I've been aware that aside from the literal ending of this novel, every ending of each mini arc/world (this is a quick transmigration) is not happy ending, and I thought I was already emotionally prepared for that. Some endings have a melancholy vibe, sad but the overall outcome is not too bad since the MC and ML were able to spent decades together, but there are arcs that are too devastating and heartbreaking that thinking about it made me want to sob again. Being emotionally prepared is not enough.

MC... more>> is someone whose pain sensitivity is a lot higher than normal people. A 1 out 10 level of pain for us can make him tear up from agony. In each world, he can even die from excruciating pain alone, namely the pain from having s*x. That body constitution played a relevant role in the overall plot. He's also mostly expressionless and emotionless, someone who didn't even know how to genuinely express his emotions. The start of this novel, you'll noticed how even though we are in his perspective, aside from the time when he's deducing and solving the mission of each world, we couldn't really take a glimpse of his thoughts about his emotions. Especially in the first arc where I even thought he's just going with the flow in his relationship with the ML. But the more he travel in different worlds, the more he feels and acts like a normal human.

ML is someone who falls desperately and deeply in love with MC in every world, despite not retaining his memory from their last life together. No matter how bad his first impression is with the MC, he just couldn't escape his feelings and when he started to fall in love, he fall really hard. He always has this distinct characteristic about him that no matter what world they are in, the MC always recognizes him. His love and obsession literally forms the strong tie that always connects them no matter what world they are in. When I say obsession, it's not the toxic, abusive kind. It's more like a raw, unconditional feeling that is both heartbreaking and beautiful.

ML loves the MC so much and MC knows it that's why he's very indulging in every way. When ML wants cuddles, he will gladly give. Even though their intimate moments sometimes made the MC feel so much physical pain (with his high pain sensitivity and all), he will never not indulge the ML because it's his way to show that he loves the ML too. Their love for each other is so genuine that it's crushing my soul.

I literally sobbed reading the ending of some of the arcs. The tears were non-stop that it left my heart so hollow. I dreaded each ending because it's always heartbreaking, just not sure the level of pain because it varies. I'm actually glad that I was spoiled about this having a happy ending, because if I was not aware, I would really thought it would be a tragic ending with all pain but no payoff.

The subtle connections and the little details that carry over to the next world makes the connection more profound and it's really good.

I remember in the ending of the second world, after 20 years in coma, the ML woke up with a skeleton beside him, hugging him tightly and knew that the MC dies while waiting for him to wake up. Then in the third world, the ML has this severe insomnia and he really couldn't sleep well without having nightmares, and those nightmares left him in panic. It seems like the MC's death while he's asleep affected him so deeply that it manifested in the next world.

I just loved all those details. It seemed small but it's very significant.

I can recommend the plot itself because the mystery solving is really good. I just don't think the emotional torture is for everyone. <<less

Reads like a 3-star novel but personal enjoyment elevated it to a 4.

Honestly, it was the second to last arc that I liked most...

Now this is not a novel for everyone... even if you do fancy QT. I think the author really attempted to create something unique (which they did), but worldbuilding wasn't solid & pacing was mediocre at best. The greatest pro is that the story really comes full circle. The foreshadowing and hints made ML's identity pretty darn obvious & the way it unraveled actually reminds me... more>> of another QT.

I SWEAR THOUGH- I have never came across a novel that kept mentioning diarrhea like this one. Props to keeping it real by showing us that yes... novel characters still do indeed go number 2. It's funny tbh but it was quite something as well. When it comes to the worlds/mission, I don't have a brain for it to be fair. It doesn't work as well as MC's though. Call it poor writing or just me lacking braincells. I don't think they were bad, but some definitely stood out more than others.

The dynamic I'm getting is scholar x delinquent, so if that's your cup of tea.... maybe you'll enjoy it. I am a fan of lovers running into each other in different worlds/universes so I'm a sucker. I wouldn't pick this novel up again. One, it's entirely too long & it didn't do a great job of keeping me engaged. But I don't dare deny that it's a decent read with a passionate romance & notable character development. <<less

Really like it, its so interesting to read.

It has a strong slice of life feeling, the plot in not complicated nor heavy, easy to read. So if there are not your genre I wouldn't reccomend it.

At first you'll think they are stereotipacals uke and seme, but actually, even tought the first is more fragile and the second a strong stud they still have real personality traits and the way they interact is so funny, both passional and relatable: no more of the perpetual OCD, the genius IQ-EQ, the impenetrable mental... more>> barrier, cold-stoic demanor, Heaven defying golden fingers and plot armors.

I like the way the author balanced perfectly the time given to the plot to the time for personal interaction (not only Mc-Ml) ; the way our MC is an understanding person without grudges while not being a saint is really likeble, the ML always starts by disdaining MC to being as clingy as a gum stuck into the hair is comical and easy on the readers mind. Really enjoing it. <<less

Yet another amazing novel that i've just found to have a translated version. This novel has an interesting premise that hooked me at first sight, which is the mystery solving part. But after reading it I realized it was not what I expected for, but still great!. At the start I thought MC gonna play detective in each arc which got me worried cuz for most of the time MC's action will be considered as reckless and overall annoying probably.

