I've only read three chapters but I stopped because this story feels like a really bad self insert fanfiction for a visual novel that doesn't exist. The character spends more than a whole chapter afraid that a little girl will kill him despite the fact that she'll have no reason to unless he acts like the worst human alive. I really enjoyed this series. The plot is well planned with effective use of foreshadowing. Unlike the many WN's that have events happen out of nowhere by the writer's whims, all the arcs for this series fit together well.

There is quite a bit of explanation text on the power system and heavy focus on the world's history. I am quite fond of reading fantasy history, but if you can't stand explanations and just want action then this is not for you.

I find the romance amusing, but many others find it... more>> frustrating. It's a typical love triangle and the MC is indecisive. The MC is aware of the feelings of the heroines and has feelings for them back, but will not choose one of them. I'm ok with this situation, since the rivalry between heroines are entertaining.

Surprisingly well-written. Good writing quality and world building, though at times the exposition can be a tad too much, but that's not really much of a problem. Only faults I have is I wish the protagonists were more intimate perhaps, and the romance took the next step, but besides that it's a good novel.

Well, this is actually my first review and I am not a native speaker, so if there is any incorrect grammar or things like that, pardon me.

This novel is good, there is many aspects that I am liking, and I am enjoying reading it daily. The enjoyable part is the main reason why I put 4 stars in my review.

There are topics that other people said about, so I will comment about them:

First, I don't mind at all chapter dedicated to story building, they are a breath of fresh air... more>> that stops the character interactions a bit, and most of it may be used.

There is this thing about the affection points too, it is anticlimatic, but I don't mind at all. I think it gets better on the later chapters.

There is the system too that I agree is a bit... meh. The author should have thought better about it.

Now the main problems:

If you stop to think about their age, the novel becomes all messed up. I understand that important medieval noble kids should mature early, even so, the s*xual innuendo that the author gives to the characters is weird and sometimes gross. I don't really understand why the writer gave their respective ages to the protagonists, if they were older, the plot and the story would be better and the author would be free to put his fetiches.

Another thing, that annoys me: The MC barely use his knowledge about the game, THIS DON'T MAKE ANY SENSE. He was transmigrated, so what?

So, that's about it, the novel have VERY STRANGE aspects and things that don't make much sense. Even so, with the 4 stars rating that I made should be clear that I am liking to read. As I said, the novel is ENJOYABLE and I recommend it.

Truth be told, I don't know who to ship. So until now, both, both are good. <<less

Forced harem, but great translation quality and speed

Guy finds himself reincarnated into the body of the villain from a game he used to play. The novel uses the cliché of the previous inhabitant of the body being almost as terrible a person as possible, and even though he has literally never yet met any of those responsible for killing him in the game before our MC took over the body, he still does a lot of things simply to prevent the "bad end" - treating those around you normally is... more>> not enough for them not to slaughter you? When you were killed for abusing your adoptive sister and being in an evil cult? I can forgive his paranoia slightly though, that didn't bother me too much. What's really bad is how he acts towards one of the capture targets from the game, Nora.

Nora is the princess and an actual sad*st (not just the "fun" anime version, but actually a brutal slaughterer that finds joy in it, though her sadism is still currently in the early stages for her) and MC wants nothing to do with her, rightly so. So he "tries", and big emphasis on the tries, to turn her away but everything he does ends up making her like him more.

The plot will then start to force the ship of the MC and Nora down one's throat, where the plot and logic takes a backseat to forcing the two of them to act together, even though if MC had his say (and he has a big say, but never actually uses it) he would keep his distance.

The way information is handled in the novel is annoying at times, with MC knowing some strange things while not knowing other important information or trying to find out, but that's standard for a lot of novels.

The System is good in that it doesn't force quests on the main character, but bad in its ability to be defined. It's basically a shop, and almost anything can show up in those shops, making for convenient plot-points where the shop just happens to have an item that will then be used for the plot (it hasn't happened much yet, except for saving a person who seems very likely to be a future capture target's father)

The translation is very good though and so is the speed of new releases.

