Xie Yang struggled in the post-apocalyptic world for many years until he was too tired to go on. Then he transmigrated into a young adult entertainment circle novel where the protagonists have easy, sweet, and satisfying lives.

The male protagonist of the novel is not just handsome and smart, he’s also reborn. The female protagonist of the novel is not only beautiful and works hard towards her dreams, she also has a cheat in her hands.

There’s a lot of male and female supporting roles, each having pretty face, nice figures and someone strong behind them. Get into any one of their bodies, and he could close his eyes and just enjoy life. But he didn’t. Instead he transmigrated into a young idol secretly married to the biggest villain of all — the male protagonist’s maternal uncle.

His title is husband but it’s more like a nurse. Because this novel’s biggest villain is a terminally ill patient who is gloomy and sick in the head (actually sick). Their marriage was to counter the bad luck (illness).

I’m so happy I came across this story! I think it deserves the high rating. The plot was great, the Love System wasn’t just a minor plot point, the side characters didn’t just disappear (OGML’s character growth was pretty cute imo and his reaction to MC was hilarious), and the romance really felt like it built up. I love the MC’s character. The villains were sometimes dumb but overall the main villain was quite the antagonist. The only part that didn’t feel fully fleshed out for most of the story... more>> was MC’s background in the apocalypse but it made sense in the end

Highly recommended bl novel.

MC is smart. Have power to stand up for himself. Perfectly contains ability to talk wittily. His character is shaped really nicely as a strong personality, but also kind and compassionate.

ML is such a tsundere, and MC is having the time of his life teasing ML, and coaxing out. ML has personality like a elder but very reserved person in showing his emotions. Could really describe him as hard mouth, soft hearted and shy sugar jar.

Relationship is one of the best. A smart and poison-tongued MC with... more>> a grumpy-terminally ill-tsundere ML make a wonderful combination - their interactions are fun. One of reason I really like this novel.

Plot is also good. MC having musical talents had a little explanation. But there is also good character explanation. Life of a singer, actor and a boss, good and unique romance, struggle with terminal illness, face palming, dark side of entertainment industry, all had in the story.

Also:

There is questioning things as; (for me, mc's music talents after long apocalypse). But can't deny the novel is good.

And for the negative reviews:

1) For MC marrying ml:

The whole situation happened with Qiu Xing's dying mother choosing Xie Yang to be his son's partner.

My explanation is:

*¹ Qiu Xing is terminal ill patient and his mother is also dying. The chance mother dying before Qiu Xing is huge. Therefore she wants someone to be there for Qiu Xing and care for him, so she has to find him a partner. A marriage partner, more specific.

*² Then that person should be trustworthy and not to betray even at Qiu Xing's difficult moments. But there was no such a trusted one and can't be sure the person would never betray him. Thus special need of control. Buying the person with contract and controlling them so never to give space to betray.

*³ Next, there is very much chance Qiu Xing to die and need of not to leave a child behind to be bait/chess piece for their untrustworthy relatives who is waiting for Qiu Xing's fail. Therefore a male partner, so there's no offsprings in any case of Qiu Xing's death.

All qualifications match Xie Yang. He has ignored family, he is easy to buy and easy to control. Therefore mother choose Xie Yang to be his son's partner with the hope him to be his son's lucky star.

Yes, story go along with the forum. It mostly to understand the situation of public thinking, with bit of humour. Maybe it can be too much, but you can simply ignore those parts because the novel is really good to be rejected.

3) MC and ML money basic relationship:

Of course MC and ML start with money basic relationship not romance. ML helps MC with financially and MC support and accompany ML as thier deal. And it also ended with their relationship began.

4) no one finding mc's differents:

Literally who doesn't found out?

ML see it thought the first time with his fight back personality, that's why he became more interested in MC. Ml's people find it, and they named him timid boy to dangerous too. Even the people in school say about it. How he is before an timid, bullied and uncared with no music talents.

