I am waiting for more chapters. I have read the novel till chapter 137. If someone know when will translator complete translating this novel, please let me know.

When I read reviews about this story, I was hesitating to start reading it because many have mention MC's short coming or how the details related to MC is not mentioned in the novel because of that this novel may looks like have lots of open loop holes.

But if you take this novel from the perspective of girl (MC) who wants to live... more>> fully and the writer's perspective who doesn't want to waste words in explaining details and wants to keep this novel fluffly cute novels so you will accept it more easily.

Novel is well balanced in all sense.

MC: character buildup is also good. First MC wants to live fully so she thinks she should show dominant behavior to get her happiness because she is from the time where you have to to fight for food and everything. So from the start she had that mentality but when she start behaving shy and blush more. This was positive change in her. She is accepting being loved and when she tried to complain about everything to Duke. This development seems like she is letting go past and becoming dependent in someone whom she trust fully.

ML: he was block of wood. But he strat learning everything step by step. Few things he did which seems s*upid or someone could think he is forcing her behavior on her (when Duke start sending her fruits and she said she didn't want it anymore but Duke still send her... Duke thought because she is shy that's why she is saying NO, like in the story. duke read and learn from) but he learned after it.

Through out this fluffly novel if you just focus on main MC and ML.

I love this novel and I want to request translator to please translate this novel. <<less

Overall, I liked this story but I was a little disappointed that there were not much focus on her being fierce (because it started out that way). Although I did guess that it might have happened because her life just got more and more comfortable.

This novel is more slice of life than anything with an OP MC.

It's quite good at first, as the story goes it become a bit too absurd. The novel's FL is a bit reckless without brain, she keep getting revenge on all people without focus. And the MC mostly will listen news about FL from her servant and told to her husband then he'll deal with it. Not much action or direct face slap from MC, she's like watching a drama and pulling string behind to make FL's plan failed.

Spoiler

A lot of not make sense plot like when there are 2 king compete for the throne because current emperor is sick, when the emperor got cured, both faction just lost their backing no rebel or something. Both just accept it that they can't become the emperor and still tried to make each other fall. Also one of FL's sister who got schemed by FL tried to revenge and become FL's maid to get opportunity but she regret it because she need to serve FL and not used to hard work. In the end she just wait until FL got ruined by her own plot.

[collapse]

Overall I enjoyed reading the first part of story before MC married and give birth, after that it's kinda a bit boring until the end. <<less

If I could I would rate this novel a 2.5, so a 2 will have to do.

The FL doesnt focus on revenge, that is cool but she doesn't fight back at all. She constantly gets squeezed like a soft persimmon by the villains and they get away with their bad deeds. When the villains do get f*cked over it barely has anything to do with FL. She just sits at home making magical fairy wine and making babies the ML.

Villains stay around in this story WAY TOO LONG. This wouldn't... more>> be a problem if the villains weren't dumb as bricks and weren't 2D cardboard cutouts. An interesting villain is actually pretty fun... unfortunately this story doesn't have a fun villain.

The author flip flops on multiple details within the story. Makes for a VERY inconsistent read. It mildly annoyed me.
Spoiler

An example of one is: Jiang Ningbao had memories of her past life from birth in one chapter and the next she was just a transmigrated person.

[collapse]

Then we have Jiang Ningabo and the branch family headed by her "grandmother" Jesus... after they did so much terrible stuff
Spoiler

ie: literally plotting to kill her parents and bullying her and her brother

[collapse]
just because of a secret the grandmother holds Ningbao lets the family go and even ends up SUPPORTING them in the end... so basically... this FL isn't concerned with revenge and I like that but shes a damn pushover! If she didn't have a marriage with the Duke and his "evil aura" protecting her I'd be seriously worried the FL would have died within the first 20 chapters. She seems smart enough to plot she just DOESNT DO ANYTHING.

