Mason was a mercenary, until the day he died on a mission after being betrayed by his unit.

At the same time, there was a Hollywood actor named Haley Lusk. While famous as a child actor, as an adult, he grew addicted to drugs and s*x. With a nasty personality and sub-par acting ability, Haley was disliked, yet he still confessed to Noah Raycarlton in front of the world causing him to be hated by most people. Then one day, he suddenly had a heart attack and died.

Noah Raycarlton is the young CEO of a big company. Though not a celebrity, his mother was an immensely popular actress. Due to his good looks and kindness, he is loved by everyone.

Mason thought he was dead for sure, but he woke up in the hospital full of people he didn’t know. They told him that they were his family and called him Haley. He was so confused, and people told him that he had a heart attack due to overdose and died for a while.

He realizes that his soul went inside of this Hollywood actor Haley Lusk, and he decides to live a second life. But because of things that Haley did, he has a difficult time with Noah and other people. Mason finds out right away that in his old life, he knew Noah as a child.

The best. I really love this story and even until now I'm still waiting for more special chapters because I still can't get over the fact that it's "the end".

It's worth reading so give it a try. Don't give up on it until you read a few more chapters cause you'll find out just how amazing this is.

I can't give a proper review because I honestly don't know how to put my feelings for this story into words. I just want to recommend this to readers out there to give... more>> it a try.

Well I like almost everything to this novel especially the MC and Noah. Character development was good and the plot was not rushed nor slow. The MC was strong willed and realistic. I like how he was consistent throughout the story but of course except when he was with Noah. I also love how Noah was so possessive. And gosshh the tease was so good too, the yummy part definitely leave me satisfied. And did I said goossshhh Noah was so >.< kyaaaaahh..

The only thing that could be improved was... more>> when that moment from their past has been repeatedly focused on some chapters. For me, it has been emphasized couple times that it kinda lost focus on the here and now emotion and event of some chapters.

Overall, it was a good and light read. And i'll definitely reread this one. <<less

Have the same premise of True Star where the MC died and reincarnate in another actor's body usually a no longer famous child actor. But with a twist, the MC is much more calm and collected with his life compare to MC in True Star and more badass due to his previous profession. An awesome read and very recommended

In the start I like the plotline of MC being transmigrate from a mercenary to a s**tty drugiest. The original owner was pitiful himself. I like MC actions, movie shoot and rebuking the original 's family. For ML I can understand his obsession with MC due to past trauma. What I don't like ML says MC is his god but in s*x scene he don't have any regard for MC pleasure. Left the pleasure, he even gave MC the feeling of torture. He is going on even if MC faints.... more>> And he used such a vulgar language for MC new body. I couldn't take in it. In the end its mc's body now. His thoughts is also like what I su*cide after raping him. Okay it was thoughts. But now he is not leaving u. There should be a treatment for ml.i have read all the main story and first side story. But I don't find there is self assurance in him or he is trying to change himself for both persons happiness. For MC as he come in the body of original he started getting ML 'wet dreams. His protectiveness for ML as his saviour and MC wet dream is only the base for his love to ml. Sorry for my bad English. <<less

This is actually not bad. The only thing I didn't like about this is the r*pe. The way Noah forced his way to Mason numerous times and sometimes without even lube; it's repulsive and nauseating to say the least. But, I read the tags beforehand so I expected this. This novel still gets 5 stars for me. I want to give it a 4-star rating, but there are really really good dialouges between the MCs that I think will be hard to forget. The idea of this story is ordinary, typical transmigration. It was okay until the scene of the first s*x. Mason basically wants to save Noah, but the guy become s*upid the moment he's in front of ML thus come with lame excuse. I said it lame bacause it was so clear what the author want to happen next: sex. For Mason being so clear about how the world works, come with naive excuse is disappointment. Other than that the ML is typical black-belly domineering self centered person. You may... more>> blame his past for his abusive and obsessed personality, but this is mean he hasn't cured at all. No character development. Then, this wounded wolf run around sharing his wound to another, MC. He treated MC as he pleased, making the MC his God but do him like s*x s*ave. He behaves like gentlemen and f*ck like a beast. Is it sounds sexy? Well depends on perspective. For making it clear, MC is not born gay it is a new world for him. Yet his lover was manipulative and self centered.

From all the s*x scene, never MC enjoyed for his pleasure. S*x here just for ML's need. <<less

This was a good story. Well written and very well translated. I had three issues with this story:

  1. The romance came out of nowhere. There was no build up to it. One minute they were fighting and the next they together, no build up at all.
  2. The two almost r*pe scenes. Like damn, how Noah almost r*pe you twice but you stil got together with him without any issues or talking it out.
  3. This story was short af. The main parts left me hanging and wanting more but denied abruptly. The side stories didn’t satisfy my need for more. They just raised more questions that would never be answered.

