Jing Xun transmigrated into a novel called “All for love” and became the protagonist shou who was about to jump off the building because of love.

In the original book, the video of the protagonist jumping off a building circulated on the internet; he was known as a college student who wasted educational resources and did not have self-respect.

As a learning tyrant, Jing Xun asked: “Seriously, who is that?”

Jing Xun was good-looking and good at studying. He was simply excellent in all aspects but his health was not good.

Although he had transmigrated into a BE s*um novel, he felt very fortunate because he finally had a healthy body… so Jing Xun planned to kick the s*um gong away and do all the things he couldn’t do before.

However, he didn’t expect that the first extraordinary thing he did after transmigrating was to stand in a claustrophobic and dim room after being drugged, and ask for help from a handsome and indifferent Mr. Long Legs:

“Mister, can you help me?”

After a night of passion, Jing Xun felt that this gentleman was a good person.

Until two days later, Mr. Long legs came to the door and wanted to marry him.

Jing Xun: …Wasn’t it just a one-night stand!?

Too much faceslapping in the latter half and plot progress is a bit too slow. I initially liked MC's character and his mature and somewhat comedic thought process, but he acts too frail and pitiful with the ML that it's hard for me to digest. Sometimes I think MC is better off alone so we get to see his independent, smart self more. Yes, he's 179cm- which is great to see that he's supposedly not the typical small and fragile shou, but the author cannot stop praising his good looks,... more>> porcelein smooth skin every single time the MC gets brought into the scene. You cannot go without at least 2 paragraphs hailing his beauty whenever the novel introduces the MC. His character wanes off later in the story as he becomes more meek..

Romance is a bit stale with the ML being too good to be true tbh! A big boss who just throws off his schedule to take the MC to university every single day.. And even on a bike before work. Not sure how he functions as the boss now being in a relationship with the MC as he always seem to be available and at MC's beck and call. He provides the MC with everything to the point of MC being really spoiled. On another note, I was interested to see how the ML recovers from his mental illness, and was hoping to read about MC helping ML in his path to recovery, but the novel doesn't focus on that unfortunately.

I'm also not sure why this was tagged yaoi instead of shounen-ai, the only intimate scene is at the beginning of the novel. And it's not even written explicitly, only implied. Everything else is in riddles and hardly ever goes beyond kissing. Censorship is real on this one. <<less

Pephem summary of the beginning is about right, but I read a bit more, and scrolled that far to find sleep (at least it's ok for that, albeit a bit unnerving which is not great)

i also found the story repetitive in describing how supremely good looking cute or cold (MC /ML), etc caricatural traits the protagonists have - both of them are very poor when it comes to emotions : the happy Sunny boy has not social experience and only knows how to smile and be obedient to his... more>> owner, the owner might have too much, and is unexpressive and deranged- in a very different way, you could nearly say both are autistic, for their world is strangely limited ?

The pace is awfully slow, the character development inexistant, or maybe negative when it comes to the MC, and that's probably what ruins it

It could have been fun to follow that little genius with no social experience, a lots of personal talents but limited by the fact he shouldn't show too much - his world discovery could have been interesting, his growth had quite a potential too, lastly his ability to change the story could have bring extra challenges

There was not much difference between the MC and the person he replace, that was good too... he's just more assertive and quite a bit more talented, enough to change everything without anybody noticing - It was also really good the previous incarnation had a lot of qualities. But it's not used either alas... How fun would it have been to send our awkward genius tackle ordinary labor, at least, until he's replace ? How interesting would it have been to see him really struggles with no money for a little while : honestly how can it be so easy to change his conditions ?

The setting could have been really nice, lots of characters could also have changed through the ripple effects of that one transmigration, and that would have been fun to see what wins : the peer pressure or the independent mind of the new soul ?

Instead of that, the protagonist becomes the tycoon boyfriend after so very few chapters, that you entirely lose the focus of growth and discovery and, you absolutely pass by any potential difficulties - the end ?

It also really doesn't help that one is called by a short name, while the other is still called « sir » or « mister » after 70 episodes : how does it feel for a loving couple ?

i also found the writer to suffer a very common schizophrenic depiction of wealth : let's be clear, all the misery from childhood the characters from the book suffered is basically the result of a very unequal society and greed for either money (alimony) or inheritance (status plus money for the rich family) , it's almost clearly said it makes people lazy and wicked (the s*um gong, his friends and supporters in the family, but also the step brother of the MC on his father's side, etc.)

