Kondou Seiichirou, 29, was tired.

Living the life of a corporate s*ave, he didn’t know day from night.

Unable to break the status quo, his days of nothing but work continued till one day his life completely changed when he got dragged into a saint summoning and came to another world…Not!

Seiichirou, who had the spirit of a corporate s*ave ingrained in him, decided to work even in the other world, at the Royal Accounting Section.

However, this section only existed to seal approval on the unreasonable expenses of high-ranking people, and was also known as the “Rubber Stamp Department”.

The budget requests of “Third Knight Order”, where the ones with strong magical power gathered, were particularly outrageous!

Seiichirou, who had been an assistant to the section manager in the accounting section of an IT company, would never let that happen, and embarked on a mission to revamp the finances of the royal palace.

It's sooooo good, I loved this so much. Well written plot, good characters and everything about the romance is pure heaven for me.

I like both the MC and ML! And I looVEed the smutty parts of the story (I was surprised how much I enjoyed the smut in this I don't usually read it but I'm definitely reading yaoi smut next time hehe~)

This deserves 100001/10! :D

People have been giving this a 5 star but Imma going to give it a 4.. If it wasn't for the translator's good job in translating, I would have given it a 3.

The plot is one I've been waiting for, actually.. A Male MC isekia'd in a fantasy world instead of a girl. (Well, technically, he's like a side character since the 'main character' accidentally pulled him in with her, but details.. *Shrugs*)

At first I loved how very realist the MC was and still do, but since this is... more>> in line with a romance genre, I was very much looking forward to the development of it. Now, I'm not saying don't read it, but if you aren't a fan of slow, Slow, SLOW, development, I suggest you look elsewhere. I know that this only has two volumes in and not even that long since the start of the second volume, but I am sorry to say that the MC, Kondou Seiichirou, is something akin to a brick wall.

Spoiler

His character is a workaholic to where, even when he's pulled into another world, he asks for a job and goes and does it as if nothing has changed from his previous job. The ML, Aresh, has developed some feelings for him as far as I've read, but it doesn't show just how much other than the rather forceful, (but necessary! There is no r*pe people! Trust me!) touches he gives to the MC. Their interactions are cute but weird (in my opinion) wherein MC treats ML like a pushy, mother-hen type, colleague and ML tries (and fails) to get the MC to acknowledge his feelings for him by baiting him with work and stuff, or at least that's what I'm getting from reading this. They're both first timers with the emotion 'love', 'like' and whatnot (meaning they've never bothered to think about it) and they're both headstrong in their own ways and very stubborn, so while it may be nice to know how they'll end up together (or not), it is honestly frustrating when the MC doesn't acknowledge it, sidesteps it and blatantly ignores it by focusing solely on his work. He has more connection to his Real puppy-like colleague, Norbert than the ML and it's honestly frustrating to read.

My prediction is that it will take the girl, Yua, the saintess from his world, to point out his "love" problem only until after she settles her own "love" problem with the prince crushing on her, which is still a long while yet.

[collapse]

So if you're not a fan of reading about work and no play, I suggest you rethink this one. But if you are willing to read, just remember to give props to both the author and translator for at least sharing this novel with us. <<less

Fell in love with the manga so I had to read the novel! (Especially since the manga updates are veryyyyy slow unfortunately). The story is so cute and funny. I like that the MC isn’t the saint and isn’t coddled and pushed into a Mary sue archetype but rather a relatable OLDER character who can’t shake off the capitalistic conditioning he grew up in, or the bad habits he picked up to survive it. Because same :, (

But my experience with the manga was much more enjoyable than the novel.... more>> Which is usually rare for me because I prefer books over movies and visuals but I just couldn’t get past some of the formatting. I love inner dialogue, but we don’t need that much of it. It often slowed the pace of a conversation and most times didn’t add to the conversation like most inner dialogue should. It would often just go into tangents that don’t really need to be explicitly said because the reader is already clued in. For example (verrrrryyy MINOR spoiler ahead) when one of Yua’s guards accused the MC of having perverse thoughts towards Yua, the MC went on a 8!!!!!!! Paragraph tangent about how he isn’t interested in younger girls. Which like, DUH! I, the reader, can tell he isn’t really interested in anything but his work, let alone romance. It doesn’t need to be said 50 different ways. What happened to show, don’t tell??? Things would have flowed better if the characters could just TALK to each other instead of it being all in their heads. Anyways, this is just one example of many like it that I overlooked in an attempt to enjoy the story but I just cant anymore :\ think I’ll stick to the manga.

BUT pls don’t get it twisted. I really like the concept, plot, and romance. It’s all very cute and enjoyable, when it was in manga form. I’m just a picky novel reader and if you aren’t I think you’ll still like this!! <<less

One of my favorite BL novels to date. MC is an actual functioning (when he isn't too overworked) adult and it shows in his decisions and how he handles the ML. The romance is so good and the world building was just as great. Though it is short (only 3 volumes), there was plenty of character growth for the main characters and even the people among them. I just love to see how MC influenced the world with how hardworking he is.

The comic books are also available in English so... more>> I highly recommend them. <<less

Taking isekai and BL in one not comedic story is quite the challenge. I say it's not that heavy of a story but it's not the ridiculous one I cringe to read.

The dynamic of relationship is a bit 'not enough brain plot' but the whole isekai-ed and saint situation are pretty promising.

Let'sjust say, I got hooked by its nice manga style.

Too bad the fan translation stops at vol 2, and it's pretty useless to go to their discord. For new reader just find it in some other place.

It's short and enjoyable! I came from its manga (there's only 6 chapters out) because I couldn't wait for new chapters. MC is a refreshing take on isekai mcs. It's really nice to see an older MC ahhh!!

It feels like it has been a while since I have read a Japanese isekai bl novel. Hm... It was short and sweet. As usual for Japanese light novels, the chapters were short and didn't go into details much. There was no emotional drama as the MC seems to be someone who goes with the flow and adapts easily. The eight years younger ML is pretty headstrong and a my way or no way kinda person which is needed with such a workaholic, passive love interest like MC. In fact,... more>> we don't know whether the MC even really likes the ML up til the very end or whether he is just going with the flow. It's not the first time I have seen this happen in a Japanese novel. It's like the author forgot to write about the MC's emotional development because "actions speak more than words, right?". But with such a passive MC, the relationship feels a little one-sided. Well, at least the ML seems earnest and actively changes himself for the MC.

People who are in search of a quick and easy read for in between might want to check this novel out. <<less

I like the world settings but im frustrated by MC’s actions and decisions. I guess im not mature enough to appreciate them, so I wont rate this, but this comment is a warning to younger readers.

i am actually really looking forward to this novel. The main character seems really down to earth but a little unaware of himself. he is empathetic and hard working... I like him already. can't wait to see where this goes. so for now I will give it a cautious 4 stars and will change it as I read.
