Giving delicious food to strangers fills him with immense happiness and joy.

His biggest dream? Setting up a food stall outside a university and avoiding 30 years of detours in life!

So, when his soul gets chosen by the Transmigration Bureau to rewrite the tragic endings of various melodramatic novels…

While other streamers try their best to blend into the plot, disrupt the original storyline, and save the main characters—

Jian Yunlan is busy grocery shopping, cooking, and setting up his food stall.

Audience: ?

Is this streamer here for comedy?!

Elimination within a week, guaranteed. jpg

And so, when Jian Yunlan enters a dog-blood urban elite novel—

“He is the domineering CEO who controls the global economy; he is the cold yet stubborn top student from Beijing University.

Forced love, captivity, an endless chase—he tries to escape, but there’s no way out.

As a transmigrator, your mission is to rewrite the tragic ending…”

—Half a month later, in order to eat Jian Yunlan’s Yangzhou fried rice, the cold and stubborn protagonist became cheerful and proactive, and the domineering CEO completely abandoned the captivity trope.

Instead, they both wholeheartedly pursued the food stall, dining together in perfect harmony.

Audience: “???!!!”

Excuse me, what?

Transmigrating into an ABO Tragic Romance—

“A gloomy, devoted Alpha and his bright, sunshine-like childhood friend Omega—he uses every lowly method possible, including forced marking, just to keep his beloved by his side…”

—To run faster while fighting over spicy hot pot, both protagonists took high-efficiency inhibitors?!

Transmigrating into a “White Moonlight’s Substitute” Novel—

“He’s back. Sign this divorce contract. We will have nothing to do with each other anymore.”

—Even after becoming the unborn child, he still insists on running a food stall and selling roast duck.

Transmigrating into an Apocalyptic Wasteland—

“A mercenary abandoned by his lover and left to fend for himself encounters a twisted and deranged mutant…”

—In order to eat seafood congee every day, the mercenary and mutant maxed out their levels, tore through the apocalypse, and led the world into a new era?!

Reading Guide:

1v1, HE, with a proper love interest. The focus is on plot rather than romance, mainly featuring modern-day food stalls, with a possible one or two fantasy/historical/apocalyptic worlds.

Overpowered protagonist, lighthearted and healing story—includes food?, cute pets?, business management?.

Protagonist disrupts original novel pairings—everyone loves food, no need for emotional torment.

This novel is so ridiculous and brain-dead... I like it!

The author immediately sets the tone of the novel in the first arc- an unbeliveable self-indulgent novel that makes absolutely no sense. MC is a brain-dead cooking addict and his dishes probably contain addictives that makes everyone equally brain-dead. Their actions are so extreme and nonsensical that it just becomes super hilarious.

There is NO dog-blood, just a novel full of crazy foodies that fights over the MC's cooking. Maybe it's because I'm sick of melodrama but this novel easily entertained me.... more>> The author isn't even trying to hide how self-indulgent their writing is. The story don't hide under the pretext of being a serious novel because it's meant to be unserious. Although there are tons of plot holes, the plot twists still works out well and it doesn't even matter because this novel is meant to be a comedy. If you want a Gary-stu MC that gives no cents to the plot and minds his own business, this is it. Everytime I think the plot won't get more ridiculous, the next arc proves me wrong. The MC literally turns into a 3 yo baby at one arc and starts selling street food?? I want to know what the Author was on while writing this. It felt as if I lost braincells reading this so I just can't rate it 5* for my own sanity. It will get frustrating if you expect any logical flow and I cringed a lot in certain scenes, but I couldn't stop reading because I want to know how the MC will conquer the world with street food. Please remember to shut off your brain when reading this. <<less

This is one of the best cooking novels I have read. The food descriptions sound so delicious, and I could not keep myself from laughing when reading this. I do enjoy some of the silly ways relationships have ended because of food so far and I assume some will begin because of it as well. This novel mostly focuses on food and I highly recommend this to people who love comedy, slice of life, and food focused novels.

REMINDER TO NOT READ THIS AT 3AM ON AN EMPTY STOMACH!!!

I feel like I've found a hidden gem-- this is a very lighthearted read that soothes your soul and is probably my favourite out of all of this author's works. The story follows our MC who, as another poster put it, makes those around him act like he's put some additives in his food and everyone who tries it has their IQ+1000. I wont lie, the ML doesn't have that big of a presence in this novel and it mainly... more>> follows the MC and those who are influenced by him. I would like to mention that none of the OG gong/shous of the worlds that MC travels to fall in love with him-- only his food. The ML and MC are usually assigned identities outside of the plot.

