Would rate it a 4 overall but writing pace (and to be honest with you, also the translation) bumps it up to a 5. Very smooth and an enjoyable reading experience for me, hard to put down.

Not yaoi for sure, never ever even remotely goes close past kissing (extreme vague hint; JUST A HINT, of jacking each other off once but that's it), more or less just summing up how often they did it, how long they did it and what state MC and ML were in after doing it,... more>> instant cut to black, most likely thanks to the darn censorship.

Mainly romance, dash of comedy and heavy overtone of blood dog drama.

Minor trigger warnings:

>toxic relationship habits (confinement, obsession, HEAVY stalking and monitoring) >parental/in*est relationship (protégé + mentor/adopted son + foster parent)

>slight mentions of su*cide and self harm (it's more pronounced as evident suicidal acts/thoughts, as author deliberately writes it from a third person view; back to MC's POV, they put out there that he's of sound, clear and healthy mind)

>gay bending (as bad as straight bending IMO, MC was definitely not interested as a 20yr old in guys, sure it might be that he was unaware, but he also didn't want to be sexually or romantically involved with ML nor expressed any interest but rather disgust at the beginning so I rather am suspecting forced gay bending)

The more accurate title should've been 'I'm really a s*um Shou!' as the blood dog drama goes on from world to world.

MC never really held back in trampling ML's feelings before getting together.

Overall the pacing is quick, the world planes/arcs go by fast, mostly focuses on MC+ML, without neglecting arc plots. Emotional conflicts as to MC's guilt and feelings towards ML are addressed pretty early on. I'd like to highly applaud to that, because you don't often see a QT MC actually struggling over the morality of their actions, but sadly we stopped just in those early arcs.

Later on we hardly ever focus on the mental aspect of MC towards ML and his mission, a shame, really. (For as blood dog dramatic as it was, I wouldn't have minded if they make MC realistically break down for once and rage out at ML or actually contemplate and interact more with ML on the subject of why they were there and doing what they did/QT.)

That being said, MC's a lil' angel but had some devious ways. Somewhat of a dense shou but smart and strong enough to fend himself off (if the host he's possessing allows him to in a no-OOC range). His dynamic with the system are like a pair of siblings and it's slightly frustrating and both amusing to see their interactions.

There's also more depth to the system/missions, so that'll also be occasionally addressed and solved later on.

ML, run-of-the-mill cold face, made out of wood CEO type but would blossom gently in front of MC. Small gap of difference between ML and most stereotypical ones is that this one has a more down to earth side, mainly the lack of indifference to side/background characters. Those side and background characters are also 3D enough to make the arcs more enjoyable.

Why a 4 star? A nagging feeling, really, that these two are more superficial lovers than anything. I wasn't moved by the two, mayhap due to all the excessive drama and the abandoned inner conflicts of MC and on ML's side, we get NOTHING other than his capabilities to easily beat twilight's edward in category of stalking.

ML falls in love with MC at first glance and you really don't get to experience them growing fond of each other, it's a one sided instant infatuation and one sided slow acceptance to the cray cray infatuation. This issue starts at first arc and continues till ending, always with ML instantly falling in love and MC's hesitance to accept. A dreadful dreary repetition on the emotional spectrum.

This was a fun read. Something I liked about this particular QT was that the protagonist was neither insanely smart nor dumb, he was kind of just an guy doin his thing. Banter between him and the system was hilarious, I genuinely missed the system when it was no longer around. As with all QTs, there were some arcs I liked better than others and some that had me glued to the edge of my seat.

I definitely suggest giving this a read, one of my favorite novels was Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil and this is pretty much the same. Main difference is this relationship is healthier and there are no smut scenes.

Enjoyed this so much more than I expected!

Feel like a typical QT but ah the MC is so great. I love it when MC has some moral fibre and don't just flip-flop over their character. It's fine if a character is 'dark' or whatever but even that is annoying when they just go OOC, especially when the ML gets involved.

MC actually does his quests himself. Lots of effort and best of all? Zero (0) mentions of 'golden thigh' I hate that phrase now.

ML is interesting and good background plot... more>> as well. ML actually has a history and character not limited to being brain-dead over MC.

If you like QT then pretty high chance you'll enjoy this a lot!

I actually miss this story and wish there was just a few more arcs ;_; <<less

It's refreshing to see an MC that makes mistakes, feel depressed, and also that he's not an (over-the-top-Mr-knows-everything-and-can-do-anything-kind-of-MC)

He's neither 6666 IQ nor -6666 EQ, he's just ordinary.

Every arc is interesting and a little unique. I love the plot and characters!

Honestly, I didn't thought I would love this so much.

MC, who's bound by System in order to return back to his original world has to ab*se the protagonist (ML) and betray him and then later die by ML hand in every arc but everytime he try to do, before that ML end up falling for him unconditionally Instead.

