Jing Xun transmigrated into a novel called “All for love” and became the protagonist shou who was about to jump off the building because of love.

In the original book, the video of the protagonist jumping off a building circulated on the internet; he was known as a college student who wasted educational resources and did not have self-respect.

As a learning tyrant, Jing Xun asked: “Seriously, who is that?”

Jing Xun was good-looking and good at studying. He was simply excellent in all aspects but his health was not good.

Although he had transmigrated into a BE s*um novel, he felt very fortunate because he finally had a healthy body… so Jing Xun planned to kick the s*um gong away and do all the things he couldn’t do before.

However, he didn’t expect that the first extraordinary thing he did after transmigrating was to stand in a claustrophobic and dim room after being drugged, and ask for help from a handsome and indifferent Mr. Long Legs:

“Mister, can you help me?”

After a night of passion, Jing Xun felt that this gentleman was a good person.

Until two days later, Mr. Long legs came to the door and wanted to marry him.

Jing Xun: …Wasn’t it just a one-night stand!?

This story is for those who want to take a break from dog blood novels. It's not about the plot It's about treatment

Don't expect a smart, charismatic MC, he's a Gerry Sue, but that's what I wanted, so I liked it. I laughed and was embarrassed

That was cute. The relationships between the main characters are something to start reading for. If you like this type of story without meaning, this is for you

Spoiler

During heated moments, I screamed into my pillow. Yes, I like it

Intriguing Beginning, Stellar Couple, But...

The story hooks the reader from the outset with an interesting premise. The central couple, a true power couple, is fantastically developed and their dynamic is captivating.

However, despite the generous helping of "dogblood drama" (a term for overly dramatic and formulaic plot elements), I found myself unexpectedly sympathetic towards the antagonist, the "s*um gong" (a Chinese web novel term for a despicable male character), by the conclusion.

... more>> A Rushed Finale: A Missed Opportunity

The novel's ending is undeniably rushed. Cramming the resolution into a handful of chapters feels forced and, frankly, ridiculous.

This hurried pace undermines the story's impact, leaving me deeply dissatisfied.

A Flaw in the Farewell: The Stepmom's Anguish (Spoiler Alert)

Spoiler

The final chapter's portrayal of the stepmother's emotions left me unsettled. The revelation that she was coerced into an abortion is a heavy one, with profound emotional repercussions that are often overlooked. In a well-paced narrative, this plot point could have been explored with greater depth and nuance. Unfortunately, the rushed ending relegates it to a superficial plot device, diminishing its significance.

I was hoping that I would like this story, or that it would be different from what it actually ended up being. I thought I would see a powerful character, and I understand the circumstances of a person who has lived with a sick body and who unfortunately has not been able to live normally.

But, I dislike how things play out for him, because I feel like I'm reading a 7-year-old person mentally in some ways and it makes me conflict between what they say, and what is "shown" in... more>> the novel.

You can really like it if you want to read for the sake of reading, pass the time without getting anywhere. <<less

Won't rate it because I haven't read much, but here is my reasoning:

I found the novel very boring. The chapters seem to go on and on about things that don't really matter, and nothing much happens in each one. First few chapters I was already skipping ahead to see if something interesting happened.

If you're someone who likes the action, drama, very engaging plot to keep your attention, you won't like this. Or maybe you will, who knows, but personally I didn't.

ML starts as your typical cold detached CEO. A lot... more>> of reviews praise his character and backstory so I don't have much to say about him. What doesn't help here is that I didn't find MC a very interesting character. It's very focused on how much of an OP academic genius he is and, in my opinion, extremely unrealistic at that. Exceeding in one's field is fine, but this felt farfetched at times, especially with people looking at him like a god and celebrity. I don't mind OP characters at all, but only if the situation kind of justifies it (like in QT novels you find a lot of OP MCs who went basically through countless worlds and lifetimes, not always the most realistic but it's more bearable in my opinion). Maybe the fact that I graduated not that long ago is making me more impatient towards school/university and job settings so the beginning being focused on that kind of already made me not enjoy it as much as I could have.

In conclusion, my biggest problem is that the text drags out too much and there are no characters appealing to me. Even MC and ML's meeting after the one night stand felt kind of dry. I guess you'd like this novel if you're really into slice of life. <<less

This was a really good story. It was refreshing that that gay marriage was legal in the story world. I like that more than one person transmigrated in the story. I thought it was written from a very interesting point of you where the MC was not a damsel in distress, and was able to fix their hardships on their own, albeit with help from the ML but they could’ve clearly done it on their own.

