Mu Xiaoya lived for twenty-six years before she knew that she had a sudden genetic disease. There was no medicine for it, and there was only death waiting for her.

Before she died, many people came to see her, but she was most impressed by Bai Chuan.

Bai Chuan was her neighbor, an autistic child with scholar’s syndrome. At that time, his face full of scars was desperate: “I – I studied all your medical records, but I have no way to save you.”

Mu Xiaoya was stunned: “You are a doctor?”

Bai Chuan: “I am not… …”

Mu Xiaoya’s disease was a genetic disease. Unless the gene was changed, there was no possibility of cure. However, Bai Chuan was the only person who tried to cure her after she fell ill.

Mu Xiaoya: “Why are you going to cure me?”

Bai Chuan: “I want to marry you.”

Mu Xiaoya laughed: “If you marry me, you will soon become a widower.”

Bai Chuan insisted: “I – I want to marry you.”

Bai Chuan, who has cognitive impairments, can’t express his meaning very well, and can only repeat it over and over again.

Later, Mu Xiaoya still died. When she woke up, she returned to the summer of her college graduation.

Bai Chuan: “I… I want to marry you.”

Mu Xiaoya: “Good.”

The starlight in the eyes of Bai Chuan was the most beautiful scenery that Mu Xiaoya had ever seen in her life.

Start with rebirth on the door to the civil affair bureau then moving forward to please confess to me and now I am here. Seems like grumpy crab is becoming bolder and bolder in feeding her readers dog food, even so we readers are thirsty for more.

Not gonna lie I also have very complicated feelings (same as FL) towards this novel. I will not be a hypocrite, and I'll have to say I really can't see myself as the FL. I don't have her patience, I don't have her courage,... more>> and I don't have the heart to see how my love suffer from any disease. That's why I really love the FL, how she faces the dilemma in front of her, how she truly care and support the ML, without feeling that he is a burden to her life unlike how other characters in the novel perceive their relationship.

This is a GEM novel with some bit of heartache (ML condition) and full of fluffy story. <<less

If you guys are tired or wanting to take a break from sly and cunning female leads, overbearing and black-bellied male leads, s*upid cannon fodders, dog blood drama, and just anything that is so repetitive in chinese novels then this is a right one for you.

The whole story is just sweet and heartwarming. The leads will experience a bit hardships since ML has an autism but they still love each other.

Spoiler

at first the FL agreed from the proposal of ML mainly because she felt pity towards him when she rejected him in her previous life but as time goes by the FL fell in love and everything is just so sweet and fluffs.

This is the great novel, you should give a try. It was funny, touching and fluffy.

At first I hesitated to read it but thankfully I give it a chance and I couldn't put it down until finish.

I can feel the mental struggle when she was building their relationship. The author could make a great story without heavy medical term but all the simple explanation was make sense.

... more>> Both of the MC and side characters were described nicely. I love almost all of the characters in this novel.

In short, this novel brings joy, sadness and laughter, so make sure to give it a chance and you will be happy if you do. <<less

I definitely would recommend this novel! I love disability novels the most because to me they are so pure and full of warm love. At first I was a little worried that I might not be able to read this novel due to the ml's autism because my knowledge about autism is really just basic. However I gave this novel a chance to broaden my view on autism and see how the author will implement autism into a romance novel. Sigh, I just got to say it's like a roller... more>> coaster ride. Kind of like watching a child grow up and wanting to only treasure it and give them everything they ever wish for. Watching the ML grow and change with the fl's help was such a heart warming and happy feeling. I enjoyed it so much that I just have to write a review because it was too good. Even if I havent finish the novel yet I feel like the ending would not disappoint me either. This novel will not disappoint you. It's a really sweet and loving romance novel. You really have to give it a try. <<less

The story is super sweet and fluffy. The ML is so pure that you want to protect him and give him candies and tell him that everything will be ok. Both MCs communicate well and work hard for their relationship. It was smooth sailing. No use drama or miscommunication. There was no 3rd party in their relationship. Thank God. But I hated the Secretary Wang something. I am glad her issue was resolved quickly. There was not much interaction with her and we can quickly forget this b*tchs existence. All... more>> the other characters were complete fluff balls. I especially loved the ML and his brothers relationship. Big bro is so protective of the ML.

Spoiler

The previous life was so tragic. I cried so much when I read about the MLs life in the 1st life and I kind of hated the MC for leaving him behind in their 1st life. The part where he waited for the MC to show up at her college gate for a whole day and then got hit by a car T-T. But the 2nd life has a happy ending otherwise I wouldn't have read the novel.

[collapse]

I am glad the author added some details like how MLs' autism wasn't healed immediately like magic but he got a bit better through hardwork and guidance from his family, MC and his psychologist. The author also showed how his condition affected those around him (MC getting stressed, parents overprotective). MC was also pretty supportive, coming up with new ways to show her care and love.

