Traversing into another world, Zhang Xuan finds himself becoming an honorable teacher.

Along with his transcension, a mysterious library appears in his mind.

As long as it is something he has seen, regardless of whether it is a human or an object, a book on its weaknesses will be automatically compiled in the library.

Thus, he becomes formidable.

“Emperor Zhuoyang, why do you detest wearing your underwear so much? As an emperor, can’t you pay a little more attention to your image?”

“Fairy Linglong, you can always look for me if you find yourself unable to sleep at night. I am skilled in lullabies!”

“And you, Demon Lord Qiankun! Can you cut down on the garlic? Are you trying to kill me with that stench?”

This is an incredible story about teachers and students, g*ooming and guiding the greatest experts in the world!

Once again, a novel that relies far too heavily on the comedy trope, ignoring almost every single aspect that makes a good novel.

First of all, characters, one of the major problems that plagues this novel. There are two types of people in this novel. Highly impulsive, arrogant, rich, impatient, ridiculously vindictive, s*upid, and very gullible. This constitutes around 95% of the characters in this novel. The rest are characters who reverently praise the main character, they have no other significant character traits. With this explanation, I have just listed just... more>> about every side character in the novel, your welcome in advance.

Second, the plot. Somehow even worse than characters. The plot is basically two things in this novel. Absurd cultivation speed that defeats the purpose of having cultivation involved in the novel in the first place, and face-slapping. The main character constantly face slaps people, and people who provoke him usually have almost no reason to do so, they do it anyway. I mean, at least at the beginning they had a reason to provoke him, but the further along the story the more incredulous I got. He has such a high status yet people still are intent on provoking him. For example, early on he becomes a alchemist which, in terms of jobs, are basically second in status with the top being master teachers. Despite it not being a secret, and despite the fact that the news of the main character becoming a alchemist via the hardest way possible, people still try to find trouble with him. Furthermore, there is almost zero variation in the plot. It's just face slapping and the main character learning various ways he can face slap people.

The world building is meh. I've seen worse, I've seen better. I can't remember if they ever mentioned any other Kingdoms besides the one the main character was in, even though its been 165 chapters into the story. Aside from that it's okay.

Overall, this novel is pretty bad. The comedy is basically putting the main character in a awkward position (which is always avoidable) and the main character somehow face slapping someone. Theres no depth, I don't recommend this novel at all. <<less

Library of Heaven's Path is a really funny novel. There really isn't much for it other than the comedy, but the comedy is good. I recommend it if you want to have fun, but if you want your typical xianxia/xuanhuan you will be dissapointed.

The story had a potential but never lived to it, pity.

Being a cultivation teacher in a fantasy high school, a cool underdog protagonist with a very interesting power in several chapters begins eternal face slapping and uses his godlike powers to skip reading and learning activities. Actually, teaching is skipped too, with cheats.

Everybody complains about cliched arcs, but even all the catchphrases are cliched too and will be repeated time and again. It's a pain to reread all this in several dozens cookie cut face slapping scenes.

Now about humor. It's... more>> about your typical arrogant uncles accompanying genius young masters everywhere and a dense miserly protagonist without common sense who will miraculously humiliate them. Everything is exaggerated and may surprise you a little for the first time only. You will have several hundred repetitions of this though.

And now about the big mystical plot. The first time we had the foreshadowing of MC's big birth secret, I had the feeling that I won't like it. Well, I didn't. All the big mystical story is about MC's parents who lack the common sense too. Pity. <<less

That might be the worst webnovel I ever read. I like OP MC but here it is really exagerated. The protagonist face no challenge. He is an idiot, always saying "I should be careful and inconspicuous" and the second after doing something spectacular (it's supposed to be funny but I find it more annoying than anything else and the author use that "comic" situation again and again). You can only wonder if all the other characters are not s*upid for not being more suspicious. I'm used to repetitive plot but... more>> this is too much. If in MGA, the story repeats itself 4, 5 times in 3k chapters, here it's the same but in 200 chapters. And when I read the other comments, it does not encourage me to continue. I read bad webnovel but I never gave up on one however bad it is. It is a first. <<less

Hey,

first time I completed such a long novel. I'm 3k chapters in Emperors Domination and I wait for chapters in a few other really long novels, but they didn't end yet. The end is always difficult, for the author and for me. I like long stories I can get attached to, but I hate loosing them for the same reason.

Library of heavens path was a great experience. I'm not good at expressing my feelings so I will just make a list:

+ The story isn't to repetitive. Ofc there are... more>> things that repeat, and especially the first half is basically the same thing repeated a few times, but the second half is diverse and interesting.