Thankfully this novel didn't take that route but instead take a... more>> more fancy ? Classic ? Writing style, anyway it reminds me of those well known retro literacy works. Which makes it different to some degree with other webnovel in general. Now those who enjoy this kind of writing, is not that common, me included probably cuz sometimes I need to take a break from this novel with very slow pace and full of seemingly unnecessary mundane life stuff. Now the MC as told from others reviewer has some sort of illment that makes him feel pain more than others. But his unfeelingness and stoic nature mixed with his inborn high physical sensitivity from times to times brought a rather amusing scene, for example :

in arc 1 ML often tease / scold ? Him that he's more squemish than a city girl while in fact he's probably braver than the marines when taking his (ML's) humongus d*cks up to his ass, in the corn field, with minimal preparation, with those abnormal sense of pain LMAO

Though his coldness also often result it many hidden knifes if u talking about his feeling to ML. Don't worry though, he does care about him if you squint hard enough and find clues inbetween author's atypical webnovel writing. In fact I kinda like it when the shou's has this sort of s*umbags personality, all I'm gonna say is :

there will be a lot of ending where one of them died (young). The differences is, if it's MC that survive he kinda lived his life as usual, while if it's ML he probably do some self harm / some sort of sacrifice first then follows after the MC if you get what I mean. If you ask me MC does more than ML especially with his low tolerance which mean his suffering are tens times more of ML if we talking about literal degree of pains

MC's often lied to himself or rather his inability to feel emotional makes him not understanding of any of his own try feeling. You can see that his inner monolugue while I can't say it 'carefree' but more like 'don't bother much' AKA no sense of urgency in anything he does basically. And although cold, he does have some of degree humour cell (though most are cold jokes and some casual self depreciation laugh), he's even feels nauseous when sighting a rather grostesque corpses, so his personality didn't just makes him an iceberg or a statue like those other 'cold' overbearing character and rather makes him feels more 'real'. Some says the author is sh*ts at writing the MC cuz he's smart but are very passive in most time, well no sh*ts, other than the fact he never had an identity that eligible to conduct thorough investigation, he's a f*cking rich from childhood painter before this for god sake. Even if he a genius, what do you expect from that? Especially as MC's has a not caring attitude himself and just do some small investigation to make him not too blind on what's coming.

For ML there's not much to say other than he is the perfect wife (husband) material, dedicated to his job, and has a bit c*cky-ish temperament. So that it from me for now cuz I haven't finished this yet, but the rating will never be changed cuz this all is enough for a full 5 stars. All in all, this is very recommeded for those can bear retro writing style and slow but detailed pace for a story. Also author didn't shy away from making their cast 'dirty' even if it's the main ones, I mean in their other work the MC is a literal prostit**es that had 'serviced' costumers for years, yeah it's just one of his assigned identity, but his previous life didn't help either cuz he's that typical man with midlife crisis and an unforgetable regrets / mistakes that keeps him down with no sign of getting himself up, anddd he's coping with alchohol, what a great protagonist isn't he? Cuz he's more uncaring about his and other life than this MC (with actual mental illness / brain imparement? Haven't finished that yet either so not quite sure). Oh yeah and remember, no ones is fully innocent in here, all has some dirts in their boots.

btw I heard very often that this novel supposed to had some pretty explicit s*x scenes but are heavily cencored even in official websites and of course in the piracy ones. So i'll try to read this translated ones from the start and I hope I got to see some booties cuz I'm really curious what this author is capable of (actually I'm here for the p*rn). <<less

The stories are really interesting. They are all mysteries. Each arc is very long. The love story between the MC and the ML is very sweet and makes me cry every time because of how sweet it is. All the arcs are very well written. The only problem I find is that sometimes the MC just excepts things too easily. Like how he just went with it when the ML confesses to him.. or like how he suddenly got binded with a system and transmigrated. His reaction to both is... more>> like, Okay... Besides that the novel is really worth a read.

The worlds in this novel is really different from every transmigration I have ever read. The first 4 arcs (where I'm reading now) all take place in really poor conditions in china. It reminds me of all the old Chinese drama about poor chinese farmers. Also.. the author... seems to like to write about poop... every arc... someone is pooping or there is poop somewhere... it's odd.. <<less

Especially Huang Dan. Every arc, he grows so much as a person. You can literally see how much he changes and perceive his world little by little. This novel is so continuous and fleshed out that when I reread this, I still find myself crying at the arc endings.

For the plot of every world, they're good. The first time I've read this maybe I didn't pay much attention to the tags and just saw world hopping and hopped myself into reading it. Three arcs in when I realized 'holy sht so this gon be a mystery novel??'. Visited this page again, yeah it was mystery. Reread this because I missed them.

