Edit: Finished reading finally. Though I forgot many of the details since I'd read most of the chapters 4/5 months ago. I'd want to reread this at some other point in time. The last few chapters (real life arc) were cute but not overly dramatic. And I was very happy to see an extra chapter on the love triangle of the I wish there were few more chapters on that and not just an ambiguous ending. 😜 *********Original review**********

This is cute, light and romantic. The relationship between the MC & ML goes through ups and downs but not too much. I did feel bad for the ML at some instances but I'm glad that these angsty parts were there. What I liked was that this ML had other things to worry about in each world along with his boundless, albeit twisted love for MC.

The MC is not too cunning but not too dumb. His personality is a good combo of cute and strong, though I sometimes hated his fixation regarding the plot. It's understandable since he didn't have exact information about his situation before Arc 6 and he was terrified about losing his body in the real world. He wasn't too feminine and had his own strong points. Most of all, he wasn't a damsel in distress.

This novel is not a heavy read but there are certain parts that seemed a little depressing especially

I loved the banter between MC & System. Like many readers, I'd love to see some romance between Main System Daddy and SS System. 😂 Overall, a pleasent read especially if you like QT novels.

Salute!! I love this!!!

1. It's just so satisfying with every arc. There's really no point where I find myself feeling awkward or cringe anywhere in the story. For me, this is just so perfect, my cup of tea really.
2. I think this one is a much better than QWTFOD, where the story not only focuses what the MC does to salvage the situation, but ML really plays a huge part on his side. I mean they work both, and it progresses the romance.
3. I also notice that the character building is so very good, to the point that you really can relate to them. I really prefer the kind of MC, ML and system we have here.
4. The MC and ML are really made for each other. Just like the other quick transmigration, the ML has no memories from their previous world but his feelings for the MC remains the same. Whereas MC, has his memories but his feelings got filtered out so it's like starting on a clean slate again.
5. This story is so sweet, so sweet that I find myself so envious at times, , thinking that I wish I could have my own ML like this.
6. There's a time when I find myself sobbing because this novel can really pull your heartstrings. I love both MC and ML and their sweet romance.
7. MC is not your typical mary sue. Or those who are timid and whatever. MC here can be cute or adorable and at times cool and also funny. He acts properly and as necessary as how he should. I never get tired of him.
8. ML is also somewhat like other MLs, the possessive type, except that I can somehow understand where he's coming from. I mean he has his own reasons. And he's so affectionate towards MC. He just can't help falling in love with him and not hate him. Because really, , MC is really likeable!
9. The system... oh the system is so cute. He can act like a bully or he can act like a nanny, and sometimes system is also adorable and funny. He's not the typical system of other novels who sells meng. He acts in accordance to how he should. And you just can't help liking him.

You know, sometimes it is necessary to put aside all that angst and have a sweet romance. And this novel is a good example.

The premise was pretty angsty. I have found out this novel because it looked similar to "strategy to capture s*um gong", which I adore. :) But the thing is - there is no angst at all! Ngl the first few arcs I probably liked a little TOO much. I've read countless QT, but for some reason this one is just so much more enjoyable.

My jesus this is the best feelings BL ive ever read. Im not even mad that the snusnu scenes are somewhat censored cuz damn my feels. I love this and am looking forward to seeing it fully translated

This was an enjoyable read from start to finish, mostly because I loved the MC and ML. I have a soft-spot for well-intentioned protagonists, and this guy is definitely good at heart. The premise of the slag shou system is funny and provides just enough tension every arc between the MC and the ML and also the MC and himself, so that even though you know what will most likely happen (dog food), the process of getting there doesn't really get old. It's an okay novel but it's slow and dragging and repetitive in a way.

I really loved this! Arcs are about 29 chapters per arc, but I feel like the chapters get shorter in the later arcs where there isn't as much drama to build misunderstandings. But the whole reason why I'm writing this is cause I read the author's spoilers that ... more>>

but when arc 2 was ending and there was so much cliche drama, but it still made me cry and made me feel emotionally invested.

I would say rather than QWTFOD, this story resembles more of Heroic Death System with that mix between angst and fluff, and It's Actually Not Easy Being A Supporting Male Lead, where the MC is torn between his duties and love. And the whole falling in love at first sight that is the cliche of such QT novels. But I love that the ML always makes it a point to not force the MC into the relationship, and actually takes the tine to always court/woo the MC every arc, so that the MC is always the one who willingly decides to be with him. It does get a lot fluffier in later arcs, and the system just adapting to the fact that his host can never be a slag is funny. The ending was nice and sweet, though it does feel like the author rushed it a bit. <<less

I really love this story, I'm rereading it for the umpteenth time. There is a very vivid love line, around which everything is concentrated, and at the same time a good interesting plot. There is a sufficient amount of glass (but not so much that it is difficult to read, but just right to enjoy), and at the same time a lot of comedy, so it's very fun and exciting to read. this novel failed to hook me, it couldn't keep my interest going. I kept getting distracted and thinking "oh my god, there's still more?" everytime I finished an arc. The plot just felt flat to me. The chemistry between MC and ML keep getting less and less in each world. Even the system has better chemistry with MC.