+ The whole Teacher concept is rather unique and fun. I also like the World design and general story.

+ I like the characters. Little Chicken, the butler and the clone are a bit spicy. Kong Shi is alright as the overseeing Monk style dude.

- There are some stale parts.

- The end is a bit short. I would have liked a bit more build-up for the final enemie, but it also skips some weird plot armor that prevents the final boss from killing Zhang Xuan <<less

Given how the author can use 1 plot repeatedly, this is out of human standard. Even a normal human being would be bored if he does the same thing over and over, this author has transcended the real of human.

The MC is dumb, yes, he really is. He is also an ungrateful person. He legit went to destroy everyone 's treasures aftet being given the chance of trying them.

National blessed land??? F*ck it, he just destroy it for his own sake.

I cant believe that I managed to bring myself... more>> to read more than 600 chapters. This is the first time that I feel so frustrated reading a novel <<less

My intention for this book was just for a casual read. The first few arcs were massed with sh*t details and messy loopholes. I was always, "seriously?" & "really?" the whole time because there's a lot of inconsistencies BUT I decided to stick with it bec it's just a casual read. I did enjoy the face slapping at first and the student g*ooming (not the creepy g*ooming, k?) HOWEVER it gets tiring, eventually. It's always a recycled face slapping. It's literally the same scenario just different characters names, occupation, and... more>> place. I'm already @ ch1635 and I know that I'm almost done but I'll be dropping this.

I could've stick with it til the end if it weren't for the shitty romance. It was fine and bearable without it. Honestly. But they just have to stuff Rouxin and then mess the groove. It was fine when the girls were just silently admiring him and all that cutesy tsundere sh*t but the author just really have to go with the 'love at first sight' and 'heartbeat' type of shit. Come on. He was initially designed to be someone who doesn't get affected by looks but then he saw her and realized that she's the most beautiful he's ever seen and then fell in love. That really made him a shallow person. And he even starts to be crazy abt her and it honestly doesn't make sense given that they only have few interactions and conversations. He just became someone who can't live with her. Lol. The romance ruined it for me.

***SPOILERS AHEAD

THEN HE DID QIQI WRONG. TOTALLY WRONG. I don't care if they married til the end. I skipped to the side stories to find out how that escalated and dude???? Someone came and ask if she wants to marry him and she said yes but not willing to ruin the couple but then dude went 'say no more' and then rouxin suddenly asked her if she's willing then she says yes THEN rouxin said it's fine bec she's done so much for him then zhang xuan asked if she's willing then she said yes then they three married. EXCUSE ME??? WHAT TYPE OF sh*t IS THAT? It's like a gratitude marriage? What??? It's like they're both rewarding Qiqi. There's no even romantic feelings! What the hell? The author said it's bec there's a lot of ppl attacking her for doing Qiqi wrong WELL, HAVING HER MARRY HIM IS NOT DOING HER RIGHT. I'm sick of it. <<less

I rarely give bad grades but this novel has nothing suspenseful or emotions that make you read the next chapter, everything goes well for MC, he solves everything, always surrounded by good people, no one conspires against him. The comedy is good but you get used to it and you lose grace for repeating the same script, there are no fights, no conspiracies... he just keeps doing tests. For people who like an MC who doesn't suffer from a single problem, this is his novel.

Very light hearted novel, enjoyed the comedy even though sometimes it feels repetitive. My first Chinese novel, and I have to say that it isn't that bad, maybe it's because I have bad taste. It was interesting, but maybe not for many.

the thing that I know about this novel:

1.) The MC unknowingly offending some high ranking people, Everyone underestimates and tr*sh-talking the MC, the MC ignored everything they said, showing his skill, then everyone from before spurt a mouthful of blood

2.) Everytime MC got cornered, the solution always comes in the next paragraph

... more>> 3.) the Woman always misunderstanding to MC *except for his student

4.) Always breaking the record of some genius one in thousand years or something like that everywhere

5.) never let anyone to step on him, and throughly make them mental breakdown lol

however, the storyline is repeated <<less

This was a very fun read! The story line was well thought out and the overall pacing was great. Not too rushed, but no chapter felt draggy or unnecessary.

There were many moments that were humorous and you will find yourself getting involved with being part of the audience in the novels watching Zhang Xuan and his various accidental misdeeds and find yourself looking forward to the reactions of other characters when they meet him.

Despite the humor, the story also covers many emotional scenes, and we see Zhang Xuan growing from... more>> a weak person to someone who slowly finds his own morals and values, and builds his own character into one that is strong and righteous in his own way.

I would totally recommend giving this novel a read! It was a long journey, but every bit was an enjoyable roller coaster.

