as if the author just made whims... more>> that yes I should involve this plot and this and that, without even stopping and thinking if what they were writing was sound and viable even in fantasy worlds.

There is so much potential with the premise and even with my expectattion so low, the author just go lower than it. Such a waste. <<less

Me after reading the final chapter:...

I thought the story had some bonus chapters tucked in after the extras showed up, but surprise! The next one was actually the finale! 😂

It's like watching a show hit its dramatic peak and then—boom—power outage. Will either leave you speechless or give you a heartburn! The story had a solid setup, but it felt like the author wasn't ready to dive in. Instead, we got a quick tale about handing a check to the main character, but not much else.

That said, it's not all... more>> bad! It's one of those light reads where you can just zone out and enjoy the cuteness of the characters and the story itself.

So, if you're tempted to dive in, go for it! Just be prepared for a bit of whiplash if you're hoping for a tidy ending! <<less

Very awkward writing. Couldn't get into the story with the surroundings or the characters details. This story failed to create an image of the scene. So it was very one sided. Read 5 chapters an can't read on such awkwardness.

A short read and can be enjoyed without thinking much of it.

At most it felt like you are reading a summary of narration (especially some smut scenes). Poor writing by the Author, the flow and the interaction in the story was very childish.

I really enjoyed this story that is light-hearted yet also has some smut scenes. I love the fact that the ML fell at first sight and then went the domineering president route. Yet he’s too shy to go all out initially! Such a pure-hearted boy??? (At first).

This is really a super cute story and I’m glad the alternate version of him might get a happy ending too.

A cute read. Fluffy n sweet. No drama straight romance kinda story. Didnt expect it to have smut when I first read it. But I enjoyed the smut part.

Its a short read, suitable if u want something light to read after a heavy novel.

Nothing much with the plot but cant say its bad.

it's got all the things I want in a CEO romance

    • it has a begining, middle, and end (yes an end!!! Very rare in webnovels)
    • not too long
    • characters are likable
    • made me laugh
    • smut
    • bonus chapters to tie up loose ends
If I could add anything it would be a little more dog-blood drama, but it doesn't need it. The MC is a salted fish type so she's not one to slap anyone. Rather, the ML does the face slapping and shuts down the female love rivals on his own (refreshing!!! And effective). No cliche misunderstanding plots. Just cute relationship slice of life stuff.

what a feel good story! Nothing groundbreaking but it is still so entertaining! The smut is actually more than just missionary (lol).

the story and characters are cliched but done well. And since it's short it doesn't overstay it's welcome.

both characters are new to dating so it is refreshing to see them actually get taught via other characters how to communicate and support each other. So the misunderstandings are actually not there to pad out the story but to show that the characters are learning themselves and each other.

my one complaint... more>> is that their first time was

I really liked it because it's really cute and cliché and I love that kind of thing. The only bad thing is that it was very fast, the chapters were short and small, the plot was kind of rushed, but other than that, I think it was very good.

I... seem to have read this before. But I only noticed somewhere around the end so either my memory is worse than I already knew it was or the novel wasn't that memorable... Maybe, even both...

Nevertheless, I don't have any real complaints. It's a short novel with a common plot and not very strong characters.

The FL is basically a salted fish cinnamon bun as soft as cotton candy and the ideal woman for Chinese men. Sexy but still innocent and pure.

The ML is a bit more interesting in how shy,... more>> flustered and eager he is when faced with the FL. His cold male god persona is all but crumbling when in front of the bunny-like FL. Doting through and through.

So while I, like already mentioned, do not really have any real complaints the novel is missing something that it would have needed to get to the full 5 star rating. Otherwise, it's an okay read. <<less

It's very cute for a smut. The FL is unrelated to the original novel. She's just a passerby but ML fell in love at first sight. It's very short, I think. There's not much smut but they are very vivid.
