Mu Xiaoya lived for twenty-six years before she knew that she had a sudden genetic disease. There was no medicine for it, and there was only death waiting for her.

Before she died, many people came to see her, but she was most impressed by Bai Chuan.

Bai Chuan was her neighbor, an autistic child with scholar’s syndrome. At that time, his face full of scars was desperate: “I – I studied all your medical records, but I have no way to save you.”

Mu Xiaoya was stunned: “You are a doctor?”

Bai Chuan: “I am not… …”

Mu Xiaoya’s disease was a genetic disease. Unless the gene was changed, there was no possibility of cure. However, Bai Chuan was the only person who tried to cure her after she fell ill.

Mu Xiaoya: “Why are you going to cure me?”

Bai Chuan: “I want to marry you.”

Mu Xiaoya laughed: “If you marry me, you will soon become a widower.”

Bai Chuan insisted: “I – I want to marry you.”

Bai Chuan, who has cognitive impairments, can’t express his meaning very well, and can only repeat it over and over again.

Later, Mu Xiaoya still died. When she woke up, she returned to the summer of her college graduation.

Bai Chuan: “I… I want to marry you.”

Mu Xiaoya: “Good.”

The starlight in the eyes of Bai Chuan was the most beautiful scenery that Mu Xiaoya had ever seen in her life.

I love reading how the relationship between Bai Chuan and Mu Xioa Ya grows and gets stronger throughout the novel. 💖💖 There are times when my heart aches and other times when my heart rejoices reading their daily interactions. Their love for each other really makes them a solid and loving couple.

I love the storyline, so fluffy and cute. I love the MC and ML interaction, so pure and precious.
Spoiler

Even though I was told that the hereditary part was a bit fictional, I still didn't like it because it was far from reasonable. But it's okay. I still like this story because the storyline is very interesting and very unique

Absolutely sweet, emotionally realistic (no weird irrational cannon foddering), immersive yet still melancholic romance novel!

Disclaimer: That's if you'd judge it as a fictional romance, as fictional romance it has done it's job well, but if we'd be talking about the accurate display of mental disability it'll rub you off in various ways if you're familiar with the topic. But to me, it's already a huge improvement based on what I've seen before in romance/asian novels like "hidden marriage". Hopefully, more authors can take mental illnesses more seriously and do their... more>> research properly. (Honestly, alone the fact that most romance novels do not even have healthy conversations and rarely properly explain their emotions to each other, this is already a huge step, you know @_@)

The main couple do have a wonderful relationship based on compromise, understanding and healthy conversations. Nevertheless there are also depressing moments that will hit your feelings like a sudden upper jaw cut. Extremely well balanced and gorgeously narrated. Can't praise it enough! <<less

First and foremost this is a novel and they don't usually portray things accurately anyways. So going in I knew from reading the reviews that they wouldn't accurately portray a person with autism. But I didn't let that get in the way of reading this novel. Besides that, this novel was really good. It gave me a pleasant surprise. It wasn't 100% the best but it was good and I finished it.

The ML, Bai Chuan, is very sweet but emotionally stunted and socially awkward. FL, Mu Xiaoya, died from a... more>> rare disease in her previous life and was reborn again into her past self. At first, Mu Xiaoya was like a fish out of water and didn't know what to do or how to help Bai Chuan but she slowly started getting better. The character development in this novel was so good. The growth of Bai Chuan and Mu Xiaoya was nice so see.

This novel made me cry, laugh and just plain happy. It is definitely worth it to read it. Bai Chuan's older brother having a bro-con cracks me up every time. <<less

A work of art built on emotions that captures a readers interest and keep it. You laugh, you cry you, wonder why ?Then you figure out, the novel is just that good. My only regret is that I couldn't read it in it's original form.

VERY FLUFFY. So much that I was giggling and smiling so ugly in the corner of the room in the dark. I gave it three stars mainly because of how the author portrayed the male lead. I have classmates as well as a cousin who is autistic and in some scenes, I felt utterly uncomfortable. The story's good if you aren't knowledgeable in this field but be warned to those who are sensitive to this subject.

I am a fan of this author. Enjoying her novels so much! It's the 2nd novel I've read by same author. I don't really dwell with the accuracy of the Autism and Scholar Syndrome mention here because two of her novel I've read before also had a share of fantasy already. So I just treat it as fiction and enjoyed what she wrote.

