After years of chasing legends and battling the tides, Captain Roy, the terror of the Eastern Seas, finally laid eyes on the fabled Devil’s Island. But the island’s reward was no treasure—it was a curse. Stripped of his former self, Roy emerged as a woman, bound by a devil’s bargain. Now, with the weight of the curse upon her, she sets sail for the treacherous waters of the Cursed Sea, determined to settle the score with the devil who stole her fate.

Her ship, once a symbol of fear, has become something stranger. A mute Siren hums mournful tunes, ghostly apparitions drift through the hold, and the last dragon hatchling in existence perches on the bow. Roy, her voice sharp with frustration, growls, “What in the seven seas is this? A pirate ship or a floating menagerie of myths?”

The young navy man, his tone steady and earnest, meets her gaze. “Neither, Captain. This is our home.”

One of if not, my best finds in novelupdates.

The main strength of this novel lies with its immense plot building and characterization. The main character himself, or now herself Captain Elizabeth Roy has such a charming and captivating personality as she draws me, the reader in with her humorous and playful interactions. Yet this fun loving and seemingly carefree pirate captain is one of the most feared pirate legends in the seas exactly because of these traits of his. More than his unmatched close combat ability he was feared for... more>> his outstanding ability to seduce the heart of many, commanding absolute loyalty from his followers into doing his biddings. And it was exactly of because this that he got betrayed, stranded up on the island cursed into a woman by the great pirate king with another unlucky soul.

Not just the main character but even the side characters feels fleshed out and life like. Every interaction and conversation between the characters are filled with rich history and personality. With each scenes my curiosity to the past between those characters increases, wishing to know and learn those incredible moments and memories that formed these bonds.

The plot is slow paced with a bit of dragging but it is okay as the rich plot building makes it up for it. As it seems the author has put their heart into crafting this immense world, filled with ancient mysteries, conflicts and tragedies that has shaped onto the present world. With Roy uncovering the veils of the past with his adventure to break the curse inflicted upon by the Pirate King.

It is a classic Pirate theme world with elements similar to the movie trilogy "Pirate of the Caribbean". The nostalgia of watching those movies as a child has never been more present than when reading this novel. <<less

It's a nice read. The author really knows how to convey the emotions of the MC and the ML. I cried many times reading this.

The plot and storyline are also good and fun to read! Even though it might seems a bit dragged, binge reading it is very fun