As much as I like this story, I thought there were some things that were... more>> solved too quickly or altogether forgotten. If these things would’ve been addressed, I think it would’ve made for a much more polished story.

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

So these are some things that were left unresolved that I thought had they been addressed correctly would’ve made for a much better story.

  • The main antagonist in the story is the MC’s ex-boyfriend, who also happens to be the ML’s half brother... He plays a very important part in this story, yet at the very end, his story arc is simply closed with a one line, stated that he moved away and severed ties with the family and that nobody knew where he was at and it was OK even though for 3/4 of the story he was a central part of the story.
  • The MC family in the transmigrated timeline is never mentioned again after there is all this build up to the family needing financial assistance to deal with the younger brothers leukemia. Once the MC provides them with medical care and the mother gives her blessing for their union. It’s like the author forgot they existed. They were not even invited or mentioned in the wedding chapter after the MC had made such a big deal about how important this family was to him since in his original timeline, he was an orphan.
  • Side character stories are not really developed at all... Even main side characters like the close friend that also transmigrated from the original timeline with the MC. The ML also has a close friends who were a couple that had several conflicts... They go from not being able to speak to each other for several years to there’s a one line mention that they’ve been married for a long time.

Yes it is sweet, but ehhh, I kinda clickbaited by the genius MC tag (me love some industry elite protagonist). Just like most romance novels do, career and family are tossed asides after the official 'get together' (either when they finally confessed, or when they got the marriage certificate). We don't even see MC's mother and his stepfather + brother attending his wedding most likely because the author forgot about them. All of that sense of responsibility and mission MC had towards them ends up just being used as a... more>> plot device. Pleasantly surprised when MC's senior in his original world got transmigrated too, but he ends up doing nothing to the plot other than one line description of how their research boasted after he joins the team, and then adding more useless side pairing.

Seriously though, so many authors do side pairing but only one that I have read has done it right. For me personally, side pairing shouldn't in any way and time, steal the main character's limelight. That is one of the main reason many people frowns upon noticing side pair in their reads, most of the time the side pairs are just like these annoying super bowl ads broadcasted in your anticipated game. No matter how good it looks, it just annoyed people who are there for the game. It's either that or just uselessly useless like this one. Like why do you even need to add side pairs if they have at max, a 1 chapter paragraph interaction long? Forget about the side pairing interaction, even the characters who participated in it never had that much screen time or interaction with the main characters. <<less

This novel has a lot of mixed reviews...

I'll be frank—it's not the worst read. It's not mindblowingly good either. I think it's decent in its own sub-genre of "transmigrated into a book" danmei. My rule of thumb: if the reviews are equally split between people downright hating it & those who thought it was alright, then it's all up to YOU. tr*sh is subjective; try your luck & gamble with it.

It's a very shallow read. I don't think you'll do yourself any harm reading it if you understand what... more>> you're signing up for. Turn of your brain, enjoy the nonsensical dog food. Now if you did come into this read with expectations... we may have an issue...

Random ramblings:

Spoiler

I remember reading the TL's notes about how she wishes there was an alt universe where Shen Boyan goes back in time to make up for his mistakes. A bit like the extra arc in Face of a Devil. But let me say: ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Shen Boyan is a s*upid piece of clay that shouldn't even dare of wishing to go back in time & undo his mistakes. I don't believe in redemption for him. He hasn't really done anything worth my sympathies after his epiphanies aside from crying & getting a cold several times. He wallows only in guilt & regrets, which should be the proper conclusion for the dude. He needs to get over it & live a life that doesn't include MC

A cute read, and the ML and MC have a healthy (imo) and loving relationship.

I didn't get bored, the only parts I didn't like was when the MC's father/ brother showed up. I didn't need to see my cute couple get into dogblood. The author also really lampshaded good side characters, who appeared and then disappeared forever. On holiday I guess. So them getting more scenes would have been nice, esp. The OG shou's family. But it's not a long novel and was centered around the MLs healing each others... more>> wounds cause by life playing hard. So that at least was adorable and very satisfying.

