I have read the mtl version of this novel and although it is sometimes very hard to know what is happening but there are many moments that it is just worth to read this novel but unfortunately I don't know how to put the spoiler thing so I will just tell you some things that you will see in the novel:

The MC isn't really powerful directly, more clever and knowledgeable. The physical aspects of fighting are left to others and this fits the protagonist well. I find this to be novel when it comes to a Korean light/web novel MC.

Having to give this novel a 4 pains me considering how good it is but it had to be done.

The protagonist is in that sweet spot while he's not a weak pushover but he can't steamroll everything by himself either. The way they write the ghosts are also pretty cool. I'd like to see it adapted into a manhwa.

It's so well-written and compelling.

I think you'll figure out if it's for you or not after the first chapter too. It didn't take long at all for me to be hooked.

Also, although it's ostensibly a necromancer and an academy, it is very different from those conventions/tropes. The necromancer is much closer to a respecting-the-dead spiritualist like something you might see in Princess Mononoke and the academy has only been the setting for one incident thus far.

It's a promising start. Like To Hell With Being a Hero, we have a shaman MC thrown into a world of swords & magic... except it turns out the biggest threat is ghosts. There isn't much more to be said at this point. We've had 2-3 arcs, all satisfying, but pretty much all we can say of the MC is that he is a speaker for the dead. He helps ghosts achieve peace.

It's good for the time being. Not actually a generic boring academy novel. But dives into the regrets of each deceased person, using wit and strength rather than screaming loudly and destroying everyone.

However, this interest will most likely die before chapter 100. The Harlem element and how its being setup will result in many many chapters being about Harlem drama. You classic harem girl a b and c arguing about their love of the protag. Gets extremely tiresome fast. Tragic really, it was a good story and setup thus far.

this is a really great novel his past life plays into his current one which not many novels do aside from that the exorcism scenes is awesome the whole necromancy system is explain really well too the only problem I have is keeping up with the characters sometimes I get confuse cause they just show up out of knowhere