This novel doesn't make Huang Dan OP. He's not Sherlock Holmes that he could solve the tasks in like two weeks

I tried rereading this from the chapter where I left off but it really still got me bored. There are some mysteries needs to be solved but it still didn't hold my interest. I kinda also dislike how the fast romance in each arc. I understand that they were in a relationship in the previous worlds but them getting together easily just because of that left me uninterested. That's I guess one of the flaws of reading Quick Transmigration stories. There are no twists in getting together.

absolute 5.0 no kidding.. At first, I thought it just transmigration (not qt) bcs of the synopsis, and I actually don't quite like QT, but in the first arch (village love) is hooked me, often MC in this kind of genre is Super OP, but I can see our MC is really average (I mean, his logic and our logic is the same..., we can follow his logic, ML is also the same... not so OP either) but in this first arch it so the ending was so.. idk.. I... more>> feel it bad but it's also not bad.. but despite all of it I hooked by this twist, arch 2 is also the same.. :) it had a bad twist.. idk but 2 arch already have depressed vibe (although it had sweet but also bcs of it the end of the arch is more bitter) I know it poison wine but gladly drink it :'', on the arch 3 is a surprise, we still had to search the target with MC and we really get confused by it, MC really had a detail observation skill and also in this chp we start to know more about MC

I need to salute Author for all this type of connected detail.. and I'm nit finished yet, I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this novel to you who had ptsd for qt novel like me :) the ending was so satisfying, ther no gray or open ending it had conclusion it's touched and deeper not carelessly written, omg... and MC and ML just loving so much.. the side cp also the same.. I'm really glad that I read this novel.. oh and although it had 153 chapters each chapter was long and I feel like reading twice as much as I usually read.. I agree with someone that said when u read qt novel sometimes u will not like the final chapter or final arch.. but this... I guaranteed that u will get giddy to know more and to follow more about MC and ML story.. <<less

I only just finished the first arc but damn!!!! IT'S SO FREAKING GOOD. I'm pleasantly surprised. I saw the mystery and supernatural tag but didn't think of it seriously. Didn't expect there would be literal mu*der cases. I don't really enjoy horror but damn it scared me a little. One arc felt so long it's not even 30 chapters yet, because the plot is really good.

No wonder some of the systems are so familiar when I read this book. And the protagonists of both of the books met in this book.

I like how the characters are sketched. Basically there is no OP protagonist here. The interactions between MC and ML are my favourite, mainly because MC is so frank and direct with his feeling. ML personality slightly differs in each arc, but it become the same when they're in love with MC.

About the story arcs and the plot, they are written well. I keep on guessing the suspects with their motives while I was reading this. Some arc ended so sad that I need some time before I can proceed to the next one.

In my opinion, the plot twists there and there and the characters development are the factors that made me read this book until the end. Well, I can say it was an enjoyable journey. <<less

This is provably the 1st time I have reniewed within this site. First of all, I would like to remind future readers that this novel should be given a CHANCE!

Not gonna lie, I, at first found this novel to be boring especially the 1st arc. Afterall, this novel is quite slow paced. But this novel portray things to be life. There's no OP MC or ML and huang dan (mc) solves mysteries typically mu*ders.

I also agree with the other reviews where you first thought that the MC is just go along with ML at first arc. But, no. You will find out how deep their loves runs.

In addition, I would also like to express some of the arcs I really like. Some of it may contain spoilers

The demon, The peeping Tom, the no face is the arcs is really one of my favourites. I love how the demon arcs shows us, readers that there's nothing more scary than the hearts of human. It portray the irony how they were lead to kill each other just because of the fear growing into their hearts. Specifically, where boss Zhang or Zhou (cant really remember) died at the hands of the villagers. Thinking that he's a demon.

I also love the peeping Tom because I liked the fact that I didn't actually expect that huang Dan to be also one of the peeping Tom since I have eliminate him as one of the suspects since he is the MC afterall. This arc made me question all the following suspects including MC and ML after the following arcs. Afterall, this arc caught me of guard. Really love the way that the writer follow anything twist from the plot twist.

As for the no face arc, probably my favourites among all of them because of the twist of course. It caught me of guard the fact that that girl with some jiaojiao name or something (really can't remember some of their name) has been a ghost all along. I actually find it weird that her father always follow her and put the father to be one of the suspects.

Really enjoyed this QT, it was unique in its MC and ML. It kept its worlds pretty close to the real world compared to other QT and its pacing was decent although a lot of details was added at times. Not a bad thing but it did mean we did have to wait occasionally for the main point.

The author didn’t give us a happy ending at each arc but it was still very lovely to read about their love stories. It felt like reading several mini novels and I was... more>> never bored. The chapters were pretty long but I feel it was worth it.

Although I wish we learned a little more about SM and WJ since their story was cut short but glad that time proved to SM that love can be a good thing. 😊 <<less

One of the best novel.

The story touched me. Especially the last arc. Usually I don't like the last arc because it's boring and exists for the 'completion'. But not this one.

It's hard to say in words.. It's wonderful, touching, characters are 3D, they grew up, and everything.

... more>> Maybe the first few arcs make you confused, but it's still interesting. I'm a reader who feel as I read, not the type to think for every details. And this novel, I really enjoy from start to finish.

Moreover, the story concluded very nicely.

One thing to note, each chapter are long, longer than the usual chapter of other novels. I need 20 minutes ++ for each one, I think. While usually I only need 10 - 15 minutes. And the last chap, if I'm not mistaken it's nearly one hour.. 😁 <<less
