Incredibly intriguing plot line! 271 chapters in, many revelations have already been delicately made by this point in the novel, whilst many mysteries remain unsolved and I'm absolutely gripped as a reader. Fantastic translation too. Warning neither the FL nor ML start out as respectable characters, he was insensitive and cruel, she was a pushover and of the "that's just my fate, it's right to suffer because of my crimes even though it wasn't me" type. This does get better and by chapter 271 we have respectable characters, trying to solve the mysteries of the world and prevent unknown calamities. It's more Game of Thrones than Harry Potter, in terms of feel, though less politics and world building as is consistent with genre. With this novel your vested interest here reside with only the FL focal point and the major villain as focal points initially, although , this focal point does grow into other areas over time.

Bonus: NO Pesky villain/ villainess! The villain and sub villains are crucial to the plot and are respectable / have nice character backdrops! Compelling read!

The world-building is something I commend the author for! I felt really immersed with the setting and was very curious to know about it more especially how ramita and praz works. The smut scenes are hot, not boring and non-repetitive. Honestly, I don't think my review will give the novel justice. The FL is charming, very intelligent (but not in a genius level 9999 way), kind but not a pushover-type. She is portrayed in as an above-average girl who you may actually meet in the real-world which I find very relatable. The novel seems to lean more towards adventure, romance and mystery. The plot is well-written. The questions the FL wants to be answered intrigues me too. It's Hook, Line and Sinker for me as I almost did not sleep for two days binge-reading this anticipating what will happen next. This ain't gem, this is kryptonite that you seek even though you know you will be left hanging and longing bcs the chapters aren't complete yet. So far, I think this is the best josei in web novel realms. However, imho, the hidden MVP is the translator who brought me to the world of beautiful wordings. -Every unnecessary detail gets mentioned over and over again, but actual new information and progress happens only every 50 chapters.

-This whole thing could've definitely been 100 chapters shorter

-ML is likeable but because of the structure of the storytelling and MC's decisions, he doesn't actually get to shine

In summary I came here because someone recommended this novel in the comment section of Predatory Marriage and I am disappointed.

It had a good start but as the chapters kept increasing the plot unfortunately did not. I have read the 300+ translated chapters but truthfully felt like half the chapters could have been axed because of the fillers. The sm*tty scenes were repetitive the MC that came across as smart at first became boring, arrogant and naive.

Kudos to the transaltors for doing a wonderful job seriously just stuck with the novel because of translation.

Heads up, Kasser is my absolute favorite ML in a novel of all time, so I'm biased as all heck. He's my type of fantasy guy. Not everyone will have him as a top one, though, so take my biased review with a grain of salt, lol.

ML is a good king, has powers, has a bad ass pet, has a mild personality most days, generally kind hearted and fair, and a God in bed. It's mostly this specific combo that makes him my number one. I like guys chill, but firm, with a dash of naughty. Plus he has a pet, and Abu is adorable. Hehehehe

The couple don't have any true conflict that threatens the relationship. They keep a few secrets, and are understanding when they're revealed. They get attached to each other, and the relationship slowly gets stronger.

The big baddie is some head priest. I skip his chapters because you find out early on he's just using the anikas for some nefarious reason I don't care to learn.

As for the translations, Keopi is wonderful. Zero complaints, honestly. 9.5/10. The 0.5 for the rare, odd mistakes, which to be fair, who doesn't make mistakes? And we're getting this free. I honestly don't get why people kept complaining about how the FL don't know much about the story she wrote herself

People should consider the time she wrote the story (which wasn't or has yet to be stated so we can only assume) that she wrote it wayy back that's why she's not so familiar with it anymore

And also the fact that it was repeatedly pointed out that the story she wrote was much different than the reality that faced her. Like for example, when Eugene wrote it this way "... more>> The Dessert King is the most powerful one. " And when she met the king herself it was beyond words. Because maybe her story wasn't that descriptive. She only came up of necessary things to come up with a plot and so the remaining infos was filled naturally, which she never knew. And also, she did say that the main events all happened in that Holy City or something so it explains why she hasn't mentioned anything yet regarding the actual story progressions.

Welp, either way. Story's good although the pacing is a tad bit slow. And although it has a smut tag it doesn't go straight to it at random and the plot builds up before it happens so kudos to the author. <<less

It's not really interesting. I've seen this type of plot setting many times before, and this books brings nothing new to the table. So it's just stale, it feels like I'm reading what I've read before. So far the story is intriguing and translation is one of the best. It has a fantasy world trope which I adore and hopefully a bit of an angst too.

My only disappointment is the length of the chapters, I hope as the story develops they can get a bit more meaty.

I love this novel. Although this has a smut genre it is not solely based on that. The plot is excellent and the main characters are extremely likable. There is couple growth and both the characters are powerful. The romance is one of the best I have seen in novels.

The only good thing here is the Translator. The FL is so annoying and unbearable. Even if she is witnessing that it's not the novel she wrote... she still treats everything as her novel. She's always confused and over dramatic and it's just goes on the same way. The author is just dragging the story....I mean even if you go over 100+ chapters there's nothing to look forward to

This is a gem. Wow. I just got caught up and this is brilliant.

The plot is amazing. You think you know what's happening but surprise! You don't know anything! It's awesome how we still don't know wth is going on and we are getting glimpses of the Jin's past as well as potential problems in the future.

Aside from the amazing plot, the characters here are awesome. I haven't seen a 2D character and everyone of them seem to have a story to tell. I have read a lot of light novels and a lot of them don't pay attention to secondary characters and they're just there to move the plot along. But here, gosh.
