The Soaring Dragon Continent is a world of summons, where you can only become strong if you become a summoner!

Yue Yang, an average high school boy, was suddenly kicked into this world. When he woke up, he was greeted with a lot of worried faces and found out that he had assumed another person’s identity. Turns out he’s the good-for-nothing third son of the Yue Family, who had just recently drowned himself because of a failed engagement.

Unlike the third son of the Yue Family who was useless in summoning, Yue Yang succeeded in making a contract with a summoning grimoire on his first try, even when the other guy failed for the past fifteen years. Others would have a headache making contracts with beasts afterwards, but countless beasts tried to gain favour with Yue Yang instead, acting like a good kid before him.

Yue Yang the brat, however, didn’t feel grateful at all: “Scram, Mythical Beasts! Do you think you are cool like that? Go away from me now, I only like beautiful summons!”

Even when royal families approached him for his talents, the shameless brat replied, “I’m not interested in government stuff, I’m only interested in beauties!”

I've read this novel a long time ago. And I still remember it (very) fondly.

It is a gread read as you will not get bored either with the plot, nor the characters interactions, the dialogues or the power build-up.

The MC is strong and has very strong enemies. He wins thanks to his wits, strenght, allies (that he nurtures), caution. What I like a lot about it is that characters around him tend to grow with him and pursue him on the path of building power. Well, I've read a lot of novels and this one remains in my memory (which is already a big deal for me when it comes to quality review) as a great, fun, enjoyable, captivating read.

I hope those of you looking for something fresh to read may find their fix here !

Novel starts off with MC return I g to his world though he thinks earth was his original world. Then finds out about summons and makes comments about making a beautiful huminooid beast harem. But really other than red and one or 2 later one they never join his harem. If you want a book about a full blown harem including his contracted creatures look elsewhere, but overall novel was a great read up until mtl got to damn hard to read with a full mix of action comedy harem... more>> and sexy time though sadly best girl never sleeps with him due to a promise to her master to retain her v*rginity. Maybe soon there will be a good fan fic changing that though <<less

It was alright.

The story was alright, but god damnit, SO MUCH FILLER. There were so many useless arcs.

The characters are 2D I guess, not bad not good either. The harem is fairly decent, you don't get the girls never mentioned again, they kinda stick to the MC so that's nice. Speaking of MC, it's a pretty bad one, he is VERY r*pey (there is no actual r*pe but he thinks about raping woman several times) and otherwise, it's the typical xianxia character, he can fight beyond his realm, he get... more>> all the girl, he is lucky, he have an amazing bloodline, mysterious parents, he repay kindness with kindness and enmity with enmity... Anyway, you got the idea, beside being pe*verted and r*pey as his own "flair" he really as bland as one could get.

The author REALLY likes to spend 1/4 of a chapter talking about previous event as if we had a goldfish memory, you can also get several chapter where there is absolutely nothing happening or could easily be explained in a sentence.

Anyway, it wasn't bad, it wasn't good, it was alright.

Edit : Starting from c646, the translation is absolute garbage, it's (poorly) edited MTL, I'm really fighting to keep reading since this tr*sh "translation" stopped at c717. <<less

Idea was good and story interesting even thought author wont bother to explain some things twice (such as how rankings lvls grades and such things works and most importantly he also only once mentioned that hellish training that is sword goddess putting on MC every night) so people might think that he gets power from thin air but what really pissed me off is mc's personality. I don't mind when MC sometimes keep low profile or acts like fool in bad situations but someone who tries to keep low profile... more>> when its more benefiting to show whole world your power or act like fool in important situations is something I hate so story wasnt bad but MC himself ruined it <<less

This series is quite good compare to other chinese series and MC is likeable as a long term. MC is lecherous and Smart MC, not dense that's why MC is likable. Later chps quite good after Harem members become stable. This is rare series for Chinese series that MC does not abandon girls to continue his adventures. All of his girls got their own roles and places.A lot of sweet time and s*x scenes are pretty good for this kind of series

This was my favorite novel for a fairly long time, but it really lost its way at some point. It's supposed to be a story about training summoned monsters, but eventually the monsters don't even end up taking part in most of the fights. On top of this, everything just keeps on growing in scale and the fights just keep getting longer and longer. It's very frequent for a fight to start off with Yue Yang dealing a grievous blow to the enemy, with the enemy deciding that they need... more>> to flee right after that. And yet you get several more chapters of the enemy trying to flee, while Yue Yang hits them more and more times. At some point, I just stopped believing the author when they claimed that an attack actually damaged someone, because it never seems to matter. Either the first hit kills them, or they don't die no matter how many hits they take.

