It's not perfect, but its worth reading. The nuance here is you have to have an appreciation for finding just what aspect of a story is subtly not enough.

To me this novel starts from a good place, but starts lacking in threats for our protag. With an op protag that's fine, but we're not feeling enough pressure or struggle to keep his cast members around either.

This dulls the emotional stakes in my opinion. When things go too well, and your "clan" don't get really threatened either... because they became somewhat... more>> OP due to your influence... it kind of deflates the air out of the story.

We'll see if in future it course corrects and we find new things to grip onto. I think we're seeing the wider population come in so we'll see if the stakes become grander... without trying to land an emotional low note that feels out of place or forced. <<less

Chapter 1 feels like the author read "leveling with the gods" and wanted to do his own version of that exact setup. Aka its fan fiction.

The writing actually doesn't feel too bad in the first few chapters, but it definitely feels off if you've read any of the other very similar stories over the years.

So the authors gimmick is not only overpowered future knowledge but has a skill that gives him anything he wants.... Yeah im out. I understand not every story can be great, but some of these knock... more>> offs are pathetic. It has 500+ chapters in korea and probably even made decent money.

Leveling with the gods, the hero returns, second life ranker, the tutorial is too hard, solo max newbie, sss self deletion, reincarnator, and many others are all stories within a certain framework that feels similar but true to themselves. By the end of chapter 3 of this story, im ready to go read one of those again instead of continuing. <<less
