This is why I say the cases were connected at least in a good way and it allowed to make the story develop and to have a chain efefct to reverse the positions of two step-sisters.

Melon 1. The actress who framed XCC. As I said XCC found that this actress was supported, but this is not the biggest melon that should be shocking, she was a mistress and the original wife committed su*cide, which was also uncovered later. The actress got the short end of the deal, because they messed with wife's medicine, so these revelations dropped shadow on Ye Shiwen as her friend.

Melon 2. Second melon is a pimping case of assistant director on the movie set where XCC who was promised second female lead asked to be a producer of the movie instead. And by the way found a way to remove Ye Shiwen as a female lead. YSW tried to reveal her audition clip, but thanks to reveal of the original session where director explained the character everyone saw that her acting is in accordance with these things, she can't be that good, plus the fact that she was in good relationship with assistant director and his pimping accident it dropped shadow on her participation in the movie. XCC lived at XZX's and her house, because original father did not want to support her, but had no idea that XCC herself was rich. Of course XCC didn't care. But at this time she took a shot of XZX and the two pets she bought. So it was positive news candy after negative news :)

Melon 3. Concerns Jin Yifan, XZX's cousin. Previously XCC expressed openly that she was a daughter of a mistress, but it stayed within the movie, but now in one episode XCC met another female enterpreneur who openly stamped Shiwen as a mistress' daughter. Because of her failing image Shiwen wanted to create the image of perfect Bai Fumei, but used property left by XCC's mother. The solidified image of Ye Shiwen as mistress' daughter was harder than a rock. Not to mention that because of his obvious betrayal she could take all the property back not reaching the age of 25 as stipulated in her mother's will.

Melon 5. In this period it was time for XCC's birthday but because of an accident XZX realized that XCC is the Lie Smasher, escaping from her husband they did have a small fun chase for a time, but at the critical point XCC could outsmart XZX :) In the end the both arrived at Hengdian and XCC was thinking of exposing Meng Ruyan, thinking that her boyfriend beat her. She disguised herself and entered as a make-up artist (because of her disguise when she and XZX were caught eberyone thought she's the girlfriend with shabby background and this image continued to circle before the final reveal much later). It happened that Meng Ruyan and her bf just have such fun to relieve stress, but true revelation was about a psycho actress, one of the wealthy family ladies. She targeted men, if they refused she'd use means to frame them and at their lowest point appear and have a relationship, because of this she was called a love brain, but the last person was different and refused, she wanted to accuse him of r*, but missed because XCC was smarter. She helped to get blood samples and recordings of Lin Xiao's actions and reveal all her previous transactions as a Lie Smasher. Pretty neat. I think this case was pretty exciting and unusual. But also it allowed the medicie Lin Xiao used to enter the picture, while Lin Xiao entered the game. Although her father promised to find Lie Smasher, but this was put on a shelf. At this time XZX was exposed with disguised XCC again, but XCC used her account to prove that these are same people. As a counter-attack she exposed the actor who wanted to discredit XZX (after all only SHE can expose him, no one else!))) cute) as one with many girlfriends. because this actor dropped the medicine in a bottle she delivered it as evidence. Again the drug appeared.

Although I agree there was a scene where I had questions how it changed, but anyway XCC managed to broadcast what was happening and soon the police arrived. This plot of a famous male idol who served as a bridge reminded me of another similar plot btw, but XCC managed to save the girl and mingled with the crowd, after all police by now knew who XCC was and protected her identity as conscious paparazzi, girls also helped to cover it in front of the public. They case was solved but involved other things as well. Because these drugs appeared here it was time for the one responsible to appear. But during the arrest some things happened and XCC actually realized that she cared about XZX much more than she thought. The story was also XCC's regret, because in her original world she had a sister Xia Lulu, who wanted to be an idol, but at the critical moment XCC was at other place and her sister tragically died escaping from those who wanted unspoken rules. This made original correspondent XCC turn into paparazzi and uncover those who hurt her sister.

Melon 7. There is a scene that takes place on a cruise ship that was vitnessed by a blogger and spread on the internet, titled cruise ship CP, confession of the wealthy. It's when XZX used drones to confess that he loves XCC and XCC took him to the same place and gave him an answer that she liked him too. I metion this because it will be used later :) While XCC and XZX enjoyed their underground marriage/love some things arrived at the door. The drug used to stun the girls had similar test results as XCC's mother, so here we find out the truth of the past and why her "father" doesn't like her. Because her biological father is a painter her mother met in another country, but after recognition he had a car accident, because Xia Yongde was adopted and showed sincerity at this moment her mother agreed to marry, both knew where XCC came from. But her mother died in a car accident too, so too many coincidences stop being such, but there is no proof. At this time Tiansheng signed one of the artists from her now demolished brokerage company, but this person has a story, XCC knew him from the novel and now she had to prove that he takes drugs. Note: I honestly forgot at which time Ye Shiwen sent a generated video to discredit XCC, but because she was found out she basically had nothing except love of Han Jialin, her assistant became a scapegoat in this case. She escaped because she revealed that she used surrogate mother to have a child of her and Han Jialin. Han family helped her out. So next was the reveal of this surrogate mother news. Of course Shiwen was completely blacklisted, but now she had no one except Han Jialin, but their relationship began to crumble and her ideal pitiful image began to crumble too. The surrogate mother lived then at Han's and because her relationship was almost over she and her mother, who were chased out of Xia family btw... oh! damn completely forgot, but really can't pull it at which point XCC told her "father" that Shiwen is not his biological daughter, he thought she was. So she and her mother were kicked out. Now their only escape is to take the surrogate mother away. HERE! I can finally continue. Coincidentally on the eve of the Fan banquet, Shiwen and her mother due to absence of everyone decided to move. But when they put the unconsious mother in the car, Fan Sihang appeared. Shiwen and the pregnant woman fell out, while pregnant woman started to bleed. Police and ambulance arrived. Although the child survived but to get rid off Shiwen they told her that the child died. By this time Han Jialin found out the truth of that year when he was saved, that Shiwen took place of her sister, so he changed targets, but who cared? Phew.. Really it's better to tell about Xia family at once, but it's not over :'D

