I really really liked the whole story esp the game broadcasting parts haha as well as the netizens reactions to our shameless ML.

The dynamics for the pairing was also very well done with the MC being clung onto and him having to pacify the ML hahah.

Overall this is a very very cute story! Extremely suitable for people who love fluffy stories

Ahhhhh, so much sugar and fluffy my teeth are rotten.

Despite the story focusing more on the protagonists, you can't help but love the side characters who add comedy to the story. For example, Liang Liang's mom. She's such a gem especially

What a gem. Loved this story.

Game is called Arena of Valor, basically LoL on mobile. I have a weakness for gaming romances, especially ones where both people are strong and it's not the MC or whatever being an ignorant noob and being carried all the time. This story's characters are almost meme-like, it's like a parody but I can't even tell. MC is Mr. Perfect. Strong, handsome, absolutely OP, but with a loli voice. And ML is the beautiful one, shameless, lazy, clingy, emotional, but 2 meters tall. I loved... more>> the fluff when they were together, it was so sweet. I usually don't like when the MC and ML hide things from each other, but when the MC is "hiding" his background and other secrets, it's not in a bad way, and the gradual exposure of secrets flows smoothly. They got together pretty late in the story, but it didn't really seem to drag on like I thought it would. Got me a bit concerned when the MC and ML were deciding who was gonna be on top, but it all went well in the end. The side characters are all really cute, tho the bro-con sister annoyed me a bit at the beginning. Feels a little bad for the MC to not be able to resist her.

If anything, I got pretty emotional multiple times during the story. My only complaint is that the MC, at least relative to the ML, is much colder and emotionless. Note that it's all relative. We are able to see slightly his inner thoughts and that's how we know that he cares about the ML, but it's just miles behind the ML. The ML seems to be really fragile and insecure about his love for the MC especially with how perfect the MC is, but the MC is just not very good at reassuring him or giving him confidence that he really does love the ML. At least not until much later. This made me often feel really bad for the ML. Onions were sliced. That, plus the fact that he's quite tsundere, so he's often unwilling to admit his feelings. We were able to see the MC thaw out, but I would have liked to see more thawing and sweetness from the MC sooner, instead of in like the last 10 chapters. But it was still quite satisfying, and he makes up for it later. Also, I thought that the extras would talk about the potential other side couple, but it never happened. Quite curious. Anyways, loved it. <<less

This is great so far, and I can't wait until the MC and ML actually meet each other. I've never played a MMORPG in my life other than Runescape, but the author manages to describe the eSports game here in an interesting enough way that it's like a sports novel. I also love love love the fact that I first mistook the MC for the ML because he's described as a stoic male god - thank God for a confident, capable MC for once that doesn't need to be rescued... more>> and also isn't a white lotus! <<less

The story is funny and sweet up until they meet. 5/5 Then, it goes downhill fast. 1/5

The MC is bathing. The ML comes in naked, uninvited, steps inside the tub, stares and implies they can wash together. Instead of getting out, the MC prefers to kick the ML in the chest so hard that he spits blood.

The MC is invited to sleep in the same hotel bed as the ML when the hour is late. The ML keeps staring at the MC and doesn't stop when asked. The MC reacts to this by punching the ML so hard he faints and later has a black eye.

One of the stories YOU SHOULD READ WHEN YOU FEEL SICK...

This story really shatters the stereotype that Gong should be strong and Shou should be soft!!! This story is really a unique kind of masterpiece with strong characters 😭😭

I love how our Gong is super beautiful and shameless 😭 and how our Shou is super handsome and really super tough...

They got together so late! But trust me, I who hate slowburn even love this storyline.

My real world is too exhausting for me. And this story is really a cure that I can read before going to bed 🥹🫶

WARNING:

If you haven't played or watched any MOBA games then this novel is 'prolly' not for you as it may bored you as you progress to the story because a big part of the story gave a detail description of their actual gameplay.

I played and watched different MOBA games but not the actual game (King of Glory 'China' aka Honor of Kings 'International') used in the novel but even though I have the general idea in some parts, there are still some parts that is hard for me to visualize,... more>> like the champion's skills and animation, as I have no clue about the actual game.

So I can't imagine how others who haven't played and watched MOBA games can visualize the story if they have no concept about MOBA games. That's why I am giving this warning cause you might drop this eventually if you have no clue at all.

Kudos to the translator tho for putting too much effort on notes and images so readers can easily understand some parts. That is why I can visualize the champions they used in the novel and also my reason for giving this a 5⭐.

Regard to the story, it's cute and fluffy. No hard drama, no third party, no rainbow b!tch and conflicts are easily solve.

Plot revolves around school, inside the game and places they live at as both lead are college students.

About being 'abusive'.. My thoughts about that is

"isn't that typical for boys to be rough around other boys?"

Like how Liang is to Liao Su who also got a beating or two from Liang, he is the same with KK.

Regard to the "knocked out tooth" I can't blame Liang about that. If you read the novel properly it is stated that it is his body's reflex for being a boxer. He is sleeping when KK approach him to 'steal' a kiss. Anyway, read that part thoroughly and Liang also felt remorseful after hurting KK that much.