Worlds:

Spoiler

1st world: Urban Elite

The protagonists of this world used to be in the CEO gong x broke and in-debt college student shou stereotype, but after the MC arrived, the OG shou became MC's "yandere" (platonic) for his food and the OG gong also woke up from his original sh*t ways. It was hilarious how the OG gong used to treat OG shou as a delicate flower to be locked up, but after being hooked on MC's food the two started a full on street brawl an even got arrested just to prevent the other from eating. It was first revealed here that OG gong was, in a sense, influenced by the original plot to act like a s*umbag towards OG shou, so when he "woke up" from his actions he was really creeped out by why his actions didn't correspond to his true personality prior to the world/book's plot. I do, however, like how despite there being an outside influence towards his way of treating the OG shou, he still took it into his own hands to repent for his actions and mend the relationship between them (platonically this time).

Spoiler

2nd world: Tragic ABO

OG gong was supposed to be a paranoid Alpha who was obsessed over his adoptive brother to the point where he would manipulate him and lock him up, aka mutual destruction. OG shou was OG gong's adoptive brother who differentiated into an Omega over a series of very unfortunate events and was held in captivity by OG gong. After MC arrived, his food pretty much made OG shou differentiate into and Alpha and made OG gong abandon his yandere ways. It was actually really funny how the entire reason OG gong was obsessed with OG shou was pretty much because of milk tea. Poor OG gong just wanted to become a milk tea shop owner but was forced to become OP Alpha heir (still doesn't excuse his past sh*tty ways though). There was also this entire part where OG gong was a fried chicken lover and OG shou was a Malatang lover, so they fought over which dish the MC was better at making lmao.

Spoiler

3rd World: Cub Raising

This one is pretty much a "The Overbearing Boss's Expensive Little Runaway Wife" type plot where the OG gong used OG shou as a substitute for his white moonlight and OG shou ran away while pregnant. MC is acting as OG shou's 3-year old kid, but doesn't let his physique stop him from selling food. OG gong and his mother (the "take 5-million and leave my son type) became human c*ckroaches over MC's food, the white moonlight was actually a masochist and dumped OG gong to propose to OG shou. In the end, though they were all quite hypocritical and OG shou decided to be a strong single mother.

OG Shou is truly a kind-hearted person who genuinely cares for the MC, and it's heartbreaking that in the end, he gains memories of all the previous timelines—realizing the world has been reset countless times, and that other hosts or transmigrators pretended to be his child just to manipulate him into fulfilling their missions, despite him wholeheartedly loving them.

Spoiler

4th World: Apocalyptic

Ok I don't actually remember but about this one, but it's basically about the fact that the MC united the world through food and how he's got the world running circles for his porridge.

Spoiler

5th World: Cultivation

This is the backstory arc and gives the ML a bit more character (?) Personally, I didn't really like how theres this whole "past-life lovers/friends" thing, not to mention it was really watered down and glossed over. There's a lot going on in the arc, honestly, with the MC and ML nearly dying left and right, but overall, it was a decent way to wrap things up.

I really like the fact that unlike many world hopping novels, those from previous world are still relevant. I also enjoy the fact that once a world is "liberated" from its original plot, the characters gain a sense of consciousness that they are actually fictional characters and are allowed to follow our MC throughout his journey of taming people through food.

Also, yes, there are a few plot holes and things that don't really make sense, but I really like the vibes of this one, and it's not meant to be anything too serious, moreso healing. So definitely recommended to turn your brain off and enjoy! Overall, this is a really good read and I recommend for those who want limited angst and something funny! <<less

I stumbled upon this story because I absolutely love it when food plays a role in the plot, and this one delivered perfectly! Every chapter had me laughing nonstop—each one is pure gold, and it never fails to amaze me. The characters are so well-written, and I can't wait to meet more of them and see their interesting dynamics!

Its a lighthearted and fun read!! Lots of absurdist humor? or more like, slap stick/comic humor? It's more common to see it in manga/comics but seeing it in a story/novel format is... yeah! It's surreal!

I enjoyed it... reads sort of like a pet novel and there's not alot of tension, the most interesting part for me is the beginning of each arc where you get to meet protagonist A, or some plot point and how it'll resolve itself in the background while the MC cooks. The part that really takes... more>> me out is when it starts to get surreal. But overall its still a fun and interesting read lol

Translator does a great job btw!! <<less

First arc finished, it was meh. Somewhat entertaining but also sloppy and the dog blood drama ruins it for me. Remove the dog blood drama, I think the read would improve.

Aside from that, the typical OP yet very quirky MC. Side characters were more interesting I reckon. What I looked forward to more was Mc's interactions with them. Less so with the other main characters since it's just dirty dog blood drama for the most part. A lot of smushed troupes as well.

Funny foodie novel, where MC solves all problems with food unknowingly he just want to set up his food stand and sell food.

Romance is a wishy washy not that central. Good enough for this kind of non sensical novel.

Alot of plot will not make sense, everyone goes OCC for food, and everything some how ends with HE

All in all the novel had me laughing alot of times and I can never forget this novel, foodies especially making me hungry and laughing at the same time.
