‘Lou Mu Yan’, the daughter of Tian’ling Continent, Yan’zhou Kingdom’s God of War, has a prominent family background. But she was known throughout the Empire for being a tr*sh with blocked meridians. After the concubine, arranged by her most beloved’s Clan to marry him, severely injured her, she perished.

‘Lou Mu Yan’ was the finest, most talented Female Immortal from the Immortal Cultivation World who was at the Body Fusion Stage and bore the Heavenly Spiritual Root. But because of a spatial storm, her Soul transmigrated to a completely foreign world and continent.

Perhaps destined, ‘she’ became ‘her’, and hence forth, she improved her constitution, tossed away the s*umbag man, disabled the fake white lotus, and ‘abducted’ a powerful, devilishly handsome, and beautiful man as her husband.

The queen had returned. Just watch how she, the almighty, brewed a gentle breeze that roused the waters, flourishing in this foreign world, stirring up layers upon layers of storms and waves.

Finally finished this!

Overall a good read. Although the plot has been used so many times already and albeit cliche, there are still some novels which are worth the read. This is one of them.

Strong FL and Strong ML will always be a nice combination.

... more>> Lou Mu Yan is your typical strong FL who was reincarnated to the weakest body in the weakest kingdom of the lowest realm. She’s pretty Mary Sue. I don’t mind that much but it’s honestly tiring to have all the guys fall in all love with her.

Honestly that’s the only thing I find so critical. And also the lack of a villain from the start.

Spoiler

Just felt that although there were indeed villains, but the true villain in my opinion (the Eldest Prince of that Void real) was not even mentioned or properly given an arc. He wasn’t even retaliated albeit a short mention of plunder in their realm.

[collapse]

Also felt things were quite written briefly, or things went so smoothly and fast paced in the last chapters.

Kinda disappointed the author did not maintain the their pacing. The story would have felt more complete if some arcs were lengthened a bit more. I don’t mind longer/more chapters if it could fully give the plot justice.

But yeah, it is still a nice read. Average length with nice plot and schemes. It’s a good read for anyone who wants to take a break from reality ehe~ <<less

I enjoyed it! The MC was 100% a Mary Sue, and the ML was absolutely her Gary Stu. Regardless, it was nice to see a happy family in a CN for once. The MC and ML were consistent the whole way through, and it was really nice not having a main character who would randomly grow a pit in their brain.

This peice is not going to be considered a great literary classic anytime soon, but it was still an enjoyable read. The translation was also spot on!

Big kudos to the translator for working on this novel as first try, apparently. 5 stars for translation itself. Story is a 4/5 - enjoyable and interesting, nice read, but nothing that really got my heart pumping like crazy.

In terms of romance it's one of the better ones for cultivation stories (seal of approval for this ML) and they are partners and equals in every aspect.

Some things were confusing - I think the author kinda changed some info as they went along - but nothing too big or serious to... more>> be a plot hole that will annoy you.

All in all can give it a shot <<less

Mid at best, imo. Generic. The cultivation system is needlessly verbose as it's often comparing the MC's 'old' system. Basically the author tried to come up with new names for everything but not much is really different. Well other than this new world being less developed. How else can the MC shine as a genius?

Spoiler

Quite a few plotholes, rettcons, and forgotten plot threads. 90% of the female characters are the typical *really* annoying cultivation tropes. Mostly they all want to kill the MC over one type of jealousy or another.

Author can't seem to keep the MC's cultivation level straight at times.

Antagonists are seemingly forgotten despite the emphasis on pulling out the roots.

What happened to her grandaunt? Maybe they remember that later?

How she takes care of things at home before joining her Sect is really underwhelming. The Gu family is only mentioned and we don't see them get punished. Her smith apprentice is forgotten. She never hands over the flying magic tool to her family (nor mentions upgrading it like she originally planned to). The 'army' of 100 they were building? Not mentioned even during the short war. Empress gets no screen time. The two clans that were enemies of her family are ignored for the most part. Oh, there is one cousin that spreads bad rumors about the MC in the sect but nothing much happens there. She hands nearly all her money over to her brother that wants to start a mercenary guild for reasons. As in the author suddenly wants her to be poor? She goes from being able to get money or resources freely to having practically nothing. How is being in a sect a good thing?

Among the bandwagon of this troupe, I can say that this novel is one of the very few that had a reasonable MC. Her temperament is to my liking and I enjoyed reading about her adventures.

It was quite enjoyable story. There were all cliches and basics of any cultivation novels but done alright. I quite enjoyed reading a female MC based cultivation novel. I was quite tired of reading ones with good plot but messed up by harem or if there was romance but quite bland. Although the world building and abilities weren't so extensive, there were still many exciting things to explore. The relationship between spirit pets and Mu Yan was very enjoyable. But the ending was a bit rushed. I had hoped to... more>> see more of Immortal World.

Beside that our dear translator really did a beautiful translation so thank you a lot for bringing this to us readers. <<less

Pretty good novel however the ending is rushed, the first half of the story is more cultivation/getting stronger focused, middle half is some conspiracies and fighting still but mixed with lovey dovey scenes with ML. Final part is just a rushed end on living happily ever after. Wouldn't say it's a terrible novel but there isn't much depth to the ML compared to MC, MC herself is quite likeable and her pets are cute.

Another fake op MC, fun. Its no wonder I now despise authors that don't tag things correctly, webnovel is horrible for it. So many fake op mcs. Well this is alright but im dropping because she struggles too much and I'm here for an overpowered mc

This is a fun cultivation story with fast updates and a female MC. It is the standard "waste MC becomes OP and starts slapping faces" and it is done well. The MC suddenly becomes talented and gains a bunch of knowledge. This makes her cultivation journey smooth sailing and gives her a leg up over the competition.

