I like the MC, I mean every characters in the novel (of course, except to those s*upid characters to the point that it's unbelievable why they did those s*upid acts. Like those plagiarism of design, that certain character s*upidly post about the design defending the brand and talking about moral blah blah blah bullsh*t without knowing the truth, plus his team? They encourage him, so unprofessional my god. Unbelievable but they're eaten alive, anyways.)

Plus, mc's opness and his behaviors towards the ml. My god. You said your older than... more>> the ML but what you behave? Like a 20 years old something something in love brainless like that. His opness is okay because he's a previous 'emperor' like that, he's an 'emperor' but act like a 20 something something years old?!! Unbelievable.

But, overall. It's good. I laughed sometimes and cried because of those tragic stories.

It becomes boring to read if im too busy, so advice everyone. Read this when you're not busy and have a clear mind.

Anyway, the author seems to copy other stories like those entertainment circle in other author. (Not just the author, many author.) But, some are changed by him or her. Just my opinion. Don't mind me.

But, I FINALLY FOUND A GOOD ORIGINAL MC AND A SPOILED ONE AT THAT, BUT WHY ARE THEY NOT BIOLOGICAL SIBLINGS?!! CAN THEY NOT BE TWINS?!! I'M SEARCHING FOR ONE AND I NEED IT RIGHT NOW. BUT, WHY ARE THEY NOT TRUE SIBLINGS?!! WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN THE STORY ENDS? HE WILL JUST LIVE WITH THE ML?!! I FEEL THE ML'S POSSESSIVENESS!! THAT'S NOT HEALTHY, AT ALL.

B*TCH, I'M GETTING EMOTIONAL.

Cough.

What I mean is, if they fight, I know that the MC will just 'surrender' to the ml. That's not good. That's not healthy. It's bad.

At least, someone will be his 'shoulders to lean on' beside the ml, right? Who will be his shoulder to lean on when him and ML fight? Their friends? Bullsh*t. No one can afford to offend the ML (you read it too, right? The ml's are also op in their own and no one can offend them clicheness). Even the mc's agent. Look, she's just an agent with many connections compared to those who are truelly powerful.

The true mc? He's just a spoiled young master who is talented in acting. D*mn, he's like a kid to act in front of his siblings.

But, did you read or remember? His brother is indifferent to everyone except his brother (i accept that because of the family connections.) But, he apologized to the ml? F*cking!!!

So, you can imagine the rest of how lonely the MC if they are going to truelly fight because of the ml's jealous y.

It's okay if the the original MC is the mc's family because the ML would be reluctant to do something. You know.

Beware the tears. Each acting scene so far is making me cry. I know each scene is only acting, I'm not even there, but the writing is so emersive I still cry. I'm not that far into it I just had to tell someone. Its the second time so far ive had full blown tears down my face sobbing because of this novel. 10/10, hope the other roles arent so sad XD

Edit: It's really hard to eat a sandwich between tears XD

4 stars. I would have said 5 stars, but it had a lot of moments where it just lagged and the dogblood plots seemed repetitive so I'll keep it at 4. That said, it was a really fun read. One thing that consistently stood out to me was the portrayal of women. I go into a lot of non-danmei and danmei expecting women to be villains, always trying to seduce and suppress in often 1D ways. Here though, the women were very nicely fleshed out side characters. And even more... more>> that, there were moments of feminism were the female characters were treated poorly and had opportunities to stand up for themselves. A really nice surprise to see this in this novel. <<less

MTL'd most of it. Was good. Funny. Long chapters. Winners win, so if you want something lite, this is good for a try.

I'll reread when it's done being translated.

As far as rereading goes:

Once you get past relationship, or even a bit before that on Long Island Ice Tea movie, it gets a bit draggy. I found the earlier parts, where there was actually some struggle to be pretty interesting. I imagine I'll probably re-read first 50 chapters and skim or skip the rest.

Loved it! I reached the last chapter so quickly and was like “Wait- that’s it?” But I really enjoyed reading this novel. Thank you translator, and thank you author for creating this.

I’ve read up to chapter 19 of the translated version and the rest was mtl. The mtl is very readable with minor issues with pronouns and some more “slang” like words but completely understandable (especially if you’ve read other entertainment industry novels).

I will say compared to the countless other bl actor novels, this one was like a fresh breath of air. The ML isn’t overbearing and the op-ness is pretty low compared to other stories. The love between the two is very natural and there is very little added drama,... more>> the little drama in their love life was resolved frankly and easily. They’re both almost completely truthful to each other.

Half the fun of these types of stories is the mini plots inside the story. Each of the movies could be it’s own standalone story. Soooo good. The beginning there was a bigger focus on MC acting but as the story goes on, it is less and less about his acting and more about the movie itself.

The nationalist and xenophobia is very low. H*mophobia is a semi big theme but it makes sense especially since China is not the most accepting place so it’s pretty realistic. When ML and MC breaks out of the domestic circle, the characters don’t bash other nationalities just because they’re not from the same country.

All in all one of the top 5 entertainment novels I’ve ever read. <<less