Despite that clear toxic statement, you have to throw a modest and uninterested MC into the arms of a billionaire, make his rich over night, and accumulate fanning episodes about the compulsive buying or use of big brands that are recognized as the ultimate value to evaluate a person's worth - while of course, it means nothing to them (waste is never a problem)

« Hate the poor worship the rich « still the show while the author doesn't even realize it !

Romance wise, it started with a curious and enthusiastic grown up relationship, it also starts with two males protagonists having the ambition to become husbands...

how refreshing ?!... but all that good stuff doesn't last :/

The second husband soon will be labeled « wife » / sister in law. But that's not the worse: the mature perspective of two grow adults enjoying a full relationship is soon replaced by a 12 years old romance, full of ridiculous 20+year old couple blushing to hold hands, obsessing on hickeys, and nothing more... What with the adulation of abstinent spirit and of blushing « innocence » ? How about hormones deficiency ?

i don't mind ellipses, but how tiresome it is to read roundabout ridiculous ways to add s€xual innuendo in a pile of ridiculous misunderstandings (broken bu*t ends up in but massages, with several interruptions, etc.) It's not cute, it's borderline gruesome !

good point : there's no violence and the dynamic between the two is on the sweet side, the ML is truly devoted and cares in many nice and empowering ways. Strangely. Despite being described as an actual psychiatric patient, he's way more normal than your regular abusive yandere president - go figure

good again, the communication from the MC is extremely good, he never leaves room for misunderstandings ans he's particularly attentive to explain without ambiguity. He also mostly ask when he himself has doubts, it makes for a very clean way to trust one another, that's really cool :) <<less

There is sweet sugar at almost 80% of the story and a little bit of tear-inducing part that makes it perfect for me.

The story wrapped up nicely. But some parts really need more I really want to read more about some characters, especially about the s*um gong and the side pairings.

A fantastic read!!! I love stories where the villain becomes the main character and this did exactly that! It also showed clearly the hypocrisy of the Original Main aka s*um Gong and how his own "friends" we're no less scummy that he was.

I also enjoyed the techy side of the story! I know some people find it cringe but as someone in IT, I love science fiction! Never forget that at one point everything that exists today was once though of as fiction. 💖
Spoiler

I just wish that they did a better job of tying up the loose ends. Like I want to know what happened to the s*um Gong? And did Shen Yijin's father go to jail too? Did the Grandpa Shen leave everything to Shen Yijin? I need more info on what happened with the side characters!!!!

Long unnecessary explanations about MC's actions.

I mean. The whole chapter is nothing more that lines and lines of words I don't care about.

Nothing seem to actually happen.

I read 10 chapters and believe me the scenes occupy only 3/10th of it.

Not a bad read but there’s a lot of unnecessary drama.

MC pre-transmigration was very smart, famous, rich, but sickly. Then he meets ML when he is drugged and has a one night stand, and had a flash engagement with ML 2 days after meeting. All these makes him understandably awkward and distant with ML.

What annoys me is that up until c20, MC is still politely distant to the point where it’s cringe, while ML is actively pursuing MC despite being the richest hottest bachelor in the elite circle with a... more>> rich family and big companies behind him. It’s abit repetitive- ML treats MC as a lover, MC politely rejects, ML tells MC they are lovers so there’s no need to be so polite, MC is touched rinse and repeat. Don’t see how the plot can develop in a way that will make me want to continue reading. Shelved for now <<less

A romance with a capital R. Full of sweet interactions between the 2 protags and I also loved their personalities, especially ML, who stands out very much. His character depth is brilliant. Although he is the typical aloof genius business elite, more than that, he has a certain nobility of character that automatically induces respect from his entourage. This noble temperament is emphasized a LOT. Even MC profoundly respect him from the get go, to the point of always adressing him formally as 'Xiansheng' (similar to japanese Sensei) instead of... more>> his name. MC seems to admire that 'noble' side of ML a lot and never stops calling him by this title.

MC is a maths genius, with an interest in computer science. He has a very cute personality and I loved reading his funny internal monologues. Both protags are straightforward, direct and rational people... not emotionally driven but smart and logical. I have a special love for such characters.

Side note: about the title 'Xiansheng', which is a very formal way of addressing someone of importance, very much like the Japanese 'Sensei' (FYI, sensei comes from Xiansheng and is written exactly the same). Like many titles in asia, 'Xiansheng' have multiple meanings. Translator chose 'Sir' and 'Mr' as substitute but it can also mean 'teacher', 'elder' or 'husband'. The 'Sir' and 'Mr' was very strange and often did not fit the context at all. This becomes especially obvious since MC continues to call ML by this title, even after they get together. If translator used the title throughout, it would have been more authentic and fluent. <<less

This book was really good so I'm quite confused with the low rating. I rarely try books that have a lower rating than 4.5 so I'm glad I was able to encounter this book by accident.