But can you think, just because his sudden change they will guess this is not orginal but fake one? The problem is novel prospective is MC and there are not lot of mentionings. Even MC not engaged with people who very well know him at the sametime original doesn't even have friends, cared family or someone too involve with him.

Just because of others negative reviews, don't just ignore this. It's really unique one. <<less

I agree with @HY-D-RA comment above. I’ve read this 3x, and probably would read again. Story speaks of love, dedication and perseverance through adversities. It’s great to have happy ending.

I didn't expect much of this novel at first.

Now I see why everyone rated this five stars.

There were no plot holes that I could see, the characters were fleshed out and the storytelling was emotive and beautiful. I loved the ending. Also, I really love the author for giving us a HE.

The two main characters had a relationship of mutual trust and communication. To be honest, this is one of the best novels I have read in a long time. One of the first times I have ever rated five... more>> stars completely wholeheartedly, not just to boost the rating.

I've read lots of online novels. Even though many of them had a greater plot than this one, and were fairly memorable, but this one really made me feel happy and content. I have no idea how to evaluate a story's artwork or writing flow. Although it may not be perfect for everyone, I found it to be quite satisfying. In terms of plot, I'm not particularly interested in systems, but... yup... for me, even the parts I didn't particularly like were endearing enough. My most favourite part of this... more>> story that made me desperatly hang on it was our awkward but at the same time.. Lovable ML.. and clever, smart, mature but also softie... MC.....I just so Deep fall in love with their character development... IDK...I find their personality.. perfectly harmonious to each other... no harem...a serious.. character love development.. our MC is supported by ML but also not supported..... he self dependent.. hard on haters.. soft on his people... and extremely... cunnily soft tofu to our ML. I'm not posting this to give any spoilers, but you guys are going to love the ML and MC, for sure. Oh my, I have so much to say. lol...I don't know about the others, but I adore the story—especially our ML and MC. <<less

Really liked this novel. This is actually my first time reading a book where the ML is a tsundere and then actually enjoying it. Moreover the plotline was also really good.

All in all a good read.

You know what 5 Stars is worth it just for the character Xie Yang alone.

Xie Yang is really smart. And his has a mouth where you can't win against. He used this very well through out the novel. You can't even argue back because everything he says is so reasonable and put you out of breathe if you try to argue back. I enjoy the most when faceslapping those haughty big wealthy family who try to look down on him. I do wish we know more about his first world... more>> history. I know Xie Yang seems OP but how can he not when he's facing someone who has a system, he generally doesn't use any power to get things done but very resourceful with his methods. He relies on himself most of the time and ML would help out sometimes because he knows about the troubles.

I do wish that we know more about the first book, some dialogues of what really happen with ML when he was brainwashed by the FL the first time. I actually never worried about the illness of the ML because it never got the point where he was dying. Although I was stress sometimes with the weibo things saying crap about Xie Yang, they would get face slap pretty soon. The love between them was a bridge that need to build step by step. It wasn't easy opening the heart of ML when you read you know how rough his personality is at the start. But once you get in he's very interesting in all sort of ways.

All in all the couple didn't struggle as much as I thought, I didn't think it was going to be a music industry, so there was surprises here and there. ML of the book isn't bad as I thought, So people can look forward to him. Mother Qiu also I love her so much, she's just a wonderful person..

The author could've done more with planting some love rivals, I didn't eat enough vinegar, haha. ML reactions is very funny so I wanted more of those scenes where he is jealous.

People would like this novel if they enjoy sweet caring love and want some faceslapping and fluff along the way. <<less

OOOF this is another winner in the slice-of-life/drama department. The setting is pretty vanilla (with just a few out-there elements), but there's a lot of excitement! More importantly, the characters are really lovable T.T OML, I seriously love the dynamics between the MC and ML, it's a very rare power!shou and tsundere!gong relationship and I---AHHHHHHH T.T I'll talk about it more later, but this is definitely highly recommended for those looking for something sweet and simple to read.