All in all, it has some potential, but is probably better suited for those reading it mainly for the harem-capturing rather than being drawn by the plot and world. <<less

The story is ok till now. I say 'ok', but I haven't really read that much 'story' yet. Not because it's only chapter 26, but because every chapter is 60% exposition dump and 40% story. Much of this exposition dump is, for now, irrelevant to the other 40% that is actually the story

Not that I actually dislike world building. I very much enjoy exploring a new world in stories. But even then 'show, not tell' applies to books, just as it does to movies and other entertainment. There is... more>> no natural progression in getting to know the world. It's reading a history book that has a little letter stuck between the pages with a little story that goes along with the history itself. And sadly it also means that a lot of info is quickly forgotten since it doesn't apply to the story.

As such, I'm currently not comfortable with giving it more than 3 stars.

Why 3? Because I see potential. I can see a reason to keep on reading. And so I do, while skipping 90% of the 60% of each chapter. Shame. <<less

Knowing all that.. if you think you can still withstand the webnovel, then please read it all you want.

The webnovel is actually not that bad. Infact, the story and the main plotline is quite interesting. The History is the most intriguing part of the story. Though it's not really that well organized and often feels incoherent and messy but it'll keep one's interest as you star reading it.

And it's a harem webnovel. I hope you already know that and don't automatically labeled it as 'Bad' just for the sake of it. The harem is pretty good here. The harem members all have plenty of interactions and developments. They are strong and have their own unique personalities. Just know that they could be quiet annoying and dislikable sometimes because of their childishness but it's actually not their fault. The fault mainly comes from that utterly frustrating MC.

If the MC was like Chinese MC who have unwavering confidence in himself, having straightforward and positive mentality, this webnovel would be a lot.. seriously..I mean, A LOT MORE interesting to read. But alas, he's like a beta MC from those ret*rded japanese romcom animes. Even when the female confesses to him directly.. he acts like "there's no way she likes me in that way" and proceeds to act like a ret*rd.

Ahh! Finally finished it and it's good. Even the ret*rdness of the MC lessens a lot in the later chapters. He also reciprocates their feelings openly and straightforwardly. So the harem part is a green flag. What's troubling is the ending.. it's very rushed. The author could've give many more scenes to it as many things are yet to be unraveled but the author decided to skip all those things and made a quick ending without a proper development. *Sigh*

Overall Rating: 9/10

It was the first novel of its kind that I read, and I am really disappointed, The author wrote the novel like a story which is not the way the write a good novel, but even if you disregard that as it is just a webnovel there are many things which makes it a complete waste of time.

Good novel. Some negatives and positives.

Positives:

• Doesn't follow the usual isekai tropes where the MC knows everything, he only has a sort of idea of what's going to happen and that's it,
• The characters are interesting and original, MC is intelligent (except when it comes to the romance side) and tries to do everything not to die at the beginning,
• The affection system was a very fun to get things going and show how clever the MC actually is,
• World building gets to be quite descriptive and entertaining,
• How the MC gets powers keeps you at the edge of your seat,
• When the romance is timely it's pretty wholesome and very satisfying.

Negatives:

• If you like things to move at a fast pace most likely this novel is not for you,
• There was a tad too much romance which I didn't care about when the story was at important moments. Personally, it felt like filler episodes of Naruto,
• The ending was a bit rushed and the system gets pretty much left aside,
• The age of all characters. That was an appalling decision made by the author in my opinion,

Overall I enjoyed the novel quite a lot. Despite it's negatives I liked the plot and the characters enough that I wanted to see how everything ended. Would recommend you start it if you're a fan of world building and romance.

Im not gonna lie dis shi got weird vibes since the author (for some reason) chose to have romance when the characters are children which then causes that some scenes or descriptions sound really gross like saying a girl got a "good figure" or some shi (i dont remember completely but something like that) when she is just 12. Like thats weird af.