I’ve reread this four times. That’s how much I enjoyed this series. I used to set my alarm to the day translator would release the chapters because that’s how much I looked forward to reading it. It was bittersweet for me when the series ended.

The MC is the star of the novel for me with the emotions he felt when trying not to harm the ML and yet struggling with it as he wanted to live as well.

I honestly didn't expect to finish this novel. I was looking for a dog-blooded, ML-groveling, wife-chasing crematorium novel. Although it fits the criteria, it's quite... different. I've read several qt bl novels and by far this is the only one that I finished. The others were also great (especially Don't Pick Up Boyfriends and Heroic Death System) but either they were overhyped, started great but lost interest soon, incomplete so I read the raws and somehow got bored, or I just don't like the MC.

However, IRASS is just different. It... more>> has the right amount of humor, the length of each arc, and the characters' development. Oh, the only thing I didn't like was the pacing of every ending.

Each arc's plot was built at the right pace BUT when you're always looking forward to how they'll spend their time together the author will only give you a summary of what happened to the rest of their lives together in a few paragraphs. Ugh. But perhaps, that might be the reason why I kept reading it till the end. I wanted to know more about them - about their next lives, next encounters, next heartaches, and next endings. And yes, it is 1v1, the same ML, and has an HE.

Like I mentioned It has the right amount of humor. I love the interactions between the system and the MC. I love the right amount of angst that made me cry, those moments that made it difficult for me to swallow and made me take a break from continuing reading coz of the pain.

Well, I don't care about how it works for other QT novels where the MC shouldn't follow the tragic lives of the person's body that they were possessing. If every author is gonna follow that then where's the uniqueness? Because you're used to reading transmigrations of MCs where they have to change their lives to avoid miserable futures? Well, that's that story's plot. And for IRASS the plot is to continue to follow the designed and planned-out 'so-called reality that we thought already happened'. Oh yeah right, I can't blame other readers for finding it unreasonable coz they didn't read this till they found out that

Well, it's great that the tag for Virtual Reality wasn't included in the tags here. It was the biggest plot twist. Hahaha. And oh, it's already a given that ML will immediately fall for MC for every arc. As much as I want that not to happen nah, overall it was still good.

It's really hard to find good qt novels, and this one is a rare treasure.

I love the MC. He's not smart, but he's also not dumb. He feels very real. And the ML is everything you want from an unhinged possessive lover (in fiction). It works because it makes sense.

It's essentially a series of toxic relationships - don't let that put you off. As someone who likes fluff and not angst, I still love this story, because it's all subjective. As the reader, we understand that the toxic... more>> relationships are all situational, and the true feelings of the main pair aren't toxic at all.

the plot is not as deep or grand compared to other well known novels in this genre, but the writer really know how to satisfy the readers (like me) !

MC and ML are both very lovable. MC is smart but not really the cunning type. A little foolish at times but still very cute. 4.5 so i'll round it off. I didn't read the whole novel but I enjoyed every part that I read. I read the first arc to know what's going on. The MC is funny there haha, he tried to follow the systems instruction but he failed in a funny cute way haha. He is a real novice in terms of QT there and it's cute. But I am not a fan of normal world setting so I hopped. Checked the TOC and jumped to arc 5 when I saw that its a sentinel-guide world (although the ending of 5 is kinda abrupt for me) but the world is good! Read intro of 6th but I didn't quiet like it so jumped to 8, the real world.

I am a fan of sentinel-guide world in QT so when I saw that arc, I decided to read the novel.

After few chapters, I realize it's familiar but why would I stop lol. So I continued then finish reading until the end. I just realized now that I'm writing this review that I've already read ARC 5.

Howver, I didn't read the remaining arcs that's why it's still fresh for me.

Anyway the EXTRA!!! I DIDN'T EXPECT THAT! But I love that extra. And that main system and that rice cooker lol.

Still Highly Recommended!

I've been delaying reading this for so long bcause I'm not really fond of QT. Often too short each chapter n left feeling unsatisfied. Turns out this one is really good!! Ofc not perfect like for example was it arc 6, I feel like wayyyy too many characters but bcause of each arc is short, that character bcome just a waste. They go no where, , seem like doesn't rlly play much role, at the end they were neglected but at the same time taking up too much time in... more>> the opening arc. They r very redundant. Since each QT arc is short I think it's much more suitable if the story focus on just MC n ML n like 2-3 other characters. And the romance is lacking, for me at least. Everytime they end up together, arc end n just start next short stories :")

It's too bad really when each arc have good story plot, so much room for improvement, so much more potential. This is why I'm not really fond of QT. But this is one of the best story already. There's a lot of funny moment especially with our MC n the cute system. A lot of angst for the ML n MC, n seriously smtime instead of abusing the ML why do I feel like the world is abusing the MC more 😂 Great ending overall~ <<less