I quite enjoyed it at first as it looks promising but I got problems with this one. First off, the translation. It was legible enough and the grammar was mostly there but the tranlator clearly does not know how to write a book or a novel. Some conversation was not even made as convo but just put up like its a narration. The paragraphs are messy to the point that it hinders you to understand the story more.

Apparently, even 15 chapters of that 21 is long enough and it looks like the author was just stalling things so it can reach more chapters that he can forcefully extend to, I was really disappointed with how the story was just like a one singular plotline and it clear how the story will end, the thing I was most disappointed was there are clearly a lot of avenues to explore and side plot to create with how the premise was made but I have to spend chapters on things that was redundant for the current plotline.

I also don't like how the MC's characters was subtly inconsistent and there are times that he was out of bounds on his character. He's a mercenary but for plot convenience he acts as a newt. <<less

awesomeee!! It was a bit serious in the first few chapters and surprisingly long that I had that thought to drop it all, but mann it just kepp getting interesting and boom! It feels like watching a movie, at least I saw it in my mind and the extras, my god I love them all. The novel has great setting and plot, it just the extras are not complete yet, at least not until today. I will definitely read this again when it's all done translated.

this novel would be amazing if noah went to therapy and had zero relation to MC's life because he's abusive tr*sh lmao. Like, , , yeah he clearly has lots of repressed childhood trauma that set the development for his whole personality today- but like I don't give a sh*t lmao. Tbh, i'd be really okay with noah being such a prominent character if his clearly questionable mental health was addressed and insinuated to get better through acknowledgment and help. But it's not. Like. No he's just. A selfish ass... more>> who has a very glorified and 2D perspective of the person he allegedly loves.

and also, I'm not victim blaming mason at all for how he ends up falling into a codependent and imbalanced relationship with noah. However, I do blame the author in the sense that you set the foundation of his personality as an ex-mercenary, giving him an unashamed "i don't give a shit" personality, only to subvert him into a pushover who has no concept of right and wrong relative to himself (as you can see by how he's apologetic for noah being tr*sh at him). Like I get mason feels a sense of responsibility over noah, but i've never perceived that as love. Like maybe it's just me, but it never feels like mason falls in love with noah, and rather, sees him as his child charge. Kinda f*cked ngl. And this might just be me having certain expectations for mason, but I really found it strange that he just indulges in noah's whims, no matter how toxic they are not just for him, but kinda for noah himself. Like ex-mercenary with a steadfast personality becoming an underpaid babysitter feels very ooc in my head?

Right now I'm looking for sidetrack 7 onwards, which is very frustrating as it isn't available anywhere I'm looking. Other than that, This was a great novel, I've been having a hard time reading lately but I just gobbled this up. I love how nonchalant Mason is, I dislike characters who are overdramatic and get overly bored and frustrated with them and their dumb decisions, which is why I like the cool headed Mason. I also love how affectionate Noah become, although I wish they had a few more fluffy... more>> scenes, which is why I guess I'm looking for the rest of the sidetracks. <<less

This novel 's concept was interesting.

ML 's turn of 180 degree when he felt MC was Mason felt absurd felt he liked MC only for his body when ML didn't have any romantic feelings for MC. MC liked ML even without realizing it with the sense to protect him. But they did end up together. Good for them.

Now it even adapted to manhwa so gonna check that out Overall story felt thrilling.இ﹏இ

this is one of the first few novels i've actually read, and idk about you, but I'm a total sl*t for identity p*rn (where MC is hiding his/her true identity).

this novel really reminds me of the manhwa 'at the end of the road'. If you haven't tried it, do read it!! The MC is really cool, I didn't really like how it ended (abrupt and kinda confusing) but it was still good anyway.

there's r*pe in this story, and although it's HE, the gong/seme is kind of those controlling overbearing types... more>> but have a near-dangerous dependency and need for the shou/uke. The MC is pretty independent and cool, but he can't ever win against the ml. And turns out in the end everything was machinated by the ml, so it's a pretty dominated-by-ML story.

it's still a pretty good read if you're into the trope and are okay with the dub-con/non-con, and the smut scenes r hot lol. <<less

This is so similar to the webtoon At the End of the Road but like, the mercenary/superstar action version of it. Either way, I loved both. This was an engrossing, badass, suspenseful, binge-worthy read.

uhh, it's actually a bit hard for me, what to do, , , sigh.... From an objective point of view this is a great portrait of a realistic body/soul changing for the MC, from a ramrod straight mercenary (Mason) turn to a body of a sultry gay youth (Haley). Even though the soul is different, but he can not help with the original body too much, too weak and too pampered for his own taste. He doesnt show much of agility and badass movement like a mercenary he was. I... more>> understand because the body he uses is not suitable, and also the MC himself is repenting and trying to build a new normal life. So, yeah, I understand if the MC is not the kind of OP and badass chara here.

