Dropped because the misunderstandings got way, way too annoying.

There's a lot of things about this story I really like! I like the premise. I like the MC. I like the angst from his struggles and worries. I like his rocky relationship with the ML that leads to them actually getting to know each other instead of being blindly in love like they were when they first met. I like his friends, and I appreciate how every other omega doesn't automatically become a love rival. I like how the ML's trauma... more>> isn't just magically disappeared through the power of love and how he can't control his reactions on the outside (throwing up) despite what he wants on the inside. There are so many elements I like... which is why the contrived misunderstandings, which aren't funny and are super cringe, are so disappointing.

The misunderstandings about whether or not MC is an omega are understandable - the characters' blatant refusal to believe the words of the MC in order to keep up a s*upid misunderstanding are not. The MC not refuting or clearing up misunderstandings when a person otherwise would, the reasons he gets dragged into misunderstandings... everything is super frustrating and distracting. The author wants a misunderstanding there and forces it in, despite it not fitting and even detracting from the story. s*upid subplot about ML's mom thinking that they are a couple and no one clearing it up started to take over the story. Solid D-. Gave it a 3/5 out of generosity, because there were some things I liked and it's not completely terrible. <<less

I didn't read the extra end chapters since I wasn't too invested in the whole novel + 2nd pair, BUT

This is novel is pretty cute. We've got an Omega MC with his dreams of a white picket fence home, a loving Alpha husband and maybe 2 and half kids. Adorable! Normal! Spoiler alert: MC looks like an Alpha. Very sad for MC. He's a very amusing guy; often daydreaming of marrying the newest Alpha he's pursuing one-sidedly, writing up dogblood drama scripts in his head, etc.

ML initially came off... more>> as a s*umbag but later redeems himself... you might be left wondering who is ML??? because literally almost every Alpha MC chases after reacts similarly when they discover his real gender lol

ML is our boy Chen Something Yao (you can tell how much investment I put into this novel with how I can't remember his name) the sweet Alpha for like a month then later got his car door kicked in by MC. ML's got a terrible physical aversion to everything Omega (retching, vomiting) due to childhood trauma and psychological factors. While I'm glad he finally got over it completely in the last/second last chapter of the main text, I was itching to join MC in kicking his ass even though the man can't help his reactions.

Honestly, these two were just sick. Mo Something purposefully spread his Alpha pheromones to induce MC's heat. I can't. This made me want to drop the novel. It's briefly mentioned in the novel through MC's thoughts that they're most likely habitual offenders since they're proficient and smooth when dealing with MC. Yall if anyone were to pull a Mo Something out of this novel... wham bam slam jail time!

also, MC is a dumb dumb for cluelessly following Mo and his manager, 2 total strangers, hand in his phone to have it shutdown with no protest at all!!!!, have a meal in some unknown private restaurant and forced walk into Mo's hotel room?????

I really wanted to drop the novel.

Anyway, it's a HE so that's great! This novel is not as fluffy as I was expecting it to be, given that most of it revolves around MC and ML understanding feelings and working on ML's

Not much detail goes into the whole process of things, just lightly brushing a bit of everything so if you're into a light read, this is still alright. I feel like I missed a lot of things but it might just be the MTL.

The story is very nice, one of my unique reads.

It's very funny and I may say you won't regret reading it 😁 though I was slightly disappointed about the ending.

There was no follow up about MC and ml's marriage or even the child birth etc.

Side couples story is also quite incomplete.

It was somewhat rush or maybe there's still follow up. Hmmm.

A great read! Loved the gradual development between the pair after their first breakup and how they supported each other to cure the ML’s illness, MC may seem like a character that loves to day dream and fantasize but he quite level headed and dependable in later chapters

Loved this story. It’s different from the typical omega MC and alpha ML pairing.

The characters of MC and ML are well fleshed out. ML’s illness is relatable due to his parents. MC and his fantasizing is hilarious. The side characters are decent. MC and ML are so silly at times but they are committed to each other. The fact that they have so many failed relationships is a plus since it makes their story that much sweeter. The extra about ML’s dad was a total surprise. Not sure I like... more>> it though. The ending was a bit rushed. I would have preferred if time and not alcohol got the couple together.

Overall, it’s a sweet story. The translator has done a great job. <<less

Update: read it again- don't know if another novel has delighted me like this one has. Love it so much!