This QT novel is a bit different from your usual QT novels. There's no Real main villian and Instead we have a cute System with his action of roasting MC. You can see the blood dog drama from title, THE SLAG SHOU, where MC has to pretend to be Slag. Every arc has bit angsty and a hell lot of emotion..... except for vacation one 5th Arc.... more>>

Overall this story gives me a very pleasant feeling I haven't felt for a long time in QT novel.

MC is Cute and Naive and his naiveness is the one that is very likable. I kinda loved how he was not OP actually and Instead kinda very ordinary. His reaction and action were quite funny and cute.

As for ML, I actually like the ML very much. He's bit yandere and super Possessive but he never crossed the line...... at least mine. He never forced on MC unlike other similar ML (who first force f*ck MC and then think about how to win him....... yea, I am talking about HDS ML) . Though he's a bit manipulative too and he tried to use MC sympathy towards him to bring them close, well, I don't have any problem with that as long as he didn't hurt MC afterall, all is fair in love and war. The thing I like most about him is that Despite being such yandere+possessive character he tries to suppress his dark though and action which might have hurt MC or our crossed our Line and try to approach MC slowly Despite getting rejected and never force on MC.

I can't helped but compare him with HDS ML (since that was the last QT I have read and both ML being Possessive) and I find this ML so f*cking pleasant and lovable. Especially when he once said that He won't force MC because he love MC..... and he really didn't forced MC. That's the guy I love to see.

I love the relationship between MC and ML...... it was actually a healthy relationship. I love how they always had Happy ending but honestly I kinda felt it lack a bit (compare to other QT novels) when it comes to romance and intimacy. Despite being Yaoi tagged, This felt more like Shounen~Ai (Not Complaining...... just saying).

This is one of novel where System is actually a good System. I kinda like the reason behind the existence of the System. You just can't hate them unlike other system. I personally love the relationship between MC and the System more..... not in romantically way. From the starting till the end, their relationship and the the way they interact with each other was so lovable. The way System compain about MC but still care so much....... this is the first time, I have like a System (genuinely) and didn't wanted MC and System to be separated.

The only problem I had in this novel was the way it ended..... I mean, I was kinda hoping for a lot more but then it ended..... kinda plainly. It's still good but well..... sign.

Although enjoyable and interesting it did get stale at times and after MC finished the world there was never enough information about what happened to that world so I wish it went into more detail at times.

I don't usually like systems but this one was fun and it expanded its system world which was new to me. MCs behaviour in most cases was understandable and there were reasons for certain story elements so it's a good read.

This novel contains lots of angst and fluff. I love how the MC isnt OP and reacts like how common people would react.

I cant really express how much I like this novel but I highly recommend you read this!

i really shouldn't some reviews here bc this novel was amaaaaziiing. Dare I say it, even on par with quickly wear the face of the devil. I love quick transmigration novel sm and this novel delivers even tho its only a few arcs (7 worlds).

i love the MC and how seemingly innocent he is but surprisingly smart and also introspective. ML is creepy but so cute at the end. I wish I could've read more about their time finally together. The system is suuuuuper adorable and I hope it gets... more>> its spinoff too.

all in all, this novel made me feel butterflies and made me cry bc of the ab*se of ml. Recommended! <<less

I AM OBSESS! I honestly would just rate this 10/5 stars

Every chapter was worth immersing yourself on! I am so blown away how the author made every character of every arc worth investing in.

The MC and ML's dynamic was just wonderful to read and analyze.

It's like reading multiple stories in one. And every story is not half-assed written. It's just so good!

All the translation teams were even more wonderful and did an incredible job!

I highly highly highly recommend this!

I've never really enjoyed reading bl novels where the MC would complete different worlds for some reason, I later found out why. It was because of the feeling of having different ML every arc and always having the system making the MC do certain things.

like the other commenter, I tried this novel mostly because everyone said that the ML was the same and I really had no more bl to read. MC can be a little clingy sometimes and I don't think he really liked the idea of falling in... more>> love with different people at first but after finding out every ML was the same person I guess he just accepted the fact that yeah he was the same person. I may be wrong but that's how I saw it. Thankfully I didn't have to mtl this because I was late to the party.

MC really had some major character improvements I guess. My favourite arc has to be the admiral one, arc 2, simply because I really liked how ML always believed in MC no matter what and how he was really willing to die for him. Also the time where ML was prepared to die together with MC was just to heart warming, I cried several times.

I really enjoyed how he and the system understood each others problems and how they were willing to accept it. Everyone's been talking about the FOD on almost all the QT novels I've had a look at the description. There's atleast one comment about it or a brief mention.

