Hajime Toumachi… I am a second-year high school student. No hobbies, no special skills. I don’t even have a girlfriend, let alone friends.

After realizing he has nothing to offer, he sets out with a single-minded determination to change, launching a thread on a forum.

From then on, he earnestly responded to the absurd requests on the bulletin board.

However, he failed to notice.

Before he knew it, the favorability ratings of five girls had skyrocketed.

“…My hair has turned rainbow-colored.”

Change, This Novel is about changing.

This is truly a great novel.

There something human about all of the characters.

Spoiler

That also includes the forum, something I thought was almost impossible to recreate unless you have actually multiple people interacting with eachother.

[collapse]

Every character have flaws and holes, and that made them even more human.

This isnt a story about an op MC, a handsome MC, or even talented MC.

This is a story about Changing. And a good one at that.

10/10

Must read.

I adore this. I truly do...

The MC realises at some point that the worst he can do is embarrass himself... that's it !

It's kind of becomes his superpower once he realises it there is little to lose compared to his already bad baseline... so may as well go big.

Very nice vibe to the novel and I love that there don't seem to be truly malicious people so far. Just different ppl doing different things.

Honestly a cool little novel about a high-school boy trying to change himself by letting forum users choose things to change about him. So far you can see him change little by little and other people start noticing it in the story, mostly his classmates he sees randomly. Would recommend.

I came looking for a copper, and I found gold. This meme perfectly described my thoughts when I read this novel. Seriously, I love watching how the MC decided to be a better human, decided not to be a loner anymore. He asked the community on internet how to be a better human, then he did what the community told him wholeheartedly. And it's so good to see the reaction of the people around him. I'm so invested in him even though I only read 38 chapters. I can clearly... more>> see the character development from early chapters.

This is unrelated, but I can relate with him so much because I once did the same thing like the MC did In the past, though not to the point of changing my hair's color to rainbow. And I can relate to when people looked at me differently than before, and then they asked me to hang out with them more than before <<less

It's not great, honestly. Tons of issues and convient plot devices such as everyone seemingly having perfect timing of going to the exact place the protagonist is when he wants to go somewhere new but overall, I really just dig the vibe of the novel. The way the protagonist just kind of does things for the sake of doing them, despite there being nothing really holding him to do so makes the novel and him endearing. While a lot of parts of this novel aren't great, I like it's message... more>> of just going and doing things simply for the sake of trying new things and seeing what sticks. <<less

The phrase I would use to describe the protagonist's actions in the novel is "Drastic times calls for drastic measures". The synopsis for the novel is very accurate to the actual plot.

I enjoy the light-hearted tone and fun concept the novel uses. Misunderstandings don't last very long because the MC is very proactive about asking for help from his internet friends, which I think is relatively new to the genre. Another thing I like about this novel is that everything isn't magically solved in a single conversation. For example, ... more>>

.

Something I don't like about the translation is that it follows the JP light novel dialogue structure to a tee which makes it difficult to know who's speaking or what they're saying. In the original text, this would readily apparent because of the Japanese language's extensive honorific language to denote status. These denotations are lost in translation to English, and it would be much better if the author started modifying the text with English dialogue sentences.

E.g. : "He said, "Cross the river."

To that statement the woman replied sarcastically, "Who are you to give me orders?"

"Your father.", the man replied. <<less

This novel is a heartwarming story about an MC that simply wants to become a better person, he explored various hobbies, went out of his comfort zone, and through this he managed to make connections by gathering his courage and talking to people his past self wouldn't.

Reading this will inspire you to pick some new stuffs yourself, because seeing the MC improve every chapter in a realistic way is a real treat.

been a while since i've been this hooked in a novel.

About the MC trying to change fr the better good. Faces challenges head on and avoids the annoying cliche that makes you want to grind your teeth in frustration. Overall a solid read that is wholesome and the character development of the MC is just fun to see.

At first I thought this was some generic slice of slide that's pack with events and all but surprisingly, it's quite pleasant

this just feel like reading about a guy who exploring new hobbies and trying out new things (though they're mostly from a forum), the romance is subtle, not that overwhelming. Overall a 4, good as a short read but not deep enough to be a romcom or romance oriented story.

A rather heart-warming story about a high-school boy trying to discover who he is and what he wants to do with his life. This is initially started through him having an online forum decide for him. In most cases, this is a terrible idea and is as chaotic as expected, but the online forum aspect evolves into a community anonymously supporting his journey.

As a warning, I'd say this novel is about 60% harem content involving the girls who's attention he starts to draw. Some are more more noticeably fleshed out... more>> than others but I haven't run into any I particularly dislike as of yet.

The only things I have issues with are the unlikely amount of frequent encounters with the girls he manages to stumble into and whole chapters dedicated to retelling events from the perspective of the girls. The latter does help flesh them out from being too 1 dimensional and the daily uploads helps avoid any burn out due to them, thankfully.

Overall, I find this series a relaxing and refreshing read that inspires me to try enjoy my own life just a little bit more. <<less

I absolutely love this novel. If you like to see some character development in your main character then this is the perfect novel for you, as the main character slowly change himself for the better at a cheap price [of course] without having too much of a personality change where it would feel like he a different character.

The romance is nice and his relationship with his group of anons are fantastic to see.
