Ner.... is sooooo mmm. Okay first thing, freedom. She feels suffocated in MC house, thats why he took you out and introduced you to other. Her love for her family is kinda crazy tho. and then the prejudice against human (polygamy specifically) you literally told him to marry Arwin hell god damn hypnotist. (BUT THATS PROBABLY BECAUSE SHE'S A WOLF AND I AS A MERE HUMAN CAN'T UNDERSTAND HER)

Arwin... hasn't read, she seems like the prideful type.. is it another denier then?

i like it so much that I couldn't wait for the slow as a snail translation to catch up and read the mtl... And imo it takes a bit of a depressing tone.

MC reunites with the childhood lover around c120 and even after the misunderstanding is fixed, their reunion turns into something that's depressing and ngl it left a lump in my throat. But the situation in this novel is quite realistic even though it's a fantasy lol. The arguments between 2 wives and their way of trying to one up each other is.... Well... Not a comedy at all.

So the author does an amazing job at painting the characters story and misunderstandings. I'm not typically one for harems, but I read some of the comments and decided to give it a try. I've gotten more into the raws and what I can tell you is that mid way through, you will be sick of all of the heroines (not that they're bad character wise and/or story wise.... you just won't like them) and you'll consistently wish for a BL with Adam, as honestly he's the only one that... more>> could make Berg happy at that point 😅. In any case, it's a good read and I recommend giving it a shot. <<less

These characters are excellent. “Misunderstanding” is both perfectly accurate and almost perfectly not the meaning usually intended by the tag. The story’s action and adventure aspects are almost completely unimportant, and the tension of the story has very little to do with combat.

instead, this is a brilliantly made ball of dramatic irony, and communication from a place of trust could make it all be workable and there’s so many good internal reasons that they just can’t have those conversations, not in the times they should be having them.

I love me... more>> some harems and I love characters honest about wanting what they want; it’s impressive to me that we have a harem-reluctant MC trying to do his best stuck in one and ready to go for an opportunity to break it apart.

Oddly heart touching start, kinda broody, but really plays with your feeling. Will have to see how the actual marriage shapes up. But the beginning is off to a great start in terms of emotionally investing myself into the characters.

what a ride it is! Truly the definition of you don't know what you are missing until it is over. Fully hooked on the story! If you can take a bit of a slow start (worth the characterization in my opinion) then this is the novel... more>> for you. Its like the spicy food you keep eating even though it makes you tear up and sniffle.

Dropped at chapter 178 because I lost interest. What kept me to this point was the fact that, unlike in most other stories we see here on NU, we had actual relationship development.

Sure, the way he gets married to his wives is super convoluted and it's full of convenient things for the plot to happen. There's also a lot of misunderstandings and characters not saying what they really think or feel. Another thing is the author tried to make the MC a chad/alpha/sigma (you know what I mean), which is... more>> better than the wimpy and cowardly protagonists we usually see on romance stories, but sometimes he comes across as too forceful and a bit of an a**hole.

But despite that, I still kept reading, and I think the story peaked at around chapter 100 or so. The relationships were developing steadily at that point and I was looking forward to how things would turn around. But then came the "main plot" of saving the world and all that... I don't think anyone that picks up this story is interested in that and it's a really mediocre execution. Sure, it moves things along, but also kind of kills the pacing.

And the nail in the coffin to me was the everything surrounding the abolishment of the polygamy. You see it coming from miles away (it's literally spoiled in the blurb and the prologue) and there was no subversion whatsoever. I was expecting a train wreck and it happened exactly like that. My main gripe is the way the two wives are essentially the same character. They have different backstories (but not really, in the end you could call it traumatic family related past) and different personalities (again not really, as they are both hiding their feelings and misleading everyone in the same way), but their characters develop in the exact same way and they make the exact same mistake. The author had a chance to make them different, but that would break the dynamic he was going for, so he stuck to it to the detriment of the story.

I have read another of this author's stories and have come to the conclusion that he has bad taste. In both cases, the "main girl" is (IMO) the worst and most toxic.

I have read a few chapters past this debacle and I'm pretty sure that everything will work out in the end, but I completely lost the motivation to continue. The fact that I'm pretty sure there's more "main plot to save the world" before then is another contributor to why I'm dropping it. Still, it's rare to have a harem that bothers to dedicate screentime for relationship development, so it has that going for it. <<less

It’s been a great journey. I’ve been following this author’s work for a while, and unlike previous works where dramatic situations were stacked one after another, this time everything was more spaced out between each event—and honestly, that gave the story a really good flow. Honestly, the only thing missing was more chapters, because everything was a joy to read. Excellent story, and I’m looking forward to this author’s future works. It was worth waiting for the translation—congratulations to the translation team!

This novel delivers some great drama—the kind that actually pulls you in emotionally rather than being over-the-top or irritating. The characters are solid, with a mature MC and a supporting cast that's decent overall. The story does a good job building relationships in a way that feels real, with little moments sprinkled throughout that make them tangible.

What makes this stand out is how it uses the harem as more than just wish fulfillment. It's a tool for creating tension, drama, and conflict that drives the story forward. You'll find yourself... more>> rooting for the MC as he deals with tough emotional challenges and makes mature, difficult decisions. At times, you might even wish the harem wasn't there, but it's what keeps the story moving and makes it worth sticking around.