Despite the inaccuracy mentioned by other reviewer, this is a sweet and fluffy full of dog food. I love all the character, everyone is so nice and care.... more>> No villain at all which is rare for C-Novel. And I love it. The plot is also neat and very well written & well translated. <<less

It was honestly good. I live for the fluffy moments the couple have.

I admire MC for her patience and love the fact that she realized her feelings for xiao chuan.

For the ML gosh he's the sweetest.

However

The last parts seemed rushed to me. I was expecting more about her illness and how it will affect everyone but it just made 1 chapter.

Spoiler

And it was 'amazingly' solved by a jade bracelet

It felt lacking afterwards. Quite disappointed

What a beautiful story!!!

I loved every single bit of it! This is definitely a must-read!

I had my moments of happiness, tears, and excitement with the characters because you start to care for them so much.

I wish I could erase my memory and be able to read this all over again <3

I will forever cry over the fact that in the first life our ML went through sm but still only had the FL in his heart like brO the number of tears I've shed thinking about that. From the fire to the death of the FL... so sad... but I'm so glad we got the chance to witness a different ending. I had to stop the book before the last few chapters for a few days bc I was sooooo scared she would die... really had me emotional bc I cared so much for all of them.

I used to skip this even though it was in my "To Read" list because I didn't feel like reading it. I blame my taste really. I've always preferred those overbearing CEO types etc. Etc. But DAYUMMMM, I was glad that I finally read this! This was A VERY VERY VERY GOOD READ.

Male Lead has autism and scholar syndrome which makes it hard for him to socialize outside his own world. But not with FL. In his world, FL is present. She was one of the connections he had in... more>> interacting with the real world. Slowly but surely, ML expands his world with the help of FL.

Spoiler

Actually, ML could be like an overbearing CEO type. His rich due to his programming accomploshments. Well, his family is also rich. And what more, he's so stubborn. I really loved how attached he was with FL. Albeit, it was such a great responsibility to FL becayse of this attachment but it still showed how much ML loved her.

When the start of FL's disease started showing, ML actually told FL that he has found a solution so that he won't onset. If FL dies, he would also die. It didn't matter to him cause when FL was unconscious, he couldn't hear nor see anything. He cloaked himself in his world again. So, dying was essentially the same. This greatly scared FL that she said that she won't die. It's so hard to be someone's world but she took the risk because she loved him.

[collapse]

Edit: I came back again and saw so many bad reviews. And truth be told, they're right. Albeit, I still really do love the novel as my go to fluffy and no drama no 2nd ML or FL to break apart the couple kind of book. But the portrayal of the disease was apparently wrong. As one of the people who are unknowledgeable about mental illnesses, I am sorry. I won't try to romanticize it. I'll just treat it as it is---a fantasy going back in time kind of book. As long as I know that the portrayal of the disorder is wrong and that it is wrong to romanticize it and reflect it in real life situations. But I do hope people can still give this book a chance. Just keep in mind the wrong portrayals and dont generalize it in real life. <<less

God help us all.

This novel is way too amazing. The character growth throughout the novel is marvelous. This novel stars our ML that is struggling with autistic scholar syndrome. Our precious ML only lets in two people in his life, Grandma Bai and our MC (Mu Xioya). For him, once he let someone into his world, they become his whole entire world. In MC precious life, she left our ML alone in his world after pursuing her dream career. However, after experiencing her early death and realizing our ML devotion,... more>> she discovered that this empty unmeaningful life was not the life she would've want to continue. The life she wanted to continued was with our dear precious ML.

Seriously, seriously, 100 percent recommends. I finished this book in a total of 14 hours. And every minute I kept on wishing that this novel would be a forever. You guys this is just a really wholesome-precious-sweetlysorrowful- novel. Very good to read when you are down or already happy. <<less

This was a beautiful emotional rollercoaster. It's sweet, it's sorta sad but also makes you laugh until you cry a bit and has a happy ending, which is certainly more than I expected since the premise of the novel. Not gonna lie, a tragic finale would have been painfully attack to my heart that I would love to suffer, but the rest of the novel is so fluffy that it wouldn't suit it.

The extras are what I live for.