First off I've never read FOD and that just bought the impression of that novel down for me a lot. I never really likes people comparing novels or say that ones better or a copy. I might visit it one day if I have nothing to read like this novel but this bl, in my opinion, really deserves a 5 star review. I've read all the bl novels but I dont know how I feel about approaching novels with a female protagonist and a male protagonist mostly because they have extremely cliche story lines. Mls in the those xian xia novels would be a waste and suddenly level up to fast it's practically a world record and the female ones, her boyfriend betrayed her, her step or half sister stole her boyfriend or fiance. DO I HAVE TO MENTION HALF THE TIME THE DAMN MOTHER'S DEAD?! Or the FL would have a one night stand with the op president either because of the sister (she's back again but worse) or some dying father and need surgery money. That's what I have to say about straight relation ship novels, might approach Gl novels after.

I suddenly feel like I spoke to of track from the main topic but this is really how I feel. This is my first time reviewing please go easy on me. <<less

This is my very first QT novel. Previously, I avoided this type of novels like plague. I've read almost all bl novels that include transmigration, rebirth, reincarnation and the normal, cultivation, ancient, omega verse, any sort of animals (the one where they can transform like cat, dog, dragon, snail, snake etc) any tribe novel. I even accept any kind of tag like yandere, horror, r*pe, tragedy, depression and all tragic tag. I read all sort of bl except QT and harem since I can't accept polygomous relay. And I... more>> hate seeing them move on too fast from this world to another. But because I read the spoiler saying that the soul of the ML is the same person, I tried to accept it. But I took a few months bfore I decided to read this since I'm in desperate need of bl. I just decided to just read it. And for those who are like me, idk why, but I'm okay reading this novel. Maybe because I prepare myself bfore reading this. So, I don't feel repulsive reading this. Maybe it cause all of it is a HE and maybe because it doesn't explain much abt the romance I just decided to accept it. Maybe it cause I see the ML effort. Idk but at the end, I completed this novel in only a day.

Edit: I just finished fod as well and it seems I like this one better. Read I've got this cannon fodder back but drop at the arc4. Yeah.... Not my type I guess. Will try another qt or just reread other bl novels that is not qt.

the MC in this novel is like a white lotus I guess, he can't do bad stuff. But the MC in fod is too op. While the MC in I've got this cannon back is too weak at the arc 4, too obedient, very much white lotus that I don't like it.

Overall, all of the qt novel I've read till now is very bland and boring. I can predict what happen and their life is very smooth. Some of them rely on the ML too much and you can't expect much of the romance here. Maybe because there is too much world. After they got together, its jump to another world. <<less

I was ready for some heavy dog blood and ab*se, but what I got was 8 arcs with happy endings! Come'on, who doesn't like HE?

I'll say the cons first, every arc was cliche and I easily forget about the happenings, etc.

BUT! I really did enjoy this, I really love the MC here (the reason why I stick reading this), I really like his character and also his and the system's bantering. ML on the other hand, is generic possesive op ML.

Anyways, really recommended!

Despite it being a bit repetitive, each world does some pretty interesting takes on the popular tropes most commonly seen in QT novels, not to mention this really is hilarious!

The humor doesn't feel forced, and there are times that I can't help but chuckle out loud! Biggest source of the laughs is the system, which behaves pretty much like a child

This novel is so good, I tried to pace myself and failed miserably, finishing it in 2 days.

I think what I liked the most about the stories is that they had such richly developed characters and environments. The author really delves into each mini-world, spending on average 30+ chapters on each, where most qt novels have 10-20 chapters per arc.

Also, each story seems to be a lesson in how to make a disfunctional relationship functional. I was especially impressed by the turn-around in the second arc.

The one part of the... more>> novel I thought was a bit disappointing was the ending.

I wished the author allowed the main character to own his prisoner character more. I felt that his crime was unnecessarily made to be something sympathetic, which doesn't really match his original unrepenting character setting. The reason why no other hosts could touch him was that he was so hardened and unwilling to connect to others. How did he suddenly become a secret avenger? I think his transformation, and the whole story arc, would be more meaningful if we could see just how much he improved.

MC: a rising college student that got hit by a flower pot and fell into a coma

ML: a mysterious man that shows up in each of the MC's transmigration and falls in love with the MC

Like many quick transmigration novels, the themes/plot lines may be slightly repetitive, but each arc is still fun to read and translations are superb.

... more>> I really enjoy reading about cute protagonists/cute characters, so the MC's character setting perfectly matched what I was looking for.

Overall:

The novel is relatively sweet and fluffy, with a happy ending in each arc! <<less

QT’s can get very repetitive but I feel like the number of arcs here was just enough. I cried during every arc but thankfully MC manages to shoot himself in the foot and turn it into a happy ending every time. I do wish that after getting my heart ab*sed like this every arc that I could see more of their fluffy ending.

Also, it’s such a shame that system didn’t make an appearance during the last world, but hehe its little extra is so cute, I hope we can see... more>> more of him from the author. <<less