CHARACTERS:

The characters were the best part of the story! It had... more>> its share of pointless cannon fodder enemies and villains to act as a foil to the MC and ML, but they don't detract from the loveliness of the main characters and the more important side-characters~

Xie Yang (MC) : Xie Yang was from an apocalyptic universe (i.e., the usual type, with power ability users to counteract similarly powerful zombies). He ends up transmigrating into a novel that he had just finished reading as a cannon fodder character. This character had the same name as him and was pretty ruthlessly killed after he lost his usefulness in the original story.

The most important thing that you need to know about the OG!XieYang is that he was sold off by his family to the rich 'villain' boss, Qiu Xing (the ML). As for our actual MC, he's very musically talented and his goal is to live well in this new world -- which he does by depending on his talent and leaning on the powerful golden thighs of the world's 'villain' boss~

Qiu Xing (ML) : The ML in the original novel acted as the springboard for the protagonists of said novel. He looks very cold outwardly, but it's clear pretty early on that he's a tsundere~ His insides are extra soft! He slowly becomes more and more interested in the highly dependable MC, though he won't admit it~

ROMANCE:

As mentioned, the character settings for the main pair are a bit unique! Outwardly, the MC is definitely the one who is most proactive about the two's relationship (in every sense of the word!). The ML is also shockingly cute! He might be possessive and overbearing at times, but for the most part, he's really fricken adorable T.T As a result, the romance is very subtle at first! But it becomes ultra sweet by the end.

SETTING:

This is a Modern Setting, and there's a lot of focus on the entertainment circles. There are also some overbearing president themes because the ML runs a company LOLOL! As for the aforementioned surprises, that's thanks to the MC's previous world (wherein he was an ability user) and the golden finger of the female protagonist in the original novel!

The female protagonist of the novel had a SYSTEM! One that allowed her to swiftly move up in the ranks of the entertainment circles. Though the means are 100000000% dubious.

PLOT:

There's a lot of face slapping and drama in the entertainment circles. This explores that in full -- especially in the beginning stages! For example, the first arc focused on the boy idol group the OG!MC had been a member of. Said idol group was a veteran group close to collapse, and the MC deals with things accordingly! In the latter arcs, the focus will change to focus on the original female protagonist's side of things and the ML's terminal illness! Altogether, it's a completely packed plot, with the main character's developing relationship at the core~

RATING:

This gets full marks from me! Straight up! The characters are charming, and I'll definitely come back for them again in the future. Furthermore, while I can't tell how realistic the depiction of the entertainment world is, I can tell that the author really went through a lot of effort! The first arc, especially, is shockingly familiar jfslkajf T.T All in all, there are lots of feels to be had from this story and I can't recommend it highly enough! <<less

ML is your typical too powerful CEO. But he is never overbearing when it comes to his beloved. ML respect MC's decisions. ML sometimes get jealous because of MC's job, you know being an idol means MC has lots of fans who always post on Weibo that they want to kiss MC or do "cough.. Cough" hehe BUT our ML never get in the way of MC's job. ML let him do whatever makes him happy.

ML showes MC his scared n weak side. Sometimes ML acts like a spoiled child with MC. Yup they are sooooooooooo sweet!!!!!

This was too cute. I honestly loved it. Like, wow. Sigh, so cool, so cute, so awesome. The translation did this story justice, like, thank you so much! I read it on an EPUB I got from Z-Library, so it was so easy to read too. Thanks to whoever uploaded it there too lol. Like, I just have no words. One of my favs for sure.

The story revolves around our MC who transmigrated when he died during the apocalypse, as a cannon fodder married to a dying CEO, who's supposed to be the villain of the novel he had read.

I love the relationship 0f the ML and MC so much. There's a lot of fluff and sweet moments together, they are a very loving couple and protective of their relationship and very much respectful of each other's feelings.

The ML is sweet, shy and a very doting partner, but tsundere "little mouse". The MC is black... more>> bellied, he's smart, calculative and actually an OP character if I must say.

I only have some questions because he's too OP, I mean he's a total package kind of guy. He can sing well, play piano, violin and can act really well, aside from being too smart to crush all his opponents. I wonder about his previous life. But oh well it was explained a little. So, if you don't like this kind of character you may wanna skip this one. But who knows? Maybe try a few chapters?