The good thing is the babies are cute and the story has sufficient fluff to satisfy. Also, it's a short read and not 10, 000 plus chapters unlike other transmigration romance novels. <<less

Recommended to those who don't want to invest much emotion and want fluffly

It's an easy read kind of novel

Here you got chilled MC (Jiang Ningbao)

and woodblock at first but actually hornny ML (Xie Dingguagong)

I like their interaction so much, no misunderstanding between them at all, they are that kind of couple who talk to each other so indeed there's no problem or dog blood drama for them

Spoiler

It's interesting that author write MC who have been through apocalypes, transmigtate (born as a baby I guess) then live a life with family who help turn her fierced temperament to leisure and soft nature, only to realise later that she actually transmigrate into the book/story of reborn-to-revenge when the plot was already thicken and she almost got tangle in the mess

But don't expect too much, this is just a fluff story ;)

Our Ding Guagong is actually a pitiful person he grew up 28 years of life unable to get close to anyone even his own mother because of the deathful aura (unknown origin; I don't know if author wants to link him with that person who killed the zombie king and commited su*cide because he was infected (?) But it's such a useful gadget, because of it, our ML, even if he's so powerful, he doesn't even have a bed servance, no one except our MC can get close to him, pretty good huh? In the era where 3 wives 4 concubines are normal our ML can not get close to anyone anyway :))))

The original FL is disgusting through and through. she wants to retaliate against those who wronged her in the past, those who interrupt her plans, those who make she feels jealous, actually she turn against everthing anything that she felt like it's an eyes sore to her -_-""

I actually felt bad for her subordinates, they are all suffered because she had so much confident on her own plan and her own knowledge about what going to happened when she should think of the consequence of her action. She's too selfish, self center, greedy and proably never actually love anyone

I kinda feel sad for original ML in the book though, in the end even though he dream of the other life where he lived with original Jiang Ningbao but the Jiang Ningbao in his dream actually doesn't exist in this timeline. I hope his marriage will bring a good closure to him and get rid of the lingering feels he has for our MC.... QAQ...

I have a mix feeling about the ending though, it kind of good and bad at the same time, maybe it was because I don't want it to end yet

The story is so good and a very enjoyable read. Just note about the villainess. I really cannot understand her character why is she so fixated on her so called revenge on people who has not harm her or do anything harmful towards her, i.e. The MC amongst other characters. I thought that as she had been given a second chance that she would do her best to have a good life and improved her next future life, but no she still went to her road of destruction.

there were some loose ends as well.

I noticed some reviewers had some complaints about her being reborn from current times, that she should have had more issues with the age gap, known more etc but...
Spoiler

she was living in a zombie apocalypse and it was never stated how old she was when zday happened. For all we know she could have just been a child when the zombies came about. She does say she survived for a while, watching all her friends and family die before the zombie king was killed. I have a feeling zombie land was probably more primative than ancient China, so she would have been used to worse. Also, she doesn't transmigrate into the book, she is reborn into it. For the first 16 years she lives as a normal ancient Chinese girl until the flood of memories from her past life and the book come to her. So it makes sense that she would still be okay with the age gap.

[collapse]

I'm not saying this book doesn't have flaws or has deep characters but for me it was easy to overlook. I love the ML, he is old but doesn't know much about females because of his constitution which gave some laughs. The MC isn't an idiot and I like how the author explains why the can't get rid of the books MC easily. I really wish the original ML a good life.

One thing I didn't like was the grey moral area with the grandma
Spoiler

I get that she saved the MC's father from becoming a s*ave or even being put to death, but I feel like the slate should have been wiped clean when her son tried to mu*der them and all the crap the aunt pulled.

Also I think another reviewer had it wrong, the MC's father was the grandma's sister's son. He had no blood relation to the grandfather, just the grandma. The grandma really did do a good thing by sheltering him and put her and her family at risk by doing so. It also said that though she favored her son more she treated him well until he ignored her wishes and married the MC's mom. Then she becomes jealous at his success and his kids success to the point there are no feelings left. So the MC in exchange for her sheltering the dad will shelter that branch. As the dad explained it, he felt guilty because if he wasn't sheltered than main branch wouldn't have tried to kill him and wouldn't had their title revoked.

[collapse]

I didn't like the whole main family story line, it's like the author wanted to add depth to the villians but only did it for the grandma, making her feel out of place. It made me unfulfilled since there was no face slap. <<less

No rating yet since I was originally going to drop it after the first chapter, but Skite's (frankly insane) spoilers convinced me to give it another chance. This is just because I wanted to share why I was turned off by the first chapter.