The translation quality is also very good and I like the flow. Overall very recommended. <<less

Honestly very well written and I was very suprised to see the MC being his own person and not a reincarnator/regressor, we get to see the MC as his own person going through all this for the first time without any preset personality if you get what I mean. Also a shock that the MC is not op asf on par with the hero or demon lord, bro is just a very strong guy but not peak humanity. The romance with the females is so nice how cuddly and intimate... more>> they are without it being 18+. Sadly as someone else mentioned this novel is gonna be milked and prolonged for 100s of chps so ima have to drop it cause I want to see actual progression and not this slow burn stuff. One of the type stories I hate the most is misunderstanding story (especially romance genre) because I know the formula:

1. The heroines did something,

2. The MC misunderstand & offended by it and didn't try to communicate it,

... more>> 3. Trying to guilt trip the heroines,

4. Heroines realizes their mistake and regret it.

5. Profit.

This is the same with the author's previous novels, 'Why Are You Becoming Villain Again' and 'Pretending To Have a Girlfriend', all of the problem stemmed from the misunderstanding, that could be solved with communication, and the MC trying to guilt trip the heroines to make them regret it. I'm more interested with the MC friendship with his hyung in the mercenary group. <<less

This is not bad, but it's just that 6.9/10

if you are looking for Harem novel than I guess you can read it?, But otherwise look for something else

The 'Good' part about this novel is the interactions between The MC and his Wives,

but Even that in my point of view is a bit lacking.

And everything else is supbar form the World building to The Action.

note : The Translation is Good so Hats off to the translator.

The emotions are very well written but I couldn't really enjoy it.

I didn't like the heroines. They and their backstories are all well written. But they can't say f*ck it all, I will do whatever I want. They are gonna be sad until the MC comes and makes it all better. The heroines are gonna cry in a corner till then. The author gotta write emotional scenes.

It starts off strong and the narration was great for its pacing. It showed a lot of detail in what was quite a long timeframe. While the plot itself was predictable, it didn't matter much since the characters' expressions more than made up for it. The problem started when the pacing got excruciatingly slow. We have the same level of detail but it lingers on the same scene, the same dialogue for like half of the chapter. And then two scenes later it's the same scene but just one... more>> day after. The novel keeps on reinforcing and reiterating the same notion again and again, it felt like I was reading all those chapters for nothing. I'm writing this review because I was finding it hard to keep on reading and wanted to let the built-up frustrations out. I'll still give it more chance and see if the pacing gets better, but as for now it's gotten to be such a pain to read. <<less

Love every single character. And it has one of the things that I like the most but barely see in novels, mangas, movies, etc. Which is bromance (no homo). And it is great.

The prologue is one of the best, I f*cking love it. I can feel how heavy their love for eachother is.

The MC harems are also surprisingly good characters, watching them deluded themselves into thinking they

aren't head over heels for Berg is great!

I decided not to score it in light of how little of the novel I read. I will, however, offer a few thoughts on what I read so far.

First of all, there's a stereotype that Korean novels are the best (there are many shitty Korean novels, but they generally have a higher quality in terms of plot and such), and this novel seems to uphold this stereotype so far.

This story is definitely written well so far. The harem is also something with a very good and smart premise (and not... more>> some random oh-he's-the-mc-I'm-so-wet wish fulfillment nonsense). There's clearly going to be a lot of drama, and the author is good enough at hinting at various future subplots (and the translator is good enough to preserve various nuances).

My gripe with it is that the author clearly is a bit lacking in terms of knowledge of women and successful relationship. To be exact, he knows women good enough to write superficially good characters and give them depth, but he doesn't fully understand the inner workings behind various things that women do and say (he knows what, but doesn't know the whys). He also knows the ups and downs of relationships, but doesn't fully understand where those come from (they come from the whys I mentioned in the previous sentence). I've already read it all about MCs who are dense or merely appear experienced with women (but actually don't understand them, because the authors don't understand women, either), so I'm tired of such novels.

On the other hand, this novel still excels among those so far, and the novels I'd like to read are pretty much nonexistent, be it on the internet, or on paper, so you can just consider this a pet peeve of mine (though it's not really about anger, more about boredom and failure of suspension of disbelief when these relationships work out).

I will probably return to this novel in up to a few years, when it's fully translated, and maybe the review will change at that time. <<less

It's a tragedy of misunderstandings. Lots of emotional pain and romantic moments of tender love with some combat scenes sprinkled in. Mostly character focused and internal dialogue heavy. Writing's good enough to make you cry when the sad flashbacks occur. The story breaks you, then rebuilds you just to break you again, and you will thank it because there's payoff.

MC is not a simp. Just a scarred person with a profound sense of duty to move on forwards with his new life. Second female lead is the best girl.

One of the best prologues I have read in awhile, brought a tear in my eyes, it was heartwarming ang bitter sweet. I honestly wish this story would stay with one female lead since the two have pretty solid chemistry.. But alas the title itself screams HAREM.. I just hope the author does not mess up on how the star crossed lovers will make this relationship work in the future when all things are done..