Also, I cried about the story of the bird and the rabbit. That said, 4.5/5 for me. <<less

I love this so much. ML finally accepting treatment after countless pursuasions was such a good scene for me. Literally every step during treatment almost made me cry. Although I feel like ML is more three-dimensional than MC despite being the tsundere he is, I still love MC and his sassiness. He never backs down at all lol.

Read this months ago, and just wanted to leave a review.

Its a pretty fun novel, I feel like I remember a lot of face slapping happens and sometimes thats what you want in a novel. Though the last time I've read this novel... no offense to the translator, but there was a lot of small mispells and pronouns that were switched so it did threw me off but its not that bad. There were some plotholes as well, I think if the novel could make me suspend my disbelief even... more>> with a lot of plotholes, it would have a better rating in my opinion.

Random thoughts while reading : "ML is really funny as a hard headed tsundere, but in real life he is exhausting, cute moments with MC though, perfect match they match together" "XIE YANG IS SO COOL YES HIT THAT MALE LEAD WITH THE COLD HARSH TRUTH."

I've written in my notes that I liked ML getting slapped by the MC... so I guess something mentally ? and he deserves it? And that the couple are well matched? so this might be all of it.

Good couple ship + face slapping + HE = okay novel to spend few hours on <<less

This is a personal favorite that I am willing to reread countless of times. I've read this book twice prior to posting this review and it just never lost its beauty to me. The characters, their development, the plot, and the translation are all 5/5. I have laughed, cried, and smiled throughout this journey. I love how the highly competent MC and the cold-outside-but-very-caring-inside ML greatly complement each other. surely one of the best bl chinese novels that ive ever read. The plot, character are all very well written and this actually give me rollercoaster emotions! Im so sad about mother qiu T.T will miss our sugar jar and xie yang sm T.T

I really loved reading this novel. This is my first showbiz novel I've read (or at least the first one that focused on the entertainment industry), and I'm super satisfied by the amount of face-slapping in this novel. I felt that the beginning of the novel was a bit slow, but overall the pacing was pretty good.

Xie Yang (MC) is cool and clever, and I like that he's ruthless. Qiu Xing (ML) is a tsundere, but it's not annoying at all, and actually rather cute because he's really fun... more>> to tease. Their dynamic was hilarious in the beginning, and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop and change. They both genuinely care for each other, there isn't any useless drama in regards to their relationship. The romance is pretty slow on this one, but it makes sense because QX is terminally ill, he doesn't want to enter an actual relationship with XY only to leave him widowed in the end. (Don't worry, this is a HE!)

I enjoy the story with a strong MC personality and Tsundere ML characters! There's no Angst detected for me. Just a little bit hurt/comfort.

Even though it felt like the MC was a Mary Sue-type of character, but I did enjoy the way the author write it.

... more>> I just want there's some touch of angst a little bit. But this portion was okay tho.

The character development between the MC and ML goes so well. It's a kinda slow burn but I really like their interaction with each other.

The entire story can be summed up in 2 words... Beautiful and Brilliant... The MC is a talented and brilliant guy and the ML is a sweet tsundere business giant... the pairing is very well matched which is the main highlight along with a lot of face slapping moments by the MC... all in all this is a must read book... I loved it... a huge shout out to the translator rainbow mushroom for the amazing translation.... thanking the author and the translator for bringing us this piece of gem...🙏💎

I'm crying. Feeling so soft after reading all that. Re-read this again and I loved it even more. This is exactly what I was looking for in novels. Strong, dependable, witty MC and an equally strong, dependable and soft ML. The amount of face-slapping is good, not too overbearing and seemed to flow into the story well. And the amount of dog food was unbearable, I love them. The way the author writes how they work to overcome the difficulties they face never fails to make me cry out of... more>> fondness. They're so well-matched, I'm so happy for them and their ending. UGH! Now I have to suffer trying to find a novel that can top this!