But there is one instance that I found him excessive and that is when they first met and he gave KK a black eye. 😂 I don't know what to say cause it is really is too much for him to punch KK. 🤷 Maybe Liang has a tendency to be abusive especially it says there that 'he cared little when his temper flared'.

What else? 🤔 Liang is way too perfect (except for his voice). Well, I just think of it as his protagonist characteristic. What can I say? It's fictional. 🤷😂 Imagine defeating players in high rank when you're just a newbie. 😂 Count it as innate skill just to save my self from overthinking too much. 😂 What I love about the story is how the Shou is more domineering than the Gong. How the Gong behave as a wife and act cute everytime. It's like, 🤔 in daytime the Shou acts as a typical CEO Gong but in night time the Gong is still the Gong.

I wished that the author made an extra side story for Linzi and Liao Su, I'm shipping them. 🫰 At first Liao Su is aiming for Linzi's sister but as they progress Liao Su is more close and sweet to Linzi than his sister. 🥰 I really thought the extra chapter is for them but 😮‍💨. <<less

after they become school mates. the ML become more shameless. especially the part he stole kiss that's why he got a punch and lost a teeth, he also lowkey assault the MC while his asleep (pretending to sleep), he want to touch the MC dck and he also put the MC hands to his dck. they're not in relationship and yet the shamelessness of the ML rose more. the ML characters become useless characters whenever he's around the MC. also MC becoming godlike characters, where everything he do, he can do achieve to do it

i feel pity to the other characters that girl younger brother (chuhan) . coz he always get 2nd place and his height always got joke upon because of ml's height. ML characters treating him are annoying too especially when he ask the other guy to right for him and yet make fun of him coz he's smart than him

ML sister is annoying too especially his brother complex at the start. I get they are biological siblings but she's touchy and touch his privacy just because she is older than him. her joke with his assistant where he make up story are not laughable. didn't find it hilarious

This novel is quite cute, and there are lots to like about it, but in the end, I had to drop it T.T not because of any sense of dislike, just because I was recommended another I really want to read and the sweet vibe of this novel--without too many ups and downs--is more of a self-indulgent read than anything else. As for the main premise? Ah, it's romance-centric! Slow burn. The MC is introduced to a game by his dorm mate and ends up running into the insufferable dork... more>> that is the ML. After witnessing the MC's skills and hearing his girly voice, the ML is inexplicably attracted and decides to add him as a friend to the game. By virtue of fate, even though the MC had no intention of meeting up with the annoying anchor (the ML) ever again, they find their way to each other again and again, though there are lots of potholes along the way.

And so there you go! There is some drama with the ML's career as an anchor. And, of course, because their meeting happens through the internet, there are lots of identity mishaps... lolol. But the story is mainly chill and sweet. Definitely slice of life. The thing that makes it so fun to read are the MC and ML's unique character profiles. They're both cute and hilarious in their own ways -- super charming!! The TL is good too. CG explains a lot of the game mechanics (which do come into play, and in detail too -- though it's not the focus of the story). Definitely highly recommended if you're looking to chill and watch two cute idiots fall in love.

CHARACTERS: 9.5/10

Although the novel does not have any big psychological revelations, it doesn't really need them! The unique character dynamics is enough to fill the screen~

You Lianxing (MC)

His personally is very Levi-like (from Attack on Titan) ! LOL, he doesn't speak much and is very responsible. He's the type of guy with a strict schedule. He's also 100% competent at all things. His gap moe though, rather than focused on height like Levi, is on his voice! despite having the bearing of a CEO, and bursting with handsomeness, his voice is soft and sweet~ So sweet that he's constantly mistaken as a girl if one doesn't see his face.

Kang Shenzhe (ML)

Lazy, big dog! As an anchor, he's very good at talking and is 10000000% shameless. However, rather than leaning towards foxy, he's more dog-like. IDK how to explain it. He's just silly and cute T.T His proactiveness and his height (he's suuuuuper tall), is the only thing that protects his Gong-status lolol.

ROMANCE: 9.5/10

The romance of this novel is particularly sweet. The development and banter (gotta love it when the banter is good~) are quite natural too. My favorite parts are definitely after feelings are revealed, the ML's shameless just explodes and it's hilarious xD.

SETTING: 6/10

As a modern day, gaming novel, there's not much to the setting. It's pretty typical. The game is also a real game, so there's no real uniqueness there hehe. As a reader, my good opinion of the setting is mostly on the illustrations provided in the CG TL notes... AJFSLKAFJAS anyway, the setting isn't the focus, so this category is definitely the lowest.

PLOT: 7.5/10

As a romance-centric plot, this novel relies heavily on the main CP, which is only proper~ Those two dorks deserve the spotlight. However, there's no denying that I ended up dropping the novel because the lack of any external plot made me lose interest. As in, as soon as the romance was pretty much established, I didn't feel the need to read the rest -- though I'm sure that there are some conflicts at the end (the author built up to it from the beginning), that conflict didn't really intrigue me enough to stay.

