To at least extend the time, she began ordering as many materials as she could. That’s when the Knight took a notice of her staple food–a lettuce. For somewhat unknown reason, the Knight began to come and eat as well.

Starring a Hikikomori witch with lettuce as her nutrients source, and the serious yet also arrogant Knight–a romantic tale that started from a Love Potion.

All I can say is I like it. Unless you don't like fluff, I'm pretty sure you will too.

Some aspects are cliche, like why she crushes on him, but given her back story, are believable. Even the misunderstandings are believable.

Have to wait and see about the ending!

It's not that great. The series is enjoyable insomuch that it's light-hearted and can be enjoyed, but this is not the greatest thing since sliced bread nor is it super cute. It's a shoujo love story at heart, and the first "part" of the story is surprisingly fun to read, but eventually you have to realize that the entire premise of the novel is built on two things:

  1. Misunderstandings
  2. The MC being denser than a neutron star
When you factor these in, it becomes clear that the series is neither good nor bad,... more>> but it does become very redundant very quickly since every interaction is based on one of those two occurrences. In addition, if you aren't at least vaguely familiar with the concepts of chivalry and courting, than the scandalous parts of this book seem less so, and the romantic parts seem childish and superficial. Ultimately it's not bad, it's just not good either. This is a "generic medieval romance novel" and there's nothing really else to it. It's good for reading 4-5 chapters before I go to sleep at night, but I don't particularly get the urge to read it during the rest of my free time.

No comments on the translator. They are neither good nor bad, sort of like the novel. Thankfully their commentary is at the end of the chapters, so I can skip over it entirely.

this is so cute and fluffy I can’t STAND IT IM DYING OF DIABETES

the ML is the most chivalrous I've ever seen and he constantly treats the FL with kindness and respect.

it’s not a literary masterpiece but this is an absolute must read I swear to god. The fluff. The FLUFF.

The story is cuuuuute~ It has nice angsty moments too!

The MC is naive, but not a pushover. The ML isn't r*pey and is quite considerate.

The story was predictable and cliche, but it was engaging. I enjoyed how miscommunication was knocked out by the MC and ML quite quickly.

Maybe I just had high expectations because the synopsis seemed interesting, but the story is quite disappointing for me. It's largely due to the fact the story is being told by the Female Lead, who so happens to be very irritating in my opinion. Seeing how others have rated this story high, I'm assuming this is mostly a problem on my side. I just don't like the type of character that is constantly being the damsel in distress or an incompetent person despite being independent for a while. Chapter 26... more>> is where I am at, and she's already be saved physically/mentally by the male lead at least 4 times (one time in the past). I couldn't take it anymore and had to post this review.

Since there are a lot of chapters translated, this may be a problem that is changed in the future, but right now the MC is irritating for me. <<less

Soooo good. A heartwarming fluff piece that would unfreeze any cold jaded heart. At the moment this is just what I need!

Definitely romance focused, the author captures emotions so well. The story pacing and flow feels natural to the point where I was deeply invested in their romance, my feelings fluctuates along with the MC and I can't help but to root for the ML as well.

A slow and steady romance that is sure to end up in a HE. Little to no angst– though you will feel indignant at... more>> how the ignorant villagers mistreat and fear MC due to the fact that she is a witch, but no worries, the ML is here to correct that.

Great world building as well. It's nothing complex, but the story and characters stay true to the setting.

A fairytale of sorts to sooth a wary soul.

Also, shoutout to the translator for her fantastic translation and for choosing such a great project! I laughed way to hard at your every footnote, cos same, I feel you. <<less

This is a heart-warming story about a hikikomori witch and her- well, crush.

The development is just right. It's not too much but it gives you just enough to fluctuate between saying 'awwwwww' and 'KISS HER ALREADY'. Furthermore, the development between the two main characters is adorable but it isn't an intense story; hence the fluffiness.

My only problem is that I wish there was more insight or contribution from the surrounding characters- I feel as though most of them are just catalysts and are expendable. Nevertheless, it's still a very good... more>> read. <<less

props to the translator, her notes were hilarious and the novel was translated really well, which made everything 10x better.

the story was fluffy and cute. The misunderstandings were solved quick enough that there wasnt time to get annoyed. While MC is a bit of a damsel-in-distress, she doesnt turn into a mary sue and retains a multifaceted personality throughout. She also has some cool moments (not forgiving people wronging her instantly, actually having a bit of revenge, etc etc). Main couple also COMMUNICATE it was amazing. It's not perfect, mind you. So if you want to enjoy the story then don't set you're expectations too high. But im giving it a 5 star rating cuz the translation is great and Harij and Roze deserves all of the stars in any rating system.

This story is fluffy and cute. It doesn't shy away from the fact that shes been a hikikomori for 23 years and that she's a witch through and through. Both of these things play a huge part in her personality. Understanding this will help you... more>> understand our FL, I think.