The boss behind showed up and tried to use Xia Yongde, after he was dismissed as a chairman Xia Yongde wanted to come back, he like others hated the Lie Smasher. Because his handle was Luo Heng, the big drug boss, he used his shares to get the compabies he needed. XCC used herself as a bait to arrest both for attempted mu*der, but because of instigation and Luo Heng not wanting to go down alone he revealed all Xia Yingde's good deeds. Of course it appeared in the news by Lie Smasher.

Melon 8. Why the two were out of the picture XCC returned to her business, inadvertantly she found strange that an actress who played role in their movie could not afford a necklace. XCC tried to dig deeper. I'll shorten this melon. The actress's boyfriend used her past as bridge to connect, since she was bullied in school and was fatter, he used the story of a sick mother to get money from her and used it as excuse for gambling. But there was no mother, he wanted her to pay off his debts. Because she was found out and told the truth she rebelled, but the guy blackmailed her with a s* video. She had to serve the boss he owed to pay off. She was desperate. Thanks to XCC both the boss was arrested and the casino was closed down, because of her action the video did not appear, but it was only revelation that they were in a relationship and she was deceived. Thus no black spot appeared. I understand there are some loopholes, like they were scenes at two places and there is arrest and her being escorted at the same time, so better not think too deep. By this time Tiansheng was since long in the hands of XCC and she directed the PR team to help lead the news. Although this actress was from a different company, but was a lead in their movie.

Here is the final "rival". This lady appeared before, but now she appeared again as a CEO of Wansheng, to whom the actress belonged. Using marketing they revealed photos of her and XZX and started to lead public that they were a perfect match, they knew each other in school and even dated etc. So his current make-up girfriend is no good match. And also used it as if they asked Tiansheng to help in PR. Though there is no such thing. Her thoughts were obvious, but she did not know the main thing others were aware - make-up artist Xia Xia is XCC. Thus when the news from Lie Smasher finally revealed that Xia Xia and XCC are the same people, plus added marriag certificate she finally had the chance to reveal her and XCC's marriage as she long wished for ahahaha :D But adding the interview by XZX deskmate/roommate we find he dated no one in school and teh video from the car revealed that XZX asked the woman "Who is she?", so all the directed marketing was overthrown, while people danced to their long-admired CP of XCC and XZX. Even the cruise ship CP through XZX's Weibo was revealed to be them. Wansheng went down and the last clown exited the stage.

At the point of awards it was the "end of the novel", but to XCC it was end of the mission. She outwitted the main system that her point and Lie Smasher are two ppl and she needs to expose it and go back to make things fair :) As a result main system agreed and XCC returned. I thik the scene of XZX proposing and thanking for her choosing to stay was nice :) Happy end.

But after knowing her background story, FL seems to be quite powerful and resourceful.

ML is moe! He's outwardly aloof, but inwardly he's so cute~

There seem to be some unsolved plots (like the ML's vest, and the leads' "children" 's endings, and SCs' stories), but as a whole, the story is a very enjoyable reading~

i like the first part when MC focused with her jobs. The faceslapping is satisfying and funny. I also like MC and ML interactions, they can be my beloved cp as beautiful smart GF x rich green flag BF.

BUT all of this satisfaction is gone when ML know MC secret as papparazzi and started their catch and run. Like... what's the point all of this??? I skipped so much of this part (Mengyuan x Yizixing) just to know how ML catch her so they can communicate, ML gives the ring, and they can lovey dovey share the dog food plus fluffiness. BUT BIG NO. What did I get? Just more miscommunication and slow romance.

Yeah I know it's okay to have this plot. But I'm impatient after get high sugar in first part. I think my expectation is too high. I realized this novel's romance is not my cup of tea. I decide to drop this novel.

I won't rate this novel bcs my personal preferences won't give true potrayal of this story quality

The FL didn't pursue being a star but rather stick to her old job. Maybe that's the only thing somewhat unique here.

Then suddenly she realized she like him when she thought he was shot. It was too sudden. If perhaps, the author at least added some adjectives to describe the FL as having her heart beats fast, blushing, being conscious, or whatsoever before that sudden realization, maybe that wouldn't look so sudden and forced.

she once worked as a war correspondent. I'm not that familiar with that work but anyway, I think that the FL's past life and job was the only color in her character design. Especially the reason why from a war correspondent, she became a paparazzi.