OG s*um gong also went loco which I found bizarre and made me wonder if he was affected so much by losing the OG shou because of novel shenanigans. I almost felt bad for him because he hadn't gone full evil bastard yet (just a f*ckboi), but all of his misery was self inflicted. He's rich, take a damn holiday, travel and get over it. So dramatic. <<less

I originally wanted to give it a 5 star but author forgot a lot of things 😭😭😭

I can't describe how I love both MC and ML, they are just so frickin cute! Their own character themselves are well written especially ML, damn he's written so well. I must say just read the other 5 star review for brief reviews cuz I'm lazy to write in details hahahahaha.

I really really enjoy the whole ride if not just for very obvious plot holes and details that author missed. Plus I'm unsatisfied with... more>> the extras as I'm expecting an extra about the side couple... I'll put in spoiler the list that bothers me even tho its not really spoiler
Spoiler
  • Xun Xun forgot his stuffs in his dorm, especially THAT SUPER EXPENSIVE WATCH! And even the coat! I think it'll be cute addition if author didn't forgot about this details.
  • Author forgot about Xun Xun's family even on the wedding day... dude I was looking forward to see his little bro get better and communicate with him.
  • Author didn't pay attention to interesting side characters.
  • Author didn't bother to give us even 1 chapter extra about Tang Li & Assistant Jin and Xiao Tang & Senior Pei... Bruh I was looking forward for it...
  • The part where they punish the witch is boring, there's no follow up face slap after sending her to police.
  • Author didn't even give us a glimpse of what happen to SBH in the end, he just disappeared...
  • Author focused to much on our leads that she ended up treating the side characters as decorations when they are all interesting, even the senior Xun Xun worked with at the school before.
  • There's something that's bothering me but I can't point out what it is...

2nd time reading it now that it's been translated, I enjoyed it enough to read twice so 4 stars it is, but it does have it's flaws.

I do agree with another reviewer it gets a little boring around chapter 70 ish. To find out the MLs past I stuck it out. The extras aren't really extras, just a 6 month time skip for more of the same.

MC was naive and cute at the beginning, but I dislike how he never grew. Blushing until the end, never calling the ML by... more>> his name (really got tired of Sir), didn't become confident when dealing with others
Spoiler

like why couldn't he ever just openly and honestly say that ML is his BF/fiance/husband. One of the extras he tries to hide it until 1 of the girls from his class notice ML on TV is the same from his moments

[collapse]

The ML was fine, at least the author tried to explain why he was the typical cold CEO, who never loved anyone before.

Spoiler

during a thunderstorm when he is 5 years old, he witnesses his mother falling to the ground in an apparent su*cide. She fell outiside while he was staring out the window at the rain. This makes him have a recurring nightmare about it, and leads him to hate rain, lightning, reflections on glass, making him fall into a deep depression.

The twist that made the ML blacken is that the step mom is the one who actually mu*dered his mom while arguing with her. He spent most of his childhood hating his mom for leaving him alone then he finds out that the woman who replaced her and he lived with is the one that killed her, this makes him snap in the OG novel. Of course in this one the power of love saves the day ☺️

[collapse]

The author also forgets about characters and changes some details, but I've become numb to it when reading web novels. Translations good, most things that have notes are addressed. <<less

idk what's up with some of these other reviews...

it's just like a not serious read where both characters improve their lives because they are together. transmigration due to a classic car accident, not like MC died because the story his senior was telling him was so bad it killed him...

it's not action packed, it is packed with sequences of them looking incredibly beautiful together and having nice outfits. But like it's just the style of this story.

The author seems to want to focus on relationship building between MC and ML... more>> and how that heals them both in different ways. ML gives MC safe ways to explore the world he was never able to in his original world and body. MC gives ML the support and companionship he needs to face the mysterious blackening villain syndrome from the book. <<less

If you're looking for something more tranquil with little drama, this is it.

ML, no problem there, MC however is a bit of a fragile flower, in an annoying sense. He tends to evoke everybody's maternal instincts for protection and care, despite facing off well against conflicts all by himself.

The relationship between the protagonists grows steadily however weirdly.

I have problems with MC calling ML 'Sir' or 'Mr. Villain' even 'til the end and how little MC is giving ML compared to what he's been receiving from him.

Spoiler

ML takes MC into utmost consideration and respect, MC does the same but keeps him more or less still at an arm's length over the majority of the course of the story, like with how he addresses ML. ML needed a lot of security from MC's side and ML was naturally romantic and caring enough while MC was just enjoying these benefits and reciprocating it all instead of giving anything back.