In the end I mostly kept reading for the harem. It's fantastic. Unfortunately, even though the harem is ridiculously large, you often go many chapters without seeing or hearing from them at all... and after a new girl is added, you might not hear from her again for literally hundreds of chapters. <<less

The summary made this seem good, and in the beginning it sort of was. But at the current point, it's obvious that literally the entire storyline is scripted - everything the MC does is because somebody else forced him to or planned it. He's supposedly really strong and can disguise his power, but every other character he fights is someone so strong that he can't beat them, at most wound them, and then they run away. But those fights take up way too much time and chapters, especially when the... more>> world-building is already so shallow. A fight just finished, but the fight itself only took like 30minutes but took 20+ chapters. And then there's a world building or training time-skip chapter, and suddenly back into another adventure where at most 2 chapters in becomes a fight. It's very cut adn dry repetition. Much worse than even Martial God Asura, where Bee recycles the plot every 10 chapters. <<less

LLS is a novel about a boy who transported to another world, where the core elements of this world are summon and grimoire. It is a mixture of Chinese xianxia and Western lore. He made a lot of girlfriends and wives along the way. The underlying tone of this novel is pretty warmhearted and comedic rather than serious and dark. The main attraction point of this novel is actually relationship between MC and girls.

As a harem novel written by a female author, it does give a good taste of female... more>> characterization. Instead of an army of one-dimensional and cliche heroines, each female have interesting personality and complexity. This novel doesn't exhibit the usual "sexist stereotype" that we've seen in most Chinese harem novel. Most female are capable to handle their own growth, their own lives, and their own problems. Fun characters and non-stop action. The love interests and other support characters are at least not forgotten like some novels of this genre. The MC and author seem to not understand the dark meaning of "pushing down" women. The story structure is constantly jumping from action scene to another without laying down any concern for good narrative flow. MC keeps receiving power for no apparent reason. I like good and funny harem novels but it seems like the author has no idea how to effectively develop a Harem MC.... more>> Maybe the author lacks relationship experience?

Suffers from the same problems as other novels of the same type: Longwinded monologues, overly redundant explanations, annoying unnecessary conjectures, imbalanced story-telling, essay-type structure and, typical Chinese style condescension against women. Broken narrative flow especially in the middle of fights that makes you forget what the characters were doing.

Read this novel if you want to. Completely neutral about this novel. Good enough to read on long trips but you'll need to skip a lot of redundancies and amateurish writing while cringing on how the MC regards women as things to "push down". <<less

Great series, have really enjoyed the story and the MC. Shiro has done a great job on translation, however they can't keep staff around lately and its basically been dropped for the immediate future. Hope to finish the series without going to machine translations for the raws.

07/21/18 edit: Been 4 months now and have only had a few new chapters, basically no communication from translators, series seems officially dead until another group picks it up.

Long live summons is kind of novel which ticks you off

It appears to be an easy, presentable story which you can relate. But sometimes you can't understand sh*t especially in earlier chapters (10-50).

MC is different from other MC and his personality is actually enjoyable. I do however don't understand his reasoning or author's for comparing soaring dragon continent which he lives to a game and people other than those close to him as NPC's.

The worldbuilding is especially rotten as I still can't figure out its principles. I don't understand if... more>> author is deliberately pretending to be mysterious or what but come on its over 100 chapters and you still can't understand f*ck

High rankers always pretend to be mysterious and few times it works, but always dragging out something which readers can't understand can't be healthy.

In despair abyss arc when he fights a sky demon who is pretending to be minor sky demon, she tries to kill each of his comrades to make him angry and atlast when he's unconscious she actually kisses him? I mean I understand s*upid bimbos who fell for him easily. But this ? Even cliche antagonist fell for for him ? I mean what the f*ck, she actually even thinks of raising him as her protege. This is complete bullshit <<less

The plot is interesting but the way the author writes is a bit boring.