I love this story! MC is full of personality; one of my favorites. While the main issue of the story was a bit of a stretch, this rom-com was entertaining and I really liked MC+ML's story. For a light-hearted comedy, this is great!

I read the novel in mtl many years ago, I remembered this title only because of the adaptation so I decided to give my opinion of what I remember most. First of all there is anguish, the theme of s*xual orientation and its acceptance is quite notable in both MC and ML, in ML it is an important trait that builds him as a character. This trait is interesting (it was for me at the time) as it leads to awkward, sad and self-reflective situations. Of course ML is able... more>> to grow through this, that makes him a good character. The impression that the novel left me with over time is one of conflicts that can be resolved with a slice of everyday life. When I read the comments I thought it was a dramatic novel, but it has more comedy than drama, I also don't understand why they despise the alpha so much, he didn't react that badly, he had a normal reaction when he found out Rong Yi's gender, the alpha is a pretty character kind who falls very much in love with the omega, and by being with him he deals with his problem, but I would have liked more drama with the alpha's parents, who are the real culprits of... more>> the problem that the latter has, and then they are as if nothing had happened, continuing with Their lives, although I liked them, I would have liked to see development of the parents. Then there is the secondary couple, personally there are novels in which the secondary characters attract me more than the main ones, in this case it was different, I liked the main characters more than the secondary ones, and I am not saying that the story of the secondary ones is ugly On the contrary, it is very warm and pretty.   • I really tried to finish this novel but I just COULD NOT continue anymore it was too annoying
  • first of all the MC why is he so narrow minded and second of all the ML?? How come he said he like the MC when he assumed he was an alpha but finding out he be omega suddenly your love all be gone in one second don't even make sense and after that you still blame the MC?? OH HELL NAH.
  • anyways the story is very draggy and its just same concept over and over again smhh I was looking for more but oh well

When I first read this, I felt bored and thought that it was an another cliche story. So after months, it was still stock on my reading list. But yesterday, I tried to read this even though I think it was cliche.

and then the MC encountered things that made him to communicate more with the MC and fight with each other (in a funny way 🤣) then later on I was frustrated and got a little angry with the ml. But then, knowing what happened to him and the reason why he felt sick about omegas kind of make me sympathize with him because he can't do anything for his omega.

Anyway, after twist and turns they finally got together and love their interactios with each other. The only thing that frustrates me is

This is the first danmei I've read and I must say that this is SO GOOD. It has a fresh take on the ABO genre and the twists and turns really takes you for a ride. The gong and shou's relationship developed at a REALLY NICE pace and the premise was... interesting. Give it a try if you want something refreshing!

Definitely worth reading. There are more chapters translated that I would love to binge read but I gotta get more SP first.

As for the novel, I am surprised how well is taken the ABO world. Like it's not cringy like in fanfictions. There is comedy and well, it's addicting.

The ML is quite silly though ?

But I can't help but pity our MC, he can be quite unfortunate lol

Recommended to read!!!

First of all, the writing style was good and had good humor. The plot was also fine although it had a kind of rush, abrupt ending. It did not matter much because there were enough extras to make up for that; but still, cannot help but complain.

The MC is very fickle. He falls for alphas as long as they are handsome. It was the same for the ML at first, because the ML was a very handsome alpha. The MC's inner thought process, where he imagines fake scenarios... more>> whenever he sees a guy can be a bit turn off, because in novels you rarely get characters like that as male leads. It also makes people doubt whether he can be a faithful partner. But here we have just that kind of MC. MC has many shortcomings. Like the one mentioned before and his bad temper, but he is not an unreasonable person. He was just a guy who was craving for love. When he found his Mr. Right his flowery heart was finally settled. The doubts disappeared.

As for the ML, he was a very sweet alpha, no one can argue with that. He came to the MC when he needed help even though they had some bad blood between them. No matter how much the MC scolded him, he was very patient with him, doting him. He overcame his psychological reactions and tried his best to get together with MC. It was not an easy feat for him. He did not know that the MC liked him and instead he thought the MC hated him. So he took his time to confess as he did not want to harm or bother the MC.

Finally they both confess and they became a sweet couple.

