One of the things I hated is the fact that MC was r*ped by ML and somehow that's okay cause they were both drugged and MC overcomes the trauma cause its the love of her life. Rolls eye. Lots of dubious consent things going on too with a person in a position of power abusing the subordinate. But well, things during that time isn't always easy and if I were trying to find a sweet love story I wouldn't be reading this. I just admire MC's strong will to live and her strength in surviving a cruel world.

In my perspective, it seemed that the fact ML caught princess cheated and had s*x with another woman after their wedding, really scarred him, rather than him being homophobic. It was mentioned that he’s deprived of love and really looking forward to the marriage but was juked when she cheated. For princess Jin, most of the characters were accepting of her being gay when she came out. Like no one was even concerned. And it was told later on that she was the one who was disgusted, disgusted to be marrying a man. She cannot accept him either. So there’s no friendship that some readers push for.

It says he's disgusted after seeing his wife with a female lover. His disgust makes sense later on when you see how much he hates people using him and how his wife pretty much married him knowing she'll never want to give him kids or be intimate

while FL was in the room thought that ML was not around so she called an old woman and ask for advice for the thing she was worried about. Then after the doubt a while the she decided to follow the advice to her and she do that thing.. 🤭... Unknown to her and while she's focus doing that thing, the ML was on his way to FL place. When ML stepped into the hall, he heard bursts of forbearance 🤭. He couldn't be more familiar with this voice, and his instant rage swept all his senses. When he reacted, he had already lifted the propped up bedding, and the beautiful scenery under it caught his eyes 🤭.

Hahaha... Still ML was mad then after FL confess.. ML continued what FL doing 🤭

I thought our ML was going to adopt our female leads baby boy as his own. I was kinda upset to find out he's apparently actually the baby's father and that brings up so many questions that I can't even bring myself to read on to get answers for

He expect so much from his wife, his wife is famous and beautiful. But what he get after married, her wife disgust with him. Then entangle with another woman which is his brother wife. Don't say he's a s*um for not tolerating a lesbian. This is not a modern era and he's a proud son of the emperor, which is normal for him to feel humiliated and betrayed by his wife. He actually still give her status, but she still act smarter try to kill FL when she's in labor. But after that she's (ML's ex) letting go, being peace with herself, and happily adopted a child.

FL is a bit pushover in early chapters, well she's just a simpleton and typical village woman. You can't expect her to do big like any other FL in other author novel, it's different. They all live two lifes which is long enough to get them smarter. While FL, she has no background, lack of education, and lack of experience (her past life she's only live 1-2 years with ML and he always bang her all the time because of certain poison). She gradually learn to do things by herself with ML teaching her, like how eloquent she is dealing with the mother of princess Jin when try to harm her son. And also when she's dealing with his sister's mom in law, she's trying her best to learn.

Xiao Bao, both MC first child. I sort of have a spot feeling for smart little kids like him, who also live in two lifes and manage to make it into his advantages. I like how he's coaxing people around him and how he's acting towards his father. He's very fillal towards his grandpa emperor. When those princes try to commit regicide to grandpa emperor who got coma from poison, he insists accompany him to watch over those uncles, and everyday he read book of fillial piety out loud for his uncles to hear it.

I also like how those little dumplings of both MC are very fond of their grandpa emperor, they all taking care of him a lot making him relaxed. (FL also cook folk food for him all the time).