All in all, it was a really satisfying read. Its not getting updated here & I couldn't wait so I Mtld the novel. It was was easy to read. Its one of the best novels I have read. 100% recommend. <<less

the book has flaws, it isn't perfect. Even the portraying of the illnesses isn't right, but I still recommend for everyone to read this.

you will learned a lot of lesson. Most of the time you will caught yourself smiling while reading, then suddenly you will feel the tightness in your heart, then laugh because of their cuteness. It's roller coaster experience that I want to experience over and over again.

most of the things that really leave an impact on me about this book is how it perfectly show us how... more>> human nature works. When at some point, even if we don't want to, we wish for someone to be ill just so you can have an answer. Sometimes we hide things for the people we loved.

pls read this. This is really good and easy to understand. <<less

Romance-wise, it was good initially but after re-examining the whole novel and its portrayal of autism, it started feeling convoluted. Just like some of the comments have already explained, I also personally don't think this is a realistic setting for an autistic person's life. I would still give it a three because I enjoyed it while reading it way back but I cannot find myself rereading it after realizing the inaccuracy and derogatory nuances it has towards autism.

Though admittedly, even when I was reading it a long time ago, I... more>> was very perplexed that autism could be cured so easily but I just went with it because I was like this was fiction anyway. <<less

the MC is 6.5/10 stars to me. ... more>>
Spoiler

a bit weird in the sickness, how did she got healed like that, but this is still considered a fantasy so it should be alright? the character didn't make sense a lot, but it's alright maybe... a little, she treat her husband a little to much like a child, but still she cared for him anyway.

the ML is 8.5/10 Stars,
Spoiler

he's hilarious in his social inept and ignorance, his heartfelt kindness and pure love is so fluffy and down right heart throbbing, I have to stop in the middle of story just to check the correct way an autism act (i know someone like that, my neighbor even), he's so cute that he seems unreal, like... he's so well behaved!! how?! but still, I really like him, he's so cute!

This is one of the stories I like to re-read as a comfort read.

If you want a realistic story about loving someone with disabilities, this is not for you. Please find another book. The story is obviously fiction; you should not be expecting everything to be logical. The MC is rebirthed. That alone should tell you should just take it for what it is: a work of fiction. Not everything has to be accurate, so please, just take the work of the author and enjoy the interactions between the ML... more>> and MC. <<less

This was such a gem of a story, I absolutely adored the leads and their relationship. I was either grinning like a fool or shedding tears through the entirety of the story especially that extra chapter of the previous life was heartbreaking. That extra made me even more glad that these two found their way back to each other in this life.

My only complaint is that I wish we had more extra chapters, I wanted to read more about Bao Chuan and the son and maybe a little glimpse of... more>> a few years ahead into Bai Chuan and Mu Xiaoya's life together. <<less

4.0 stars.

I liked it more than this authors other work "please confess to me" but I still have to rate it a four because I can't say the cp is a favorite ship of mine.

Spoiler

The ML is treated like a baby by the MC, and his family so it makes it hard for me to ship them together, since the cp doesn't seem to be on equal footing to me. She's clearly the adult in their relationship.

The ml's autism isn't very realistic either he goes between low functioning and high functioning in a confusing way.

The biggest pill for me to swallow was the bracelet saving her life and the total made up illness cure the author pulled out of her *ss to make it so she doesn't die anymore.

the author knows nothing about genetic diseases or how they work either when she created the mysterious illness which really irked me.

[collapse]

All in all it was a good way to spend the day even it I don't ever feel like rereading this again. I'm more willing to try the authors other works now. <<less

Smol and cute novel in the sense that the wish fulfillment element outpaces its realism. Good luck finding the chapters that disappeared with the co-translating site.

Top 10/10 for me. The interactions between the MC and ML were so cute and fluffy. The MC is the best for working hard to improve the ml's autism. This novel is really quite unique, one of a kind and re-readable.

Healing and fluff, perfect for after an angst-filled novel or drama!

This novel is about flaws and humanity. On how a tiny gesture can change a life or in a broader scope a life. Is it realistic? Maybe but it is an idealistic wish for those that have scars yet push for a chance.

Fate is a funny thing, it truly is.

This was the first Chinese translated novel that I have read here in NU. This is also the reason why I'm now addicted to CT novels. Bai Chuan probably is not the best depiction of someone with autism, but the story is great. I still read this novel from time to time when I'm running out of novels to read. It's a light drama, no villain, and it's a happy ending. Give it a try if you're still hesitating.

I read this book quite some time ago. Since I stumbled across it again I figured I would write a review. Take it with a grain of salt though, as it has been some times since I read this.

So over all I remember really enjoying this book. It was not to short or to long for the content it had. The pace was also pretty free flowing and continuous.

plot wise I thought it was pretty cute and reasonable overall. Other than the major discrepancy over what disability the ML actually... more>> had. If you ignore that and take it for what it is, it is a cute story about love and appreciation that goes beyond health. The care shown from family and friends in this was very sweet and I liked how realistic every characters reactions to the couple.

So, ya I liked it. I may read again someday. Not the best book ever but it was still good. <<less
