The translation is really good, The emotional depth of the characters was skillfully conveyed, with each sentiment placed meticulously, It felt like riding a rollercoaster with the mixtures of worry and anticipation. The blend of angst and thrill throughout the narrative kept me hooked and wanting for more. A perfect novel for readers who like to read a real drama..

HI ! The novel is just your average high school standard work. Purely for those who are just starting out. It just lack too much common sense. The villain is more like loli who is consider number one. Now I am thinking if number one is like this than the rest are just tr*sh. Why being a loli, pe*vert and BrainDead when you were once a powerhouse in that small countryside (i.e. World). Just dropping it here, if any reader (s) have read this and still are on it then... more>> hats off to be such Heavenly Divine BD Readers. <<less

Does Song Soo-yeon count as a Korean tsundere?

As for the story, Dice is a villain who decides to turn over a new leaf after a fatal confrontation with his archenemy, Solace.

... more>> I Became a Villain's Hero is about giving kindness to people who need it the most. People who have been hurt in the past from betrayal from someone they believed could help them in a moment of helplessness.

As a superhero story, this one does not really showcase the nuance of hero worship or hero sponsorship. As a story about being a true hero, this one is written well. I recommend reading it, though I have only read 20 chapters out of 125. It could still go downhill from here. <<less

Huh, its not action packed per say, but, so far a coherent plot as part of a larger overarching one has been progressing nicely each chapter. Characters have clear personalities with their own motivations and thoughts, at least one stereotype is present but it was also given a plausible backstory.

And although MC might seem toothless to others right now but he is actually proving himself to be quite savy, he knows how to win pretty hard without actually trying to punch his way out of everything despite having the power... more>> to do so. Setting has governmental heroes in each nation and he didnt waste any time in barging into their fancy building and causing a public shitstorm for them when it suited his cause of "greater good" which was quite funny. <<less

I hate to say this, but the people who rated it 1 out of 5 is doing crazy stuff, lmao.

The story is pretty good, but the structure is a bit messy.

I understand the readers are looking for a villain story, but since they discover he aint. The development is a meh. I do understand why they rate it 1, lol.

... more>> I will rate it 5 to save its content. The story could hurt the heart of the heartless, and they sees themselves in this drama.

Some readers dont like drama, so they will skip it. But who knows.

The story deserves a score above 4.1, though.

I know some of us will be disappointed, but this is not comedy. <<less

Damn this is good.

It follows the usual world of heroes and villains, grammar is great and I quite like the interactions.

MC is a bit naive or perhaps innocent, which may or may not be a consequence of the regression.

... more>> He is a pushover but not weak? He doesn't rely on his powers anymore but I think it make everything much more intense, at least it's enjoyable for me to constantly wonder if he will be broken again and end as villain.

Chapters are not short but also not extremely long, it took 1 hour to read 9 chapters. <<less

It's fine. Most of it is just a slice of life with too many misunderstandings and a bit of a catfight between heroine 1 and 2. Then later it has some action. I thought that the romance was fine at the start, if with a big of white knight-ing by the MC.

My main gripe is that heroine 1 is constantly messing up things for everyone, and the story does not punish her for it. Yes, we get enough pov's to understand where she's coming from, and I do sympathize, but... more>> the fact is that everyone's life would be better without her.

Heroine 2, which should've been the main one, is probably the best one. It's clear the author had to nerf her with some b*tchiness, otherwise no one would support heroine 1. And also she's the one with the least screen time.

Heroine 3 is fine, but she arrives to the party too late.

At least the story is short and the translation is decent, so it's an OK read. I much prefer what I read of the author's other work, Incompatible Interspecies Wives, which has some of the same beats (angsty love and misundersatings) but doesn't have a piece of sh*t heroine. <<less

The translation is terrible, first off. It's line by line, most likely MTL. It's very stiff and awkward to read, they really should have gotten a good native English proofreader.

Story: We're supposedly reading about the number one former villain, yet the actual character himself is a sniveling beta who gets pushed around by highschool girls (he even offers some bullies money so they'll go away while trying to protect the heroine). How did this loser become the number one villain? It impossible to suspend disbelief reading about this coward. I... more>> got annoyed reading it and dropped it. <<less

Another great tl by Raei.

I was expecting something similar to I Became the Villain the Hero is Obsessed With, but it managed to stand on its own feet well, dispote having similar waypoints.

I LOVE DESCENT INTO INSANITY STORIES. I dont think I've seen one go this far in the deep end with the puppy dog doll scene, but damn was it good. One thing I really would have liked is if MC actually made a decision at the end, I feel like there were a lot of branching paths that ending couldve rolled into and they just kinda laid across all the tracks and hoped people wouldn't think of the ramifications.

To be honest I think this wasn't really a good misunderstandings type novel since rather than being funny it felt like a lot of it was a bit contrived with characters making poor choices for no other reason than to create drama. Probably a rough summary is most of the characters are tsundere and refuse to admit their feelings to their love interest and then the other party goes yandere when they think their love interest doesn't love them. Basically by the end of it I felt all the main... more>> characters were pretty much messed up although they do get a happy ending.

I guess it's a case of your mileage may vary depending on preferences since some people seem to like it and if they enjoy it that's good thing. Personally I felt the start was probably a solid 4 but the end was more like a 2. <<less

I felt as if the novel was really well made and put together throughout. I really enjoyed the slice of life narrative with the sprinkling of action the first half of the book introduces, but some of the plot points feels rushed towards the end. I loved all the characters, but it felt as if the characters didn't have much in the way of a meaningful ending, especially with how we pulled away so much attention away the interactions and their lives to focus on the drama that was occurring.... more>> Overall enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it if you are ok with abrupt endings. <<less

This story is quite interesting, the plot and the build up is fairly good.

though the story MC is Dice, but around 80-90% of the story's point of view is from the heroines, which.... felt really weird.

There are 3 heroines, one is a hypocrite, one is two face (but I like her the most), and the last heroine got introduce way too late into the story (around chapter 100/125) which I think mean she has no chance.