Fluffy McFlufferson - I do adore how the 2 MCs interact with each other. They're so sweet and cute - there is mutual respect, and how the romance is slow is actually written well. They get to know each other, even though our sweet witch fell in love with her knight in shining armor at first sight, but she only loves him more when she gets to know him. To be honest, it was a fluffy and very good read until after they finally got together. After that was a bit too much for me (?). Still worth it, though, so have at it and get that taste of diabetes from the extreme fluff!! :D

Ehhhhh, WHAT THE HELL IT'S TOTALLY CUTE!!!!! It's fluff all over!!! I can't stop smiling!!! I finished this story in one sitting. It's interesting and fun! I don't think you need any spoilers... The first part was enjoyable, the second part not so much. Idk, I very much liked the first part and all, but I think it would have been good if their relationship developed in different ways, like, their interactions in the second part didn't get me jumping like those in the first and in the end I got tired. Maybe it's just because I'm sleepy. But in the end I was having fun while reading it so it's a good read after all. ୧ (＾ 〰 ＾) ୨

Absolutely loved this story. Honestly one of my favorites. It's such a shame it had to end, I really wanted some more, even just an epilogue but sadly there was none. Our main pairing was just so adorable, their interactions and the character development was just perfect. 10/10 would recommend!!

This is "generic medieval shoujo" but well...

Worldbuilding is sort of a mess. I mean, sure I really don't need to be told the ranking between Duke, Marquis, Count, and Baron but it's kind of needed to let first readers into the genre know what they're looking at

The first volume is OK, the second not so much. Obviously with a title like that he's gonna fall for her one way or another. Unfortunately, he fell for her for the same reason girls fall for the hero in shounens: well she's cute... more>> I guess and she treats me differently so I like that.

There's not a lot of development. The characters are largely the same, and the author missed on having heroine grow from a mere witch to a "proper" lady. I liked that part in "Can Someone Explain To Me What's Going On?"

There's not a lot going on, it's sort of slow but the nobility is treated less like nobles and more like rich people in this story, which I also think is a missed opportunity

Still a good enough read for a few chapters before bed <<less

I made a whole NU account just to review this bc its THAT good lol

It's one of the fluffiest fantasy I've read so far and the TL did a great job at conveying the cuteness. The plot is pretty chill like a slice of live style and I'd say theres not much drama and misunderstandings aren't annoying and are solved relatively quickly.

Simple but beautifully executed imo hehehe

Also some reviews say FL is a bit dense and annoying but I've seen worse and to me, it fits with the characterisation as... more>> she literally is raised as a shutin so I don't find it affecting the vibe much weee

I would call this novel enjoyable if I were to simplify it to the most.

The idea is a shunned and (kinda) persecuted witch of the forest lake is a loner and keeps on living just for being alive. And suddenly, one day, her literal knight in shining armor (not the one armor she really likes) comes to her humble door to request a love potion. But she has loved him ever since he was the only one to see her as a living being, treating her with respect even not... more>> in front of her. As someone who had lost all, this little act of respect makes her fall in love with this decent fellow (which is expected, obviously). So she starts to request the ingredients in a feasible attempt to make him keep on coming while making the hard (in more ways than one, read psychologically in her) to made love potion.

This is a simple explanation of the overall initial plot of this novel. You get to see her understanding the fact that he is making a love potion and she is not the target, but at least she gets to say a length farewell for one of the last traces of humanity she has (in the sense of human contact more than her humanity, after all, she is human enough). But this is a love novel so

he is making this to the princess that is in his protection so she can leverage with the king she will be married to, as an interesting development of a decent princess, what can be somewhat rare in those novels. So in the end the knight starts to frequent more and more the witch's home as he develops an interest in the strange and mysterious witch. So he starts to feed her as per usual in shoujo novel with introspected MCs and heals them with apple cakes and sweets. So we end up with him taking a love potion unknowingly just to give some spice and they finally (kinda) confess, more him in the case, but there are some funs to be had even with her resistance. After that, we have more development and some antagonist in the form of the crown prince that is against their marriage and that is half boring but enjoyable nonetheless as the MC develops and gets more confident, with the ML being a decent person that can talk to her like a normal mentally stable human that can talk about feels with their beloved, this must the best part of the novel, with the fact he is not f*cking obsessive, also. The second part is less interesting but enjoyable nonetheless, just gets rushed at one point and has some drama that could, maybe, be resolved with the ML being more direct and decisive, but then the MC would not be developed so nicely in the end. Maybe it is just me wanting some more punishment to the prince that only comes to say sh*t and do s*upidness all over.

So, spoilers apart, the development of the relations and characters is nice and will not leave you with a bad taste. You only get pissed off with 2 characters and one has a nice explanation and perfect resolution.

Long story short, nice development all over with reasonable characters all over. This is nice and has a nice ending, regardless of the blueballs you will get as a reader (you have been warned). Enjoy the sweetness and fluffiness of a witch connecting with people again after a grave case of hikikomoriness. <<less