Spoiler

First, others might be quite dissatisfied with the fast paced relationship of the two main characters, and the reason behind them getting together might look illogical at first, however once you read further and understand the ML's situation, you'll also understand how desperate he is in finding a possible "cure" to his illness.

[collapse]

What makes me happy is the world building and character development of both the protagonists and the antagonists of the story. Side characters might not play a huge role and I have encountered a lot of it so it wasn't that big of an issue for me nowadays, but it was actually hard to encounter a story whom the antagonist are logical. The villain in this story which is the original ML of the book might look really s*upid at first, but afterwards he was actually able to analyze the problems within himself and why he wasn't chosen by our MC multiple times. Same goes for the MC's s*um father and s*um half-brother. They were s*upid at first for trying to use MC, but after some beating they were able to use their brain and think of why they weren't worthy of MC's attention in the first place. I think this kind of antagonists who knows how to reflect are more fun to read than those brainless ones.

Next, time wasn't wasted in developing the MC and ML's relationship. Others might find some of the things they do repetitive, but it gives the realistic feel in the story because we as human actually have repetitive day to day activity. Wake up, go to work/school, go home, eat, sleep, etc. The thing is, in those simple day to day activity, MC and ML's feelings are constantly developing. You will always be shoved some dog food. Moreover, you can feel their equal status and respect in that relationship. The ML respect the MC's decisions and vice-versa.

Spoiler

Although the MC is too thin skinned, innocent, and dense? (Like he literally blushes everytime the ML do something sweet), however it was quite understandable when he wasn't exposed to any s*xual stuff and relationship since birth (he just knows there's Haitang that exist but never reads a story and he realizes that he finds man more attractive than woman). The first s*xual thing he encounters was having a one night stand with ML where he was half sober and just remember a little bit of what happened because he was drugged (like ML on top of him, how it feels, and then taking a bath together). Like literally, he was innocent af with no experience with relationship because he grew up like a monk and cares more for his health than those stuff (I mean if I'm constantly on the verge of dying because of illness, I'd rather spend all of my time reaching my personal goals, repaying and treasuring the people who took care of me, and trying to live longer than my body can). He also constantly misunderstood the ML "having no desire" because of the medical records the ML gave him which point out the he was quite unfeeling and asymphatetic to normal human emotions and bipolar. This points should be kept in mind if you're going to read the story.

[collapse]

Lastly, the "revenge" and "dog blood" drama is there because of the nature of the story, but it wasn't excessive. If the offense is light and can be done by talking, then they just talk (like the MC's s*um father). If the antagonist doesn't approach and try to hurt them, then they won't do anything (like the s*um gong). But if the antagonist touch their bottom line, they will give them an unforgettable warning, however they won't kill them (like the s*um half-brother).

Overall, the story is quite realistic and simple. You might get annoyed because the author constantly praise the MC's beauty, but really, the body he was using was the protagonist of the book and possess a protagonist halo, of course he would be beautiful beyond words. The s*um gong might not act like the "ML of a book" but from the start of the story, it was already said that the story was written as if the author hates the MCs and MLs of normal books.

Really good and worth the read, although it was hard to MTL the remaining untranslated chapters it's worth it (but of course I'm still waiting to understand the story more). Ignore the bad reviews and just try it out to see for yourself.

PS. You might get quite dissatisfied with the constant mention of "wife" and female titles for MC, but that's what you'll get in CN novels. Always remember that most CN danmei novels (not all) are written by straight writers and the MLs are usually a version of their "ideal boyfriend". Who is the top and bottom doesn't really matter and most stories shows the equality between the MC and ML because they're both male, however in danmei they were commonly identified as "1" or "0" in bed. If you don't like those kinds, then don't read danmeis. <<less

It is a good story. But if I will based on the original plotline the original male lead is such a tr*sh. You will just realize that who even tf make such a s*umbag double tr*sh and doesn't stop you to bash it again and again in your heart. The villain is obviously more high quality lol. Just want to suggest that if the author want to have a former ML she/he should make it a little outstanding to have a battle to that excellent villain, just a little bit... more>> but making sure we will hate him in the end HAHA anyways all in all it is awesome and the MC is cute and all. <<less

4.5/5*

Simple, yet lovely novel that relies on classic formula of OP characters, gorgeous looking cp, face slapping & dogblood.