The novel was quite interesting. Some reviews made me hesitate whether to read or not. After reading, I do not regret it. I think this is an okay omegaverse to try. <<less

this was a long one. took me about a whole day to finish it. at first I just clicked because the title got me curious and later it turned out to be worth every second. at first I wasn't that much optimistic about the main protagonists love but later on they proved to be made for each other. so if there's anyone who is stuck on the first few chapters, push it through! u won't regret it! at the beginning rong yis thought process really was alike me, that was... more>> one thing I liked cus it was so relatable. just like I have imagined my perfect life with strangers even, it made me feel quite happy to see another delulu just like me.

after they broke up once I considered giving up on the novel but glad I put up with it. there were so many scenes that made clutch my stomach and laugh out loud s*upidly. the strawberry incident really made me get into this novel! during the beginning there was some comments abt chen keyao being mental and all because of his sexuality. those comments disturbed me quite alot and made want quite it but it got quite nice after. they even showed the struggle of AA relationship but I do think it would have been more wholesome if the author decided to add a AA couple. maybe chen keyaos father and mo yufei can represent it? haha.. but actually their relationship was quite weird coming from someone who reads weird things. thankfully they didn't get together actually but it felt like the author implied they will be together? kinda weird like how do u get feels for ur bf/crush father/son...

i quite understand chen keyao myself. after his parents disastrous relationship I get how he turned out to be like this. sometimes I also feel flustered because of this, even though this world is devoid of pheromones there is still a division between two genders which I have come to hate. I hate being a female myself, bleeding as I write this. I don't know if any other will ever get me but I really want a world where there is no different genders but everyone is kinda like hermaphrodite? two fused into one. I think it will make life a lot more easier no sexs where one is vulnerable and fragile and another is strong. I know it's getting better these days with feminism and everything but still physically nothing has changed and still women are not exactly on par with men yet. if only such world existed quite a handful of problems would have been solved. anyway even of my rant back to the story.

the moment I gave my heart and started adoring them to the fullest we have already arrived at the end which kinda s**ked. tbh I didn't even care a bit about side characters anyway. f*ck mimi! justice for lighting! the Lil cutie went into the big ole snakes stomach but still got disrespected after death..

my only complaint would be we didn't see much of this couple after they finally got back togather and their baby! author too stingy didn't even give it a name or its birth. I would have LOVED a time skip to when their childrens grow up.. too bad it's so short! I would have loved to see them together till they are 80 and all their home fluffy. all together this was a really good novel. 8/10 definitely recommend!! <<less

I love the concept, but the MC really bothers me. I honestly feel bad for the ML over him, after he has made so many comments about him being mental when he genuinely has troubles. And his stalking online and making rude comments just because the situation is similar... I don’t know, it really bothers me.

So I’m dropping this here. Wasn’t for me, but the concept IS solid. I wished I could have loved it

MC is a alpha-looking omega and has trouble landing a date with other alphas. he meets ML and they hit it off... only because ML is into AA relationships and thought MC to be an alpha as well. when the truth came out, they broke up. but as fate would have it, MC becomes mls tenant and they start living together. MC, although pissed, still has feelings for ML and these feelings only grew stronger the more time he spends with him. ML turns out to be physically repulsed by omegas, which makes the two incompatible. but ML is also fond of MC, and genuinely tries his best to get over his so-called 'stress response' with counselling. in the end they made up, and through trial and error, successfully became intimate.

ok I dropped this novel at first but im very glad I gave it another shot. the premise is kinda crack-y and rong yi sounds like a loose cannon and a total face-con with how his imagination runs wild everytime he sees a handsome guy on the street, but can you blame him?? hes a healthy young guy who hasnt had any action a successful relationship yet, anyone would be desperate. later on he drops the habit, and hes actually a very faithful partner once in a relationship :)

as for chen keyao, I just gotta say I love love love him SO MUCH. hes mr perfect at first glance but really hes just a big dumb puppy that needs hand holding and head pats uwu. at first his stress response condition had me ????? but the explanation made a little bit of sense (with enough suspension of disbelief lol). you can see that he was trying really hard to around rong yi, trying to not offend him with a physiological response he cant control. it was probably hard on him because he doesnt want rong yi to feel offended nor discouraged around him, but also doesnt have the confidence to express his love knowing that his condition will hold both of them back : (you can tell how distressed he gets at times and I just wanna give him a big hug...

but love conquers all and im glad rong yi was understanding and willing to sacrifice his s*x life to help chen keyao get better, thats true love <3 <<less
