Very good novel. FL is has a kind of innocence and shamelessness. The other characters and relationships are not always what they seem on the surface. So the plot was a surprise a time or two.

She is betrayed by Gu Xi Ju. I think later he regrets it and misses her since he thinks she's dead. Her dad is Bai Yue Sect Leader. It's a big mess of the elder generation behaving badly (eye roll). ML is He Qing Lu. It was a big surprise since I thought he was the second male lead for sure.

I had a hard time relating with the MC at first. She was a dimwit who only obsession was towards finding handsome men. But then she changed. I love her so much in the second half of the story!

The translations are perfect, 10/10. Thank you translators and editors

I loved it! Three years after I read it, it's still on my mind. I loved the ending, she deserves peace.

At the beginning it's hard to sympathise with her and it takes a while to accept her, but I thank everyone for the reviews that advised us to keep going.

Interesting novel about a naive girl brought up in the unorthodox sect pretending to be evil. A girl who dreams of being atypical beautiful female lead wooed by a handsome male lead. But her naivety and dreams came crushing down one day. Growing up is painful but fortunately she found someone who truly trusted and loved her. At the beginning, the whole thing was a bit confusing but as you read on, the story starts to get clearer. This story basically tells us how not to get hang up on beauty, be it yours or others and that grass is always greener on the other side. What you think is good might not be for the other person, so don’t get all confused and end up losing and then regret it all over.

The translation is a bit weird, but it gets better and you get used to what I can only imagine is a Chineses inspired sentence structure.

It is quirky, it is fun and it will surprise you. Highly recommended.

This starts as a very light hearted and truly funny tale, about a girl that is sure she is the Chinese equivalent of a princess in a fairytale while she is actually in a Wuxia story of schemes and brutal martial art duels. Overall it was so-so for me. It has its entertaining parts and I also enjoyed the banters with the possible MLs. These guys weren't really the best and they're all obviously twisted. To be blunt, I'd say they're all yandere but the ML is 'decent' compared to the rest and he's just 'possesive' and tsundere at that.

Pang Wan is not the best FL out there. She's smart and fast learner but she's s*upid. She's heavily invested with her Mary Sue mentality and 100% on the track to pursuing that road.... more>> It may annoy and irritate everyone but just like what the previous reviews stated, she'll eventually get over it after one incident in her life that will eventually bring about her trust issues. Yep. There's character development but not really a deep and rich development. Still, it's a development that's leaning more on a positive side since it caused her to mature and set her priorities straight. However, she's still a kid—teenager. She might have changed her perspective and mentality but it can't be helped if she can't fully shed off her impulsivity, childishness, and selfishness due to pampering and doting of the ppl around her.

I actually like her interactions with the ML but to be completely honest I'm not really satisfied with it. I can't help but feel like I want more fluff! I need more content, you know??? I wanna read more about their married life. Kids. And honeymoon phase. Sighhhh.

I don't want to give much specific comment avout the ML bec it will probably spoil you but if, like me, you want to know early on about his identity then I'm dropping it down:

The ML is He Qing Lu. Yup. That tsundere and possessive guy who can't get enough of her but still acts smugly. Hahahahhahaa, he's cute guys.

Even though I know right from the start that he's the ML bec l willingly read the spoilers, I still can't help but like GXY. I like how he heavily dotes on FL but after knowing that he's a complete psycho *pwe! Nevermind.

I also feel bad for Nan Yi. I mean he's not the most likable character out there but ugggh the emotional sh*t he went through for that Mei Wu only to have that f*cked up truth.

I would go as far as to say that this was the best novel I have ever read. There is much character development (also for supporting characters). Additionally the story matches the title. There are a lot of twists and there are times you feel happy for the FL and enjoy some fluff and times where you want to cry. The characters are very human-like and I'm just stunned.

it was different from typical plots. I didn't get to enjoy it because of abruptness of the plot and not fully satisfactory ending, but still the plot and ending was realistic.

The excellent thing about this story is that the ending is not being dragged out. Although some things could be developed further, and some important points in the novel could be done with much more impact, I still believe that it's one of the higher quality fML transmigration/ancient setting in NU.

It ends perfectly at where it supposed to end.

A totally fun read.

4.5 stars.

This novel starts out pretty light hearted. I must admit I was slightly disappointed with the beginning since not much was going on. I even considered dropping the novel but I'm so glad I kept reading it.

I was totally surprised at how GXJ tried to kill PW eventhough things seemed to be going so great. It wasn't crystal clear who she actually ends up with in the beginning which kept me on edge and but I'm so glad it was HQL. I was kinda disappointed at the end though because I was expecting a more extravagant ending where PW would take revenge in a grand manner but it wasn't totally disappointing. The way GXJ was continuously waiting for her to come get her revenge was also a kinda revenge. Overall the ending was satisfactory.

Both novels from Ying Zhao that are available in NU are so awesome. Really, really hope that there's more translated masterpieces from this author since the author's amazing and knew what they're doing and all.

This novel made me laugh, made me hope, made me crazy and at my wits end but at the end, made me satisfied. This is one of those novels akin to your first crush/love, unforgettable and leaves a feeling of giddiness.

Really recommended. People don't know what they're missing out on.

I was about to stop reading when I just read the first two chapters but I decided to believe the translator and continue reading and I am really glad I continue to read until the end. Oh man, that is what I call a roller coaster ride. This story totally worth it. Even though at first I am pretty annoyed at the Female character but at the end I kind of like her. This is an awesome novel you should really give it a try why?? Simply the author is a damn good to write emotions in other word it plays with your emotions cry when you should laugh when it's time to and also lost hope in the deepest dark sea.

I give it a 10/10 I'm sure not just me who thinks the same and more certain you also will like it.

very interesting. At first I almost lost interest but as you read to the chapters its getting interesting by minute. Full of twist and turn. Drama & comedy complementing each other. You will be happy&fluppy the next sad then happy again.

this is not bad. Just dont look interesting at first. Continue to read till the end and you wont regret.

One of the best I read so far ❤❤❤??????