To be blunt, the writing (or TL?) of the first chapter is bad. Doing this kind of cold open with information overload can be really good for reincarnator/transmigrator/returner plots, but I feel like it was really mishandled here. There's too much random information that is shared in... more>> a way that doesn't feel natural at all, and MC's reaction (or rather non-reaction) doesn't work at all for her. If she was the reincarnator/returner it would make sense, but for a transmigrator it's too calm and accepting. And going back to the information overload, some of the stuff is completely unnecessary details that feels awkward to read.

I can't help but compare it to novels like Greetings, Ninth Uncle or I Became The Stepmother of My Ex-husband. Those also had immense information overload, but the way the characters gained the memories, despite being really unrealistic, felt natural. The flow was also very good- you get dropped into an important pivotal event right from the get-go, then an intial setup where MC goes over the basics of the plot, her life immediately moves on, and more details about the plot is slowly revealed. MC of IBTSOME was also a reincarnator, and she had some actual issues adapting to the new body from the start, unlike this MC who wakes up and already knows what to do.

I'm sorry to compare, but it's really all I can think of to properly explain my POV here. <<less

Definitely worth the time. The thing that makes it different from other ancient novel is that there's not third party bit*h that would make the story 3000+ chapters. Its the MC with her baby boo back up ML against the antagonists.

It's simple and fluffy. Not so much angst and bloody stuff. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

One of the lousiest novel I unfortunately read.

The MC was only proactive when chasing and flirting with the ML. She basically offered herself on a silver platter.

For someone who transmigrated from an apocalyptic world and knows the story, as well as what the antagonist was capable of, she was too passive. I thought that she would at least try to do something significant by this point but I was utterly disappointed. All she ever really thought was how to hook up with the ML. Everything else was disregarded or was... more>> put at the back of her mind.

She's the perfect example of someone who cannot do anything or survive without a man or someone helping her.

The deal breaker was that even just for entering an insignificant party, she needed help from another man instead of thinking for herself. She's extremely useless. <<less

When I decided to MTL a story, then it was that interesting. It's a transmigration story, which I'm really not fond of as it doesn't give justice to the original host. But, as this transmigrator retained all memory of the original host, her feeling towards the other characters, leaned towards originality. The timeline was confusing. In fact, it was one of the downcast of the story. So, I decided to share my thought on that part.

Transmigrator woke up and realized she's in a novel. She's now Jiang Ningbao, age 16 and her engagement was about to end. As the story progressed, Jiang Ningbao memories of the past surfaced and that's when the confusion started. If she transmigrated at 16 years old, how can she know what the original host did in her younger years. If I'm not mistaken, the book she read started at the time her engagement ended. The brief explanation given was that she retained the original host's memories.

In the memories, Jiang Ningbao ex-fiance, the male lead, ended their engagement to marry a woman he saved. She was against it and end up being the villain who of course, met her demise. This time, given a chance, she decided to change her fate.

The original FL was reborn. In her previous life, she was a royal concubine who was never happy. And so in this new life, she decided to marry a man who is loyal to only one woman. She chose ML because in her previous life, he was loyal to Jiang Ningbao.

And so, we have Jiang Ningbao with the memory of losing her fiance and becoming a villain and we have the FL with the memory of becoming a royal concubine and being jealous towards Jiang Ningbao lovey-dovey marriage with the ML. Welcome to the club if you're confused.

My understanding was that, this was their third life. FL only retained the memory of the first life while Jiang Ningbao retained the memory of the second life. If that was not the case, then I don't know what is anymore.

The title of this story explained it all, Jiang Ningbao married her ex-fiance foster father. She's 16 while he's 28. Please take note that it's ancient time where female married as early as 11 years old while male at around 14 years old. For female, passing the age 20 without marriage was consider a spinster as oppose to 25 for male.

The story is in progress for translation. So, maybe wait a while for it to finish. MTL tend to be confusing in regard of name.

I like this novel so much. It's a relaxing and not a bad read for me. I think many people are confused about MC's background: (this isn't really a spoiler since you can know this in the first few chapters. But still I'll add the spoiler tag) : ... more>>
Spoiler

In her previous life she lived through an apocalypse, where she had "no ability" - in the sense like lightning powers or fire powers like that, but she had an "un dying body"- so she won't die unless she commits su*cide or die of old age. She also has a special physique where the wine she brews are special. She dies and transmigrates to the ancient era where she lived for 16 years and on the day Heir Xie comes to break off engagement, she had a dream. Through that dream, she knows she's inside of a book where Heir Xie is the ML and Yang Shuqing is the Reborn FL.

