For the world to function and sustain, it has to be inevitability built on hierarchy. As precious, rare resources, high-grade omegas are kept in captivity by powerful, elite alphas in order to reproduce the next high quality generation.

Yan Yi, a lop-eared rabbit omega, had once ravaged the battlefield with the powerful peregrine falcon alpha Lu Shangjin, had once loved him deeply, and had once tasted his heartlessness.

Now, he could only succumb to the social order and submit to his subordinate nature.

There is so much hate for this novel. Some hate the s*um gong or the weak MC which is totally irrelevant because their characters are set that way, tsk.... Some say the plot is illogical, but I did not find any incoherences or plotholes or inconsistencies of character. People hating on the novel is based mostly on their bias. There are reasons and circumstances behind the characterisation, it is explained well by the author. In general, this novel is well written, the characters are coherent and consistent and the world... more>> building is well done. Not a perfect novel but not a shitty one either. Giving a bad rating solely based on anger or on emotional details that are already well explained in the novel is not fair.

Our s*um gong is a real s*um through and through, the complete package of scumminess. The first 50 chapters was hell hell hell for a pure fluff reader like me. I forced myself to read this because I am currently super enjoying the 'Fallen Mermaid' manhua (ongoing). Mangas/manhuas adapted from novels will always be lacking in details, so I decided to read the novels first. I was repeatedly forewarned about the angst in this one so I went in with several layers of steel around my heart and mind lol. I do not regret reading this novel. As a fluff-only genre lover, I am still defending this novel because it isn't as bad as what some haters are commenting.

In such angsty novels, the reedeeming arc must be convincing in order to have a HE. Every reader will have their own bias, whether to forgive or not. For me, s*um gong has indeed suffered a great deal and paid a high price for his mistakes. He tried to be different from his dad but ended 'partly' being like him, something he himself admitted in the novel.

As for the MC, I understand how love can make ppl stay in abusive relationships until their bottom line is stepped on. It is the case here. My bottom line is different from MC's but that does not make me hate the MC. It is clear from the start that he still loves the s*um to death. If readers cannot understand what love is, it is kinda pitiful. Indeed love cannot be used as an excuse (and it isn't here) but it is the reason for MC's behaviour, accept it or not! To further complicate this love, author also address the issue of whether this deep love that MC has for ML is really 'love' or the result of an artificial chemically-induced reaction of an omega towards their marker. They do go indepth about this issue, and this lead to plot developments later on in the book. <<less

I don't usually like crematorium novel but this one was okay because it seemed like th ML and MC had problems that stemmed from their respective abusive childhood environments and mistakes that mostly the ML made while still caught up in all broken emotional place as an adult. It did make me feel vulnerable but I couldn't put it down.

He chases back his wife when he starts to put two and two together and realize he is just f*cking up left and right and the things that hurt the MC... more>> are eventually explained. Then the reader realizes that ML is just f*cking s*upid.

The ending with them back together feels like it's an earned resolution for each other and the storyline takes place over YEARS so it's reasonable for that to be enough time that they do move past the hurts from the past. <<less

Honestly it pisses me off abit, but not bad exactly what I was looking for since I'm currently in the frustrating-want to cry-happy ending (?) Mood but I won't recommend for anyone looking for fluff cuz this has all the trigger warnings aside from in*est (is that a trigger?). The translator did a wonderful job at translating this, the author has also wonderfully written the story, it has everything rich people drama omegaverse should have. Action, immense drama, angst oh the angst and its somehow very consistent throughou lt the... more>> whole series. I love it, couldn't stop reading it. Would deff rec to someone in that mood

I give it a 4 since I like and I'm a bit biased with the art since it's manhua is gorgeous, the story is interesting, and baby omega is just too cute, plus the story made me cry, that in it self added a 1 for me. I would give it a 5 but imma be honest with you somehow my star rating stuff can't go above 4.0 <<less

Be prepared for the MC to go back with s*um gong. I read the rest through mtl.

People have mixed feelings about this novel due to that. I for one am kinda satisfied with this novel. For the most, I feel the ML learned a good hard lesson and now it's kinda reversed with how the MC was.

The author did a great job (in my opinion) with the reader's revenge. I can kinda understand but also still can't really understand why the ML was "lost" for years and his emotions for... more>> that. The MC is not like what he was used to and the ML is aware of that and so is careful with him. <<less

Crematorium, dogblood and ABO setting with 2nd evolution into animals/plants abilities. Quite a new type of ABO setting for me but still it's rather cute. Many of the people compared the ML to Shao Qun from Sissy and said he is worse than him so I decided to try this one out.

Yan Yi (MC) is a lop-eared bunny with A3 evolution being one of the rarest Omegas as only a small percentage of them can reach this stage. His actions are often bunny-liked and really adorable like munching on flowers,... more>> dry grass and his cute ears showing off his emotions. In contrast to his cuteness, he is a capable agent packed with powerful punches. Lu Shangjin (ML) is an alpha with eagle abilities and together with Yan Yi were agents in the past. Regarding his scumminess, there is a real reason behind it which I concur with BUT having affairs and bringing back other partners is downright scummy no matter what reasons he has. Even Shao Qun didn't do that while he was with Chengxiu. Also the forced

abortion upon discovering that MC had a false pregnancy (he does not have to do it the way he did, it hurts MC so much)

. Shao Qun feels like an angel now. However, the crematorium was well done, I was convinced by the ML and forgave him.

A few areas which I didn't like was how MC was supposed to be a strong bunny with his agent background but a lot of the time in the story, he was just quivering and needy of the alpha's pheromones to calm him. Some phrases like "releasing his calming pheromones" get used way too often. I get the setting that it was part of the evolution traits and a rabbit is just too prone to being scared but as a bunny who can just hold heavy artillery and kill his enemies, this made him seemed too weak than needed. The last few chapters dragged on for a bit too long, but I guess it's because the author wants to throw in some action-packed battle etc. This made me feel quite burnt out towards the end. Overall for the dogblood value I'd give it a high rating but I I guess the writing style is a bit lacking. <<less
