A truly great story! Well written, with a plot that is clearly laid out, no useless characters and an MC who is actually smart and reasonable. Despite having xenophobia literally encoded in his species genes, despite being a weapon of war, the MC didnt become a cookie cutter monstrosity. Instead he makes plans, forges alliances, and even is willing to make a truce.

It is a truly bingeworthy space age epic. I call it an epic not because it could classify as that genre (it might I dont really know) but... more>> because it is epic.

I honestly couldn't put it down.

There are a few chapters where the translation doesnt quite make sense, and the fact cell phones, cars (it specifically mentions a limosine at one point), and helicopters are still a thing despite being so far into the space age that they have intergalactic travel bothers me it is truly a great story.

I will not spoil it for you, you if you like antihero protagonists who are not psychopaths, clever protagonists who actually are clever and make genius strategies, competent enemies who know what they are doing, and love cosmic horror than this is for you. Everything in the story happens for a reason, there is no plot armor.

The story comes full circle and even ends with the MC breaking the 4th wall in a spine chilling, unexpected way! Truly the best story I read since Tensei Slime Shitara Datte Ken!