[collapse]

There's one thing that irks me. Although I understand that if not for Old Madam Jiang, Father Jiang wouldn't exist and would have died out there, I really can't bring myself to like how the Jiang family turned out in the end. Like seriously? Bruh how can you give them a good ending ?

Spoiler

Father Jiang and Jiang Ningbao decided to give in to them on 'small requests'? And restored the count title. Like bruh, they'll suck you dry with their so called small requests in the future. I hoped their title wouldn't be restored, not would the second grandson Jiang be rescued. Jiang Mingyao is okay. Like she didn't do anything toouch and was helped by MC. Others don't deserve MC's help though. I want them to suffer. Although I know it's reasonable that she helps them, I can't bring myself to like this

[collapse]

Other than that, I like everything about this novel 😄 Have a nice read friends 😉 <<less

A good, not much draggy drama or too dog blood story. It could be just a very smooth sailing romance for MC and Ml. But this plot have brainless villains though. Anyway its a good read not too much up and down. With a satisfactory face slap. There maybe some “grievances “ not “revenge “ with great fanfare as most novels (usually they will eliminate or fall to a very miserable states) But here because of fate and and intelligent villain and wise side characters, they manage to save... more>> themselves. Lol. So its kinda slice of life story with some political drama and a brainless villainess and some good plots, the book is quite a good read. I like the MC no nonsense straightforward, and ML cute stoic and innocent sometimes character. So this book considers a wife pampering story too. Lol. Thank you <<less

Not the best; not the worst. Could use a LOT of improvement. Translation is pretty good, though it could use some editing.

FL is the most passive and divorced from the plot that I've ever seen. If there's drama, 7 out of 10 she's in the audience with us, which is kinda boring, as she's doing more watching than face-slapping, especially as the story goes on.

Time moves strangely in that it gets sped up a LOT. When I got to chapter 100, it still felt very unfinished, but a lot of... more>> the side plots were just explained away in vague summaries, which was a letdown.

This story is basically just watching the OGFL run out of halo/luck on x10 speed as FL sits back and does nearly nothing.

It's around a 3.7 for me, but definitely not worth rounding up, considering how unsatisfying it felt towards the end, so I'm rounding down to a 3. <<less

It's finally finished and I'm happy about that. Not because it was bad but because it's nice to see a story I'm happy to read get an ending.

The story itself is not that long, when you compare it to those 1000 mammoth stories out there. It's not complicated either. There is hardly any conflict, and what little there is gets resolved fairly quickly that it doesn't seem like conflict at all. There are multiple people that "know the plot" even if they are not part of the original story, like... more>> the MC. She comes from a post apocalyptic world that dies and enters the story. She is very laid back, hardly gets flustered throughout the entire story. Some may find it boring but I liked her level head.

The ML is also pretty boring when you compare him to other love interests. He doesn't do a whole lot and doesn't seem to have much of a personality. The story gives you his personality traits rather than show it. The same can be said of the ML's adopted son and MC's former fiance. He was there but not really. He wasn't bad. He didn't go out of his way to make himself disliked. He wasn't mean. He was just dumb but he realized what he did wrong and that was mostly thanks both to his girlfriend and the fact that he started to get past memories. He sort of vanishes into the background and wasn't heard from toward the end of the story.

The bad guy, or bad girl in this case, was one denominational. She was focused on revenge but dug a hole for herself. The MC hardly felt threatened by her which speaks a lot about the type of villain she was. She had a very sad ending that I can't say she deserves but she served her purpose for the story, I suppose.

Overall, the story is nice and easy to read. It doesn't have many highs or lows. It's a smooth read and good for anyone looking to detox after reading something particularly stimulating. The translation was very good and I appreciate the work done by the translators. <<less

It is great at first but after 70+ I do not enjoy it as much in the beginning. Many unnecessary details and scenes. At first the counterattack from FL is great and it's become lame after that. The author seems drag the ending. It could reach the ending around 80-90. Also I do think details about the zombie is unnecessary. The story would be fine without it. And I unsatisfied with Yang Shu 's ending. She needs to pay more. In the end the one who lost the most is... more>> Prince Qin. This s*upid prince. Love is blind and the Prince is blind.

The plus of this novel is it fluffy. <<less
