It was a passing wish to the weary and tired Eugene and she’d not think it’d ever come to pass… but it did.

She opened her eyes and found she was sent to a novel-like world she wrote in passing and became Jin Anika, the scorned queen notorious for her ruthlessness and undeserving of her status.

Queen Jin only sought and desired to see the destruction of this world — the villainess who met her untimely and miserable end at the hands of her husband, Kasser, the reigning king of the Fourth Kingdom.

While struggling to survive in the unknown world, King Kasser visited Eugene and demanded that a contract be fulfilled and come to fruition.

It turns out the Queen was under a contractual marriage with King Kasser. The ultimate price? To bear him a child.

It's from the author of Lucia! That's sold for me. I've never clicked anything quicker. The translation if on chap 50, and the author is still spot on. Lots of things are left to be uncovered later on. I'm so excited! Our main couple has a long way to go, but I have a feeling that great stuff are ahead.

This is another gem buried in a pile of gems. I think there is still more to be revealed in the story. But, so far I am enjoying the story. I hope there will be more updates to come. There are still a lot of mysteries surrounding the MC's real body and the real villain of the story but I hope it will be slowly revealed as the story progresses.

I noticed that I really like the Translation team. I really loved most of their stories. Their translation is superb aside... more>> from little errors here and there. It is really pleasant to read. Please keep up the good work. <<less

The plot is quite unique. And it keeps me on edge anticipating what will happen next. The POVs of the main characters were simply engaging it makes you sympathize with their concerns. Feels like every chapter is a cliffhanger. It's worth the read and the follow. Kudos to the translators.

I’m loving this story so much. The translation is amazing and it does remind me of Lucia a bit. Which I also love. Seriously hope this story will stay amazing to the end

a really nice beginning ; I like our leads (clever, strong, HOT), the plot is not totally clear yet but we're progressing step by step in a magic world with monsters and super powers. To finish with the smuty scenes, compared to Lucia, it's better and so hot without focusing on her organ each 10 lines lol ;) Can't wait to read more !

Good but not as Lucia. Very hard for me not to compare both of them. Lucia is one of my favourite novels, maybe I was expecting to much from Villainess Queen..

MC is much more active here but somehow I feel she doesn't do much for the plot and shes not very bright? XD. The first 100ch I was annoyed with her each time "oh it wasnt the same in my book.... It's different from my plot". Like giiiiirlll, we got it! It's not the same ! Probably its different universe... more>> or Gods plan whatever, JUST STOP IT. I'm at 177ch, she still thinks about that TT_TT...

Still it's solid 4 ⭐ for me. I like the development bw MCMl, like MC for being straightforward, brave sometimes. Plot also 👍 <<less

I'm addicted to this novel. I'm maybe a little bias cause I like "covering the sky" author and all her works. But this is good. Her writings is kinda poetic. All thanks to the translators for translating it beautifully.

The story written well, the smut portion is good enough. The character progress pretty good too.

It's starting to get interesting but the beginning was kinda boring and slow. The characters were also boring but at least no shitty ML like in most smut novels. I can't wait to see how more things uncover. The world building is phenomenonal but characters be lacking. I guess I'm not into this author's characters because I also find Lucia characters on the bland side but loved Damien there. Here I loved the side character Marianne more too.

Translation is one of the best I've read.

fantastic world building, engaging characters, a lot of mystery for us to wonder about... this story is wonderful. tbh, I'm not much of a fun of the steamy scenes but thry can be skipped eithout problem.

i seriously recommend you read this, it's badass. MC is kinda careful in her approach but still badass and curious about the world, determined to figure out how it works and how it's different from what she 'wrote'. the male lead was a bit cliche at the beginning but improved a lot over time and... more>> now actually supports her and it feels like they are in it together.

it's a great read. <<less

I came for the R18 and stayed for the plot.

Right now I'm barely in chapter 33, so there is not much of action (aside from the you-know-what). I saw one review pointing out how come when Eugine was the one to write the story she doesn't know what is going on. I think that when she started to write the story it was already when Anika was married and since she was a villainess it's not focused on every little thing she did, but on the perspective of the main... more>> characters, just like any other story.

I really think you should give it a chance! Might come back and update after chapter 100 or so. :) <<less

It's actually really good, just a bit boring / slow. The world building and plot is great, and most important the characters are great. They don't fall in love in an instant (although the intimacy really speeds up the process lmao) but it's a logical progression. MC is also not just "I changed thus everyone starts to love me, no more problems"; she's entangled in schemes and problems she doesn't even know about, far too deep to just ignore because "she changed", with a potential to blow her whole situation... more>> apart.

At the same time we feel her hopelessness; she can't truly confide in anyone, not even the king, and can only slow wade through her confusion.

The synopsis makes it seem like it's just a story centered on romance and a changed woman, and although it is, the world and situations that slowly build up around her make it so much more.

I think it's realistic and the MC is quite mature. It's a decent story. <<less

Alright, so, I am one of the outliers who really disliked Lucia... and yet I was quite interested and optimistic about this author other works. There may be many conflicting and differing opinions about Lucia but what most can probably agree on is the author's innate talent for writing. Her ability to build an immersive world and engaging characters are by far one of the best I've read, and I'm glad to say that same level of story telling ability was displayed in Living as the villainess queen but oh... more>> so much better. The romance and in particular smut does not disappoint one bit.?? <<less

spicy eyes my god. Very nice though and the story has a nice flow. The MC slightly annoys me with her slight air headed mentality but she isn't the worst I've read about so it doesn't affect my score imo