It's also uncomfortable how he tells ML that he's ill and will be better when being asked by ML if he was afraid of him. While I like to remind people that MC himself was born with a permanent weak constitution, so whether physical or mental, sometimes illnesses don't go away. I felt like it could've been phrased better by the author not to make ML feel like he's only worthy of love and care once he's completely recovered.

Later when he tried to steer ML off course of his Villain role, he didn't do it subtly either and it felt almost accusatory most of the time as if ML's doing something shady w/o him knowing, showing his little trust in him.

If it wasn't for his occasional le*d train of thoughts, I wouldn't have liked MC at all, he felt too... sterile? Too pure? Like a little child, too naive.

Also, very tunnel vision type of narrative. Spotlight focuses on the main couple and forgets a lot of side characters unless they're needed, like MC's family (younger stepbrother, mother, and stepfather).

Another instance of absolute discomfort for readers might be when the stepfather of MC who never mistreated the host or the current version of him was ignored when MC&ML came to announce their relationship. Younger stepbrother didn't even get a single appearance. It was said he felt a connection to the mother but only spoke to her over the phone but she was also never mentioned afterward.

They didn't even appear at their wedding.

[collapse]

Over time, it mostly gave off the vibes that ML is 10 years older than he should be, to the point of being canonically compared to a parent. So in addition to MC's fragile little flower image, they feel more like parent and child whenever they're not engaged in s*xual intimacy, like on their coffee shop dates.

The major downer is that this is a flowery novel. No sustenance but the gloating moments for the protagonists while constantly describing and mentioning their looks 5x per chapter is a bit nauseating. Before when it still had some face slapping it was still a decent palate cleanser, but when things got gradually too steady, it was almost frustrating and got me rolling my eyes when 'almond eyes', 'peach blossom eyes' 'soft waist' 'ice/cool' 'eye-catching mole' keywords got mentioned it's triggering.

These descriptions and comparisons are extremely monotonous as well.

Not to mention the popularity of iceberg CEOs isn't exactly small in number. I GET IT, he's a modern emperor, I GET IT, argh!!

*cough*

TL;DR: Great to alright start-mid section, please let it just get it over with ending.

S/N: Great translations <<less

This novel is great, it's light hearted and the drama isn't big. I'm here for the fluff and dog food. XD

Life for MC is smooth sailing after transmigrating and meeting his OP president husband that only started to feel feelings after meeting him (reason: childhood traum).

Honestly the most unique thing about this novel is that MC and ML (semi accidentally) sleep with each other the first time they meet.

Spoiler

MC was drugged and ML was suffering under his trauma induced mental illness. And as you know, things happen when it's dark.

*wiggles eyebrows*

[collapse]

I mean, think about it. How rare is it to actually get a snusnu scene in a Chinese novel and then even in the first few chapter!? The river crabs were devently sleeping when this scene was written and I'm happy about that!

The only negative part about this novel would be the lack of explanation for MC's transmigration (Mention of a car crash, but not his death.) and some other plot holes, for example:

  • what happened to the s*um after ML and MC live married, happily ever after together
  • and how is MC'S new family and especial sick brother doing?
But well in the end it's not that that important. It was a nice read. <<less

It's a very cute novel. There's face slapping and drama but it's quite minor, somehow the novel never felt boring though. MC and ML respect and love each other a lot, there's never really misunderstandings or angst between them. MC is also not overshadowed by ML, he retains his OPness.

Obviously if you don't enjoy Gary Stu type characters, this won't be for you, but if you do, it's a great read and really well translated.

Note the 1-star review above only mentions at the very end that they've read all of... more>> 6 chapters, so uh, take that for what it is. <<less

Its a flufy read, the ML is absolutely wonderful. MC a cinnamon bun. There’s drama and face slapping but it’s not heavy, and the villains are not annoying s*upid. The story mostly focus on the daily lives of the main cp and as usual doting from ML. ML is super sweet to MC, and MC super support ML. There’s not much plot, just light family drama and fluff. It's an okay-ish read.

It's for those, who can endure slow romance.

There's are a few strange things but all in acceptable range.

Author tried to explain their love through their actions instead of their words or any obvious hinting at first.

I find it strange how Jing xun kept calling Shen Yijin Mr./sir till end. Actually, it's not something one cannot endure. But many people might find it strange. (Including me)

It would be more fun if the author showed more of side couple in main story instead.

Once again, it's author's choice.