Even so, actually from subjective point of view I really wanted the MC to be a badass chara T_T You know, a mercenary uke is cool rightt? A cool, badass, and able to kick ass uke is cool right??? Having a strong and tough uke is cool right? right?? But it ended up with a typical uke body, that is pretty, weak, delicate, and sultry, sigh.... really a suitable uke for a good banging and papapa thing...

The ML (Raynoah) also has a good foundation for a character. Well, he's kind of a typical overbearing cold CEO like every reader loves nowadays, but he has a reason, so uhh, he's still better than average overbearing CEO ML chara. Though I hate it when he said some vulgar words and make the MC feel humiliated at first. Aaaand yess, that's one of the reason I feel a bit uncomfortable at the beginning, because the ML kind of insulting and humiliating the MC. Really, I was truly afraid when at one scene the ML almost r*pe the MC while insulting his body sultry reaction (can't help it since the original host, Haley, truly has a h**ny body T_T so Mason can't help his body reaction). I mean, I don't want them having s*x while the ML still wasnt sure if the MC was Haley or Mason, because the ML really despise Haley's sultry body and it's hard for me, you know I felt sad for the MC if he's r*ped while he's also being insulted. Fortunately they didnt do it though, they didnt do it until the ML finally sure that the soul was indeed Mason (the MC).

And another thing is the ahemm, the smutty scenes really are vulgar, ughh, I don't know how to put it, I have read so many smutty scenes in BL novel before, and yet I still feel that the smutty scene here is vulgar and I couldn't bear it, sigh.... can't help but skip it a few times. I think lately i've gotten used to read the smutty scene from CN novels, where they censored too much LOL, or too used to read a romantic and sweet s*x scene, so the vulgar one really make me uncomfortable, be it the acts or the words used.

But still, I really could understand the way the author make the MC and the way the author lead the story plot. From an objective view it's truly good, not the kind of amazingly written, but better than any modern BL novels i've read (where the usual dog blood drama, amazingly many misunderstanding, society acceptance, and family drama exist). <<less

I would have given 5 stars but the ending didn't satisfy me. I wanted a little more development in the relationship. It just broke the surface of the ML's mentality... which by the way, should have tagged this story as psychological. Outside of the romance, which was lacking, the overall story was good. Nice s*xual tension. Though there probably should have been a r*pe tag on this story ? that part didn't bother me too much, but it might bother others so be warned. it's been in my library for months already I got bored so I read it. Didn't expect this to be so fun. I totally regret I didnt read it earlier. But still so glad I found it.

the only thing that makes me sad is since december 2018 it still doesnt have an update.???

translator san... please dont drop this story its so beautiful to be drop... we love this story.

Hmm. I was expecting more, tbh. I couldn't immerse myself in the story because of the translation. It was quite mid and I was trying to keep up with my brain. However, I think part of it comes from the author.

It was okay. It has some unrealistic settings though.

Eg, the casual daily usage of helicopter. How??😅 Also, the part where Mason used an actual gun on the set with no criticism. I understand his intention but real harmful objects on a film set are dangerous! And such justification is low for that action. The award show and interviews, etc.

I love this story. For me te story is 4.5 star.

A bit of romance. Some difficult life choices. And even though Noah seems a bit too mentally unstable, I can really understand why he behaves this way and empathize with his character. (Many times when a character in a book is paranoid, unstable, a bit of a psychopath. However, the author is completely unable to provide an adequate backstory to support this behavior.)

However, you should know that the book does not focus only on the relationships between the main... more>> characters. And the story doesn't keep returning to the topic of Noah's mental problems.

There are other characters I liked. Some funny situations that made me laugh. A few scenes that are... well... xxx...

The only thing that doesn't convince me are the villains. (they are not badly made. They are convincing for this book. However, I had the impression that there was some last touch missing to make it perfect)

As far as I could understand, they acted on impulse and were careless at first. However, these were characters with experience and training in difficult situations and on the battlefield. In my opinion, their behavior was a bit poorly thought out. They seemed to have a plan. But it was Some Plan. no specific solutions to the situation they found themselves in. <<less