This is the most pe*vert and shameless MC i've seen so far

It's really weird how the MC has a "Plot Armor" to hide his true abilities

... more>> 1-) The person whom he is talking to is really s*upid and he can lie successfully to them

2.) The person faints and is not able to see his true abilities

He hides his abilities so good that the author even wants to let the enemy sleep on the fight so they can't see his abilities. <<less

The MC's plot armor is too thick. He comprehends like 40 different powers and gets as many pets in the first 80 chapters, but only ever uses/develops 2 or 3 of them. Heart of Oak or whatever? Super beast eggs? Hydra stuff? Smoke shadow guardian beast thing? These are all used once or twice. Each are supposed to be "super OP" but the MC picks up OP abilities faster than he can develop his old ones.

I don't find any of the characters interesting. The MC is just a 8 year old in a 18 year old body. He selfishly keeps information and doesn't teach his cousin, who even tries to help him at the start, just because he finds it funny. This same cousin who's parents unselfishly and selflessly spent a lot and took care of him. I'm stuck at this point and I'm cringing at the thought of some of the other things he'll do or won't just because it's funny for him. I don't know if it's the author or because of the way it's translated but when the MC tries to look cool and funny it comes out awkward and clumsy

If I were to list down all the pros of this novel, they would all be categorized under the word "harem". Yup, of all the harem novels I've read, it is one of the few that deserves to call itself a harem story. Actually, of the four stars that I gave, three of them comes fron the harem. In contrast to the rest of the characters in the story, heck, even the MC himself pales in comparison to the characterization of girls in his harem. The small bits of romance... more>> and the ero parts are smooth and well-written unlike the other awkward and childish ones that we often see. I don't know the authors gender, but seeing this kind of style, makes me suspect she's female. Maybe it only looks better because the majority are horribly bad, but the pleasant surprise it gives earns itself some praise.

However, it's many themes actually made the novel chaotic, otherwise it should have been rated higher. For one, it has too many loose ends. Since the beggining of the story, it foreshadows many things that may keep you reading, but as the story progresses, it becomes insignificant. And when its payout comes, it dosn't excite you anymore, since you get distracted by so many power-ups, revelation and other stuff that you forgot it even existed and they lose their impact. The way the fights are described should be okay, but does not have the energy and vigor that most Wuxia novels have, even against the worse ones. Other villains and side characters are cliched and feels "artificial"- it's like they're there to fulfill their roles and nothing more. They just really lack.......a lot of things.

So to sum it up, except the harem parts, the rest of the novel were..... honestly saying, its sloppy and untidy. If the writing was told in a different way and style, it would have been a lot better. Might sound harsh, but it truly gives the "it-could've-been-better" vibes. <<less

I've been meaning to give this novel a go, due to its high rankings; however, I ended up putting it off for awhile due to the "Ecchi" genre. Finally decided to finally give it a try and I didn't even have to finish the 1st chapter to start cringing. To sum it up, if you like a novel with a annoyingly shameless and pe*verted main character with cringe worthy ecchi moments (where the main character keeps telling us, the reader, about how he wants to push down one of... more>> his harem members and mol*st them) ; however, up until now, nothing has happened and everything is just thoughts inside the main character's mind. This story started out fine with a mysterious background and a world of laughs. It slowly started suffering from a lack of focus and less humour. Following that the MC gets more powerful than a genius 100 times his age within a year or two due to his lucky circumstances. There are even instances when the MC doesn't believe in his plot armour, it has grown so thick.

The novel is entertaining, has a lot of potential and a wonderful plot. My advice is stack up the chapters. Most of the time it is frustrating due to lack of chapters available to read. MC is arrogant as well as a huge pe*vert. Will try to sexually harass (and if possible r*pe) any female characters available to him, including his pets (monsters)

For every chapter there will surely be a funny situation that will make the readers laugh. Fights in the novel are all well written and has... more>> continuity, that is really a wonderful thing because in most of the other novels you wont understand what is going on during that time and all you will get is POW-SMACK-KABOOM and END of fight.

Harem novel- for some people that is a huge NO. I like harem and I find that all characters including heriones in here have a nice story and is given enough time to build their characters with personality. <<less

I know the MC personality is shrewd but seriously he lies all the time. Like 90% of anything the MC says is a lie, For me personally this series has a lot of potential but the MC personality is what ruins it for me. Haven't read all of it so maybe the series will get better as time goes on.

I absolutely love this novel! The MC is a person who is kind to his friends and family and cruel and ruthless to his enemies. His is also pe*verted and loves to scheme. It is so funny that it made my sides hurt sometimes and also made me want to hit the MC until he has a pig face.