Aside from that its ok kinda 7/10. Its funny and has a unique world building the charcters are alright (tho at times very bland and generic specially MC... more>> and main crew) but it has an interesing power system and world building/history. If it was less focused on romance and more on the its world (+ if MC actually faced some challenges) it would be great. <<less

It was awesome, but I don't like how the established power level keep getting more and more irrelevant, and how the Author keep over extending later chapters fight with useless hyperbolic conflicting explanations.

It would be better if the Author stay on using the earlier chapters battle storytelling.

First review from me and I was mainly spurred on to make it due to my disappointment so far.

The story starts off good until the "harem" starts rearing its head in, the current arc is basically a harem expansion arc and all I've gotten from it is dislike for Nora and Alicia, let alone all the other people working for his family.

If harem is people acting behind your back to "protect' you for the heroines selfish reasons, with acts to lower your reputation, I personally think I'd want nothing to... more>> do with these people, let alone those "loyal" people that are acting along with the deceit.

I'll probably see through this arc and decide whether to continue, if this post isn't edited in some months, then I probably dropped the story.

Edit: Got to chapter 141 and decided I'm done, the MC is as awful as the other characters and his family, his s*upidity and this affection system are made for each other, farming affection points and he somehow doesn't understand that people will fall in love due to that.

Things will somehow work for MC and his harem collection, but I don't feel like reading the rest of the story with MC getting pulled around. I'll give a small analogy to show how this story is going:

I don't want to do anything with this girl and she doesn't want either but before that, I need to get my affection points so let's disagree, she totally won't like me after that!

Alright so, so far so good, I'm sure everyone has already read other reviews but basically, interesting plot, great MC whenever it's not dealing with the harem, and when the story is focused on one heroine they are all appealing. Now, the bad part, the majority of the harem. First off Alicia, at the beginning cute as hell. The relationship is pretty wholesome despite the in*estuous tone. Other than that she's been the most upfront and generally trustworthy. While being a sad*st does not bode too well for MC, she doesn't seem to push too far with it unlike the others. And here comes the third MC. I will admit, up until the exit of the second awaking, I favored her the most. Great chemistry and I would have loved to see that close banter and back and forth with those two and it would have been great. Unfortunately after they escape, she literally kidnaps the MC, for semi justifiable reasons, and nearly causes massive problems between two Kingdom. Now there were logical reason, but the main reason she had was to posses the MC and imprint onto him so he subconsciously thinks of her as a mate. So litteral brain washing. Not to mention, unlike the earlier manipulation by the lord, Alicia and the princess, she feels no remorse at all. Then the worst part is the MC's spinelessness and beta attitude in the face of food and money. Now I would be fine with that, if he actively drained everything they were worth for. What happened to the MC who bumped the price of annulling a marriage from 300k to 500k. He likely could have gotten 2 million if not more considering the possible damage that could be caused through his kidnapping. Overall, skip most of the harem parts, expecially after the third girl. While this novel does share many similarities with other novels that may share some or all of its settings, I will say that it is saved in part due to how well fleshed out the characters are compared to other characters in the genre. First of all. This is definitely readable and enjoyable novel.

However, it really betrays readers expectations with it's premise.

Going into the series. You expect the storyline about MC entering game/novel/etc as a "villain" character and using his knowledge of the storyline, he would avoid death flags, while at the same time using his knowledge of the future push himself towards greatness.

Lastly MC is supposed to be the game villains who is eventually defeated by protagonist and 4 heroines working together. However with his tr*sh talent and house falling out of grace, it would impossible for him to be of any threat to those overpowered gods on earth.

This is really poorly thought out novel and author just ends up writing whatever comes to his mind at given time.

Still what we do actually get is an enjoyable read so it's worth giving it a try. I would give it 4, if only the story didn't lie in it's premise and simply stated that this is your typical isekai harem shenanigans where the question of "who is the best girl" is of far greater importance than anything else in the story. <<less
