In a certain League of Legends (LOL) match, a streamer well-known for infuriating people, was providing commentary and live streaming.

Streamer: This support, so tr*sh.

Streamer: If this jungler was my teammate, I’d already be idling at the fountain, playing piano for him.

Streamer: I suggest this player go back and practice last-hitting properly.

Audience: Stop talking crap! If you’re so good, why don’t you do it?

Streamer: Your daddy here can actually do it.

Audience: Yeah, sure. If you’re that good, I’ll chop my head off and let you kick it around.

A few months later, the veteran LPL team TTC announced their new mid-laner. A boy with flamboyant blue hair appeared in front of the audience. His Zed gameplay was so astonishing that whoever he faced ended up dead. Female fans teetered on the edge of betrayal, tempted to switch their loyalties.

During a post-match MVP interview, everyone held their breath, eagerly watching this talented newcomer.

The young man took the microphone, smiled, and asked, “To the water friend with the StarTV username ‘Suburb King 101,’ my team’s address is on the official website, when will you be mailing your head over?”

After one regular-season game, the staff went backstage to fetch the team for an interview, only to stumble upon TTC’s new mid-laner and their jungler standing in a corner.

TTC’s star jungler, Road, was pressing the team’s new mid-laner, Soft, against the wall. Leaning in close, he asked in a low voice: “You know what to say during the interview, right?”

The fiery mid-laner, who had cemented his tr*sh-talker reputation in his very first game, was currently blushing furiously.

“I know. I won’t tr*sh-talk… I swear I won’t.”

One of the best!!

I read this straight and I missed a lot of sleep time because of this. The main couple is good, I love how cute the MC is, how OP the ML. Too bad there’s no smut lol.

I wish there’s more on the side couple tho coz I really shipped them so bad since their appearance in the novel.

This is my 3rd e-sports novel after Glory, AWM, they seem to follow the same template. ML who is already accompolished, a GOD in pro scene, MC who is younger, talented, new to the team, fan of ML. They fall in love, win competitions. It was a good read. Thank you translators :)

One of the best e-sports novel out there! Out of the shared universe novels, I like this one the most. Even though I don't play LoL, I feel very immersed in reading it. Thank you to the translators for the exceptional translation! I love the bantering between MC Soft with his teammate Xiao Bai/daddy fans/gaming opponents/everyone lol. MC's got godly gaming skills and he's not one to crack under pressure. I really like the relationship development between him and the ML.

hhhhhhhh I loved this novel so much! It's humorous and sweet, in that the relationship of the MC and ML isn't toxic and the development is well-paced while not being drawn-out (I wish there was more, sadge). There isn't anything too explicit but there is enough dog-food fluff to go around~<3

Greatly Recommend!

I love this author and the characters she brings out is just chef's kiss 😚👌

AND What I also Really LOVEEE and enjoy reading in every chapter is the dynamics between Soft and his Dad fans Seriously every time in every chapter they make me laugh, at times sentimental and touched. This author made me feel engaged whenever they banter at each other. I also love the chill vibe but really Im tense ML occasionally shows to MC and how they dote on one another. The romance progress is smooth... more>> with no bad bumps because they have a really strong personality which I just love 😍 And not just them, I love how characters here have strong mentality despite their struggles although it didn't touch upon the progress deeply and downplayed it a lil bit. But the novel's so fluffy and fun to read and the way they humor their way through it is very realistic because Admittedly even I do it. The emotions the author pulls out on her characters is very well thought and pop ups of back stories is smooth as well. This novel is also simple and no exaggeration of plots and stuff which I stan.

The downside I can think of is that it may not be simulating enough (cuz I do dat whenever I read ehe) if you're not familiar with LoL or the gameplay to it or similar games to it. Commonly, the author do describes the champions and how they work that the characters use but only briefly along with the story for the sake of it which is ok to me but may not be to some. <<less

At first, I really tended not to take up esports novels due to the fact that I encountered a bit of them that weren't reallly up my alley. However, I'm just glad that I ended up picking this one up.

The character build-ups were good and the wordings were nicely done, comprehensively explaining stuff that would have otherwise confused readers who are new to the genre.

I loved MC's personality and interactions, especially when targeting the poor team's Xiao Bai. Lol, I've probably long turned into a Dad fan too.

There were a... more>> lot of humour that would have you laughing to yourself, giving a like to water friends that you can relate to and etc. Over all, the story is a good read and I'll probably add it into my list of novels I'd probably reread one day. <<less

There's an indescribable feeling that emerges when you finally indulge in a work you've been camping for since 8 months ago... but now I'm sad because I finished too fast for my own sanity shooooooooot

If you like FOG or any gaming-themed BL stories, then be sure to check this novel, created by none other than JIANG ZI BEIIIIII (works: PUBG, Guide on How to Fail at Online Dating). Personally, I still think PUBG is my favorite out of the three works I've read from this author & only because it... more>> hits all of my sweet spots. I recommend all three of them nonetheless because I think the gameplay, couple dynamic, & side characters/CPs are all pretty great. The stories are paced well, characters have errr-character to them... they're just really worthwhile reads!