The only disappointing thing I have to say about this was how the story ended. It seems to be an opening for a new novel, rather than an ending to one. The romance in this story was close to nonexistent, I personally feel it could be better off without one, despite that being the driving factor of the plot. <<less

Ever since I have started reading this serie, I have never thought a single moment that the story was boring. The author always somehow made the story interesting from beginning to end. I have been following this novel since the beginning and I have always been most of the time up to date with the chapters every time they came out. Reading this novel became a part of my life. It brought my joy everytime I was sad or down and it was good to relieve stress. This novel was... more>> one of the very first that I have ever read. I wasnt much into novels before starting LOPH, but ever since, all I do now is read novels, im currently reading like 30 + novel and up to date with them. Where im going with that is, LOPH is the novel that got me into reading. It is one of the very best fantasy novel out there and a really good and interesting novel for starters.

Anyway, the story was overall really good, the characters development and relationship were really well made and described.

ALSO IM SO F** ING SAD RN THAT THE NOVEL ENDED NOOO Q_Q

well it was bound to happen eventually or else it would have been repetitive and not as good anymore. : ( <<less

A really good novel to read. Though there is little to nil romance the character development is really awesome. Yes, the ending will lead you to a cliffhanger possibly with a sequel to come.

To be fair, I disagree strongly with most of the 1 star reviews here. It is like they don't even know what genre they like, confusing between xianxia and xuanhuan.

Overall, it is a light and humorous story about Zhang Xuan as he strives to be the best scholar in the world. I give it a 4 stars because it is so entertaining.

I try to be fair with the review.

Good Points

  1. Spoiler
    • It is funny with alot of fun parts.
    • First 1000 chapters are the best.
    • Maybe repetitive but I call it consistency so there is nothing wrong.
    • No real villains. That is pretty refreshing.
    • No drama
    [collapse]
Pain Points (There are several but the good points are more overwhelming. These are what I dont like)

  1. Spoiler
    1. Few dialogues. Dont understand how Zhang Xuan and Luo Ruoxin can be together with no dialogue. There are several moments that they see one another but they act like total strangers and in a third party perspective. I will rank its romance as very weak.
    2. Power Scaling. In a short time, even his students level to be the best in the world, which is ridiculous. It was like 2 years? Consider that Zhang Xuan is a genius at 20 but his students are even more genius at 16. 0 star to 1 star are pretty rare at the start but suddenly there are so many 4 to 9 stars that it is mindblogging. At one point, the novel mention there are 3000 4 star master teachers joining Zhang Xuan kingdom. If there are so many master teachers then why the world cultivation can start so low? What I feel is that the later chapters destroy the feel good factor of the earlier 1000 chapters. The Saint and Ancient Sage cultivation level is its downfall.
    3. I may be chinese. But all the repetitive surnames of Luo, Mo, Zhang, Lu, Chen, Kong... esp the Luo and Mo are giving me a big headaches. There are more than 5000 chinese surnames and there are so many same surnames that it is ridiculous.

It's a comedy novel that made me laugh a lot. The bad guys aren't smart but I think this is one of the funny things about the novel. The protagonist's attitudes are also very funny.

This is a novel that I would recommend to anyone who wants to laugh without worrying about a deep story.

I finished reading the novel today and came to say that I was disappointed with the ending.

Spoiler

In the end Zhang Xuan marries Luo Qiqi too. At no point in the novel he shows a romantic interest in her. I was disappointed because I didn't expect the author to write a harem in the last chapter of the novel for nothing.

I would say nothing if the romance were built throughout the novel. But Zhang Xuan always made it clear that he only loves Luo Ruoxin and feels nothing for Qiqi other than a teacher's concern for a student.

[collapse]

I would give 5 stars for making me laugh a lot but the ending was really very bad and I hate. So I give it 4 stars. <<less

To judge a novel by reading a few chapters is like judging someone just by seeing his/her physical appearance.

I like this novel. It's very entertaining to read, and compared to the other face slapping, dumb characters from other chinese novels, I think it is rather mild; it still conforms to reality (of a fantasy world).

You cannot really predict the story like other fantasy novels where one can guess the ending and surprise, your guess is actually correct.

The only thing you might not like are some loopholes and some characters underestimating... more>> Zhang Xuan whenever he goes higher and higher into the society. <<less

A vicious cycle of... Face slapping, "can I browse your library", blood coughing, "by luck", "flaw 1, flaw 2 etc", arrogant enemies (a lot of em), dissipating wills, lies that somehow get believed, and misunderstandings that could almost always be averted if simple questions such as "who" or "why" were asked.

Why did I even read this far....?

Because I always think it'll get better...

It doesn't.