Lots of fluff, to the extent that it was a bit draggy in certain parts. Don't expect any clever plot. Face slapping is easy, but still satisfying. Perfectly fine read during dark, cold days and the nth lock down period in my country. It cheers you up a bit, therefore I generously rated this story.

What I really appreciated is that the romance started very quickly due to their one night stand. No... more>> tedious waiting for their first kiss.

MTL was hard to read, but still doable since I read the translation up to chapter 65. The Extras were missing in the raws. <<less

I'm in the middle of reading the MTL, and I LOVE IT!! Too lazy to write a good review, maybe i'll come back later-

But anyways, I highly recommend this novel, the relationship between the MC and the ML is SO. CUTE!! It may be awkward at first (understandable lol) but it gets so sweet later on. There isn't too much drama, it's a really relaxing novel~ In any case, it's my cup of tea and I personally love it :)

Overall a standard lightweight novel with a fairly generic plot but I personally really enjoyed the relationship between the main couple and was reading for that. Do expect this story to have many of the same flaws and repetitive themes that most of these lightweight transmigrated-into-a-novel stories have.

The main thing I loved about this story is that we get a well-paced and quite sweet relationship development. The MC and ML find each other appealing from the start, and it grows into love at a pace that feels neither too fast... more>> nor too slow, and really focuses on the sincere and often sweet interactions between the two.

ML is the latest contender for Least Talkative ML and fits the stereotypical OP, cold to everyone CEO. However, the story really places him as a proper character in the story, and his constant sincerity towards the MC, and general decency, is really relaxing to read compared to the arrogant and overbearing ones we often get. He has a vague, trauma-related mental illness that is described as "something like bipolar, " (though it's not), but the author seems to have just made up a mental illness to suit their story, so don't read this expecting too much, despite it being a significant part of the plot and their relationship.

I also enjoy this type of MC - sweet and sincere but capable and not s*upid. This is a CN novel, so of course both the ML and the MC are the mostest attractive people (and every CN ML has legs as tall as a building), but if you set that aside, he has one main strength that helps him succeed wherever the ML doesn't just smooth away the problems. This isn't the kind of story where he's supposed to really experience difficulties. The author gave him a background of severe illness that allowed them to plausibly make him less experienced, but at the same time gave him an inner strength that made him more capable than a childish, naive bunny MC would be.

As I said, the overall plot is fairly generic, with no characters really fleshed out other than the main couple, and just enough uninteresting antagonists (who we're not supposed to think to much about or sympathise with) popping up to create minor problem and give the main couple something to do. The real strength of the story lies in all of the moments and interactions between the main couple. I like this kind of relationship that is about them building trust and understanding rather than stories that just give them misunderstandings, love rivals, uncertainties and drama (or just want to have them go at it in bed all the time). (I'll also acknowledge that the boring ex who keeps popping up actually genuinely self-reflects, eventually.)

Well, I really found this couple to be sweet and supportive, and really satisfying to read, so it suited my taste and I wasn't too bothered by its weaknesses.

(Extra: One small thing regarding a mention someone made about the final antagonist and abortion:
Spoiler

She wasn't forced to get an abortion, but it's a valid complaint about the story. It's an extremely minor part of the whole novel and exists more to tie up the ML's issues than to make her a significant, well-written character. Her motivation for her original wrong-doing is that the head of the family set a rule that his children weren't allowed to have children outside of their marriage. Because she was having an affair with his son and got pregnant, the son was going to make her have an abortion, and the story presented this as her motivation for doing unforgivably terrible things, but never addressed whether the head of the family's rule was cruel and continued to treat him as a good person.

I think the problem here is that it was a rushed motivation given to a character who was just there as a plot device, and so the novel ignored all the questions it brought up. I think you COULD explain it as the rule was not that illegitimate pregnancies had to be aborted, but that they weren't allowed to happen in the first place, and it was the cheating s*um son who was trying to get her to abort it rather than the head of the family insisting on aborting pregnancies. But it doesn't say that.

You could also say that she could have chosen to keep the child without their support, and that either way what she did afterwards was still unforgivable, but it's still uncomfortable that the novel doesn't break this down at all. Personally, I read this part as another exemple of weak writing and I ignored it, since it's such a small part of the story, but it is the kind of attitude towards female villain characters that unfortunately occurs too often in novels like this and I'm just glad this was the only real instance this story.