What makes this above average is the way that the power level is handled. The MC can obviously defeat her peers but can't defeat adults or organizations. So the MC is careful not to... more>> provoke enemies that she can't beat. A lot of other stories in this genre proceed to then have various powerful enemies appear to force the MC into dangerous situations over and over again. This story does have dangerous enemies that legitimately threaten the MC but rather than bounce from emergency to emergency, the MC goes on adventures and meets people. There are some serious perils but they aren't overdone and the MC is able to strengthen herself without constantly finding ancient treasures and whatever else.

So if you like the genre give this a shot. Especially if you are looking for a female MC. Just a heads up though, it takes a very long time for her to join a school, so if that particular aspect of the genre is important to you, be advised. <<less

i like how MC’s family really loves her— no family drama here. MC & ML’s relationship is really cute too, they clearly respect each other a lot!!
Spoiler

it’s especially cute because they already acknowledge their feelings early on but just don’t do much about it yet.

[collapse]

there’s no complex scheming or anything groundbreaking (so far?) but I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for a light and simple story that’s fun to read.

It is... bad and boring. The main reasons :

  • Almost every descriptions are strangely writen like "devilish young man", "doe-eyed woman", "cold and indifferent, but he was exceptionally protective", "like a fallen immortal", "extremely handsome, with a gentle temperament that carried a sense of otherworldliness", etc.
It is as if it was an extremly old romantic story or something that was not edited. We get it everyone look like a phoenix or whatever... They are millions of way to describe someone's body/aura/etc. The more grandiose the word the less meaning it actually... more>> carries.

  • The sentences are written as if the readers are young children. Every actions need an explanation about the "amazing" machination behind it.
By exemple : the heroine say one sentence to force the baddie to agree to a fight then the next sentence will be [A trace of cunning flashed in Lou Mu Yan’s eyes. She deliberately let Gu Yan Ran injure her, then took the opportunity to allow others to think she declared this challenge while emotional.]

A story which need to overly explain itself lack logic, context or is badly done.

  • The story itself is a bunch of stereotypes put together without much toughts. In just 3 chapters we :
    • Met the heroine (without backstory, no awakening, moving or anything, she was just... going to the library. We didn't meet the previous owner or even the new owner before that,
    • met the old love interest who doesn't love her but still want her to pursue her,
    • met the old love interest "friend" who did watch all the fighting previoulsy but who is smarter than the old love interest and who will fall in love with the heroine but only become a friend,
    • met the main (the first main) opposant (a young girl who got into the academy even tough her statut should not allow her there),
    • met the main opposant friend, who of course also bullied the heroine before,
    • met the heroine brother (who of course is also a fallen immortal with a skin of blablabla,
    • met the heroine new love interest (a shadowy but handsome figure in the dark who can see trough the heroine "great" machinations and get interested in her.
I mean, come on, if you met so many mains characters in just 3 chapters, you already guess/know their past and futur, either the chapters are freiking long (not bad but not int this case) or the story is a mich-mach of stereotypes that everyone who read novels knows about.

  • The author isn't even clear on his own writing. Take the heroine as an exemple, she's cruel and merciless but she also is extremly gentle and adorable. She is a genius and can do anything but she also face many difficulties and hardships.
  • As for the so called face-slapping... what I and other people (I think) find satisfying in face-slapping is the fact that someone who was humiliated/used when they where at their low point would raise up and show other that they can be badass. Not that they can use they OPness to diss on other like the starting villain on the other side.

A fantastic, not super slow but also really nice romance filled story of slander, family love, and many beast pets. The main is ruthless but good to her own, the husband mentioned in the title is more cold towards most, but hilarious and very fun to read with the main.

10/10 recommended from me!

This story is the reading equivalent of junk food. It's not complex, crafted with care, or logical for the most part. It holds itself together just enough to be entertaining- assuming you can ignore all the inconsistencies. But it feels good to read the power moments and I honestly like the relationship between FL and ML, even though it's basic and unimaginative. I wanted something familiar, and this is just a collection of tropes.

I have yet to finish this but in general, I like it. The FL is strong... more>> and domineering, the ML lets her do her own thing. It's very Mary Sue, but honestly the description doesn't hide that. It's much like most black belly cultivation novels. My biggest complaint is that literally every single woman other than one young girl is jealous of FL because she's more beautiful, stronger, or gets more male attention.

Spoiler

It's shallow and repetitive, as soon as you see a woman appear you can just save yourself the trouble and assume she's going to be an easily beaten and one-dimensional character. I don't even know why the author bothered to give them names in the first place.

Every guy of any kind of status or power is literally in love with this chick, she has a massive 'friend group' that are all just guys who have crushes on her- or he's her brother. It's ridiculous.

The cultivation aspect is generic and easy to follow, but the author seems to lose track of it anyways. FL is always going on about how she could do this or that easily because her old world was much more advanced while forgetting she's not that strong anymore- but no worries she never loses anyways.

Plot lines are just completely dropped and never mentioned again... I assume the author just forgot even though the story is pretty straightforward.

[collapse]

Otherwise though, I enjoy this. I try to just ignore the awful writing where women are concerned. I like the face slapping aspects. I really love how ruthless and black belly FL is, she will literally beat someone half to death, cut off all escape routes, and then sell them their freedom for an astronomical price. It's very satisfying, just be prepared for it to be Mary Sue and repetitive. <<less

There's nothing new that this novel offers. Having the same genre shouldn't mean that you'll have to follow the same plot development, come on, use your creativity and have some sense of originality, not just mimic whatever is already out there.

I recognize everything but I didn't have this marked as something I am reading. I honestly hope that's just because I neglected to mark it, not similarly. I'll probably wait a year so that it's even less familiar before trying. A tad bland.