Enough advertisement now! I Can Do It is very reminiscent of FOG. It could be because of the whole same team couple setting or how our cute shou has one snarky mouth & temper. The couple dynamic of "I'll insult everyone but you" screams soooo much dog-food & inflicts me with both sweetness & pain (over how lonely I am). As a former LoL player (I played for like 2 weeks guys don't take me seriously), I loved reading through the gameplays. I swear this author does ample research & I think it's pretty fluid each time. I'm not bothered by heavy info-dumps & I can smoothly ease my way into understanding the mechanics. A bit of warning though: as much as I enjoy reading the broadcast commentary because it technically is fun... there are moments where things are too much. I understand that it may be to paint a picture that the gaming industry is not all just fun, games, & glory. People are still prone to slander, insults, & just heavy online ab*se. But if you're not someone with a lot of tolerance over these things, then just tread lightly & carefully. Xenophobia & flame wars aside, just read it for the fluff.

There are some holes that I'm hoping the extras may patch up. I'm eagerly waiting for them to finish translating! <<less

ohhhhh my god this novel is definitely top 10 material. The main characters are great, the team dynamics are great, the story really feels rooted. The story is just so FUNNY I laughed every single chapter. I love the comments, and the horrible social media posts all read really real to me.

the rah rah nationalism is blatant and constant, but it's basically at the level of any world sporting event. There's some anti-korean stuff but I don't think it's just full on racism. It isn't like: All Koreans Are Bad... more>> as much as one of the teams in korea is anti-china in the story, and therefore becomes the main villain of the story. If you've ever watched any american sport movie like miracle on ice or something, it's basically the same, except the usa is china and russia is korea.

the MC is an angry little spitfire kitten with a terrible mouth who is always ready to throw hands. He's pretty much rude to everyone he plays against (except the ml) and repeatedly flames and trolls all his opponents. His fans, having watched him over the years, are equally hilariously mean to him and mock and flame him constantly.

the ML is a veteran player who lives to tease the MC and make him blush on stream. He also loves to make extremely blatant comments about their love in public. They have a very cute and stable relationship, and they communicate really well. I think it would be great if the ML saw the MC more equally instead of someone he constantly has to protect tho.

my favourite part is inter and intra team dynamics!!! The ml's best friend is in another team, so they tr*sh talk and commiserate about their age and injuries. My fav friendship is between the MC soft and saviour,
Spoiler

who meet in game as opponents, so even though saviour is a cute boy who is a fanboy of soft he gets flamed (because as previously mentioned, MC soft is only soft for one ML road). Despite this (or maybe because of it???) saviour remains a soft fanboy and finally gets to duo q with his idol. Soft then proceeds to teach him the fine art of trolling. It's hilarious and amazing. Saviour is very cute and uses lots of emoticons. It's very cute and I love him.

Love every single novels from this author. Totally recommended. If you love this novel check out the rest of the novels. After 4 years of reading more and more esport novels, you just very rarely find ones that are as good as this. Good pacing and plot, both the ML and MC is commendable, the side characters are well-incorporated and the esport element is done in a way that makes ot easy to understand.

This is so nice, I enjoyed it alot. Definitely a slow burn romance, like in terms of pacing - you can expect them to get together in the last 30 chapters instead of the 100 before that. Excruciatingly slow, but if that's something you enjoy then you might like this!

The romance itself is very sweet, I think alot of it has to do with subtext. You have to read between the lines about their actions, this novel doesn't explain it outright or guide you through - but you (reader) is... more>> putting the pieces together yourself. Which is really good for a slow burner, if you're the more oblivious type - you might be slower to get the memo, but it's still very very adorable.

I came here not knowing a single thing about league, hoping to learn. While I still find it complicated and still get confused, I think I became familiar with the terminology once I grasped the main positions, but it's still a little abstract to me. Other than that, it's quite good, a huge cast of characters and side pairs, but the focus is definitely on the CP's team steamrolling others.

Anyways yeah it's quite good. Not much to say, if you enjoy their specific type of romance (makes me think of highschool crush/idol-crush where it's a lot of pining and shy glances?) then you're in for a ride. Otherwise, yeah! <<less

This is very cute but not entirely my cup of tea. My personal pretty small problem with this has to do with the initial dynamic between MC and ML.

Spoiler

They are honestly very cute but I don't really like the fact that MC is a diehard fan that acts completely different when in front of ML. Some of the situations that happen because of this are really funny and some make me uncomfortable. One such case is the "pant zipper episode"; I nearly couldn't bear reading that scene.