RATING: 4.06/5

Good read! Even if I didn't finish it, my opinion of this novel is pretty high! I'm going off to read another novel now, but I'll come back to reread this from the start another day~ There's no way I wouldn't come back for this cute couple -- and I highly recommend that you give it a shot if you're hesitating on it! <<less

One of my favorite novels! Also one of the novels I first read, totally worth it!

Was a fun read, I woud often wait very excited for the next chapter. I really like the characters involved, the stoy, its all very fun.

The novel is just so fluffy and cute. The author, Kang-dada has so beautifully portrayed all the characters and their respective character traits. Every characters are unique in their own. Even the commentary done while broadcasting, it captured different reactions of what would have the readers commented. The point of views of different people are portrayed in a great manner.

You LiangXing and Kang ShengZhe are really great and a unique pair in the world. I have never read any novel having similar characters. One seems stoic and refined while the... more>> other is indolent and so shameless, I sear to God sometimes felt like giving him a beating or just to go hide somewhere. But the love between them is so pure, they trust each other beyond doubt, even when situation arises, after calming down and thinking rationally, they are able to solve those problems in an efficient manner.

Liang Liang becomes so helpless and indulgent towards Ah Sheng, I felt like I would have got diabetes. The characteristic of Ah Sheng, especially to me, seemed so unique. He gave me a new outlook to life, honestly. They are just soooo cute.

The translation was done really nicely. Everything was explained with footnotes and even with pictures of the game's characters and its gameplay, and sometimes of the expression packs used in the novel by the characters (Lao Su 😂) which was really cute and entertaining. Translator Yuuki, amazingly tried to explain the game play, different roles and powers of the game characters, Chinese idioms, and even the Chinese references used.

Even for those who don't play such mobile games, it can be understandable to a great extent with the in depth explanation and the additional notes from the translator.

Ying Ying Ying Ying Ying, I still do not want to part with this wonderful novel. Happy 520×1314 to Liang Liang and Ah Sheng! <<less

SO. FREAKIN'. CUTE.

This novel is so fluffy and sweet and hilarious, y'all, I laughed out loud so many times at the characters' shenanigans. I love love LOVE the CP's dynamic, they're so cute together and the progression of their relationship is so good!! Highly recommend for anyone wanting a low-stakes, sweet, affectionate love story.

This is delightfully fluffy, cute, sweet, tender even when drinking vinegar, I love all of the characters who appear and they all remain very unique and distinct from each other. It's a satisfying contemporary read about online relationships and student life, with a little esports/celebrity/president stuff too. I would have liked Liang Liang topping, but (spoiler) he's kinda coded as as*xual and realizes he doesn't know how to get it up, which I have not seen done before so I'm not mad at. Also wishing the two jiejie meet and... more>> fall in love too, but that will have to remain my personal delusion! I love mess and things like face slapping rebirth danmei, but it's also really nice to read something like this too! The pacing is great, and I think both the author and translator did a good job. <<less

I love this Novel, not big Drama, sweet, the side character, the Familiy love. With (big) Gong streamer the shameless and cute is at the same time. With the shou President the indifferent but a bad (cute) temper. I have no idea how to describe it xD. The main point is, all the Chracters feel so real and the Story is really good. Dog food all over~. If you like sweet novel with little Games. This Novel you will definitely like it. And translator is good too, I understand everything.

This one was entertaining enough to keep me in my seat and ignore my assignments. It was not the best but it's undeniably entertaining. There are no major conflicts but it was still fine. This is something that you'll binge read but will never reread again. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it!

This story is sooo cute. It's a lightherted read, with masterfully executed tropes. It does indeed follow a lot of them but they're approched in a way that's different from usual and it makes your heart full. Normally even if I enjoy a story there's a few things I didn't like, not with this one. It deserves 5 stars and even more if I could give them.

This novel is superb!

Like truly SUPERB! I absolutely love the characters!!! 😩😩😩 Tho ML is shameless, it doesn’t reach up to the point of annoyance for me. Rather it’s cute. Paired with the MC who’s perfect but flawed when it comes to keeping up the convo but very DASHING in every move huhu 😭 IT. IS. ABSOLUTELY. SUPERB!

Nvm, both of them are handsome and dashing, and they conquered my heart so BAD it made me write a review.

The ML I give him full points on his innate meng-ability (if that's a thing) HOWEVER I really didn't appreciate no, I hated it when he goes way beyond what a person should do when I comes to another's personal space. It really isn't cute to want to push someone's buttons with no remorse mercilessly and I don't care that it lessened when the MC and ML got together. And yes, I agree that it's partially from my own experience so I really felt heartache for the MC especially since he's already had training in that aspect from home (｡•́︿•̀｡).

The mc's older sister is another headache as well but she still had her good points where she eased up being a bro-con though that was probably only because it was too late but I'll still applaud her for holding back. (◍•ᴗ•◍)

And not but not least; the SuLin side CP ༼;´༎ຶ ۝ ༎ຶ༽ AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I REALLY WANTED MORE OF THEM THEIR DEVELOPMENT IS SOOOOOOOOO FRIGGING CUTE (┛ಸ_ಸ) ┛彡┻━┻