The story also has a habit of introducing stories of people who share some similarities with MC in his behavior towards ML. The one fan who saved ML's QQ code or something after a stream accident, just as MC did, and kept it saved patiently for a year to later send mails to ML that came off as creepy. Or that one female player who they didn't invite to the team because she was a fan of ML and looked at him a certain way so they were worried a romantic relationship may form... exactly like MC but a different gender.

Basically, I just don't like the fan-idol relationship because if the ML didn't reciprocate or find it cute, it wouldn't be such. Mind you, the MC here is actually cute and doesn't really appear creepy, just kind of dumb. And this same dynamic has introduced some really funny scenes too, but, maybe the way it's presented or something else, it just keeps bothering me and doesn't allow me to enjoy it 100%.

though it is a little of like a slow burn for me but still... the sweetness before they got together was enough to satisfy me so im happy.

That feeling when you want to swear because it felt like they had just gotten together in the previous chapter and then the next thing I know it's already the end? (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ I just want to say how I appreciate the Dads (both gals and lads) ! Very supportivee. I'm cryinggg, I want to just open these texts just to uncover the stories hidden from the personas who were typing.

Warning: Narrative for TCC Team is really focused on the skills of Soft and Road.

Spoiler

I admit a little part of me got disappointed when my expectations regarding the blurb and the actual work were compared. I really thought that Soft would be playing as a support in the team throughout the game. The fan boy personality is not a disappointment tho! Soft, dad is looking at you. Get your man!

I love almost everything that's happened (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) However, I wonder if it would be possible to not use countries that are from reality because it's uncomfortable to read. And I'm not saying this from just this one novel; but from multiple ones, especially from the E-Sports genre.

There's also the minimal female characters that are competitive gamers and not just from the streamer category. I'm not saying that they should be completely made into saints but there shouldn't be so much animosity either. This novel had only... more>> one that was named and she wasn't a bad person either; there was even the point that the MC made as to why the either person wasnt punished as well which was nice.

ANYWAYSSSS!!!! I'll be waiting for more Soft Dad and crew's adventures! (☆▽☆) <<less

I am still reading the novel but felt the urgent need to pen down my feelings before another chapter is released. The plot, characters, interaction between Soft Dads and the internet, are all great. It is just that the anti-Korean sentiments are getting to me. Neither do I play games nor do I follow eSports so I don't really know if the Korean esport industry practices such behaviour in reality. But the fact that a good number of words were spent making fun of the Korean language gives me the... more>> impression that even if the depiction is close to the real situation, the narrative is coloured in prejudice and hatred against a country. I will update the review again when the novel is completely translated. I do feel that a lot can be said about the wonderful Soft Dads and the great quality of translation. <<less

This is a cute funny story and easy read. It's a good read to take your mind off of things for a bit. The MC's character shines without coming off as a total Gary Stu and ML is not one of those typical cold faced domineering types. The relationships are not problematic.

What stands out is the way the author uses netizens comments. I usually hate these in stories because it's used to set up some face-slapping or further prop up the MC/ML's characters and the comments aren't funny and just... more>> a waste of space. But here, the comments are pretty funny and have "personality" to them. It adds to the MC's character that's not all about propping. So kudos to the author for pulling it off.

Like other reviewers have pointed out, the con is the xenophobia. But it's not as bad as I've seen in other novels that has me dropping the book entirely. I do skip over those parts and you won't miss anything if you do too. <<less

I'd ride or die with this novel! If I could erase my memories and re-read it, I'd do it in a heartbeat!!

This was my first novel I picked up when I opened this site and I have 0 regrets! I got excited reading the few translated chapters and went ahead and MLT the whole thing. It was understandable but when it comes to the live-streaming sections with all the slangs and idioms, it was a bit hard to grasp. But overall, I understood the whole story just fine, though I... more>> think your experience would be much better reading the translated version.

Back to the story, Soft is just so cute! I fell in love with his character and his whole dynamic with Road from the moment when:

Spoiler
[collapse]
Soft banned a viewer just for talking bad about Road

Soft is a complete tsundere if you can call him that. He bites everyone, but towards Road, he's like an obedient dog. He's like a kid with a crush (well he is...). I love their interactions a lot, it didn't seem force and developed naturally, imo. I especially love that the whole plot is lighthearted and barely has any angst (perfect QAQ). If you just want something cute and funny, this is perfect. I reread this and will probably do it again soon!!

The livestream barrage is amazing, I love the viewers and their attempts to get Road and Soft together. When Soft or Road is livestreaming, it's easily the best part of the story. The game play is okay, I don't know much about the game but I could understand the whole idea behind it enough. If anything, I skim through it but there are cute dog food even in games lol. This story really made me fall into the whole e-sport, live-streaming bl world QAQ.

I do agree that the interacts between the nations can be a bit off-putting for some, but I didn't think much of it, personally.
